Bible.
These are awesome passages thatyou'll want to remember.
These are 88 of my personalfavorite passages from the Bible
my top 101 verses.
The total list of verses is notin any particular order, but

(01:26):
the pairings of three for eachepisode loosely tie together by
a theme, but each verse isindependently worth memorizing.
Contact Mighty Moment if you'dlike a copy of my best of the
best list.
In this episode we look atnumbers 52, 53, and 54 on our
list of the top 101 verses.

(01:47):
We will delve into threepowerful verses that illuminate
the path to divine wisdomProverbs 2.6, james 1.5, and
James 4.7.
These scriptures offerinvaluable guidance on seeking,
receiving and applying God'swisdom in our daily lives.

(02:09):
Number 52 on our list isProverbs 2, verse 6, the source
of true wisdom, reading from theNew King James Version For the
Lord gives wisdom.
From his mouth come knowledgeand understanding.
In the Good News Bible we readit is the Lord who gives wisdom.

(02:31):
From him come knowledge andunderstanding.
And from the PassionTranslation we read Wisdom is a
gift from a generous God andevery word he speaks is full of
revelation and becomes afountain of understanding within
you.
The Message Bible says andhere's why God gives out wisdom

(02:56):
free is plain spoken inknowledge and understanding.
And lastly, from the LivingBible, and lastly from the
Living Bible, true wisdom comesfrom the Lord.
It goes beyond information andincludes the ability to make

(03:19):
wise choices with theinformation given.
I'm intrigued with a few keypoints of this verse.
Firstly, that God is the sourceof wisdom, which means there
are false sources of wisdom aswell.
Secondly, it is something thatGod is willing to give us and
that it is granted or gifted tous, not something we earn,

(03:43):
develop or buy.
God is willing to impart thisprecious gift to us.
He wants to help us by givingus ability to discern and make
wise, righteous choices.
And make wise, righteouschoices.
What comes from the Lord, anything from His mouth, is

(04:04):
valuable and true and alwayshelpful.
The Lord not only gives usknowledge, but understanding of
that knowledge.
I can ask ChatGPT a questionabout trigonometry and it will
give me the correct answerknowledge.
But understanding what theanswer means and the exact
manner the answer was derived isa totally different matter.

(04:24):
That is understanding.
You see, we have such a goodGod that he not only wants us to
have the right answer, but alsothat we understand why it's the
right answer and why it's thebest answer.
Why it's the right answer andwhy it's the best answer, and
when to appropriately apply theanswer.

(04:49):
The Hebrew word for wisdom usedhere in this verse is kokmah,
which refers to skill, wisdom orshrewdness.
It encompasses not justintellectual knowledge but
practical application anddiscernment.
The phrase from his mouthemphasizes the divine origin of
wisdom, indicating that truewisdom comes directly from God's
revelation.
Imagine a master craftsmanteaching his apprentice.

(05:12):
The apprentice doesn't justread books about carpentry.
He watches the master work, listens to his instructions and
learns through hands-onexperience.
Similarly, god's wisdom isn'tmerely theoretical knowledge,
but practical insights gainedthrough a close relationship
with him.
Proverbs 2.6 emphasizes thattrue wisdom originates from God.

(05:38):
It's not just intellectualknowledge, but a divine gift
that provides practicalunderstanding and discernment.
By recognizing God as thesource of wisdom and actively
seeking it through His Word andprayer, we can navigate life's
challenges with godly insight.
Life's challenges with godlyinsight.

(05:58):
Number 53 on our list is James1.5, asking for Wisdom with
Confidence.
In the New King James Versionwe read If any of you lacks
wisdom, let him ask of God, whogives to all liberally and
without reproach, and it will begiven to him.

