In a world where uncertaintyabounds, God's word offers grace
that cannot be earned andassurance that cannot be shaken.

(01:46):
In this episode, we look atthree powerful scriptures that
remind us of the unmerited favorof salvation, the complete
forgiveness of sins, and God'sunwavering ability to keep us
from falling.
This devotional will lead youinto a deeper understanding of
the hope, peace, and confidencefound in God's grace.

(02:07):
The Christian walk begins withgrace and ends with eternal
assurance.
Today we will explore threepowerful truths.
We are saved by grace throughfaith, Ephesians 2, 8 and 9.
Our sins are remembered no more,Hebrews 8 12, and God is able to
keep us from stumbling, Jude 124.

(02:29):
Let your heart be stirred by theunshakable promises of God's
grace.
Verses 88 and 89 in our list isEphesians 2, 8 and 9.
Grace is the gift, not thereward.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion, for by grace you have

(02:49):
been saved through faith, andthat not of yourselves.
It is the gift of God, not ofworks, lest anyone should boast.
And the New InternationalVersion adds, not by works, so
that no one can boast.
The New American StandardVersion reads, For by grace you
have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves.

(03:13):
It is the gift of God, not aresult of works, so that no one
may boast.
Let's read the verse from a fewother versions.
For it is by God's grace thatyou have been saved through
faith.
It is not the result of your ownefforts, but God's gift, so that
no one can boast about it.
The Passion translation reads,For by grace you have been saved

(03:35):
by faith.
Nothing you did could ever earnthis salvation.
For it was the love gift fromGod that brought us to Christ.
So no one will ever be able toboast, for salvation is never a
reward for good works or humanstriving.
The message version reads,Saving is all his idea and all
his work.

(03:56):
All we do is trust him enough tolet him do it.
It's God's gift from start tofinish.
We don't play the major role.
If we did, we'd probably goaround bragging that we had done
the whole thing.
The very definition of grace isunmerited favor.
We did nothing to deserve orearn God's love, attention,

(04:16):
grace, and salvation.
I remember back in the day itwas quite common to receive
unsolicited phone calls tellingyou that you'd want a free
vacation.
When I was younger and I'd justgotten married, I received one
of those calls and was soexcited that I was going to take
my new bride on a vacation.
After speaking for a fewminutes, it became clear that

(04:36):
this free vacation was actuallygoing to cost me money for
processing fees.
It was a scam.
We live in a jaded society wherethere is no free lunch.
Seems like everyone has anangle.
Not with God.
He is motivated out of love anddoes not have an angle, except

(04:57):
his desire that we live and livemore abundantly.
We cannot do anything to earnsalvation.
It's already paid for.
Our part is to accept it andallow God to change us from the
inside out.
Salvation is not a trade or atransaction.
It is a generous act of divinemercy.

(05:19):
Grace initiates, faith receives, and God gets the glory.
Our role is to receive, not toachieve.
The Christian security isgrounded in God's generosity,
not human effort.
Ephesians 2, 8 and 9 make itclear, salvation is God's
initiative from beginning toend.

(05:39):
Verse number 90 on our list isHebrews 8 12.
God's forgiveness wipes theslate clean.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion, for I will be merciful
to their unrighteousness, andtheir sins and their lawless
deeds I will remember no more.
The New International Versionuses the word wickedness, that

(06:00):
God will remember it no more.
The New American StandardVersion says wrongdoings, and
their sins I will no longerremember.
The Good News Bible says, I willforgive their sins and will no
longer remember their wrongs.
The Passion Translation says,For I will demonstrate my mercy

(06:20):
to them and will forgive theirevil deeds, and never remember
again their sins.
The message version reads,They'll get to know me by being
kindly forgiven, with the slateof their sins forever wiped
clean.
Have you ever done anythingwrong to a friend and then ask
their forgiveness?

(06:41):
And they forgive you.
But then every time you get intoan argument with them from then
on, they bring it back up.
You see, they say they forgaveyou, but actually they're
keeping score, and they're usingit as ammunition against you.
Not God.
He chooses to forget.
And when we come to him, we neednot be ashamed or wonder if it's

(07:03):
going to affect how he treatsus.
Because he promises for it tonot impact his love and care for
us.
God's forgiveness is total andintentional.
He chooses to release us fromthe penalty and memory of our
sins, inviting us to live infreedom and confidence.
God's forgiveness is not partialor reluctant.

