What happens when you combine a 20-year passion for video editing with a deep love for rodeo and Western culture? In just eight short months, Troy and his son have created Outlaw Echos, a rodeo promotion powerhouse that's amassed over 125,000 genuine followers and is revolutionizing how rodeo content is presented to the world.

Unlike typical rodeo coverage, Outlaw Echos brings ESPN-quality production values to every ride. Using multiple camera angles in a strategic "triangle" formation, they capture moments most fans never see – from the raw emotion behind the chutes to the exhilaration of successful rides. "You're not going to see Michael Jordan pop up at the local YMCA just to get a run in," Troy explains about rodeo's unique accessibility. "But you see that in rodeo and it's amazing."

The name "Outlaw Echos" carries profound meaning beyond initial impressions. To Troy, being an "outlaw" today means living counter to modern cultural norms – embracing personal responsibility, showing respect with "yes sir" and "yes ma'am," and prioritizing family values. When lived authentically, these values echo outward and positively influence others. This philosophy forms the foundation of everything they create.

What began as a father-son project has become something much more significant – a platform that honors rodeo's rich traditions while introducing them to new audiences through contemporary storytelling techniques. But despite their rapid growth, Troy maintains that the most valuable aspect remains the quality time spent with his children on the road, behind the camera, and editing footage together until the early morning hours. "If I'm at small-town rodeos for the next 20 years and that's all I'm doing, and it's this time I get with my kids, I'm in. Sign me up."

Ready to experience the authentic spirit of rodeo through a fresh lens? Follow Outlaw Echo and discover why this rapidly growing brand is changing how we see Western sports culture.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Troy from Outlaw Echoes.
How are you, man?
Best day of my life.
How about yourself?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Oh man, I'm doing good, I'm doing good.
Man, it's a hot one already.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Hot.
One right and gonna get hotter.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It says, yeah, it's gonna get hot man, it's gonna be
hot, you're gonna be down there, I'm gonna be up there.
But the cool thing is get hot.
Man, it's going to be hot, you're going to be down there,
I'm going to be up there.
But the cool thing is the music, man.
Music always brings us together, correct?
Absolutely Good times familymusic Can't wait.
Yeah, you're here with thelittle one.
I would say little one becauseI got one little one and two
older ones, but my little one isa seven just turned seven.

(01:02):
Little one is a seven justturned seven.
Nice, you got nine.
Her name is kenzie.
Yes, sir, but kenzie it's likea father daughter.
I'm doing a father daughter too, but kenzie is.
Something different aboutkenzie is she's a huge ian
munsick fan, you bet.
How is that?
How is that what?
What does ian bring to you?
Kenzie, come here, let's.

(01:22):
Let's just bring you up and getthat done before we hit the
meat potatoes.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I just like how he sounds and what kind of songs he
sings what kind of songs doeshe sing?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
because I know a little.
And then I saw him on socialmedia and you were just rocking
out and it was almost like youhad VIP, like tickets.
Did you have vip tickets?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
did we well we were, we were up close, we were up
close.
We'll just say up close, youbet yeah and they.
They sang at each other a littlebit and ian saw her singing you
know word for word with him andand he sang at her and and she
was excited about it for sure, right, so you personally know
him, no, just through his musicand we've always kind of bonded
over his music.

(02:08):
We love it, and we saw he wasin concert down the road and so
we got some tickets and went andshowed up and we were right up
close and she was singing alongand he sang at her and pointed
at her and that type of thingfor a small kid that's going to
make a lifelong fan right there.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Right, nine years old , I think she has to be the
hugest Ian Munsick fan man.
Yeah, yeah.
Would your brother say that too?
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Is that why they're not here?
Because they're not a fan.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
They like him, but not close to as much as me and
daddy.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Okay, and so whatever you say goes correct.
Yeah, okay, and so whatever yousay goes correct.
So if you say dad jump, he hasto say how high.
Yeah Okay, I knew it All right.
Well, kenzie, have a blasttoday.
All right, have fun.
Make sure you drink a lot ofwater every now and then put
some electrolytes in it, or youknow some, some Gatorade or a

(03:01):
little bit of soda.
I don't know if you do that, but make sure you drink up.
All right, okay, thank you,kenzie.
So, troy, yes, sir, now that wegot that out of the way, man,
you are the legend, like I say, man, the myth, the legend, but
you're the legend behind outlawechoes man, that's a terrible

(03:24):
word to use.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I'm just the dude out there trying to promote rodeo
and doing the best I can toshine a light on what I think is
the greatest atmosphere andculture in sports, to be honest
with you.
But yeah, we really enjoy whatwe do and have a good time out
there for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Let's start.
What makes it the perfect orthe best atmosphere?
What makes it that?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
for you.
Yeah, there's not a lot ofsports where you see athletes
cheering for each other to dobetter than they do.
You know, you're down in thechutes and you see a guy
throwing 82 on the back of abronc and the next guy up and
he's helping him get on, he'shyping him up, he's yelling at
him let's have a good ride, posta good score, and he's actually
cheering for the dude who couldcome in right after him and
take his money from him.

