In this episode we will explorethe profound path of restoration
revealed in Isaiah 51-11, ofrestoration revealed in Isaiah
(01:51):
51 11, ezekiel 36, 26, andRevelation 21 4.
These passages unveil God'scomprehensive restoration plan,
from the joyful return of Hisredeemed people through the
transformation of our innermostbeing, to the ultimate
elimination of all suffering.
Together they show God'srelentless commitment to restore
what was lost, renew what wasdamaged and recreate what was
(02:11):
broken.
We begin with number 62 on ourlist, isaiah 51, verse 11.
The ransomed return with songsof joy, reading from the New
King James Version so theransomed of the Lord shall
return and come to Zion, withsinging Reading from the New
(02:32):
King James Version.
The New International Versionreads those the Lord has rescued
will return.
They will enter Zion withsinging.
Everlasting joy will crowntheir heads, gladness and joy
will overtake them and sorrowand sighing will flee away.
(02:54):
And the Good News Bible thosewhom you have rescued, will
reach Jerusalem with gladness, singing and shouting for joy.
They will be happy forever, forever free from sorrow and
grief.
The Passion Translation readsDo it again.
Those Yahweh has set free willreturn to Zion and come
(03:17):
celebrating with songs of joy.
They will be crowned withnever-ending joy.
Gladness and joy will overwhelmthem.
Despair and depression willdisappear.
And the Message Version readsIn the same way God's ransomed
will come back.
Come back to Zion, cheering, shouting joy, eternal wreathing
(03:38):
their heads, exuberant ecstasiestransporting them, and not a
sign of moans or groans.
And the Clear word reads Like aticker tape parade right down
(04:06):
Main Street celebrating thenewly crowned champions.
We, the saved in Jesus, willcome victoriously home.
This will be the culmination ofour earthly journey.
What a joy-filled and awesomeverse this is to cling to.
Oh, friends, hold on to theLord's hand through the troubles
of this earth.
Remember this world is not ourhome.
(04:28):
We're just passing through Soonand very soon we will be home
with Jesus.
Isaiah 51-11 presents a vividportrait of complete restoration
through divine redemption.
The ransomed return to Zion, their spiritual home, not with
hesitation or fear, but withsinging and everlasting joy,
(04:58):
everlasting joy.
This verse reveals God'sultimate intention for His
people not merely to rescue themfrom trouble, but to restore
them to a state of perpetual joywhere sorrow and sighing have
no place.
The imagery invites us toanticipate our own spiritual
homecoming with confidence andreminds us that true restoration
is always accompanied bygenuine joy.
God's redemption plan movesbeyond mere survival to
(05:23):
triumphant celebration.
Number 63 on our list isEzekiel 36.26, the Promise of a
Divine Heart Transplant.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion of a divine heart
transplant.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion I will give you a new
heart and put a new spiritwithin you.
I will take the heart of stoneout of your flesh and give you a
(05:44):
heart of flesh.
The Good News Bible says I willgive you a new heart and a new
mind.
I will take away your stubbornheart of stone and give you an
obedient heart.
The Passion Translation reads Iwill graciously give you a new,
tender heart and put a newwilling spirit inside you.
(06:05):
I will remove your hard heartof stone and give you an
obedient, responsive heart.
Instead, I will put my HolySpirit in you to empower you to
keep my laws and to live by them.
The Message Version reads I'llgive you a new heart, put a new
spirit in you.
I'll remove the stone heartfrom your body and replace it
(06:28):
with a heart that's God-willed,not self-willed.
And lastly, the Living BibleTranslation reads and I will
give you a new heart.
I will give you new and rightdesires and put a new spirit
within you.
I will take out your stonyhearts of sin and give you new
hearts of love, like David'sprayer in the Bible, psalm
(06:52):
51.10,.
Like David's prayer in theBible, psalm 5110, asking God to
create in him a clean heart andrenew a right spirit within him
.
We need a new heart.
The first human-to-human hearttransplant was performed by
South African surgeon ChristianBernard on December 3, 1967, in
Cape Town.