(06:19):
In the New InternationalVersion we read If any of you
lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all,
without finding fault, and itwill be given to you.
In the Good News Bible, but ifany of you lack wisdom, you
should pray to God, who willgive it to you, because God
gives generously and graciouslyto all.
And the Passion translation ifanyone longs to be wise, ask God

(06:45):
for wisdom and he will give it.
He won't see your lack ofwisdom as an opportunity to
scold you over your failures, but he will overwhelm your
failures with his generous grace.
In the Message Bible if youdon't know what you're doing,
pray to the Father.
He loves to help, and you'llget His help and won't be

(07:06):
condescended to when you ask forit.
In the Living Bible, if youwant to know what God wants you
to do, ask Him and he willgladly tell you, for he is
always ready to give a bountifulsupply of wisdom to all who ask
Him and he will not resent it.
In the Amplified Bible, if anyof you lacks wisdom to guide him

(07:28):
through a decision orcircumstance, he is to ask of
our benevolent God who gives toeveryone generously and without
rebuke or blame, and it will begiven to him.
The verse begins with an obviousrhetorical question we all lack
wisdom and need wisdom.
It's like asking a room full ofchildren does anyone like ice

(07:51):
cream?
So, basically, the Bible beginsby saying do you lack wisdom?
Of course.
So here's how to get wisdomJust ask for it.
Not only is this a promise toreceive it from God, but that
God is going to give you wisdomin abundance, not holding back.
God is not going to scold youfor not coming to him earlier,

(08:13):
but rather be happy.
You have asked, and he is afather who loves to help his
children.
He not only will answer, grantour request, give it in
abundance, but also give uswisdom with a smile.
So the biggest question afterreading this verse would be why
exactly are we not asking forwisdom?

(08:34):
Well, there may be a hesitationin receiving wisdom if we are
not going to use the wisdom thatis granted to us.
Will our selfish desires fightthe wisdom of God, or will we
yield to God's insight andinstruction?
Will we yield to God's insightand instruction?
Number 54 on our list is James4, verse 7, resisting the Enemy,

(08:57):
drawing Near to God.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion Therefore submit to God,
resist the devil and he willflee from you.
The New International Versionreads the Good News Bible says

(09:18):
the devil will run away from you.
The Passion Translation reads.
The Message Version reads solet God work his will in you.
Yell aloud no to the devil andwatch him scamper.

(09:41):
The Living Bible says Giveyourselves humbly to God and in
the Amplified Bible so submit tothe authority of God.
Resist the devil, stand firmagainst him and he will flee
from you.
The verse says to submit to God.

(10:01):
The act of submission isbasically saying I'm not going
to fight the devil myself, butallow God to fight my battle for
me.
The devil is not afraid of you.
What causes the devil to run isthe power of the Lord on your
side.
When we submit to God, we yieldto the Lord's power and His
indwelling presence.

(10:22):
We allow Him to shine throughus, we allow Him to stand up for
us.
We allow Him to fight for us.
The devil, once he sees Jesus, knows that he is lost and he
does not want to fight, butinstead he runs away.
So when we are tempted by thedevil or challenges arise or any

(10:45):
other thing the devil may throwat us happens.
Declare to the devil in thename of Jesus, get thee behind
me.
This is what Jesus told thedevil when he was tempted by the
devil.
There is power in the word ofthe Lord and in the name of
Jesus.
There is no need to be afraidof someone running away from you

(11:07):
.
Side with Jesus and watch thedevil run.
The Greek word for submit meansto subordinate oneself or to
obey.
The Greek word for resistimplies to stand against or
oppose.
These words together paint apicture of aligning oneself with
God's authority while activelyopposing evil.

(11:30):
While actively opposing evil, james 4.7 presents a powerful
strategy for spiritual warfareSubmission to God coupled with
resistance to evil.
This verse reminds us that truewisdom involves not only
acquiring knowledge, but alsoapplying it to spiritual battles
, by allying ourselves withGod's will and actively opposing

(11:55):
the enemy's schemes.
In conclusion, as we reflect onthese three powerful verses
Proverbs 2.6, james 1.5, andJames 4.7, we see a
comprehensive picture of divinewisdom from recognizing God as
the source of all true wisdom toconfidently asking for it and
applying it to spiritual warfare.

(12:17):
These scriptures guide us incultivating a life of godly
discernment and understanding.
These passages remind us thatwisdom is not merely an
intellectual pursuit but aspiritual journey that involves
a close relationship with God.
By seeking His wisdom, trustingin His generous provision and

(12:38):
applying it in our daily lives,we can navigate life's
challenges with confidence andgrace.
Let us commit to continuallyseeking God's wisdom, asking for
it boldly and using it to standfirm in our faith.
Friends, in our next episode, god's Sovereign Plan, we will
continue our look at the best ofthe best 88 Bible Scripture

(13:01):
passages by looking at numbers55, 56, 57, and 58.

proverbs 19, 21, and Isaiah 46,verses 9 and 10.
