Tyra (00:01):
Hello, hello, hello.
How are you all on this day?
Happy New Year, and I hope youhad a wonderful, wonderful
holiday and we are here in 2025,and it is a blessing that we
are here seeing another day, andyou know what that means.
(00:22):
That means that you get anotherday to be grateful, another day
to be thankful.
Also, another day to alsocreate some space for love,
peace and joy.
Yes, Lord, thank you, Lord.
So make sure that you are beingmindful of what you are thinking
, because, as you think it,you're probably going to feel it
(00:44):
and as you feel it, you maybehave it.
So, just in case, you may havesome transformation type of goal
that's going on for the year of2025, because you know the
Bible says that in order to betransformed, you have to renew
(01:06):
your mind.
So, if you have some goalswhere you are trying to
transform, or you know behaviorsthere are some behaviors that
you are trying to change youknow what I mean Some things
that you don't want to doanymore.
(01:26):
You know some habits that youare trying to get rid of, or
maybe you know some good habitsthat you want to pick up on,
most definitely you have torenew your mind.
Okay, most definitely, you haveto renew your mind, okay.
(01:46):
So what is that saying?
That is saying that we have tohave a mental training.
If I were to break this down, baby, that's exactly what I'm
saying have a mental training, because it's all mental, because
it's all mental.
So, for example, I am in theprocess of creating a good habit
(02:14):
, and that habit is making surethat I write, because I am an
author and I am hoping to have amanuscript in three months.
So my goal is to make sure thatI write every single day, every
(02:36):
single day.
So guess what it's mental.
It's mental Because I can sithere and say that I'm going to
do it, and it's good, it's goodto make decisions, it's good to
say, hey, I'm going to do this,I am going to wake up at such
and such time and I'm going todo this and I'm going to spend
(02:59):
this amount of time on makingsure that I stay focused and
right.
Okay, but, babe, guess what?
When it gets to that daywhatever day it is that you say
you're going to start, you'refighting, you're fighting.
You're fighting Because you'refighting against whatever that's
going on within you, yep, andyou're fighting against whatever
(03:24):
that's going around you outside.
So it's an external andinternal type of conversation
that you're having, becauseyou're like, oh, all these
things going on around me andthen I'm dealing with some
things on the inside, why can'tI just get up and just do what I
(03:47):
said I'm going to do?
Because you have to go throughthat mental training.
You have to renew your mind, especially when you're trying to
consistently create a habit.
So renewing your mind is aprocess.
I hope people are not thinkingthat this is something that you
(04:07):
can absolutely do overnight, because you can make a decision
overnight.
You sure can.
You can do that within aninstant.
That only takes a few seconds.
But actually doing it,implementing it, applying it,
it's going to take more thanjust making a decision.
(04:29):
You're basically going to haveto go through the process of
getting yourself mentally ready, because as you think it, you're
going to feel it and as youfeel it you're going to behave
it.
So if I'm saying that I want tobehave like I am a writer, that
means I have to train my brainto absolutely get up as if I'm
(04:53):
getting paid to write.
Okay, because it's so easy forme to get up in the morning,
especially at 5 o'clock, and domy workout and then, after I
work out, I'm going to my job.
That I know going to pay, that's so easy because we know
we got to do that.
If we want to eat, if we wantto go buy some things, if we
want to go pay our bills, we'regoing to do what we got to do.
(05:13):
But when it comes to thingsthat you know, that's not like a
motivation like that becausethat is a good motivation, by
the way, you know, to be able toget your pay.
But you also have to have thatmotivation as well when it is
something that is not like that, where you are, you know not
(05:34):
getting paid.
You know, eventually I amtalking to myself now I am going
to be getting paid after Youknow, I get a publisher for this
book, but that has to begetting paid after I get a
publisher for this book, butthat has to be my motivation.
So what is your motivation?
So you have a transformationgoal.
(05:54):
What is your motivation?
What is motivating you toabsolutely get up every single
morning and do it?
Because it is going to be aboutyour motivation.
Remember what I just said.
What you think is how you feel.
Mm-hmm, your feelings are goingto be all involved in that
motivation.
(06:14):
It really is.
But I know how some people sayyour motivation it has to be,
you know, more intense than yourfeelings.
It has to be above it, it hasto rise above it.
You know, more intense thanyour feelings, it has to be
above it, it has to rise aboveit, you know.
But let's just be real.
Some things are very hard tojust do, especially if you're
(06:37):
trying to change your behavior, especially one that was not good
, and you're trying to make surethat it is a healthy habit.
It's going to take somediscipline and it's going to
take some mental training, because you're going to always
(07:00):
have to wake up and say what ismy purpose for doing this, what
is my purpose for doing this, what is my why for doing this?
Your motivation is going to bethe key, but it's a mental
training.
