Speaker 1 (00:10):
Yo, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Everybody? Welcome to another episode of My Canicass. I'm candidive, no,
I'm groovy. In today's episode, we got jam packed for you.
We have more new house bills, not the previous ones
that came up, which is.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Crazy because I swear like two months ago I was
saying like there's nothing going on in Michigan legislation. Now
it's like every bill is getting amended or changed or
screwed or something every day.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Literally, I feel like we didn't have any news, and
then it's just been like six is.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
What I have written down? Yeah, I'm missing, and just
let me know. I know. I was reading these numbers
off in days like, oh, it's this number. I'm like,
well was it this number? I'm like, I can't keep
these numbers together because there's so many happening at once.
So we'll get into that little little rough start, but
it's gonna get better as the show goes on. More positive. Yes,
we got a nice.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Dino don review, which we're going to get into. And
then we got some podcast news uh, some history uh
for us within the podcast, which is really cool, exciting moment.
This is episode two ninety nine, So if you can
guess what's next. We're going to go into that tell
you what we're doing for you and everybody else.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
So let's get his the worst hands. He pretty much
tells you without saying the word. I'm like, dude, this
isn't charades.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
But you don't know what we're doing for it. Yeah, yeah, no,
but you don't know what we're doing for it, So
you gotta stay tuned and listen.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
It did. We decided to have some with it.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
But no, anyways, let's get in these hospitals because because
we're not smoking first, usually we jump into reviews, but
we want to get into the hospital.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
We'll start. We'll dial it back a little bit and
start where this all began. So a couple I thought
it was two weeks ago. Dave corrected me prior that
it's actually more like month a month ago, which is
wild September because it was but wild did this all start?
It from the house build that four and nine five one?
So I'm trying to remember all these damn numbers. Four

(02:08):
percent tax and you know, there was a whole protest
in Lancing, shouts the whole community for coming out. It was,
you know, in the roughest time, it was a beautiful moment,
you know what I mean, because people were coming together.
It was a shitty time, which did that. It did
end up passing with with some technical I don't want
to say errors, but technical bs that now has caused

(02:30):
a lawsuit. So now, because because it was chosen by
the people, were supposed to see a three quarters vote,
some people are saying, well, no, because of this, it's not.
But the lawsuit still states that it should be three quarters,
even though the vote was nineteen to seventeen to one
out withstanding whatever the right word is.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
So yeah, and that lawsuit was filed the day the
governor signed it into bills. So shout to the MSCA
for starting the lawsuit right away, and then continued, it's just.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Been a domino effect since this, So since that, like
three weeks ago, a month ago, So I forget where
I'm exactly at now. Now we've had five other ones
come up, three right in a row. And one is
that five nine six three, which we talked about a
little bit on either last episode of Live I can remember, Yeah,
I can't remember, because we talked that's about moratoriums and
restricting the licensing in Michigan, which I won't. We're not

(03:17):
gonna go down that whole rabbit hole. But if you
watch the episode, we kind of gave our thoughts that
we see both sides. Although we don't like the idea
of auditorium, feeling the pain of our partners and other
friends and family and just seeing them get screwed over
our little things. And it's just like other people in
this industry seeing people get fired. It's like we kind
of get it too, because this oversaturation has kind of

(03:38):
caused the pendulum to swing to a negative.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Side too, So it's, yeah, it's unfortunate.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Anyways, that's that bill. But since then, Dave and I
have found more. So, Dave, why don't you read that
screenshot you saw with the House bills kind of down
because I know I'm gonna mix them up again.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Like, yeah, so these are I haven't dove into all these,
but these are the summary of each one. So let
me get into a House Bill five one four opens
the possibility for sanctions on marijuana businesses that no longer
hold a license.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Let's let's slow this down, just like talk about them
each as we go, because otherwise I'm gonna be all
over the place. So that one's basically saying if the
license it expires, they just can't get it. Is that
how you're understanding it? Sort of?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I'm not fully sure. I'm assuming it has to probably
do with the sale of a license if they're not
using it.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
That makes sense that licenses do get passed all the time, correct, correct,
you have you have friends, family behind it or holding
on to them. Yeah, yeah, so maybe it's maybe there's
some restriction that makes sense. Now see, Okay, So now
it's the other one.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
House Spill five one oh five establishes felony penalties for
marijuana possession, which is something I'm not a fan of.
I don't know. I don't know the limit, so there
is Okay, So I have a chart on the right.
I don't know which House bill this goes to because
because let me go into this real quick, House Bill
five oh seven established establishes penalties for violation of personal

(04:56):
marijuana possession limits. So they're gonna do felony in the one,
and then the other one's personal because in the state
of Michigan twenty one and up, we're all allowed possession, correct,
So I think this this chart I'm about to go
through would go for possession limits is from my understanding.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yeah, that kind of makes sense. It kind of sounds
like what they're attacking.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Yeah, so for like, for instance, twenty two to fifty
five pounds or fifty to ninety nine plants or two
to five pounds of concentrates looks like one year in
prison or a twenty thousand dollars fine, which is interesting
because you hit it at fifty plants. If I'm not mistaken,
I believe the federal limit, like when they do their