(04:05):
And you don't see that a lot insports.
So just that alone and thatkind of encapsulizes the entire
mindset of rodeo and, quitefrankly, the, the Western
lifestyle, you know, thehumility, the love, the, the
passion, the respect, thecamaraderie, the family is just.
It's the greatest atmosphere tobe around.
I've been around sports mywhole life and it's uh.
Nothing compares to that.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
It's totally different and I would agree 100,
100.
Do you find it before?
We get more into what you'rebehind and you own and
everything else.
But do you find it differentthe more you move up and the
ranks of?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
not, not in that sense of the word.
I find more dedication maybe toconditioning of body time and
effort put in that sort of thing.
But in regards to thecamaraderie, in regards to the
going down the road together, seeing each other at each rodeo,
hyping each other up, that thatseems to be from, you know,
junior rodeo all the way upthrough the prca and even into

(05:04):
pbr now how?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
how are they?
Because you're not an athleteyourself, right?
Not anymore, from junior rodeoall the way up through the PRCA
and even into PBR.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Now, how are they?
Because you're not an athleteyourself, right?
Not?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
anymore In the rodeo world.
No, not in the rodeo world.
Do you find yourself beingaccepted the way you are?

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Big time Because I come in as an invited guest.
I don't come in as the way youstarted it with the legend the
man myth.
I came, I come in with hey, howcan I present you in the best
light to other people?
I'm not going to make a mockeryout of someone.
I'm not going to make them lookbad with any videos.
I'm always going to lift themup and and brighten them.
And I was raised around rodeo.
You know all my cousins teamropers, calf ropers, my okay, my

(05:37):
other cousins.
A two-time reserve worldchampion, steer wrestler at the
nfr like this.
I've been around this my wholelife, so I know how to act, what
to show, what not to show, whatto say, what not to say, and so
I've just been really welcomedand it's been an incredible
situation, honestly but then youfind out they act just as we do
, absolutely, and you know outof the room for sure the dirt

(05:57):
you bet you bet yeah, you knowwho invited me just recently to
go ride with them on the road, wiley.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Oh nice.
Now I can tell, like you know,he's a man's man, you bet, you
know.
And he rides.
He's very professional in therink and out, yeah, but I can
tell he can get down man WileyJack, you bet.
Coyote, coyote, it's Coyote,absolutely Coyote.
Coyote, it's Coyote, absolutelyWild Jack Coyote, good dude.

(06:26):
So, with being accepted andeverything else, people don't
question you.
Basically, you do what you doand you're darn good at it,
thank you.
Social media is not my kind ofcup of tea.
I'll take a picture here andthere let people know where I'm
at, you bet.
But then I also find out that alot of people don't.
If I'm missing one thing, they're like, oh, this is a

(06:50):
mountain and brew, you knowsocial media.
And I'm like, no, it's not,it's just.
I travel.
I don't like to eat fast food,I like brewery food, and there's
a lot of breweries that get abad rep because a lot of people
think it's just pub food.
There's some good stuff outthere, man, and one of the best
ones that I know of isInitiative out of Redmond.

(07:11):
If you ever go to Redmond, hitthem up, man, because it's not
like a brew pub, it's likehigh-end food, not just burgers
and stuff like that.
They got like Pad Thai, but Ilike to put them on blast, you
know, because I don't want toeat McDonald's on the road, you
know.
And so what I did made adifference is, uh, when I, when

(07:35):
I went to Indiana, I had mydaughter pick the breweries, you
know, nice.
So I was just like pick whichone?
And anything with fried pickles.
She was like, okay, and youknow, fried pickles, there's a
lot of different pickles outthere, yes, sir, and she's a
connoisseur.
And she made sure hey, nice, this is.
This hits the spot.
So, going back, outlaw echoesyeah, the meaning behind it all,

(07:57):
why outlaw echoes the?
The name, yeah, and why set itup now?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
and well, the first part, there, the outline, echoes
the name that basically formedfrom.
You know, as as my, my son andI were, we're kind of thinking
about what we wanted to do andkind of the platform and how it
would look and whatnot.
We started thinking about namesand and one thing I've always
seen for the last I don't know16, 17 years is is adults coming

(08:23):
up to your kids are sowell-mannered it's ma'am, it's
sir, it's please, it's thank you, it's look them in the eye,
it's shake their hand.
And as that continued to happen, time after time after time, I
started to realize that thereason these people are saying
this stuff to me about mychildren is because that's not
common In today's society.
That is not a common way forchildren, teenagers, young men

(08:46):
to behave.
It's kind of that outlying wayof living.
You know, the idea of personalresponsibility, the idea of
looking out for one another.
That seems to be the outlyingmindset of our society, and it
used to not be, and so that'swhere the outlaw part comes in.
I'm trying to continue to liveoutside of what that new norm is

(09:07):
that I don't want to be a partof.
I want to have personalresponsibility.
I want to wake up in themorning and pray, get on my
knees and give my life and mychildren to God.
And I want to work out in themorning, get that out of the way
, and I want to look guys in theeyes.
I want my kids to shake hands.
So it's that outlaw mentality ofI'm not doing everything the
way society is.
You know, Romans 12, 2 talksabout do not conform yourself to
the world, but transformyourself to the renewing of your

(09:29):
mind.
That's the mindset thatbasically Outlaw Echoes was
built on.
That idea of the new outlaw isthat person who's living that
way.
And when you live that way, with these people coming up to
me and telling me that I'mseeing this, I'm seeing that in
your kids, it echoes out and itchanges other people.
And so when you live thisoutlaw life and it's not this
shoot them up, outlaw you knowthat people think when they
first see the page no, it's theexact opposite.