So, while you're in the processof trying to you know, I guess
(07:23):
accomplish these transformationgoals, have those conversations
within yourself, you know, writedown those motivations, because
those are going to be thereasons and the purposes for
actually doing it, actuallydoing it, actually doing it,
(07:45):
because you do want to be ableto just wake up and say, hey,
I'm really different now.
You know, I'm no longer doing x, y, z.
That's a blessing.
If you are already doing thosethings, I applaud you for it,
you know.
(08:05):
Please be grateful for thosedays, those weeks or those hours
or those minutes where youactually have turned it over to
the Lord to say I am doingthings differently this year.
(08:26):
It's a blessing.
So, keep going, keep moving, you will do it, you will make it
Okay, you will accomplish, youwill do it.
And if you fall, give yourselfsome grace and get up, dust
(08:48):
yourself off and do it again.
So if you mess up today onsomething that you ate and you
know you ain't paid to have it,okay, you see tomorrow, guess
what, it's a brand new day Forthe mercy.
Give yourself some grace andsay this day I'm starting fresh,
(09:13):
I'm doing it again, I'm gettingup, I'm trying it again, I'm
getting up, I'm doing it again.
Even in that day, I'm gettingup and I'm trying it again, I'm
getting up, I'm doing it again.
Even in that day, I'm gettingup and I'm doing it again,
because that's what makes itsomething that you actually are
doing.
You're doing it.
(09:34):
Now, if you just sit around heresaying, well, I'm trying.
I'm really.
I'm just going to tell youright now, baby, trying and
doing are not the same.
They are not the same.
They ain't even the samevocabulary.
They just not Trying and doing.
I'm trying.
I really am no, baby.
(09:55):
The question is are you doingit?
Are you doing it?
Are you doing it?
Are you doing it?
Are you doing it?
Are you doing what you said?
Are you doing what you havemade the decision to do?
Okay, when I look up tryingversus doing, trying implies
effort and intention Okay, effort and intention, but
(10:21):
success is not guaranteed.
While doing means activelyengaging in a task and making
progress, mm-hmm, doing is youare actually doing something.
Trying means you're justimplying, baby, you're just
doing some talking.
You're trying, you know, andthere's nothing talking.
You trying, you know, andthere's nothing wrong with to be
(10:44):
talking about it.
There's nothing wrong withprocessing it.
There's nothing wrong withjournaling about it.
There's nothing wrong withtelling your friend about it.
There's nothing wrong withwalking over to the neighbor's
next door and saying you know, guess what?
Oh, there's nothing wrong withthat baby.
But guess what?
Talking and walking is twodifferent things.
(11:05):
You're going to have to do somewalking on that.
Talking.
That means actually doing whatyou said that you are going to
do, because that's what implyingmeans I'm going to do it.
So trying and doing is twodifferent things, so just do it.
(11:26):
Like Nike says just do it.
Do it.
Okay, just do it.
If you say that you're going tolose some pounds, okay, do it.
You already know the steps todo it, so do those things.
That means you're eating, exercising, making sure that you
are preparing yourself for thattoo, because if you are not
(11:51):
preparing yourself, you're notpreparing those meals, you're
not getting those workoutclothes out the night before or
making sure that when you areout and about that, hey, you got
some healthy snacks with you.
See, those are implements ofdoing.
You know I'm actually doingsomething, but trying, trying
(12:15):
going to be like I'm going to be, I'm just going to wait till
tomorrow to see if I'm going toget up and work out.
But a person who's actuallydoing something, they're
actually going to wait tilltomorrow to see if I'm going to
get up and work out.
But a person who's actuallydoing something, they're
actually going to put theirworkout clothes and have it
right there by the bed.
You know, and say hmm, and setthe alarm and say I'm getting up
at this time and making surethe alarm go off at the time, so
that you know that, hey, in themorning, mentally, I'm telling
(12:35):
you right now, body, you'regoing to get up at 5 o'clock.
So you know the night beforewhat you're doing is having that
mental training.
Hey, at 5 am we're getting up.
Baby, I'm just letting you know.
And when I say by we, thatmeans you talking to yourself,
because you do have to talk toyourself when you have a mental
training.
All right, so don't forget that, have those conversations with
(12:58):
yourself, which means that youare telling your body that this
is what we're going to do.
We're getting up at 5 am.
I got my nightclothes over hereon the nightstand.
You see him?
Yeah, I see you.
You see my eyeballs?
Yeah, okay, eyeballs.
See the nightclothes sitting onthe nightstand, got my towel
and everything, all right.
So I got my alarm set and we'regoing to get up at 5 am and we
(13:20):
are going to do 30 minutes.
So be prepared.
Getting up at 5 am, 5 am comes, you hear the alarm going off and
all you can do is turn it onand have that conversation with
yourself.
Okay, you remember, I told youlast night.
We're getting up at 5 am, so wegot to get up.
So let's say that, for example, you're laying there and you're
(13:44):
just like, oh my God, my body'sjust feeling like it just don't
want to get up.