(05:37):
charges and they break it down, I believe if you
hit over fifty, that's when the feds hit as well too,
if I'm not mistaken, because I think it was like
fifty four plants. I used to have a buddy that
said he would never go over a certain plant even
though we had medical here, because that was federal. It's like,
I'll stick to steak limits, but I'm not going to
that federal limit. So I could be wrong, could be wrong.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
No, but I mean there's probably something to that that
they're trying to align with that with the credit charges
being like, well, if that's how they're doing it, So
I don't really necessarily love that, you know, like because
it's like I thought that's what we were trying to
get farther away from, not more restriction. I really don't
now I see. What they're trying to do is get
rid of people from wanting to basically trap, you know
what I mean, that's what they're trying to do, because

(06:15):
they're basically saying, if you don't have a license, we're
gonna come after you. Still, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I don't even know if this is a license. This
is just more or less like if your possession at home,
because we have twelve plants, we can go now.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
But that's what I'm stating. If you had a license,
none of this would matter. I'm stating this is going
after the people who are trying to go against the metric.
That's what it's essentially doing. That's I believe I'm calling
it trapping, but like correct medicals, like in that gray
area where people might consider trapping, but it's not because
it's specifically for a specific reason. I'm specifically only talking
about people who sell for profit and don't have patience,

(06:46):
Like there is a difference. That is very difference to me.
So no, so it's fascinating to me, it really is that.
So what was one O six. Did you read one
O six?

Speaker 1 (06:55):
No.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
One O six is allows a CIRA to suspend businesses
for certain violations, including possession of untagged marijuana and interfering
with investigations. I don't know, stuff that doesn't like interesting.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
So basically they're basically saying if a company interviews with
our investigation, like basically fucks with the CIRA, doesn't have
the right stuff, they can basically shut you down temporary.
So I don't necessarily love that either, because if you
get a cranking employee that doesn't like a certain person
like you could just shut them down. I don't know.
I mean, I like, I get what they're doing, and
I well, I get the idea because it's like food control.
I guess, I guess I want to see the car
facts before you're just shut people down. I don't think

(07:31):
it's fair to just be like shutting people down if.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
You have untagged stuff or you bring an impact or product.
I think that's where it has to go with like
stuff that's not taged. Everything in the state of just
can see the sale.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Right, So no, I know, I understand what it's stating.
I'm staying, But the power that's given to them, they
can use in ways they want. Like they could just
be like, oh that was miss marked. Sorry, we're shutting
you down. I just I guess I would like to
see that a little more detailed. Correct, That's all I'm saying.
I hear what you're I guess I hear, and I
see what the point is. That makes hundred sense because
we I don't like that door disty. I agree with

(08:01):
that tenfold. But like if something's mislabeled, you can shut
it down like mistagged, Like what if that's.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Just untagged no untagged marijuana.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
So basically if you just have backdoor products, Okay, I
thought it was.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Just not tagging your stuff so you can try to
get it through, you know, I don't know, but like untagged.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
See, I I get what they're going after. But just
because you mistagged us, I guess I could be an
innocent mistake. That's my only brain was like, well, what
if it's not. I don't know, what if it's just
honestly they forgot to tag something.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I mean the whole the whole state, I mean the
Michigan things basic to sail. I mean, if you're not
tagging your plants, I mean at that point.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Basically, you're just trying to hide the money from the government,
is what they're.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Because what do you not why you're not tagging it?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Because I don't know. I just think of like one
dumb employee who messed up, and.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Like, okay, I think there'd be lacks of days to
call on one dumb employee that.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yeah, well that's what I'm trying to That's why I
said more multiple violate.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I mean, right, we're only seeing snippets of these things.
I haven't dived into each one. These just hit like
within the day, and you're probably right, that's probably what
I do. Want to jump into this real quick. So,
the federal penalties for cultivation fewer than fifty plants up
to five years in prison and a fine of up
to two hundred and fifty thousand for a first defense.
So that's fewer than fifty plants. But if you're fifty

(09:15):
to ninety nine plants, it's up to twenty years in prison.
So it's a fifteen year difference between fifty fifty one plants,
which is scary honestly, because like that's nothing no one
wants to do so for personal use. Again, going up
the mid tier would be fifty five to two hundred
and seventy three pounds or one hundred to four hundred