(09:51):
But when you live that way, itdoes echo out, it does change
people, it brings people in.
No-transcript.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I was just trying to put two and two together.
I'm like, okay, okay, outlawEcho.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
So when did you?

Speaker 1 (10:16):
start the brand.
Crazy enough, we started inDecember of last year, so 24,
we've only been doing it forwhat?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
eight, eight months or so, and good gosh that social
media you got quite thefollowing yeah, now dude
outstanding production thank youI think kenzie's behind it.
I don't think big brother is,but kenzie, knowing you know big
brother.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
He thinks he's a professional photographer he
doesn't do the editing in those.
So he just shows up where's thecamera, I'll get the shot and
walks out.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yeah, yeah so so now that I know you know kinsey, I
think runs the show- behindbehind dad, dad, just, you know
he calls the shots, but I thinkkinsey calls more of the shots
than anything ceo acuteexecutive officer ah, there you
go there you go there you go butlike eight months and then yeah
, you know, if you look on yourfollowing or your followers,

(11:06):
they're not paid.
You know, not one purchasedfollower I make sure I talk to.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
There is not one purchase.
We have done a couple of adswhere you want to get in front
of certain people.
Just a couple of those, veryfew of those.
Even all of it's been organicgrowth.
Yeah, I'm glad you said there'snot.
You know we got 125 000 and notone of them was purchased well,
I looked, man, why wiley talksyou guys up and I?

Speaker 3 (11:27):
I saw you guys before wiley mentioned it I was like,
yeah, man, they got quite thephone he's like yeah, you should
, you should hit up on that.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
They got organic growth.
So I actually like I, you know,I do my research, I make sure,
I maintain, and yeah, you know, just dude, not one person from
india, because that's where theyget them from.
You know that right?
Yeah, is that right?
Is that how you look at it?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I wasn't sure I was like how do you know?
I didn't buy any of those.
Yeah, no, I didn't.
I didn't know it's all India orPakistani.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah, man, it's like not when you get social media,
when you get a podcast yeah, that's how you can boost your
growth and pay this much, andall those guys are from foreign
countries that don't even payattention and then they're bots.

(12:13):
That's how you know okay that'swhen you see, hey, I want to
message you, you know hey can I?
put this online like no right, and they don't.
So yeah, so you got the hugefollowing eight months and 123
000 yes, sir, followers.
Right, you don't put yourselfout there that much yes, man,

(12:34):
you you've done your research.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
You don't put yourself no, I I didn't.
The first seven months or so,the first couple of months, it
was what is this page going tobe?
Yeah, we know it's going to bewestern content, because I had
all this rodeo footage from, youknow, family members.
I had all these country westernconcerts that we get pretty
good seats too because we'repassionate about it.
So I had all this westerncontent.
You know, different uh, countyfairs and whatnot, and race cars

(12:57):
, all this western guys.
Like what am I?
This is what the page is goingto be about.
So we started with that, yeah, and then I I went out to Montana
in January, out to Great Falls,to watch my cousin compete in
the Montana circuit finals andhe won the steer wrestling out
there and we got a bunch ofcontent and we started posting
it.
And that really started to blowup.
And my cousin came to me andsaid you know there's not a lot

(13:17):
of guys who are doing NBA, nflstyle highlights on rodeo.
And he said you know's beendoing for 20 years.
He said what we do is we justtake our runs, we take our rides
and we just post them on socialmedia and the graphics are
wrong.
And there's, you know, the.
The sounding is is terrible andthere's no slow motion, there's
nothing to them, we just throwthem up there.
And he said what you're doingwith these types of highlights,
where you're putting like espnlevel, that's what he was saying

(13:38):
.
He said there's a huge hole forthat in the rodeo world and when
we started doing that, it waslike the growth really started
to happen as well.
It's crazy, right.
So we started to form into okay, not only are we going to
continue to promote the westernlifestyle, but we're going to
bring these people who are intothis lifestyle into the actual
rodeo lifestyle by using thewestern style content to bring
them to the rodeo content.
And then boom, there it is,these highlights and we're

(14:01):
creating more western rodeo fansthrough our content.
So that's how it kind ofdeveloped into this rodeo
promotion A lot of it, a lot ofit, yeah.
And then, as we're doing that,my son's like hey, if we're
going to continue to promoterodeos, for particular rodeos,
they're going to hire us andthey're going to bring us in and
we're going to promote therodeo.
We have to go behind the scenesand show them what's going on.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
And I'm like I don't want to be in front of the
camera.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
I don't want to do that, you know.
So my son's like, let me do itfirst.
Yeah, the 4th of July weekend, that was the first one we did.
He did an outstanding job.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
He did a great job.
I was proud of him, you know.
Yeah, he brought his own humorto it, but he was serious about
it.
He's like if we're going topromote rodeos on a personal

(14:51):
level, then we probably shouldkind of show what we're doing
and maybe bring more of thatbackstage stuff to the front.
Okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
A lot of people put you know when you you talked
about outlaw echoes a lot ofpeople put god first, you guys
put second and you don't reallytalk about that much right on
social media no the first timeyou talked about it is today
yeah is there a reason?
No, there's no wrong or rightanswer.
I was just wondering because alot of people in the world we do

