Speaker 2 (00:21):
I have an
uncontrollable addiction of
firearms.
Welcome back to another episodeof Messy Buns and Shotguns,
number 30, whatever 34.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Welcome to another
episode of Messy Buns and
Shotguns.
I am your host, Kim, and myco-host.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You can't be a host
and co-host.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
You are the co-host,
I am the host, you are the
co-host.
I am excited for today'sepisode.
I feel we have quite a bit totalk about, in a way, mainly you
, because I'm going to kind ofdedicate this episode to you and
(01:22):
your triumph.
So you just got back from along weekend which.
I'm very proud of myself fordoing so well.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
You didn't have a
meltdown when I was gone.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I did not and I did
very well.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
You did very well.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
But I want to talk
about you.
So you went this weekend to godo your long rifle shooting at
Bank Steel.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I did.
I went down to Bank Steel andwith Will Virginia, with the
guys down there, Dan and Forrest.
They are outstandinginstructors at what they do.
I've been looking forward totaking that course.
For a while.
Built a rifle for it, knowingvery little about long range
shooting.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
So is that what this
like?
What is Bank Steel Like?
Tell us about that Bank.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Steel is a long range
shooting course, long range
shooting school, and that's whatthey do and they are violently
good at it.
Day one we went down there.
We thought we might have had aweather call earlier in the week
, but we didn't.
The class went on.
It was myself and two othershooters and we had an absolute
(02:28):
blast of a time.
We all met up and went to therange and we had a couple hours
of discussion about long rangeshooting and kind of what you
need to take into considerationand things that you wouldn't
normally think about in your, ifyou're an average shooter, in
your day to day.
I mean, we talked about bulletvelocities and rises and falls
(02:51):
and angular shooting and howtemperature and elevation and
air density and everything canchange your table because, 90%
of the battle is known thedistance.
Once you know the battle, onceyou know the distance, I mean
you can dial for it and the onlything you have to make a call
from there is a wind call.
But I learned a lot from thoseguys.
(03:13):
I'm not going to give the wholespiel because I want people to
go down there and see them.
They have an outstanding classand I was just.
I was over the moon.
I had a damn good time of blastDay one.
We went out there and you knowwe got made sure, you know, did
an equipment check, make surethe rifles are going to perform
(03:34):
the standard, and I took the 6-5that I built on my very limited
knowledge on Savage.
110 went down.
I did run, it suppressed and westarted shooting the targets.
So we did our 100 yards zeroand like it was on from there.
They're like all right, here'swhat your 600 yards zero is.
They're like first targets andlike we're going to skip
(03:55):
everything in close to likefirst target 600 yards.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
At first I was like I
was like I'm fucking ways, I
had six football fields, youknow and I was like, all right,
so I got down behind the rearbag.
Part of the instruction wasthey give us like hey, this is
how you need to use your rearbag.
You know when you pull thetrigger like this is how you're
going to stay on target, and youknow, first shot rings out.
(04:20):
I hit high and left on that 600yard target.
But I didn't miss the targetand I was like all right, the
first one was like me liketotally, totally janked it.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I think you were
nervous and excited.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I was.
I was a little nervous, I was alittle excited.
I was like if I miss this firstshot, I'm going to like be
upset.
It's like it's going to set thetone.
Nailed the first, nailed thefirst shot, and then it's like
all right, I felt myself jerk onthat one Right, Run the action
and just kept hammering.
It laid five shots on targetand I was like all right.
So then the student behind mecame in.
Student behind me came in andhe's like all right, next one's
(04:51):
720.
And I was like we're going toreach out there and just kept
dropping steel man Kept drawingtargets from 720.
We went to 850.
Went from 850 to 900, from 900to 1040, 1040 to 1200.
Just kept ringing steel.
1200 was probably one of themore challenging targets because
, like I, didn't go up in scopepower.
(05:12):
So that's really where youreally had to start paying
attention to, like how you'resqueezing the rear bag Because,
like, if you're not solid, likeif you're, if you're touching
the rifle, like if you'resqueezing on the rifle, you're
like, depending on how you setup behind it, like if you're
squeezing on the rifle, evenyour heartbeat and your breath
is going to affect it at thatkind of distance.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Right.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
So I could tell I was
holding the rifle too tight
because, like every time, Iwould like try to take a breath
or everything.