(09:36):
ninety nine plants, which would be two years in prison
and up to five hundred thousand dollars fine, which is
insane because then if you go to five hundred and
ninety nine plants or you're two hundred and seventy six
to five hundred and fifty pounds, it's almost a two
million dollars fine or four years.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
That's crazy. And honestly, see, these ones are all like,
these are all gray area ones. I don't like some
of these things that are being man. I like that
the O six one, I guess because that makes sense
the way you point that makes one hundred and ten percent,
since the five and seven one seem tricky because I
don't really like that because like I don't know, I
don't necessarily love more like restrictions on people you're going.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I mean I get the sale, I get the seven.
I mean that they don't want I mean they don't
want people growing five hundred plants in their basement. Yeah,
I mean that that right there hurts the caregivers. That
makes the caregivers look bad.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
If you have.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Personal people doing it. That takes away from the whole
caregiver program at that point, you know what I'm saying,
because it's like you're not just going after caregivers because
carrigers have the seventy two and you have caregivers that
still even do over. So go over that limit. So
it's interesting. I mean, I'm not shocked. Twenty two to
fifty five pounds. That's a lot of product anyway to
be holding at one's house, you know, And or two

(10:45):
to five pounds I concentrates, that's a lot of product.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
But on a positive note, for five nine sixty three,
we haven't really talked about it seems more like it
could be positive because like just this snippet I was
reading with marijuana license is required to pay from marijuana
at the time of sale, which in sections three, eight, eleven,
and fourteen of the twenty eight blah blah. So I
think what they're basically that's trying to say is like
get ridding that not be able to pay on sixty
So okay, So some of these are good. Some of

(11:09):
these are gray area, I guess, is what I'm gonna say. Like,
nothing's exactly clear cut exactly. I just I guess what
I was saying was more to what was at four
h four or five. I honestly forget which one, which
one's which right now? Five I think was the one
that was.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Like five felony penalties for marijuana possession, and then seven
personal one seven five one oh seven.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I thought you said that was the one with one hundreds,
five hundred plants.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
It's all within there.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Oh okay, So when you said personal, I took that
as like low amounts. I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I'm assuming this chart next to it is for personal
that I'm reading, because like why maybe it's for the poonties.
I couldn't tell you, all right, I'm just looking at.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
The Actually, I mean, I guess I see that most
of them kind of besides the tax kind of something.
All mean, well, like you know.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Yeah, the worst one, but that's like spawned all this,
which is crazy.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Right, And that's what I was trying to say, is
my I guess why I want to discuss them in
death with you is just honestly be like trying to
make sense of them all because I was worried they're
worrying something to screw us over again. I mean, I mean,
why even when you were saying, like when we were like,
you know, you made that good point about five one
oh seven, I was like, yeah, is it like I'm
just untrusting at this moment because it's like you're bringing
in five bills out of nowhere after the one that

(12:24):
would just kind of mess up the whole market. So
it's like, I guess what I'm seeing is more restrictions.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
It's like, great, the restrictions are there because you're probably
doing this because if you have you put growing like
five hundred plants and they're not metric, that's effecting the
whole metric because then you're having.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Because you should be able to take them down anyways,
if they're growing that many plants, you shouldn't be but
you should see electrical grid or not.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
But then at that point you're having fats back in.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
That's what I'm saying, Why would you But the FEDS can't.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Technically come in because I don't think, Oh I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Actually, when you have that many plants, I feel like
the FEDS can do the one.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Well.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
I think that's what I was saying when I said
I closed the page, but like, yeah, anything over fifty
one plants that's why.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
That's what I was trying to say, is I feel
like that seven is almost just like affirming what's already.
I don't know, maybe giving support to the FED. I
don't does it. It's just really crazy that all this
domino effect happened. That's all I want to say. It
is crazy. We're gonna keep eyeing these bills and we're
gonna keep reporting them because things get worry worded, things
get attached to other bills and a minute to other bills. Oh,

(13:20):
that's what it was with the four nine to five
to one. Why they're saying that three quarters it was
didn't apply because it was attached to a budget, even
though technically it was a three quarters vote for the people,
So technically it was a weird gray area where it's like, yeah,
that's still bullshit though, because tending that to a budget
doesn't even make sense. They only did it to get
away with that by law. It's like or that get

(13:42):
that go loophole. Excuse me, by law, that loophole. So anyways,
those are the bills, Those are the those are the
those are That's what's going on in Michigan. Have fucking craziness.
I'm saying, yep, it is nuts. But yeah, and before
we get in the news articles, I know Dave wanted
to switch over here and smoke this, don'na. So that way,

(14:04):
then we're talking about the news articles. It's fun. We
can goof around and talk about all the fun stuff
at the end and the badass event that's taking place
tomorrow and yeah, so yeah, let's let's talk about this review, Bud.
What you got over there?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
All right? So we're about to be smoking on apex
mixed with CGA of America and herb Wealth And it's
under the Z Dino doing so it's point five gram
yellow tail rosin and two grams of yellow mermaid flower?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Was this?

