the Best list.
In this episode, we look atthree Matthew 19.26, john 14.6,
(01:44):
and Jeremiah 29.11.
Life often brings us tocrossroads where our strength
fails and our vision dims.
In these moments, god's Wordshines brightest, assuring us
that with Him, all things arepossible.
Our path is clear in Christ andour future is filled with hope.
(02:05):
This episode explores thepowerful truth that proclaims
God's sovereignty, christ'scentrality and the hope-filled
plans he has for us.
Through our journey in the Word, we'll see that nothing is too
hard for God.
Christ is the only way and ourfuture is filled with divine
purpose.
Number 74 on our list isMatthew 19.26.
(02:30):
God's power knows no limits.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion.
But Jesus looked at them andsaid to them With men this is
impossible, but with God allthings are possible.
The New American StandardVersion reads and looking at
them, jesus said to them.
(02:50):
The Good News Bible reads Jesuslooked straight at them and
answered this is impossible forhuman beings, but for God
everything is possible.
And the Passion Translationreads Looking into their eyes,
(03:12):
jesus replied Humanly speaking,no one, because no one can save
himself.
But what seems impossible toyou is never impossible to God.
The Message Bible reads Jesuslooked hard at them and said no
chance at all if you think.
You can pull it off yourself, every chance in the world if you
(03:36):
trust God to do it.
The Amplified Bible reads butJesus looked at them and said
With people, as far as itdepends on them, it is
impossible, but with God allthings are possible.
And the clear word reads Jesuslooked at them with concern and
said the way of salvation alwayslooks more difficult to humans
(04:00):
than to God.
With God, nothing is impossible.
The message in this verse isalso found in two other places
Mark 10.27,.
But Jesus looked at them andsaid With men it is impossible,
but not with God, for with Godall things are possible.
And then also in Luke 1.37,.
(04:22):
For with God nothing will beimpossible.
This is the context of Jesus'message here is that it's hard
for the rich to be saved.
The disciples, stunned by whathe has told them and by the
impossibility of salvation forthe rich, learn that human
effort cannot achieve what onlyGod's grace can accomplish.
(04:42):
Mankind cannot save themselves.
It's a lost cause.
Why?
Because all of us have sinnedand are under the penalty for
sin death.
The Bible says that all havesinned and fallen short of the
glory of God.
We cannot save ourselvesbecause we ourselves need a
Savior, because our situation isdire.
(05:05):
God does not want us to beoverwhelmed, discouraged or
dismayed.
He wants us to know that, whileit is not us to be overwhelmed,
discouraged or dismayed, hewants us to know that, while it
is not possible to saveourselves, our situation is
bright because of what God didfor us.
We can be victorious throughJesus Christ, our strength and
Redeemer.
Lift up your head and know thatGod has this under control and
(05:30):
your destiny is in God's handsand he will save us and give us
a future, and that all thingsare possible through Jesus
Christ.
Matthew 19.26 is a divineinvitation to relinquish our
belief in impossibility and leaninto the limitless power of God
(05:50):
.
Number 75 on our list is John14, 6.
Christ, the only way to God andtrue life.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion Jesus said to him I am
the way, the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Fatherexcept through me.
(06:11):
The Passion Translation readsJesus explained I am the way, I
am the truth and I am the life.
No one comes next to the Fatherexcept through union with me.
To know me is to know my Fathertoo.
And the Message Version.
And the Message Version.
Jesus said I am the road, alsothe truth, also the life.
(06:33):
No one gets to the Father apartfrom me.
The Living Bible says Jesustold him I am the way, yes, and
the truth and the life.
No one can get to the Fatherexcept by means of me.
The Amplified Bible Jesus saysto him I am the only way to God
(06:54):
and the real truth and the reallife.
No one comes to the Father butthrough me.
And the clear word reads Jesussaid I am the way you get to the
Father, I am the truth aboutwhat he's like.
No one can come to the Fatheron his own, he has to come
through me.
The Father's life is in me.
(07:18):
In today's hyper-PC world, somehow this verse has become
controversial.