(15:20):
.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
We do have god, family country, we've got god
first.
We do have that, but we're notgonna.
The mindset of this is builtaround that.
But you can be a fan of rodeoand not be a fan of God.
You can be a fan of the Westernlifestyle and not be a fan of
God.
So I don't want people thinkingthat hey, to be a fan of this
page or to watch these, we'vegot to be a God follower at all.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
But at the, I got you , I got you.
But there's a lot out that putfirst and that's all they put
and nothing wrong with it, butit does steer a lot of people
away.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
That may be the case.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Especially the people that are just getting into it.
Yeah, you know, just the light, not the lifestyle, but just the
rodeo way of life.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah for sure, and when I look at the God thing,
it's attraction over promotionfor me.
Gotcha, you want to know whatI'm doing.
You want to know why.
When you first asked me, whenwe started the podcast, how was
your day Best day of my life?
That's my answer every singletime.
I live a godly way.
I live my life according towhat I think God wants me to
live, how he wants me to be aman in front of my kids and my
wife.
Now, if you want to know whatthat's about, we can talk about

(16:20):
it, but I'm not going to forceit.
I'm not going to shove it downsomeone's throat.
You know it's.
It's attraction over promotionfor me.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Okay why not put yourself out there more?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
you not interesting?
I don't care about me, it's notabout me.
I'm not trying to promote otherpeople.
To be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
I'm trying to promote other people yeah, I see you in
the pictures, but you're not infront of the camera stating
anything.
You know you.
Just you have your son do it.
You bet how old's your son.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
He's 17.
And he does a fantastic, fantastic job.
And ultimately we started thepage cause it was like what are
you gonna do with your life?
You're really social.
Yeah, you're a good looking kid, you're funny.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
You're smart, you're good in front of the camera.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Nice, nice, yeah, you're good in front of the
camera.
I was like you know, what doyou?
And he's like oh, social mediais one of the biggest growing
businesses in America, you know.
So what do we do about that?
Well, let's start a page.
What are we going to start itabout?
Well, we love the Westernlifestyle.
We live the Western lifestyle.
We're in the barn, you know, five days a week with my
daughter.
We're, you know, all our familymembers are rodeoing.
Let's start a page based onthat.

(17:18):
And so, hopefully, this is kindof maybe, or social media, or
in front of the camera, something like that.
So that's why the idea of let'sget him out there.
You know, I love the editing, Ilove the videoing, I love
promoting people, all the stuffno one likes.
I love it, I love it.
You know, I want to lift you upand show how good you look, you
know, and so that's just partof it.

(17:40):
It's like all right, buddy, letto be in a lot of the videos.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
So is the majority of this his baby?
No, it's me, it's you.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, it's me, he loves it and I think ultimately
he'll take it over someday.
But you know, I've been inbusiness for you know business
world for 25, 30 years, and soit's like what do you want to do
, son?
I want to do this.
Okay, let's build this, so Iwould say a majority at this
point, a lot of impact from him, input from him, sorry, and a

(18:08):
lot, of, a lot, yeah, a lot oftime together in that.
But as far as, like, sittingdown and editing the videos,
yeah, that's me, that's me,because he'll leave dead spots
or you know, he's learning, youknow.
So he'll edit it and give it tome and I'll kind of clean it up
and then we'll post it, sort ofthing.
But it's not just here's thefootage.
Go do it, buddy.
Not yet.
Did you ever think you would bethis big?
I think it could be a lotbigger, because it's not me, you

(18:28):
know what I mean.
I think that the sport and thelifestyle is so attractive and
there is such a gaping hole inregards to covering it.
I think it could go a lotbigger.
To be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, I can see you guys going bigger than a lot of
people that are out now.
You guys go on bigger than alot of people that are out now.
You guys are a lot bigger thanthe people that are out now and
they are the big names.
You know what I mean.
They have the names and that'sthe only difference.
Yeah, you're making a name foryourself, but the production,
like I said, like people havebeen saying ESPN style.
You know, when I see a postfrom you, I know it's not grainy

(19:01):
.
Yeah, I know it's not grainy.
Yeah, I know it's not like.
You know wiley's phone, youknow right back of the shoe.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yeah, you know for sure it's like, yeah, straight
up, it's money yeah we're gonnahave two or three cameras, two
or three different angles, likeyou know a lot of times.
Yeah, a lot of people have oneangle and if the, if the horse
goes away, you lose it.
We got a guy on each side ofthe of the of the arena and one
behind the shoes.
We got a triangle.
It triangled.
So wherever that horse goes, wherever that bull goes, we got
them.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Looks a lot better than the Cowboy Channel mostly
too, let me tell you.
But no, with that production, are you ready for growth?

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Absolutely, and if people start catching wind of
the PNW outlaw echoes, you know,I mean the ceiling's high man,
For sure, and I always say Iwant to get the most eyes on, I
want to make this the mostsought after.
Looked at watched circuit in thecountry Just because this is

(19:52):
where I'm at and I love thepeople that are involved in it.
I love the Cowboys, I love theCowgirl, I love the stock
contractors, I love everythingabout this circuit.
So it's like let's promote thehell out of this and then, if it
goes elsewhere, great.
We've shot the PBR twice.
There's other big ones thatwe're going to go bigger and
bigger, but it's always going tobe.
You know the Aces, Wild Rodeos, the PNW, you know PRCA in this

(20:14):
region.
That's really going to turn uson.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Okay, what if it does happen?
What if it does?
You got the opportunity to goto Texas.
You got the opportunity to goto Southeast.
You got you know, New Jersey isa big cow town.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
You know what happens then.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I mean.
I don't know if it's asituation where we have, you
know, satellite, remote pagesall over the place, but right
now we're focused on the PacificNorthwest and then, you know,
maybe some of the finals andsome of the bigger promotional
type rodeos, things like that, but as far as just like covering
a circuit, there is no plans togo anywhere outside of the
Columbia River circuit.
To be honest with you right now.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
And what about getting a a booth on at the NFR?