Speaker 3 (14:35):
I can't stop saying under the Z? I'm so sorry
now that I'm thinking, and it says, yeah, half tail
yellow rosin, half tail yellow mermaid flower? Right, and when
herb Wealth we got this from? Where would you get
this from?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yeah, RB, Well I think it's actually their flower. If
I remember, weren't they saying something like they helped this
one this product or something.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
I believe so, But now that I'm looking at this,
I might have grabbed.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
It wrong on Oh well, the way shout out to
show real quick was the was this? I remember it
was one of them. I remember we well, we got
the North Coast collab too. Last time.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I went by myself and picked them up. Remember, and
then I know, I'm pretty sure this is it. I
am pretty sure this is it.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
But either way, we got it from Gas. They always
do us, right, because that's where we usually get our donuts.
Like either way, shout out and honestly shout out to
Apex and uh and uh, what are the TGA Because
like I've had something a collab between them and then
same thing the Herb Wealth. That's why I swear we've
had under the Z but I don't remember if that's
their product. I can't remember Herb Wealth. I think it
was Herb Wealth. I don't know. Hey, guys, we're listening,

(15:33):
or anyone from Gas, but tender anyone that knows Herb
Wealth reach out.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Also. It's kind of funny too, because like you kept
saying under the sea, and I think you're right. It might.
I think this is the one I wanted, So you
never know, Yeah, because I.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Did that last time. That's what I'm saying. I know
we smoked this before. I just think you also got
the North Coast one because they were both collabs with them,
and that was what day was like, I'm getting both,
so I want to both. You want to try because
it's what we like when we see vertically integrated dispensaries
and so like it was nice to be like, oh, hey,
you were going that ain't cool and this is local
to Dave, so you.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Know, yeah, I figure I actually signed up for the rewards.
I get points back out, so seriously.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
You have the stuff pulled up. So the big thing
I want to say about this, I really I like
the art. I always love the art on these dinal Thames.
I love it. I love it. I love it. But
when you only give me thirty one point one foc
and point zero nine CBD, I'm like, man, I just
want the terps now. Am I really glad they gave
you the exact Rozin and flower Hell? Yeah, So that's

(16:29):
why it's definitely a little above your normal average market
areer packaging because it gives you more details. And I'm
a big fan of the art, so you know what
I mean. To me, it's like an eight. But I
do I do think it's missing some details because I
do wish I had terps.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
I give it seven point seven.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Even the amount of turps something like that.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah, I agree with you. Man, give me someone on
the turt profile not just thhd percent, you know, And
that's what everybody. We say that for all the time.
And I love the apex of product. So out to
the team we had them on. Parker and Alex shout.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Out, yeah in this that was checking the QR.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
But it looks like it's And if you're going to
the metric mash on some Thursday, they will be there.
I think they're doing the tomorrow. They're doing the dat
bar as well or don bar.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Yeah, honestly we've liked most of the Dank Dank doink,
so this is just.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, and again this is two grams of flour, a
half gram of rozin jumped into packaging. We're gonna hit
the taste, were going to ash. We talked about the
middle of the joint, how does it finish, Then we
go into high in effect we jump in a price
and then would we recommend and repurchase this so you
would all would try it?

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
So yeah, let me let's start hearing this.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah, I'm gonna try to cut out as much like
Ken the Middle too, So it's not just because donuts
can sometimes take a while. So don't think this is
about to be a thirty minute review.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
It might be.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Any think as you did. What'd you say for packaging anyways?

Speaker 2 (17:53):
The same seven point seven? Yeah, so the same. Yeah,
give a little bit of a nuts to that.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
You know.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
That's just how Dave is well extra times like that
when I'm not yeah, no, father, my friend.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
It depends on what day it is. Who's extra? Is
it Canada with weed?

Speaker 3 (18:16):
It's just you with weed?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Oh wow?

Speaker 3 (18:17):
Z turps on that first hit too.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, it's the flower. So that's what I was like,
smack my lips a little bit. I wanted to try
it because, like like you said, groopy, they've vertically integrated.
Every time I'm in there, he's always like trying to
try our flowers.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
All right. I feel like he's like, it's good, I promise.
I'm like, no, it's interesting. Yeah, I'm seeing yellow tail
number four is lemon tree crossed with blue zushy lemon tree.
In the brushing, I do get a little citrus vibe,
but I'm getting z turps in there, and I don't
know if that's because I'm just like imagining it, but

(18:54):
I'm like tasting it.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
It definitely definitely has a little bit of Z to it.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Man.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
I will say, when you're smoking doughnuts.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
I wonder if sushi has it in there, something has
something has to be in there, because I feel like
I'm just smoking.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I mean it's dripping right off the flower.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Good taste, man, you see that. Yeah, I'm looking at
blue sushy is Ziddles and Cushmans. Oh, so there you
see from that, I can get that right off the
blue sushy, Yeah, crossed with Cushmans. No, that's no, blue
sushy is Ziddles crossed with Cushmans. Blue Sushy crossed with