It is not meant to be.
It's not meant to be divisiveor demeaning or disrespectful,
but rather to convey a truth, aclear and unequivocal truth.
The only way to be saved isthrough Jesus Christ.
There is no other way underheaven in which we are to be
(07:41):
saved.
There is no other Savior, thereis no other system, there is no
other religion.
There is not an alternatesystem or plan to nirvana.
If one is to be saved, it willbe through the blood of Jesus
Christ and His sacrifice on thecross for them.
Even if they don't know Jesus,it will still be through Jesus
(08:03):
they are saved.
Many a person has foughtagainst this, but it remains
true.
I have noticed that many of theworld's views, media and news
are not actually anti-religionbut anti-Christ.
Perhaps this is by design, in aploy of the devil to distract
people from the true path tosalvation and keep them on the
(08:25):
path of darkness.
God calls us out of darknessinto the light.
The Apostle Paul comes to theplace in his ministry.
That he says in 1 Corinthians2.2,.
For I resolve to know nothingamong you except Jesus Christ
and Him crucified.
That's how important it becamein his life.
(08:47):
Number 76 on our list isJeremiah 29.11.
God's promises secure ourfuture.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you, saysthe Lord thoughts of peace and
not of evil, to give you afuture and a hope.
(09:08):
And the New InternationalVersion reads and a hope.
And the New InternationalVersion reads For I know the
plans I have for you, declaresthe Lord Plans to prosper you
and not to harm you.
Plans to give you hope and afuture.
The New American StandardVersion reads For I know the
(09:30):
plans that I have for you, declares the Lord Plans for
prosperity and not for disaster,to give you a future and a hope
.
The Passion Translation readshere's what Yahweh says to you I
know all about the marvelousdestiny I have in store for you,
a future planned out in detail.
My intention is not to harm you, but to surround you with peace
(09:52):
and prosperity and to give youa beautiful future glistening
with hope.
The Message Version reads Iknow what I'm doing, I have it
all planned out.
Plans to take care of you, notabandon you Plans to give you
the future you hope for.
In the Amplified Bible it readsFor I know the plans and
(10:14):
thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord plans for peace
and well-being and not fordisaster.
To give you a future and a hope.
And the Clear Word reads Ialready know the plans I have
for you.
I will help you, not hurt you.
I will give you a future and ahope.
(10:34):
The Bible here shares that.
God thinks about us constantlyand with great love and interest
.
For example, psalm 139, 17-18says your thoughts about me are
more numerous than the grains ofsand on the seashore, and they
outnumber the sand on the coast.
I've been thinking about thisall day.
(10:55):
He never stops thinking aboutus.
That is something that happenswhen you love someone.
By the way, this verseemphasizes the vastness and
constant nature of God'sthoughts about each individual,
each person he has created.
God loves us and has a greatplan for us.
(11:16):
So awesome is God's plan and soincredible is His love and
power that even when we strayoff His plan, he is big enough
to get us back on track.
God always has a contingencyplan.
He is always ready to welcomeus back, restore us and put us
back on the path to success.
Jeremiah 29.11 reveals a lovingGod who is not absent but
(11:42):
intimately involved in our story.
Our future is safe in His hands.
In conclusion, matthew 19.26,john 14.6, and Jeremiah 29.11
together form a tapestry of hope.
God's power makes the impossiblepossible.
(12:02):
Jesus is the sure and only wayto life, and our future is
secure in God's loving plans.
When we face obstacles, uncertainty or despair, loving
plans.
When we face obstacles, uncertainty or despair, these
promises anchor us in grace.
No matter what you are facing, remember, with God all things
are possible.
Christ is your way, your truthand your life.
(12:25):
And your future is filled withhope because God himself has
planned it.
Rest in his love, walk in hisway and trust him for the
impossible.
Our future is held by a God whois able, a Savior who is the
way and a Father who has writtenour story with purpose.
(12:46):
No matter where you are today, struggling with impossibilities,
seeking direction or doubtingyour future, god's Word declares
all things are possible.