I could feel my heartbeat andlike I'd, watch the rifle.
Radical move.
I was like let go dummy.
So like I let go after thefirst few rounds and like,
dependent on the like, focusedon the rear bag, and like just
laying my hand across the like, laying my finger across the
(05:54):
trigger, and I was like use therear bag to stabilize the rifle,
make sure I'm laying into itand just just slow, steady,
trigger press Let the rifle, letit be a surprise when it goes
off Rung the 12, 1200 target.
So we were going to cyclethrough that and then they're
like but anybody want to shootfor the mile.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
And I was like I do,
hell yeah, I do you do and I was
your whole goal the whole time.
So there was two goals, yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, so we walked it
in.
Well, they put me on the targetand they're like you see, the
target, as I kept got it and thefirst two at a mile didn't
connect, like I was right there.
I was like I was probably justjust off the left edge of the
target.
And third shot on the milewhack Dead center.
That thing run the action, pulled it again whack.
(06:40):
I was like yes, so that was, that was day one, but had had an
outstanding time.
And then we figured out that Ididn't have enough Elevation to
dial.
And this is when, like Ilearned that the sat the scope
base that comes on the savagerifles.
Isn't all that great Would itdo what I needed to do, and in a
(07:01):
pinch?
Yeah 100%, like I was able todial enough elevation, but if I
really wanted to reach out thereand after repeated use, like
the aluminum, they using thosein those scope bases aren't
aren't great, and Force gave mesome recommendations of where to
find one.
And then Dan was like I knowwhere one, you can get one in
town.
And so I went down there andgot one.
(07:22):
But the way that savage drillsthose actions, they're using the
848 screws or the 820s and notthe 640s, I don't remember the
exact number, but it didn't fit.
So I was rather impressed withthe ingenuity and like the
experience that the Dan had, andso what he did is he took the
(07:44):
screws out of my gun and putthem in a drill and pulled out
the leatherman, the file and theleatherman he's, ran them and
Laved them down to the.
The screws that I had would fitthrough the weaver and we
reamed out the mount so that thescrews would go through it and
remounted, re-zeroed and andright back out at 1200 yards,
right back out.
So like I hat tricked the 12,all the targets, all the way out
(08:05):
to 1200s like me and one of theother shooters the guy who had
the accuracy international, while the other guy was working
on some PRS stuff with force.
We were just ringing targetswith Colonel Ron and we hat
tricked everything out to 1200and he's like you want to go for
the mile again?
I was like hell yeah, I want togo for the mile again.
So I just rolled up on what Iknew I needed to dial and like I
(08:27):
had the elevation to dialbecause I put a true 20-minute
angle scope base on it.
So I had more, I had up to 16, Icould dial up to 16 mils in
Just the on the dials, and thenI had 12 more in the reticle, so
like I could reach out in adecent ways.
And then, yeah, so I just ranit up and back to back that mild
heart.
I was like I'm good with that.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, and then?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
The other shooter
brought the accuracy
international.
It was a beautiful rifle.
Like it was fantastic.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I've never shot one
of those before.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
I've seen him with a
nerd at shot one and he had a
tangent theta optic on it.
It's just, it was premium, likeI want one, so fucking bad now.
But, uh, we were.
He was shooting at the.
The conditions weren't greatfor shooting at the one mile tar
or the, the 1.2 mile tar, 2165yards.
We had some haze on themountain and the day the first
(09:21):
day it was a little too wet, solike we couldn't see the
splashes.
Yeah and a lot of the shot.
So I rolled up behind.
She was like, hey, can I put afew rounds through it?
And fired the first two and wewere able to see where I was and
I fired the third one and Ihear force just go stand by for
impact.
And I were waiting you'rewaiting and it seems like an
(09:41):
attorney about eight seconds forthe report to come back.
When you hear you.
Can hear it you can hear it,really you can hear the steel
ring if you, if it's real quietand the conditions are right,
and we heard it.