(07:26):
He chooses, by his will, tonever again bring our sins to
account.
This is not amnesia, is divinemercy in action.
The Christian application pointsfor this verse are many.
Embrace God's completeforgiveness.
Let go of guilt.
Forgive others as God hasforgiven you.

(07:46):
Extend mercy to others as you'vereceived it.
Live with hope.
Knowing your past does notdefine you.
Accept that your sins are fullyforgiven through Christ.
Stop rehearsing what God hasalready forgotten.
Celebrate new beginnings eachday in Christ.
Live boldly in your newidentity, not your past

(08:09):
mistakes.
Hebrews 8 12 assures us thatGod's forgiveness is absolute.
He does not keep a record of ourfailures, but welcomes us into a
relationship defined by mercyand grace.
God chooses not to remember oursins because they have been
dealt with at the cross.
For the believer, this bringsassurance that guilt no longer

(08:32):
has a grip on our lives.
Verse 91 on our list is Jude124.
Through God's power we can bekept from falling.
God is able to keep you standingstrong.
Reading from the New King JamesVersion, now to him who is able
to keep you from stumbling, andto present you faultless before

(08:53):
the presence of his glory withexceeding joy.
The New American StandardVersion reads, Now to Him who is
able to protect you fromstumbling and to make you stand
in the presence of His gloryblameless with great joy.
The Good News Bible reads, ToHim who is able to keep you from
falling and to bring youfaultless and joyful before His

(09:17):
glorious presence.
The Passion translation reads,Now to the one with enough power
to prevent you from stumblinginto sin, and bring you
faultless before his gloriouspresence, to stand before him
with ecstatic delight.
The message version reads, Andnow to him who can keep you on
your feet, standing tall in hisbright presence, fresh and

(09:42):
celebrating.
And lastly in the living Bible, and he is able to keep you from
slipping and falling away, andto bring you sinless and perfect
into his glorious presence withmighty shouts of everlasting
joy.
To those who think it isimpossible, here is a promise
that it is not.

(10:03):
God, the Almighty God, is on ourside.
His power is available to us.
Tapping into that power can giveus strength and victory over the
enemy.
Not in our own power, mind you,but in his.
We are presented faultless, butthat does not mean we are.
In fact, the Bible reminds usthat all of us are sinners, and

(10:26):
we are pretty dirty when itcomes to sin.
Filthy even.
But in Christ's grace, we can bepresented as blameless, perfect,
clean in the blood of Jesus.
The judge does not see ourfaults, but sees us as
righteous.
I really like the last part ofthe verse in that Christ

(10:46):
presents us with great joy.
He is so excited we are gettingcleaned up, and it's his honor
and privilege to see ourtransformation.
He is truly happy for us,ecstatic even.
As any parent can tell you, thejoy of seeing their child
succeed.
God is not only the initiator ofsalvation, he is also the

(11:10):
sustainer.
He actively guards us, ensuringwe reach our destination
blameless and joyful.
This is a promise of God'ssustaining power.
Our assurance is not in ourability to stand, but in God's
ability to keep us standing.
Jude 124 is a great declarationof spiritual security.

(11:31):
God not only saves us, he keepsus from falling, and ensures we
stand in His glory.
His power preserves us, and Hisjoy surrounds us.
In conclusion, grace is thethread that weaves through
Ephesians 28 and 9, Hebrews8:12, and Jude 124.
We are saved by grace, forgivenby grace, and kept by grace.

(11:54):
God's love is not a fleetingfeeling, but a steadfast
commitment to rescue, restore, and sustain us.
God's grace is not just a pastevent, it's a present reality
and a future promise.
Ephesians 2 8 and 9 assures usthat we are saved entirely by
grace through faith, not byworks.

(12:16):
We have nothing to boast in buteverything to rejoice over.
Grace is God's gift to us,unearned and unshakable.
Hebrews 8 12 and Jude 124 buildon this foundation, giving us
the assurance that our sins arenot only forgiven, they are
forgotten.
And as we walk this life offaith, Jude 124 reminds us that

(12:39):
God will keep us from stumbling, and present us faultless in His
presence.
Grace secures our salvation, andassurance seals our hope.
As you reflect on these truths, let your heart rest in the
assurance that God's work in youis complete, His forgiveness is
total, and His power is enough.

(13:01):
Walk in freedom, hope, and joy, knowing you're held by the
unbreakable grace of God.
Friends, in our next episode,What God Wants, we will continue
our look at the best of the best88 Bible Scripture passages by