(19:33):
m lemon tree is yellowtail number four.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Blue sushy crossed with lemon trees yellow tale number four.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Well this is really good flower.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Lemon. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
No, it tastes good, man, I mean it's yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
I don't just say that. I don't say that that
easily though, because a lot of times like that, because
like to have terps on flour that's strong, that's good.
Sit man, you really should have your turpenes listed because
I guarant it's like pretty good.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
I would guess like three three three.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
I'm not trying to be like, oh, I'm surprised, but
you never know when you're dealing with new flower companies, so.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Well, everyone says their products fire, you know what I'm saying.
For flower, Everyone's like, ah, my fire's flowers. So it's
like we've tried to Yeah, we've tried so much flour
in the past. It is impressive about the first couple
of hits man with no rosin hitting, because you know,
there's no donut at the beginning. Obviously, you always put
in the middle, and when you do smoke.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Just start to feel it. It's like once the pole
starts to take a little extra, I fel like it's different.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
And once the rosin hits, just so you know, if
you haven't smoked the doughnut before, always let it sit
for a minute, like you gotta let it sit.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Yeah, it hit that a little too hard up the
second rip, you gotta like hit it, let it cool off.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Shout out to my dope life and telling white Lights,
the black Cats, the homemies that showed me that trick
man that is delicious. And when you get that z
turp that's mixed in with yellowtail. Yeah, Oh yeah, right,
so wait to second, hold on, yellowtail is blue jushy
lemon tree, that's the rosin, So what's yellow Mermaid? Hold on?

(21:06):
I miss this all up, So Lemon Mermaid, there's actually
a flower. We want the string.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
It's gotta have fuckiddles in it. You just taste it
like it, or it's some type of like Satrix satrius.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
I'm doing the research, so y'all can so I guess
we're not editing some stuff out. We're just doing research
about strains.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
You're just gonna hear the whole review because that's the
best part because.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
We get lit and I'm gonna talk about the Okay, okay,
Yellow Mermaid is yellow sush sushi cross with babysta and
yellow sushi is ziddles crossed with Cushman's. Wait, I thought
that's what yellow tail is, all right, this one. You
can't believe the internet here. I'm trying to figure that
all I'm here from. I wonder if I wonder if

(21:57):
they're close, Like, I wonder if that's what it is.
Oh yeah, yellow sushy cross with baby stuff. So there's
two different types of zushi in this. There's blue sushy
in the racks. And there's yellow sushi, and that's why
it's under the Z because there's Z turps in both
of these like foundations, interesting because neither well because neither

(22:18):
of them have the Z. Neither of him saying and
the yellowtail and yellow mermaid, how would you guess yellow
means Z? You don't yellow? Get this guy?

Speaker 2 (22:30):
No, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Honestly, like taste wines, this is probably one of the
betterest strains I've had in a while. I'm actually pretty
impressed on this. Like, you guys got this yellow tail
rosin and you're listening, bring some to man, I'll find it.
I just need to try some.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
But or we're just gonna come to your boom. But
you got that yellow.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
I'm gonna run. It's face fantastic. I really like it.
I'm and it's really weird because like when I first
tried Ziddle's, I didn't like it because it was so
head high. But when I started tasting all these Z crosses,
That's when I'm like, all right, I get it.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah you did. That's honestly got truth. So what would
you give it for taste?

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Right, dude? Nine nine a half. I don't really have
any issues yeah, yeah, fifteen, fourteen, I'll you have fourteen.
I really don't have an issue. I like a little
more gassy stuff, but I've been on the Z kick,
so right now it's almost like it's like perfect smoke
right now.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Honestly, I think I'm done there with you and I
don't ever really taste that high. So it's very tasty,
it's very flavorful.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Burning good rolls good. Yeah man, Yeah, even has me
like it's because when the flavor stays with you, the
whole smoke slash, even when you're not hitting it, that's
when you got some good turps.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Yeah, that's how my mouth was as bad as you
were hitting.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
It's like, I'm just being honest describing what I'm feeling, man,
And yeah, man, this is I mean wow, So what's
the next category?

Speaker 2 (23:59):
We jump in?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Ash?

Speaker 3 (24:00):
In middle Ash is phenomenal like it was. It was
dripping off the beginning. What was that ten thirteen? We
are doing a twenty twenty six refresh, by the way,
Yes we are, because we kind of fell out of
reviews because this year has been challenging for us personally.
But we're back or better than ever.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Oh that's true, man. We'll get, we'll get we'll get
real with you all before the end of the year.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Post therapy, guys. I'm just scaring, but no, no, for
real though.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
For real though, Ash, I'm like thirteen and a half,
I got nothing.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Yeah, man, I'm with you thirteen man, you're wrong, Flowers.
It did sydeburn for half a second, but it fixed itself.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
So it's like that you could blame Groovy on that
if we wanted to get.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Could because I did double it.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
I'll so like, I can't even say the sideburd.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
It's why I'm saying. I said, I'm just being honest
with what I'm experiencing. I'm not I'm just not going
to miss anything. I'm not gonna say something's faultless if
it's you know not so it's it's it's pretty good man.
I don't. And again, because of my turp preference. Right now,
it's been it's on point, man, smoking like what eight