Speaker 1 (20:54):
We are going to the NFR this year.
We're going to go with aceswild rodeo and sit on some of
the meetings and whatnot and seewhat that's about and whatnot.
As far as a booth, that mightbe a year or two out, but you
know, anything's a possibility.
Everything's open.
And what about social media?
Keeping that but also startingyour own podcasts.
You got to go up against guyslike you that are professionals.

(21:15):
It's tough to do.
I mean I don't want to.
You know, go in there and justget pummeled right off the bat.
You know I'm going to stick.
No, I'm.
I'm passionate about videos.
You know my my kids have.
You know, I grew up.
I've, quite frankly, I've beenediting videos for the last 20
years, before video cameras wereeven like easily to carry
around.
You know, you can go back toour hard drives and pull up
seven years ago in march andyou'll see exactly what our

(21:37):
family was doing and it'll beset to music with slow motion
and you know so, literally everymonth for the last 20 years
I've been editing videos.
So video editing is my passion.
Okay, podcast is not my passion.
So could I do it?
I mean it'd be cool, it'd befun, but that's not my passion.
Like when I'm in a rodeo, westay out late.
You know we cover everything.
We cover behind the scenes.
Yeah, the next morning I'm inthe hotel or I'm in the back of

(21:58):
the truck and I wake up at 3, 30or 4, just wake up out of the
blue and start editing, becauseI can't wait to get to the
editing.
I absolutely love it.
I want to see, what did I?
What did we get what?
What shots did we get?
How can I make it look?
How cool is this ride that?
What music I got to find theright music to go with?
My son will wake up.
Oh, use this song, you know.
So the passion of that is whatkeeps me to the video editing
and the social media, ratherthan the podcast or anything

(22:20):
like that well, I appreciate theuh, the top dog word doing it,
man, you're doing it.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Yes, sir you know a lot of people do that.
But man, I tell you what coupleyou know.
The year has been like just alittle stressful, you know.
Yeah, yeah, but I appreciateyou the kind words you bet.
And you know, shout out toWiley.
Ain't going to shout that oneperson out, okay, but I'll shout
out Wiley.
But you know he was just likedude, you got to get him on.
It's going to be good.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
It's going to promote the heck out of it.
That's cool.
So no, wiley's great.
We've put up, I think, twoindividual highlight videos of
him and I think one of them haslike 110 000 views.
The other one has 70 000 viewsand you know, whatever the
reason is these, these people, they love the wiley videos it's
pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
It's guys like that that make me continue or allow
me to continue.
Just because they feed they, they feed it, you know, and and
I had a passion, I always had apassion radio.
That's why I don't do socialmedia that's why I don't put
this on social media now mydaughter.
On the other hand, which I wasgoing to say, what's up kids and
social media these days?
right my daughter, on the otherhand, is like why don't you just

(23:24):
put it on social media?
Why do you?
It's so much work, yeah, somuch work it really is and also
it's not about me.
I've never put this podcastabout me.
I put the podcast.
The only time I put it about meis like when I'm traveling,
yeah, I meet people.
You bet the breweries.
But every guy, person I put onhere, I put them on blast.

(23:46):
It's not me, and you know.
And so finally I'll be puttingmyself on the last way, it's for
sure.
You know I'm 246, 45.
This is 45th incredible episode.
I could have more, but peopleknow, as you know, life happens.
Yeah, you know, like forrestgump said, you bet with the
smiley face.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, with the smile.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yes, sir, yes and and so here I am and had a few
sparks and a few people on thathave put it on.
But Wiley man, he's alwaysstaying true.
He's like dude, give me a patch, I'll wear it, I'll wear it.
He's like I believe in you andhe's a young buck.
He's a young kid For sure, witha wise soul.
Yep, he's just amazing.

(24:30):
I'd say nothing but greatthings about him.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
And you know he'll hear this and he's like man you
put tears in my eyes Now he'snot going to tear up because I
said that Right, you know, shutthem tears off.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, he's like nope, not anymore, right.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
But no, I'm going to go on the road.
That's going to be.
Opportunity comes.
You got a nine to five or yep, yeah, yep, the opportunity comes
.
Would you be willing to step upyour game in the rodeo world?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
absolutely, yeah, absolutely.
If you tell me, do anything, all I have to do is is rodeo
videos and promotion.
Yeah, I'm in, absolutely okay, you know, and and if it goes
that way which which would begreat that's fantastic, and
maybe that's what we're settingup for my sons.
I got my 15-year-old who alsocomes out in videos as well.
So, if this is what we set upand they're able to do this,
this is their nine-to-five isrodeo, promotion and social

(25:20):
media great.
I love social media becauseit's a platform for me to use my
art, it's a place for me topost my videos.
That's why I love it.
Gotcha, eight months and 123Kyeah, and really we only started
posting heavy highlights andwhatnot in January, february, so
you know it's been four or fivemonths of some pretty rapid
growth.