The recipient was LouisRoschansky, a 53-year-old man
(07:17):
suffering from severe heartdisease, and the donor was
Denise Dorval, a 25-year-oldwoman who had suffered fatal
brain injuries in a car accident.
Roshansky survived 18 daysafter the operation, marking the
procedure as a groundbreakingachievement in medical history.
Dr Bernard's second surgery waseven more successful On January
(07:41):
2, 1968, just a month after hispioneering first operation.
The recipient, dr PhilipBlayberg, survived for nearly 19
months, 593 days after thetransplant, marking a
significant breakthrough in thefield.
What about today?
Well, that was achieved bySusan Barkhart of Mount Vernon,
(08:05):
illinois, who is thelongest-living heart transplant
patient.
She has lived after surgeryover 41 years.
She received her hearttransplant in 1983.
This example of medicaltechnology regarding physical
hearts is amazing.
But how much more amazing is itto receive a new spiritual
(08:27):
heart, a new divine operatingsystem replacing our corrupted
one?
Number 64 on our list isRevelation 21.4, the divine
eradication of all suffering, reading from the New King James
Version and God will wipe awayevery tear from their eyes.
There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
(08:51):
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have
passed away.
In the New InternationalVersion it reads and the Good
(09:13):
News Bible reads has passed away.
And the Good News Bible readshe will wipe away all tears from
their eyes.
There will be no more death, nomore grief or crying or pain.
The old things have disappeared.
The Passion Translation readshe will wipe away every tear
(09:40):
from their eyes and eliminatedeath entirely.
No one will mourn or weep anylonger.
The pain of wounds will nolonger exist, for the old order
has ceased.
And lastly, in the MessageBible we read He'll wipe away
every tear from their eyes.
Death is gone for good.
Tears gone, crying gone, paingone, all the first order of
things gone.
(10:00):
I love the personal dynamic ofthis verse that God Himself is
going to wipe away our tears.
Oh how he must long for that day.
You see His original plan, hisperfect plan for the world and
for us.
His desire for us was for us tolive in peace and harmony and
love.
Sin caused that to get allmessed up.
(10:22):
Oh how he must grieve to seeall the suffering of His
creation here now.
In fact, so motivated was he tochange things that he injected
himself into the world to find asolution.
Jesus Christ came to end thisdivision and disruption and get
us back on God's plan.
(10:43):
As this plays out, soon, andvery soon, jesus is coming back
to put an exclamation point onhis plan of redemption and
restoration.
When God restores all things,it will finally be back to how
God designed no more hospitalsor funerals, medications or
(11:03):
glasses, no more wheelchairs ordementia, no more famines and
disease and nursing homes, nomore homelessness, divisions and
politics, no more violence andbroken homes and shattered lives
, no more arguing and fightingand wars.
All these things will be gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
(11:26):
completely.
So it's back to God's perfectplan.
In conclusion, isaiah 51.11,ezekiel 36.26, and Revelation
21.4 form a magnificent tapestryof divine restoration, moving
from external to internal toeternal.
Isaiah reveals God's power torestore His people physically,
(11:49):
bringing them back from exilewith songs of joy.
Ezekiel takes us deeper, showingGod's commitment to restore us
internally by replacing hardenedhearts with responsive ones.
Finally, revelation completesthe picture with God's ultimate
restoration, the elimination ofall suffering and the
(12:09):
establishment of a new orderwhere tears, death, sorrow and
pain are permanently erased.
These passages revealrestoration as central to God's
redemptive plan, a progressivework that begins with our return
to Him, continues through innertransformation and culminates
(12:30):
in eternal joy.
Together, they remind us thatGod isn't satisfied with partial
fixes, but works towardcomplete restoration on every
level.
As recipients of this divinerestoration project, we're
invited to receive what only Godcan do—ransom us from bondage,
(12:53):
replace our hearts of stone andultimately remove all our
suffering, creating in us andfor us a reflection of His
perfect love and glory.
Friends, in our next episode, god's Unfailing Word we will
continue our look at the best ofthe best 88 Bible Scripture
passages by looking at numbers65, 66, and 67.