Nice, good for you and uh so Inailed my 2165 target on my
first trip down there and now Ijust want to build a rifle that
(10:04):
I can do that with my own rifle.
Yeah, because my I didn't haveenough elevation to dial, even
using, even using the millradians that I had left in the
scope, like I couldn't dial evenclose enough and there wasn't
enough, wasn't enough, mills ontarget for me to like aim for
the top of the target becausethe targets only one meter wide.
So I was rather happy with thatand I Got to go down and hang
(10:30):
out with them and I stayed anextra night because I plan on
leaving Sunday anyway.
Yes, that's correct, you did gotto, got to join them on the
bang steel podcast you did.
I had a very amazing.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
For you.
When you text me into, you'relike I was talking about
something and you like cut meoff.
And you were like hey, baby, baby, baby.
And I was like what?
And you told me like, and I wasjust like oh my gosh, I was so,
so excited for you, justbecause I had a blast there.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
They're just real
good down to earth dudes and I
listened to the episode andthey're damn good at what they
do.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I got to get a list
together for them.
Apparently I heard, so yeah.
We need to if y'all arelistening to this episode, I
will get a list and you'relistening to you, gentlemen.
Because I feel your pain.
Like I, we went if you listenany of our episodes round and
round my computer finally couldput on me and so I am
improvising and finally spent alittle money and got some some
(11:25):
items.
So I'll send you the list of Ofwhat we're doing.
But yeah, you so talk aboutthat.
So how was the podcast?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
It was good.
I mean, I listened to theirpodcast every week.
I listened all the bonusepisodes they release.
I really want to try and getdown to their Mentor match.
That, the next mentor matchthat they have.
I just wasn't ready for it whenthey had it the first time.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I Like listen to
their podcast, not only because
they're like funny a lot of thetime, but like they're very
knowledgeable, like and I likecuz, like I listen to you, like
they are, so like I listen tothem and I'm just like whoa,
like I don't even know whatthey're half the stuff they're
talking about, but it's veryknowledgeable information so
y'all should definitely.
If you're into like long rangerifle shooting, you should
(12:08):
definitely listen to.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
But modern standard.
This is going to be consideredextreme long range.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah, so, but they're
the bang steel long range
shooting podcast and you canlisten to them on Apple.
About anywhere you can find us,you can find them.
So I enjoy listening to themand I I'm definitely going to go
back multiple times.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I want to go down for
.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I would like to go.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
We'll have to build
your rifle actually, if I can
build the PRC.
So they gave me recommendation.
I was thinking I wanted tobuild 338 La Pua well, you know
my Magnum right and theyactually gave me the
recommendation at 300 PRC isgoing to be a little better.
The only thing I'm going tolose is a few you know foot
pounds at Target.
(12:50):
So the only Back and forth thatI have is if I was going to go
300 338, la Pua mag is I wouldstill maintain an anti material
capability if I needed to.
But I was looking yesterday onthe RS R vendor and I found a
Bergara HMR 26 inch, 300 PRC Ona blim sale.
(13:14):
Like I'm much like how I got mysavage with a damaged case for
like less than a thousanddollars.
So I was like, oh, I want to doit so bad.
Like I said, you know myresponse to that and you want a
new computer after we just goton stuff.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
I do want a computer.
I only bought an iPad.
I'm paying for the iPad, okay, anywho, but what so?
I don't remember we went, didwe talk about?
Speaker 2 (13:40):
because, speaking of,
since we're on the topic of I
Don't remember if we talkedabout you going trying out
handguns.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I don't know if we
did or not, but anywho, I'm
gonna kind of segue.
So that was a really good tripfor you came back on a high
You've been writing the high fora couple days now and I'm very
happy for you, I'm very proud ofyou.
And you know, something I kindof want to Segway into a little
(14:07):
bit, because we do talk about, you know, marriage and stuff on
this podcast as well.
As Last night we were, we weregoing to bed I told you that I
was proud of you and I kind ofwanted just and I kind of felt
like that meant a lot to you.
I'm just and I just kind ofthink that, like you know, I
(14:27):
kind of notes a lot like likepeople sit there and they'll
tell you like I'm proud of you,I love you, yada, yada, yada,
like on a daily bait, like wetell each other a lot that we're
I'm proud of you, you're gonnado great.