(25:41):
Think about it man, I'm justsaying that's crazy.
No, it is.
I'm looking at some of thenumbers, Some of these videos.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
We've got like 80 videos that have over 300 000
views.
I look at those numbers.
Those are crazy numbers.
That's insane and I would say,uh, some other word.
But dude, it's not garbage manit's crazy, you know?
Yeah, it's it's out of thisworld, and that's one of the
things wiley's like oh yeah, dude, my video got this I'm like
okay, wiley dude there's crazynumbers.
Yeah, you're stud.
People know that.
That's it, that's All.
The girls love you.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
That's it.
Yeah, for sure.
That's why, yeah, let's get aspace in front of the camera as
soon as possible, for sure,exactly.
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
So you ever get starstruck.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Man, I don't want to sound arrogant, but I don't Like
they're.
They're people and it's.
You know.
I love people, you know, andit's not.
I love what people have donewith their life, but that's what
.
That's what stardom is, it's.
What have you done better thanother people?
That's all it is.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yeah, but you ever meet somebody and you're like,
damn, I can't believe he's inthe same room as me.
Let me think If you were withDougie Doug, dougie's great.
And look at J-Dub man, j-dub,j-dub's great.
I remember when he was just outthere at Lotto Bulls, yep,
doing that.
Now, after the podcast, hestarted getting some contracts

(26:59):
in Montana, yep.
And now look at him, dude, he'sdoing great, he's dogging it,
yeah, so yeah, when I see thatlittle guy, I'll tell, tell you
what.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
I wouldn't say starstruck, but.
But we were out at cedricwoolley over fourth july weekend
and I'm sitting up and we weclimb into little spots to get
the right angle and I got oneguy hiding mine.
Offense, I got one guy up, youknow, by the, by the announcer's
booth, and so that time I'm upin the perch by the announcer
booth, I'm looking over thecrowd and I see this dude
patched up.
I'm like this guy has no openreal estate on his shirt.
Yeah, I got this, has got to besomeone.
I look closer, I'm like that'sty harris, yeah.

(27:34):
And I'm like, no, I pull out myday.
I'm like hold on, hold on, he'snot on this day.
That's who it is.
I'm tech to my son hey, dude'scoming up three runs.
It's ty harris, number four inthe world.
You got to get him, make sureyou get him.
He's like okay, you know, noproblem.
After the run he came in throughthe loop, took, took second the
rodeo, just crushed it.
I go back behind the box and Isay, hey, man, I'm troy, I'm

(27:57):
without like those.
Do you mind if I ask you acouple questions?
Yeah, he says no, I love it.
I'd really appreciate it andI'm like you gotta be kidding, I
was right starstruck by thehumility of a superstar.
Oh yeah, there are so manysports where they're like now
get away from me out, like whothe heck's out?
Like I'm not talking to you.
This dude was like I'd behonored.
Yes, please, please, ask mequestions.

(28:18):
It was amazing.
And he's like hey, tag me,we'll collaborate with you on
that video.
You know it's great.
Yeah, so when you saystarstruck, that's what
starstruck me is like you haveso much success, you have so
many followers everybody in therodeo world knows who you are
and you act honored that I'mgonna ask you some questions.
Yeah, so, to answer yourquestion.
Yeah, I mean, I guess I'mstarstruck in that type of
situation where it's like wow, really, this is how you're going

(28:39):
to treat me in this amazing way.
Yeah, even though you're atthis elevated status that you're
at no, I got you.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
That makes sense.
Yeah, and that's what I meant.
For sure you know.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Like, yeah, my gosh, it was cool.
It was a really cool experience.
You bet, and you're right smalltimes he just pops up out of
nowhere.
I'm like what hold up?
Yeah, that's the great thingabout rodeo you know, I mean
you're not gonna see michaeljordan pop up at the local ymca
just to get a run in.
You know, I mean like out ofthe blue, but you see that in
rodeo and it's amazing yeah, itis.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
It is okay, all right , man, so nfr one day.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Yeah, I mean, if that's where god has in plan,
I'm.
I'm down for whatever.
You know, if we're down in thedirt one day for nfr, that would
be fantastic.
It'd be amazing.
You know, if we're not and I'ma cedar woolly every single year
for the next 20 years that'samazing as well.
You know, wherever wherever Ican spend time with my kid this
is so much about my kids, yeahI'm on the road.
We're driving four and a halfhours, me and my son.

(29:33):
How many dads are with their17-year-old son every weekend
for four hours in a truck, videoing, chopping up videos
together, driving home fourhours, camping, making bonfires,
eating food on the road withtheir 17-year-old son and them
saying this is fantastic.
What an opportunity.
You know what I mean.
So if I'm in, if I'm at smalltown road, if I'm at open rodeos

(29:55):
for the next 20 and that's allI'm doing and it's this time I
get with my kids, I'm in, signme up.
But if it's nfr, I'm good theretoo no, knowing you know
harrison collabing with them.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
The more people you collab, the the bigger you're
gonna get yep, yep, so goes thatway.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Great.
But as long as I got the kidswith me and we're doing this
together, you know I'm inwherever it takes me.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
I feel like, even before taking this, you know
this episode and everything elseI feel like, dude, you're going
to get larger than life andyou're going to expand and
you're going to know what to do.
But but I think, man, justhearing that you started eight
months ago and having thefollowing that you do yeah, only
time, it's only time will tellman yeah, and it's crazy to sit

