my top 101 verses.
The total list of verses is notin any particular order, but

(01:25):
the pairings of three for eachepisode loosely tie together by
a theme, but each verse isindependently worth memorizing.
Contact Mighty Moment if you'dlike a copy of my best of the
best list.
Life often brings challengesthat test our faith and
resilience.
In such moments, it's essentialto remember that God's Word

(01:46):
provides assurance andencouragement.
In this episode we look atthree verses Nahum 1-7 reminds
us of God's goodness andprotection.
Zephaniah 3-17 reveals Hisdelight and love for us.
And John 16-33 assures us ofHis victory over the world.
Together, these passages offera foundation of hope and peace

(02:11):
in troubled times.
We begin this episode withnumber 71 on our list, nahum 1.7
, god, our stronghold in timesof trouble.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion.
Reading from the NewInternational Version and the

(02:44):
New American Standard Version.
In the Good News Bible it reads.
The Message version reads Godis good, a hiding place in tough

(03:09):
times.
He recognizes and welcomesanyone looking for help.
And lastly, in the Living Bible, the Lord is good.
When trouble comes, he is theplace to go and he knows
everyone who trusts in Him.
I see four key insights intothis verse.
Firstly, it describes God'scharacter as good.

(03:32):
He is dependable and is goingto do what is best for us.
He wants us to prosper and willnever harm us.
His motivation for helping usis that he loves us.
We can depend on Him and Hischaracter.
He is not good most of the time, but all the time.
He is not dependable much ofthe time, but all the time.

(03:56):
God, indeed, is good all thetime.
The second component of theverse is that God is a
stronghold.
He is a place of refuge, aplace of safety that the enemy
cannot penetrate, so secure isGod's protection.
We can sleep in the midst ofthe storm, knowing His walls

(04:19):
will never fall and His armswill maintain their embrace
around us.
Nothing can snatch us away.
We are truly safe.
The third aspect of the verse isthe revelation, implicitly,
that troubles will come.
As a Christian, we are notexempt from the trials of this
sinful world.

(04:40):
Difficult days will come andare coming.
The assurance of the verse isthat when they do come, we have
a safe place to retreat.
They will not overwhelm us.
And the last thing that I'mimpressed with with this verse
is that God knows us.
He does not have to be caughtup to speed on our situation In

(05:04):
order for this protectiveagreement to be enacted.
We simply need to believe andtrust in Him, and he is ready to
assist and help us.
He already knows the situationand what needs to occur and help
us.
He already knows the situationand what needs to occur.

(05:24):
Imagine a mother and childcaught outside in a thunderstorm
.
During the storm, the childfinds solace in the embrace of
her loving mother.
The mom doesn't just shield thechild from the rain, but offers
comfort and assurance.
She wraps her daughter in awarm embrace, shielding them
from the storm.
The child's fear melts away, not because the rain has stopped
, but because they are safe inthe arms of someone who loves

(05:48):
them.
God is that sheltering presencefor us.
Similarly, god envelops us inHis presence, providing not only
protection but also peace inour trials.
Nahum 1.7 reminds us that Godis both good and strong.
A safe place in every storm.
Number 72 on our list isZephaniah 3.17, god's Delight

(06:11):
and Love for Us.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion the Lord, your God, in
your midst, the Mighty One willsave.
He will rejoice over you withgladness.
He will quiet you with His love.
He will rejoice over you withsinging.
The New International Versionreads the Lord, your God, is

(06:34):
with you.
The Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight inyou.

(07:08):
The New American News Biblereads the Passion Translation
reads you and in his love, hewill give you new life.
He will sing and be joyful overyou.
The Passion Translation readsFor the Lord, your God, is with
you.
The Mighty One who saves.
He will rejoice over you withjoy.

(07:29):
He will soothe you with hislove and celebrate with you in
happy songs.
The Message Version reads yourGod is present among you, a
strong warrior there to save you, happy to have you back.
He'll calm you with His loveand delight you with His songs.
The Living Bible reads For theLord, your God, has arrived to

(07:52):
live among you.
He is a mighty Savior.
He will give you victory.
He will rejoice over you withgreat gladness.
He will love you and not accuseyou.
And lastly, in the AmplifiedBible.
The Lord, your God, is in yourmidst, a warrior who saves.
He will rejoice over you withjoy.

(08:13):
He will be quiet in His love, making no mention of your past
sins.
He will rejoice over you withshouts of joy.
God has not gone anywhere.
He is right here among us.
Just because we are limited inwhat we can see does not mean
that the Almighty God is notright here in our midst.

(08:34):
This verse reminds us of who itis that we're dealing with.
It is the Mighty One, theAlmighty God Himself, who will
save.
This statement is a declarationthat God will save and He'll
enjoy doing it.
It's His joy and privilege tohelp us as His children.

(08:55):
We need never worry.
If God is willing or wanting toaccept us back, he does so with
a great big smile and a hugebear hug.
Number 73 in the list is John 16, 33, christ's Peace in a
Troubled World.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion these things I have

(09:16):
spoken to you that in me you mayhave peace In the world.
You will have tribulation, butbe of good cheer, I have
overcome the world.
The New International Versionreads I have told you these
things so that in me you mayhave peace In this world.
You will have trouble, but takeheart.

(09:38):
I have overcome the world.
And the New American StandardVersion reads these things.
I have spoken to you so that inme you may have peace In the
world.
You have tribulation, but takecourage.
I have overcome the world.
The Good News Bible reads Ihave told you this so that you
have peace by being united to me.

(10:00):
The world will make you suffer, but be brave.
I have defeated the world.
The Passion Translation readsand everything I have taught you
is so that the peace which isin me will be in you and will
give you great confidence as yourest in me.
For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and

(10:24):
sorrows, but you must becourageous, for I have conquered
the world.
The Message Version reads Ihave told you all this so that,
trusting me, you will beunshakable and assured, deeply
at peace In this godless world.
You will continue to experiencedifficulties, but take heart.

(10:44):
I've conquered the world.
And lastly, in the AmplifiedBible, I have told you these
things so that in me you mayhave perfect peace In the world.
You have tribulation anddistress and suffering, but be
courageous, be confident, beundaunted, be filled with joy.

(11:06):
I have overcome the world, myconquest is accomplished, my
victory abiding.
This verse is saying that allthese stories and instructions
from the Word of God are meantto give us peace.
How can God's Word bring uspeace, even when we are in

(11:26):
troublesome times?
Because we know how it all endsGod is victorious.
We're going to have trouble inthis life, we're not exempt, but
we do not need to fear or beanxious or be worried, for Jesus
has already secured the victoryover the world.
Done finished, complete, Not upfor debate or questioning.

(11:48):
Done finished, complete, not upfor debate or questioning.
Jesus won.
When we are on Jesus' team, weare more than conquerors and
nothing can overtake, overwhelmor conquer us.

(12:08):
In conclusion, Nahum 1.7,zephaniah 3.17, and John 16.33
together form a powerfulportrayal of hope in troubled
times.
Nahum reminds us that God isour unchanging refuge, zephaniah
reveals His delight and lovingpresence and John assures us of
Christ's victory and the peacethat he gives.
No matter the storm, god isgood, near and mighty to save.

(12:32):
As we face life's uncertainties.
Let us hold fast to thesetruths.
God knows us, loves us and hasalready secured our victory in
Christ.
In every trouble, we areinvited to rest in His goodness,
rejoice in His love and takeheart in His overcoming power.
