Joshua Bankston is a partner at MACE Virtual Labs, a Houston-based provider of turnkey enterprise virtual reality solutions. As an evangelist and community leader in the XR industry, Josh empowers business leaders and innovators to use groundbreaking XR hardware and immersive experiences to explore bold new applications in training, education, medicine and beyond. While volunteering in southern California, he launched his first tech business, before returning to Texas to provide consulting for XR-related businesses. As a partner of MACE, Josh has designed VR labs and turnkey solutions for a variety of industries, including education, enterprise, entertainment, and government. Josh has also been involved in the VR track at SXSW since 2016, from putting together presentations for the Dept. of Defense, to working with organizers to create more engaging interactive exhibits, and as the organizer of the official XR Dev Meetup. Recently, Josh has joined the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of XR, XRA, and supports the XR Women organization.