I mean, I just need five moreminutes.
Let me just snooze this alarmfor five more minutes, this
alarm for five more minutes.
You know, instead of sayingthat, hey, I need, you know,
(14:06):
three more minutes or I'm justhaving a hard time getting up
out of this bed, I would preferthat you say, lord, help me get
out of this bed.
Help me, Jesus, to get out ofthis bed, because I need the
strength, because we had made adecision that we were getting up
(14:26):
at 5 am and we were going to doright through the minutes, lord
, so please get me out this bed, give me the strength, lord.
God, what is my reason formaking sure?
I mean, what was our reason foreven setting this clock so that
we can get up and do 30 minutes?
Okay, so why we ain't got thebed yet then?
(14:48):
Okay.
So, Jesus, the legs, they don'twant to get up.
So what we're going to do iswe're going to, you know, slide
it on over one leg at a time.
You know, maybe if I just kickmy feet up under the cover, you
know one feet at a time, but Istill got my eyes closed, you
(15:09):
know, and I'm just sliding outthe bed One at a time, one leg
at a time, one foot at a time, and all while I'm doing all that
, trying to get this body insuggestion, I'm calling on Jesus
.
Jesus, we just trying to makeit so we can get to this workout
.
(15:29):
The conversation is the key.
What did I say?
Mental training is the key.
I also said preparation is thekey.
Your motivation is the key toalso making sure that you are
creating healthy habits.
(15:51):
These are some very good keysman, mental training, motivation
, communication.
Yes, Lord, communication, it'sthe key.
You have to have thoseconversations with the Lord.
You have to have thoseconversations with the Lord.
You have to have thoseconversations with yourself,
(16:11):
most definitely, because you arethe one who is in control of
your body.
Hallelujah, Thank you, Jesus.
That is one of the fruits ofthe Spirit, by the way
self-control.
So you are the one who's incontrol of the body.
So you're going to have to havea conversation and be like baby
you ain't in control of me.
(16:32):
I'm in control of you.
So we're going to have thismental training right now.
We're going to have thisconversation, because I already
made my decision, I alreadywrote the goal down on paper and
I have already gave mymotivation.
So we're going to do it.
We ain't going to try, we aregoing to do it.
Thank you, lord.
(16:53):
And don't you know, when youhave done that habit that you
have set for yourself, you'regoing to be so thankful.
You're going to be so thankfulBecause there have been many
times I had to call on Jesus tohelp me and when I was done with
that workout, I was so gratefuland I was so thankful and I
said, lord, I pray.
I was done with that workout, Iwas so grateful and I was so
thankful and I said, lord, Ipray and I thank you for, you
(17:14):
know, getting me up because itwas rough, you know, but I did
it, you know.
You feel so good because youdid it, you know, and you want
to do it again the next day.
You know making it a habit.
And I don't know how many daysthings become a habit Now,
according to, you know, google,it say about 21 days, but I need
(17:35):
to be doing every single daythat I'm able to see and I'm
able to do it.
So, whatever your goal is, justmake sure that you are doing a
mental training, because we are,we can, we are able to be
transformed by the renewing ofour minds.
(17:56):
All right, so don't forgetmental training, motivation and
communication.
That means communicating withthe Lord and also communicating
with yourself.
So, for a happy new year.
This is what I wanted to comeout here and tell you about,
because that's what most of thepeople do anyway.
You know, when the New Yearrolls around, they want to, you
(18:19):
know, throw out the old andbring in the new.
And whatever that new year thatyou are trying to transform into
, make sure that you are doingthese psychological steps by
having a mental training baby, because it's so, so important
that you renew your mind, andyou have to renew it by having
(18:44):
some mental training.
So, just in case you do want toalso add some scriptures in
there as well, just look upthose scriptures for those
habits that you're trying toincorporate into your life,
because there is a scripture foreverything, everything.
(19:04):
When I do say everything, I domean everything.
So, just, you know, so thatwould be your spiritual strength
by having those scriptures, andthen you'll have your
psychological you know ways ofhow you can create these new
habits and as well as yourphysical, because they all have
(19:27):
to be bounded Spirit, soul andbody.
All right.
So I hope you all have awonderful, wonderful day on this
day and just create space, okay, create space for love, peace
and joy.
Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus, and continue to show yourself
(19:47):
some grace, because we all weall, baby have fallen short of
the glory of the Lord.
But at the same time, when youfall, what's important is how
you get up, how you react to it.
Okay, be mindful that whateveryou do is so important.
(20:09):
Because how, the way you reactto it, it is a part of life.
Things are going to be going onaround us, but how, the way you
react to it is really going tobe the key, and I would rather
you unlock it with some goodbehavior, all right, so be kind
(20:32):
to yourself now, because theLord do want you to be kind to
yourself, and while you're beingkind to yourself, I would want
you to also love others, and notonly just love others, but love
the Lord and also love yourself.