(25:12):
ten minutes already, We're only halfway.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
It's dude, that's the one thing.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
And here's when we get in the middle. We might
have to cut some of this because this is going
to take a while.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
That's fine, or we just wrap it up and we
continue to talk because like this is going to pass.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Right, That's why this guy has he's candidate, and I'm
just groovy.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
I mean, there's no point to cut it, you know,
cut it because I can tell you I'm enjoying the
high already too.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Oh it's very it's very silly, like goofy, Like I
feel very silly and I feel light hearted, and I like,
I'll be honest, like I just got out a therapy,
so I go. When we started this, I was like, dude,
I had therapy today too, therapy therapy that was good.
It's yes, but no, no. But what I'm saying is like,
even after like being kind of in my head I
smoke this shit, I'm like outsideready, just chilling, a little lighthearted. Now,

(26:04):
I don't think I'm like so high. Like in my head,
I think I got a little body buzz too, but
I would say it's mostly cerebral. Does that make sense?

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Like heavier, I'd be like, I'm like a seventy thirty
because like I got the body buzz and the legs.
But right now I'm feeling a little goofy in the
head and I'm liking it because like you.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Look a little goofy in the face.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
I do. I know, I know, I know, I know
I look like a No, I'm kidding. I've been trying
to work on talking better to buy myself so I
look good.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
I look good.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
I feel like I look good. Yeah, I'm working on therapy.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Man like I'm trying love love my Look at this,
we're eighty d We're not even reviewing love myself. How
much fun this is? This bud And it's good.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Because sometimes you need it. And that's what I'm saying.
High in effect, I'm like, right, thirteen and a.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Half fourteen man like them Like when I when I
go to the store to buy something, That's how I
want to feel if in this moment with my boy,
this is what I want.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
To when I'm at home, I want to be stuck sometimes.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Well, right, that's a good point. Right, if I'm like
by myself, I want that, guys. Shit, But this is
like a fun joint to be smoking with your homie.
That's a good point because it's fun because it brings
that because it kind of gets you out of your head.
This would be like perfect for a show.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yeah, I haven't smoked all day, I've rippened when I've
ripped my bait pen like twice, yeah, and hit and
hit and hit a roach or two, like one or
two puffs before no I got home.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
I damp, so I.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Hear you, but yeah no, but it's that's what I'm saying.
It's good.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
So I honestly, dude, you're right. I mean, let's what's
the next category? Recommend repurchase yet the price? So prices first,
then recommend. Okay, let's start with the price, because that
this might be the only category, because sometimes the apex
ones are I'm just asking what tex was.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Forty six bucks?

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Do oh really?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Yeah? And you're gonna hand those forty bucks? Yeah, forty hours.
We don't ever tell you text. Okay, so it's forty
bucks plus text. So that's actually not horrible. Two a half.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Now, I have seen stuff for thirty thirty five, but
usually it's the hey it's one point five, you know,
or like whatever, it's all lower. So man, I don't
I'm it's fairly priced. I'm not saying like, wow, it's
such a good deal. You're about three. It's still expensive
for one smoke slash, but it's if you and a
buddy are trying to go to the concert. You and
your buddy are trying to go cruise allegedly or whatever

(28:13):
you're trying to do. I don't know anything about that.
I've done that years, but it's been like I know,
of course, but this is perfect. They're like just sitting
around the couch like watching a good movie. I mean,
it's a nice slow burn. It's gonna already at fifteen,
probably gonna burn like twenty twenty five minutes. Like, yeah,
I got nothing for a personal smoke. Yeah yeah again,

(28:39):
Parker ol because you're listening, bring on, let's go.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah, honestly, so recommend re purchase out of fifteen what
you said?

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yeah yeah, Like I said, the guy almost don't even
want to. I also wanted to stop pause the episode
of Leave right now.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, I mean we haven't even put the end in it,
and it's ready at a beat.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
I mean so yeah, yeah, So it's like could get
a bad GRADYO still like it's already bad. We haven't like,
but let's be really, I mean, it's gonna smoke pretty
solid flavors still. Taping up one might be one of
the higher donuts we smoked, like overall experiences, because then
sometimes even the good flavor ones don't burn right. Granted
we are in a no wind, no wind, you know,

(29:14):
so it's like this is the best environment you can smoke.
We don't even have a fan on.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Nope, actually don't because it's freaking cold.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Even reacting to the smoke, she's she's.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Like, this is some good ships like that cat, you know,
I get that, get dab, I get hot. Hey whoa
She like blows the heart.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
You're like, I gotta go. I'm freaking out like a ship, freaking.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Out like that's lit aither way.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
No, this was good man. Shout out to Apex, shout
out to herb World, and shout out to c G
because obviously I want to shout them all out. I
was pretty fucking solid man. Yeah, this was really good.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Like I said, it passed so nice work, good ship,
Let's continue smoking this this exciting news. I wanted to
jump into groovy because it to me, it's it's it's
like surreal, not surreal, but it's just like unreal. I
guess maybe both. I don't know. But this is episode