You're doing great, you'rephenomenal.
But I think, sometimes takingthat time when your like even if
it's a family member of, justlike when you least expect it,
versus like when something bigis going on, when they really
(14:50):
accomplish.
Yeah, yeah Like when youaccomplish goals at work or
something happens, you're like,oh, I just crushed, like good,
great, I'm so proud of you.
Like you did awesome.
Or like when you like nail atest or something like that,
like I'm so proud of you.
But I think when it comes tolike, life is kind of you know
what did me?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
it mean I did.
It did mean a lot to me, like Iput months of work and research
into that rifle.
But it's not even that and Ispent lots of time on the range
like trying to get, trying toget, like my, my shot pattern,
like trying to get.
I know I need to be within awithin a minute of angle, at a
hundred yards, like I need toput more time behind the gun to
be able to make thoselong-distance shots.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
But it's not that I'm
just talk.
I'm talking about like just ingeneral, like when you're not
expecting it To have someonethat you really, that you love
and care about and all thesethings, to sit there and just
kind of just look at you, oreven when you're laying in bed
and just say I Just want you toknow no one's told you lately.
You know, like I'm very proudof you, I'm a proud of
(15:52):
everything you do, like what youprovide.
You know how far you've come, how hard you work.
Like just that I'm actuallylike and I it Feels different
than the normal.
Yeah proud of you, you know.
And so I felt like last nightand I think, like you know
Communication and taking thattime and saying things like cuz,
like I did that with my sisterrecently, like her and I were
chatting on the phone a littlewhile ago and you know she's
(16:15):
always doing stuff and I kind offelt like you know When's the
last time that someone ever saidthat they were Legit proud of
you or just said like I'm proudof you?
You know, like versus out ofthe like good job, proud of you.
Right and I told her that likewe were just kind of on the
phone and she was talking aboutstuff and I said I like I just
kind of felt it, I was like youknow, I just want you to know
(16:37):
that I'm really, really proud ofyou, you know, and and that
meant a lot and so I think aboutthat with us.
You know, like we've come along way, especially like
communication wise, like wecommunicate a Whole lot better.
Are you watching tiktok's whenI'm trying to steal my heart out
to you right now?
Speaker 2 (16:54):
No.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
No, but I just kind
of feel like that's really
important, you know, just like,do you think about people that
you're going through hard timesand kind of when they're having
those moments of just lettingthem know that you know, you're
proud of them and what they'reaccomplishing and what they're
doing, and that it's all gonnabe okay and that it's all gonna
(17:17):
come together and you know, andthey're not alone, you know.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
So I think it's
important that you like take the
time outside of like what yournormal routine would be and like
having no shit conversation.
They like, hey, they come backto earth for a second and Like
have a heartfelt conversation.
Yeah, so I was they could beday savers.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah, that's what.
So I kind of felt like that wasand I kind of felt like so with
that.
Also, speaking of marriage, wehave a little thing where we
like to.
We always go around saying thisis this is why we're married,
because we have littleoff-the-wall things we're.
We'll say the same thing at thesame time, at the same time
thinking the same thing at thesame time, say it or whatever,
(18:04):
and I always forget to writethem all down because I want to
kind of use them as little skitson the podcast.
But I wrote one down yesterday,so lately, because we are
married, I have a wedding ringand I have not purchased you one
yet, so we've been married foralmost eight.
We've been together for almosteight years.
Married for almost five thisyear and.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Me dammit from my mom
wedding ring, that shitty.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I bought the one you
wanted.
I know, yeah, but I'm One two.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
You bought the one.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
outside of that, I
bought the one you wanted,
you're right you did, and anywhoso.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
It's not my fault.
It turned your finger green.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Well, it was.
I'm allergic to it, so that'sit, it doesn't matter, I have
one, you do not.
So the one you want.
I do want to get you, yes, butso it's been, I'm sure.
Many days, so much crap.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
I have a, you have a
guy in your eyes and I want to
ring.
I don't really care, mind yourown.
