It’s no secret that men are set to a different standard. We are inundated with the message that we have to be the best. If we truly want to be considered a man, we have to be the fastest, the strongest, the richest. We have to keep pushing no matter what. We are constantly in competition not only with every other man on the planet, but with ourselves. But what effect is this having on your mental health? Continuously pushing to be the best and achieve goals that society has drilled into us to be important have left us with feelings of never being good enough, anxiety and depression.
But what if we changed the metrics by which we measure success? How would that improve the quality of life?