(30:09):
two ninety nine, and what I mean by that this
is we we do a lot of content. We do
a waken bake every Saturday. We used to do a
Turp Talk every Tuesday, and we do an episode every Wednesday.
We cut back to Turp Talk and we just do
the Waking Baking podcast. The Wednesday episode podcast. We're dropping.
This is episode two ninety nine that were this we're

(30:30):
in right now, you're there right now, yeah, yeah, thank you.
And next week Wednesday, November fifth, twenty twenty five, at
seven ten, we will be going live for our three
hundredth episode and we're giving away three hundred dollars worth
of stuff worth of stuff.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
I got it. It's just my thing at this point.
I even I even brought you up, just you for
a while because she turned to the Cameron every it
was like it was very out for hitchcocky or whatever,
just very perfect. And I was like, man, you should
have the cat on your lap. Everyone three the lights
dim it. I mean, it's just it's hard to stay
consistent with anything in this life. So when you say
three hundred anything, people are like, yo, good job, Like

(31:16):
it doesn't even matter what it is. I mean, I
guess it could be negative, like you're three hundred is
like okay, I'm not going to bring up a dark example,
but like I almost just did. But it could be bad.
But my point is, when you do three hundred anything,
you're on a you're on a roll. So I feel
grateful that we've had the drive enough to even do this.
We found partners to help us get here, you know,
because without that financial bomb, but when we be able
to get out to these shows and do the things

(31:37):
and report on the.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Stuff perfect, perfect.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
So it's been a long time journey. And then with
the hiccups of the industry and like even house bills. Shit,
it's like we've had to like bounce of these curves.
So and I plus our own depression and personal lives
and like ups and downs, because it's hard to come
on and record every week when you're just like burnt
out from.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Life, you know, Yeah, no, no, absolutely, I mean we're working.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Three hundred anything is like you stayed consistent, even if
your three hundredth day sober, Like, I mean that's huge too,
three hundredth day, going to work, three hundredth day, like anything.
Three hundred is like a it's a pretty solid number,
you know what I mean. Yeah, man, oh, it's like
the best one in bowling I've heard it is.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Man's got it. That's a perfect game, big dog. It's huge,
It's three hundred is it's big because we've we started
we started, no video, started just audio. You've heard the story,
and we're gonna always talk about the story because it
started just as a just to talk about just to
talk about weed and why it was so bad.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Honestly, dude, the real reason was to get you to
talk about camps and grow and for me to just
start editing, podcasting, go out of college and we were
both broke as shit, splitting thing three joints for twenty
you know. No, And then that's what I'm saying. It's
like now that this is like the extra thing, you
know what I mean, Like this is like what we
do outside of our jobs, you know, are we kind
of got our careers more on track, This as well

(32:56):
came on track. You know you're doing Katie, want some cups.
I've done some pretty cool gigs. Now, Like what we're
trying to say is it's just it's been an uphill
battle because just like anything, I'm sure anyone knows when
you try anything. That's why when you see anyone doing
your friends making crafts or making shirts, support them because
that trust me the sh it's not it's not. It's
not just because maybe people see like, oh you get

(33:16):
free weed. Shit, oh you go to these weed events.
Like yeah, man, there's some perks because of the dark sides.
It's not all perks over here. Like I'm exhausted right now,
and it's like we're here, we are recording.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
It's amost you.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Just go right back to normal lives. It's like we're
not normal. But like the the what pays, the you know,
the overbills, because we dream about doing this for our
full lives. But it's been hard to learn how to
make money, to meet the right people, to build the accreditation.
There's so many steps. Like podcasts before us, usually they're
cool first and then they're like, yo, let's start a podcast.
We started a podcast. And then we're like, hey, guys,

(33:50):
like we've never like nobody, no one cool along this.
We've just built all y'all thankfully and be grateful everyone.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, that's why I want to Honestly, we're doing the
give ways and appreciate everyone tuning it into our last
waken bake with the mat from the Metric Mash because
we did a give way and you were all in
there trying to win tickets to his event, and that
was that's huge. It just shows like how big, like
how much.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
But we had like three people streaming. I think there
was like fifty.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
I remember we used to have one.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
I was probably about fifty. But either way, that's crazy
to say that, Like when there was like three and
it was like yo show Dave, Cob and child looks
that's it. It was only two homies in the chat.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
And shout out myself because I like.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
When it was just like the couple homies, right like,
and like that's my point is it's it's you know,
and now we have Summer, you know, And granted, Summer
is very busy and like you know, she's still very
much a part of this podcast. You know, she just
has she lives far away, so we bring her in
as much as human possible, you know, but you know,
as you know, as the co host, she doesn't have
to be on every single one. You know, she can
kind of be where she can be and still slapping.