Our marriage is fine.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
So recently you've
been asked if you were married
because it was brought to theattention that you did not have
a wedding ring.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
And my instant out
reaction was I'm buying you a
damn red wing this weekend.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
So did I do that no?
Speaker 1 (19:20):
but so the point is.
So last night we were watching, just go with it.
And if you haven't seen it,it's a movie with.
It's a rom-com with AdamSandler and Jennifer Aniston,
and he basically uses a weddingring to sleep with chicks.
So we're watching this togetherand she is not caring the girl
(19:41):
is not caring about any of theguys who are hitting on her that
are single, but the one marriedguy who's just trying to be
sweet.
She decides oh, your marriageis whatever, and let me just
take me home.
And so at the same time, youlook at me and I look at you and
you say and you want me to geta wedding ring.
(20:02):
And I said you're never gettinga wedding ring Like at the same,
like just like simultaneously, and we both started laughing and
I was like this is why we'remarried.
But I am going to get you awedding ring one day.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
I believe it when I
see it.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Well, you know, the
one you want is a little
expensive, so not that badCompared to most wedding bands
for men.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Have you seen those
wedding?
Speaker 1 (20:26):
bands Speaking of
wedding bands.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
We, oh, my God.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
So, speaking of like,
I don't need you.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
I had to go get size
for a band.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
We went to go get
size for a wedding band so I
could, you know, get him awedding.
So we decided to go into Zalesto get measured and I was
looking around and of course, ladies trying to, you know, sell
us some stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
She was trying to
sell it.
So hard to sell it.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Me, if any of you who
know me, I, without even
thinking about it, tend to justpick the most expensive thing in
the store and I'm like, oh,that's cute, and then it ends up
being the most expensive.
So I found this really cute, beautiful it was, and it wasn't
even extra, like it wasn't crazybig, it wasn't like a huge,
(21:14):
like it was like decent, normalsize, I thought.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
I don't, I don't know
what normal would be.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
It wasn't like taking
up my whole finger.
The rock was not like it was anormal reggae.
It just looks just like the oneI have.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
I have another
comment when you're done telling
the story.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Okay, that's fine.
So I'm looking at it.
We're like, oh, this is such abeautiful set, yada, yada, yada.
Okay, let's make a wish list.
I'm thinking, yeah, we know, ina million years, whatever, like
I always thought, maybe when weget to 10 years of marriage,
like we could really buy, thenhopefully maybe get something a
little more, whatever, itdoesn't matter.
(21:53):
Anyway, we leave the store andas we're walking out and we're
walking through the store, if weget measured, and she makes the
wish list for him and all thatstuff, which I know is never
going to happen, which.
I'm not expecting it to, sodon't like think anything like
that.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
But not with the next
part of the story.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
You walked on.
You Did you see the price ofthat ring?
Speaker 2 (22:14):
And I said no, honey,
I don't look at the price.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
I was just looking at
the ring.
He goes well, the band, justthe band was five grand.
The ring was 15,000.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Oh, it was 15 all
together.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Oh, it was 15 all
together.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
The ring itself was
10,000.
Fuck it.
No, she's like we have 18months.
No interest in the way.
I was like, yeah, bullshit.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
I said oh no, no, no.
I said, honey, I don't wantthat, I'll take a car and a
computer.
Thank you, fuck that 18,000,15,000 dollars I said I don't
need that, I'd rather have abrand new car Get out of here.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
She would send me a
follow up email with my wish
list on it.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Well, ok, maybe I'll
post that.
I was like delete, delete.
It was.
I mean, it was a very prettyring but I did not think it to
be that expensive.
I was like I would expect tothe ones that have like the
bigger rock and whatever on it,like diamonds all the way around
, to be that amount.
(23:12):
I was not.
It was like it wasn't even afull carrot.
I don't think, I don't know,but not that you know anything
about that, ladies who listen tothis.
But it was.
It was quite funny.
So what's your comment that youwanted to add on to the end of
it?
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Remember when she
asked you do you want real
diamonds or lab diamonds?
Yeah and I told her I was like,we want real ones, because that
means somebody had to fightover them bitches.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
You didn't think your
comment.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
I think that was
funny.