(30:37):
down with you.
You know, I'm honored to haveyou on, but just now, knowing
like eight months, yeah, andsocial media, man, I didn't know
my daughter was on to something.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
It's crazy it's been cool girl, and it's crazy it's
been cool girl and it's beenit's been.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Instagram focused.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
You know, we got like 5,000 on Tik TOK and I just
don't.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
I don't put any time into it, it's more appropriate.
Yeah, tik TOK is like you canget lost.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
What I like about Instagram is the interaction,
like I can collab with, with, with, with cowboys and cowgirls,
and they can promote it and wecan comment back and forth to
each other and you're one directmessage away from that person
and it just feels like it's moreinteractive and instagram and
it's less showy, it feels morefamily, it feels more you know
kind of the platform that we'rewe're presenting and facebook's
dying.
That's what I'm hearing.
Yeah, facebook's dead.

(31:21):
A lot of rodeo committees wantus on facebook, so we just
developed our facebook page lastweek.
Okay, we have 22 wholefollowers.
So if you're listening, youwant to go on facebook and
follow us go ahead, so you canintegrate your Instagram and
Facebook.
So just basically, we're doingthat right now.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, just go to Meta Cool and then.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
They'll just Nice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So everything that I say onInstagram goes to my personal
Facebook.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
I got to link that up .
Most of my time, like I said,is all on.
Instagram.
Yeah, my son's on there as well.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
So how many hours a day Too many?

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Let's say during the rodeo.
It's the whole time.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
When it ends?
How late do you stay up?
Do you get any rest?

Speaker 1 (32:03):
No, not on rodeo weekends.
It's Friday at noon.
We leave and we're there by 3or 4, and we set up and we shoot
it and then we go back to wherea lot of times we sleep in the
bed of the truck.
We'll just sleep in the truckand then get up next morning at
four in the morning and five inthe morning.
I'm starting to edit because Iwant to get.
I want to get four or fivehighlight videos posted in the
morning before the evening orafternoon perf so that people in

(32:26):
the area can see it and come tothe show.
Gotcha, look what's happeningover here.
Oh, we're only an hour away,we're a half hour away.
So that's going to help promotethe actual rodeo.
So if I can get up and getthree or four of those good
highlight videos not the storybut the actual videos posted,
then that's going to promotethat evening.
Okay, right, that's going tocreate more buzz about it.
So I'm banging hours and thenthe next day sunday or monday,

(32:57):
whatever it is it's up in themorning and it could be till
nine or ten o'clock at nightediting videos, sending them to
people who were in the video, posting them on stories, finding
the right songs, like it'sliterally from friday morning
till monday night make adifference.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
That's what it is.
It makes a difference because alot of people they're like you
put you put on like you knowsome Merle Haggard, like nah.
But if you put on some, youknow hip hop or it's got a match
.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Has to match.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
It's got a match and honestly that's.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
That's the greatest compliment I get when someone
because the rodeo or the eventtells me what the video is going
to be about.
You know, I could go to a rodeoa small town rodeo where just
some of the rankest Bronx areand the songs are going to match
that, but I'm not going to goto one that isn't that way and
try to create that feeling inthe video and the songs help do

(33:45):
that.
You know what I mean.
So when we first started I waslike I'm only doing country,
that's it, I'm only.
And I was like ah, this one thisone really makes me feel rock
and roll.
I got to do it and I'm likethis kind of Eminem.
Let me throw that on there.
So it's like you really can't.
I mean, I'm heavy, heavycountry but we're throwing in
some rock and occasional, somehip hop, like whatever the,
whatever the video tells you getinvolved with a lot of the

(34:09):
younger kids and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
They ain't listening to country Right, they're
listening to Katy Perry, taylorSwift, nickelback.
I wouldn't go that way.
But, they're listening to thegrown boys, the hardcore boys,
on the bulls and back of thebulls.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
I'm hearing that.
I've heard that on your podcasta couple of times.
Yeah, man, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
We're listening to Taylor Swift on the way to the
rodeo, so I'm gonna ask, I'mgonna ask, when you are
traveling with your boys?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
yeah, kenzie, right now yeah, kenzie, okay, kenzie
can put her input soon.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Yeah, she's waiting.
She's on her ipad, you know, with their boots on and
everything else.
You bet.
What are you guys rolling up to?

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I mean it's a lot of hank jr really okay, yeah yeah,
that's family that'snumber one for me and both my
boys Like absolutely.
And then we, you know we loveCody Johnson, riley Green.
There's actually some MorganWallen mixed in it's 95 to 98%
country on the way to theseshows for sure, okay, absolutely
.
You know Alan Jackson.
We went and saw Alan Jackson, zach Topp in Dallas a couple of