(34:50):
And that's and like that's part of the growth is
just even Summer. Like when I met Summer, I was like,
I mean, I'll let y'all in on some like on
some real ship here. When I met Summer, I was like,
and I like the way she speaks. I was like,
if we ever had, if we ever, are you know,
fortunate enough to have the female perspective on this cannabis?
I hope it's so. It's like it's just shown the
growth that it's attracted the right people, you know, and

(35:11):
shout out to the homies that we've made along the way.
Granted some you see true colors, which we're seeing all
the time online now you think you know people, but
but also we made some great people along the way.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah, yeah, thanks, Yeah, And I don't know what.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Are good to go live again. It'll be a nice tradition.
Three hundred dollars worth of prizes. It's not gonna be
one three hundred dollars, like multiple winners, multiple winners. Yeah,
throughout the episode. Probably do like that.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
You might even go a little longer than an hour
if if you all are there.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Dave, let this is happening live. Yeah, this is my
whole point is dude, we're just gonna go live. It's
just gonna be until we're like, yo, we're done. We
might eve roll extra donut. It's like, who knows. Man,
we'll figure it out. Man, It's gonna be fun. And
I think what it is is like I kind of
were just like, especially because of all the ups and downs,
it's kind of nicest to go to your roots, smoke,
go do a live and have fun again. Because that's like,
we just wanted to talk about cannabis and from real

(36:00):
perspectives people who use cannabis, not the news people saying hey,
this is why cannabis is doing great this.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Year causes psychosis.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
People who don't know about weed talking about weed. It's
the same problem we're having with these house bills, Like
people making legislation about laws who don't even fucking use it. Sorry,
I've been trying to use better with the FO but
I'm getting frustrated because like even us, like it's just
we have real perspective because like it helped me get
clean off the pills. It helped Dave fucking you know,
become Canaday, Like it's this whole life. Like if you
even know Dave outside of this world, he's still be smoking.

(36:30):
Like people will be like, dude, you need another joint.
He's like, yeah, smoking on one. It's like sure. The
niche community smokes like that. But you know, anyways, Yeah,
this this this podcast has brought a lot to us.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
No, it really has. Man, It's so thanks. It's actually
helped me get out after the raid and stuff. It
helped me talk and be able to be comfortable talking.
I just have some severe PTSD about any time I
saw a cop, anytime I smoked anything.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
There's probably like forty hours of like stop it, let's
three mind, let's start over, like you know, I mean
probably more within the first hundred episodes. It's been a while,
but verse fifty we both grow. I mean, look at
this text stuff. I mean it's we're.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Going to change this up and change the setting shaking
soon too.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
It's always about growth too. We never stay stagnant.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
I want to thank every gas that's came on from
Nikko Tee Pop, Brothers at law Lance, First Smoke of
the Day, Naomi Macintosh.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
All these two like local companies, the partners, the Exquizit
that we just had on like Canoby, yeah from Moscos,
you know, like ship Dave swore by that product and
we just happened to be and they became partner writing
like we've been.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Tommy Detroit, Nutrient company. He's been on multiple times.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Hell man, we've been fortunate to have a lot of guests,
and I think, honestly, the issue is that we don't
have time of the day like we one day when
we're not working our day jobs, we're gonna get to
everyone else too, because I swear we have a million
people we want to record, you know.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
But it's just we're just not there yet.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
We no, no, no, it's talking about there yet. It's
just that there's only so much time and day and
at the end of the day, everyone understands out there,
we all want to do our passions twenty four to seven,
but I gotta like have shelter too, you know. So no,
I mean, we've just kind of figured out how to
do it along the way. Man, we do what we do,
you know. And honestly, this is a part of why
we started to prove in the beginning was like bro

(38:25):
people always the negative connotation on Stoner's was, oh, they're
not stable, they're not this, They're not that. We're like what,
we run a business and we like smoke weed, you know.
So the whole point was also to prove we can
do this too, you know, so and that's why rip
mainstream media because I feel like people out there are
starting to see the drive and realize that it's good
to talk about shit that that isn't just from a

(38:47):
perspective of what they're being paid to say, you know,
just an honest opinion. You can make your own judgments,
because that was that media is supposed to be. And
then what's media was supposed to be. It was just
like here's here's both sides. Make your own judgement. Now
everything's out by left or right, or up or down
or who gives a ship back forwards?

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah? No, I know, man, And you know that's what
I appreciate all you sharing it. I'm good and appreciate
you all you. That was a long review, not review, but.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
It was almost thirty minutes watched it. We didn't.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Yeah, I didn't need the time, so I can't know.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
It's because it was about thirteen minutes I think when
we lit it, and it's about thirty nine right now.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
Impressive.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
That's pretty not bad, y'all.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
That's my type of doughnut.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Man, again, I just want.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
To say, man, that Live, that Live, It's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Next week Live November fifth, seven, ten, Wednesday, again, thank
you all for who have been there from the beginning,
all of our new listeners, everyone around the world that's
tuned in and shared our stuff, commented, liked, disliked whatever.
I appreciate each and every one of you because as

(39:58):
you we wouldn't be able to continue growing, and we
are continuing growing.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