I thought it was hilarious.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Yeah, she didn't
think it was funny.
But um turn, what else?
What else went on?
Oh, while you were gone.
So, oh man, sorry, it's likeI've been eating a lot of spicy
food lately and my heartburn hasjust been like out of control,
so we got to Baby sit or houseat our roommate, our friends dog
(24:09):
, last week our roommate, nolonger roommate, it's dog last
week, aries and him, and it'swhere our like best friends.
And you know how, like when yougo to a friend's house and you
have a really great time andthen, like after so long, you
decide I'm ready to go home orI'm gonna stay here.
(24:29):
Yes, you never like went andstayed at your friend's house
and then, like after Like a weekor so, you're like I'm ready to
go home.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I do that anywhere I
go, yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Aries did that.
So like right when you left.
I don't know if it was becauseof the full moon last week, but
right when you left mark here.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
He was in Gatorade.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, for real.
Like all hell broke loose intothe house.
Aries said I'm jumping throughthe fence fucking new alpha dog
was gone and Well, actually, aries left the day, the night
before you were leaving, and hejumped through the fence and
luckily the neighbor and I'mlike, are you fucking kidding me
(25:10):
?
Like they've been great allweek.
And now it's like they knowyou're getting ready to leave.
So it's like what can I getaway with?
Like what the heck?
And I mean it just becamechildren.
Like I had toddlers and I wasyelling at them every day and
they were fine, they wereplaying and they were fine.
(25:31):
And then the next thing, youknow, they're fighting over a
damn toy.
And I'm like and then peoplewonder why we do not have
children.
I am yelling at dogs, but theyhad a great time, like Weston,
christina, don't worry like no,they had a great time.
Aries is always welcome anytime.
But it was just so funny becauseI got like a true, like they
(25:52):
were getting along, they wouldcuddle, they would do this, and
then the next minute they werefighting with each other.
And I'm like what is wrong withall of you?
And I think Aries kind of gotto a point where he was like
okay, I think mom and dad haveleft me here, so I'm gonna start
staking claim.
And that's when I was like okay, let's reel it in Cause.
Like then he was like I'm gonnatake cause.
At first he just kind of stuck.
(26:13):
He has like a toy here that helikes and he pretty much played
with that the whole time andthen I think he kind of got in
his head like I think they leftme here and he started taking
all the toys.
And I was like okay, we can't dothat bro.
I had to, like, have a talkingto him.
I'd have a talking to Thor.
I'd have had talking to Simba.
I'd have a talking with the cat, like I had to have a talking-.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
The cat was not about
it.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
She's never about it.
She was okay for a couple ofdays and then she was like what
the fuck is happening?
And then at night it waspeaceful, Everyone slept, but
then it was that the moment therooster rises.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
The rooster rises.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Is that the moment
the rooster crows, the sun rises
?
The rooster crows, yeah that.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
That moment, the
rooster rises and the sun crows.
Jesus.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
I mean, they were at
it, it was a great time, but it
was just like, oh, people werelike why don't you have kids?
I go, I have kids, I have dogs.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
They're covered in
hair.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
And yeah, they are
just covered in hair.
But it was so funny.
And then.
It was so funny because thenwhen you got back they were all
excited that you were home.
But by then Aries had alreadygone home, so but he was so
excited when they got here hewas like, oh my God, they're
back.
Why are you leaving me again?
He didn't howl once andChristina has always told me
(27:33):
that every time she leaves thehouse he goes frantic.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
He never did that
once, because he had friends and
people.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Well, I'm telling you
, no, it was so funny.
So we went across the street toMelissa's to go over there for
a little bit the moment she left.
Oh, I've never heard a noisecome out of that dog before.
A dog like that, like at all.
The noise that came out of himyou would have thought you were
torturing a child.
Like I was like, is that him?
(28:04):
She goes yep all the time.
And I was like, oh, he hasn'tdone that once since you guys
have been gone, like it washilarious, but not at the same
time.
But then he stopped, so anyhow, but so it was a it's been.
It was an interesting week lastweek.
It was a great weekend for you.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
It was a great
weekend for me.
I had a really good weekend.
I can't wait to go back.
I had so much fun down there.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, I would love to
go with you next time.
