Carlos Mendoza was fired. It made sense, maybe came too late, still sad for him as a guy but understanding this has felt obvious for months now. We react to it all including his faults at the helm, Andy Green's credentials as the interim manager, and the somewhat bizarre media reaction to Mendoza's ousting. This season is just nonstop chaos, huh. 🌶️

Mets are embarrassingly bad and to make it worse they had 6 errors in their 2nd loss of the day to the Chicago Cubs where they gave up 10 runs in each game. Mets have also traded David Peterson to the Cubs for a prospect Cole Mathis. This team is truly terrible.

Wow. Those were two of the worst baseball games ever. Team keeps stumbling, Freddy Peralta had the worst start of his career, and David Peterson keeps digging a deeper hole. We won a series! We've won 7 out of 10 games. Not going to get too ahead of ourselves, but it's nice to see this team playing actual good baseball. The Mets lost another series. They a golden opportunity to steal a game on Monday, but the lineup was nonexistent once again and we could only grab one out of three in Seattle. Wow, Monday night was fun. A back-and-forth 12-inning game that we blew up open with a 10 run 12th inning to stay hot with so many huge performances throughout. Feeling much better about Brett Baty, Bo Bichette, Carson Benge, and the rest of the squad.