But yeah, I did well withoutyou for four days.
You did Fine.
So good.
I've been doing better, so thatwas another little.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Little win for you.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Little win for me.
I only felt a little off on set, but I think it's because I got
too much sun and didn't drinkenough water.
So Probably.
Because I was.
I drank more water Sunday and Iwas still in the, but I was
kind of hoping we would have amore better storm last night
than we did.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
It was kind of
anti-climactic, at least in our
little bubble.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
I know I'm so sad I
saw.
Did you see the video I sentyou over in Westminster?
No, oh my gosh, they have.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
In Westminster,
that's in like England.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
No, no, what, what?
Speaker 2 (29:10):
is it yeah,
Westminster Abbey's in England?
Speaker 1 (29:12):
No, not, no, you're
stupid.
You're such a butt.
Oh, my God, you know what?
I'm just gonna go make youdinner.
I need to go make dinneranyways.
Where's you gonna end on thatnote?
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I mean, I don't have
to cook dinner.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Do you want to cook
dinner?
No, I think I was like when'sthe last time you cooked dinner
beside steaks?
Speaker 2 (29:38):
I did.
What'd I do the other day?
The other day, no, I did thesteaks, you did the steaks.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yeah, I was last week
.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
I'm gonna get paid
till Thursday.
I gotta figure out my life outthere, figure out things out
Anyhow.
But yeah, I think we're comingup on 30 minutes.
I think it's good.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
It's a good one for
me.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Anything else you'd
like to add?
I'm really exhausted.
I went on a three mile walkearlier.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Work was crazy today.
Yeah, work is, I think, everything going on in the world
.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
so, yeah, work was
crazy for me too, but way more
crazy for you.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Oh my goodness, it's
about to get nuts.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Hmm.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Well, I'm praying for
you.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
I pray for the world
every day.
Now the world will all scoffs.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
No, I don't think so.
I'm hopeful.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
We need another like
real good war.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
You say that, but I
don't want to.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
When's the last time
we had a real good one, I mean
we've been in one for like thelast 10 years.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
That wasn't a good
one.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
That was politicians
fighting.
Oh well, I'd rather not be inwar, not to take away from the
service members who had to gofight.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
I just want to live a
happy, fulfilled life.
A happy, fulfilled, peacefullife.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
I think I need to
clarify that one.
Like anyone who was in the 20year war we just got out of in
the worst way possible, myargument is not against you.
You got orders, you went andfight and did what you were told
, much like I did.
My problem with you.
You guys fought the good fight.
You, men and women, fought thegood fight.
(31:09):
I think it was lining thepockets of politicians and it's
bullshit.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
I agree.
I think we need another worldwar.
Or like a civil war.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Not a civil war.
That's coming.
That's coming too.
As much division as there is inthe country and all the
bullshit how they're weaponizingthe legal system.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Okay, actually I have
a question what is up with this
whole alien thing?
Speaker 2 (31:30):
The government just
told us that aliens exist.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Oh, they did.
I'll have a minke.
I just saw like.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
See, this is why you
need to like.
See, it's all over the place.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Everyone's like.
I haven't like deep dived intoit because I'm like.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
The government
existed, admitted to like.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
But everyone's
already known this, so like what
?
They tried to cover it up.
Yeah, well, shouldn't they knowthat the world we live in today
, you can't cover shit up.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
I mean fair.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
I mean, so what Like
are we gonna start going to
other galaxies now, otherplanets?
Where are they coming from?
Do they talk to them?
What's the 411?
What's the?
Speaker 2 (32:10):
I admit nothing, deny
everything.
I will make counter accusations.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I know that's right.
Alright well, we'll end it onthat.
Nothing To be continued on thealien front maybe.
I don't know, I'll forget aboutit next week.
I forget like.
I'm always asking like, did wetalk about this already?
But I feel like it's a lot ofwork if I go back and listen to
previous episodes, but I try tolike make notes.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
I'm working on it.
We'll work in progress.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
That's okay, until
the next time.
Be safe, or be deadly, I'll sayour unit, Be good or be good at
it, and ask yourself did youAmerica today?
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Bye.