(35:07):
months ago.
That was incredible.
You know so huge Zach Top fans.
I mean Northwest, I mean thatmakes sense, right, we would
love them.
But just the old school countryand Worthington, there are just
so many out there that are sogood right now that it's
straight country and it'stypically true country that we
really like.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Same same, so question.
I know she's the huge IanMunsic's fan.
What did you guys roll up into?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
So we went.
We're a set list group Like her, and I go to a lot of concerts
together.
I take my boys to a lot ofconcerts with my wife.
We do a lot of concerts, andI'll just research the set list.
And so we set up the Ian Munsicset list, we set up the Riley
Green set list and we set up theCody Johnson set list.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
It was so cute.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
She's like set it up she's like.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
She's like that's like an hour and 15 minutes per
set list.
We can listen to all set listsand get all the songs and we'll
re-listen to them.
Make sure we get all the words.
We're ready to go, so it's, uh,on the way.
Here it was.
It was the three that we'regoing to see tonight at the
pendleton whiskey music fest, but with the boys.
It's, it's straight country onthe way to the rodeos with her,
it's.
You know, whatever concertwe're going to, we're just
thumping that music the wholeway.
Okay, yeah, and she has a heavyinput, and and so do the boys,

(36:13):
you know, they really do, andI'm just, I'm just blessed that
all three of my kids havesimilar interests, that I have,
you know, and uh, similar tastein music and we got the same
mindsets and and so it's, it's,it's like I'm hanging out with
my friends when we're heading tothese rodeos.
To be honest, it's amazingthat's, that's the best way to
have it right.
We show up and it's excitement.
We're in the back of the chutesand we're, you know, shaking
hands and laughing and having agood time with all the

(36:33):
competitors.
And it just, it just continuesfrom the, from the, from the cab
of the truck right into thechutes and then into the, the
night, at the, at the fire anddown at the restaurants tell me
your first moment about whenthey offered you to go back in
the chutes behind the chutes, man so that was, uh, that was
monroe in march and we, like Isaid, we shot the january, we

(36:55):
shot the montana circuit finalsin january.
We were outside the, we wereoutside the fences, but my
cousin did get us back behindwhere they're warming up, you
know.
So we got a, we got to shootshelby medjed and we got to
shoot, you know, joey williamsand some of these, you know big
time rodeo stars.
It was cool, we were back there, but as far as like, on the
shoots it was different, youknow.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
And then it's way different.
It's way different, it's waydown monroe.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
I just reached out.
I was like, hey, you know, thisis right down the road from us,
it's a, it's a prca rodeo.
We just got done with themontana one and maybe, maybe
that's the way this page isgoing, so let's take a look at
that.
So we reached out to somepeople and they're like man,
come check it out, you knowwe'll get you back here.
So we get back there and it's adifferent feeling from, you
know, being in the stands oreven up next to the fences, than

(37:40):
it is being, you know, a footfrom the action.
It's a really cool experience.
That's what I try to capturewith those videos is how it
truly feels, and you still can't.
You cannot capture theexcitement, the intensity, the
fear.
I mean there was one time and Iwon't say the rodeo, cause you
might be able to find out whothe cowboy was but I'm zooming
in on his face and he's gottears coming out of his eyes,

(38:02):
getting on this bull and hiswhole body is shaking.
You're not seeing that from thestands and I'm like I'm here
for a reason.
I'm staying zoomed in, I'mstaying in that tight shot on
his face and he looks at me andthe fear is incredible and he
seen me record him and he didn'thave an issue with it.
You know, I stayed on him andhe's shaking and and he
announced like we're going toget one of these balls covered.
And I'm like looking up at thatNow it's just staying like not

(38:26):
this dude, he can massivestruggle going on right there.
Am I not going to stay on foreight?
Am I going to shake my head?
Am I going to nod my head andopen this gate?
You know, and I was able tocapture that and, true, within a
second he was on the dirt andhe climbed the heck out, climbed
up on that fence and I put myhand on his shoulder and he
still had the tears, his wholebody was still shaking, but he

(38:56):
was jacked and I told him I saidyou won the there.
You didn't stay on, but you won.
That was a huge battle of am Igonna do this or not?
So to be able to be up closeand capture that type of stuff.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Yeah, yeah, I love it , love it.
What do you prefer in regardsto the fence?

Speaker 1 (39:03):
shoot stands.
I like to shoot the shoots, shoot the shoots.
I like to shoot the shoots andI like to have people spread out
in the arena to shoot the wideangles every rodeoo I go to I
know people that go there.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
They're like come make the shoes, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Really, why is that Too intense, too much?
I want to be in the way, orwhat?
Because?

Speaker 2 (39:22):
you got to have your head in the swivel.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
You got to have your head in the swivel back there
for sure.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
You know I promote the heck out of the Western
lifestyle.
Yep, I just don't look the type.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Gotcha.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
The last thing I want is an old traditional yes sir,
and be like nah, or evenquestion, even though they know
I mean.
Well, I just you know, I go toNFR, I go running shoes.
I stay true, for sure I got my,you know Coros, absolutely, and
I got my.
You know corals, and I got myyeah, yeah, and the last thing I
want is an old traditional, sayhey, yeah or say anything

(39:58):
negative.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
That's beautiful of you to say, because authenticity
is huge in the westernlifestyle.
It's huge in rodeo and and and.
For you to say that it's just.
That's so much self-awarenesson your part, yeah beautiful.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Yeah, yeah, and I make sure that.
And a lot of people offer to goto the shoot.
You know, enter, have theminterview, yeah, but I I'd
rather do that on the fencesI'll be like hey, makes sense,
come over here, come over here.
But yeah, one day I'll go on theshoot but do the last thing I'm
gonna do is wear cowboy bootsthat aren't broken in.

(40:30):
Yep, hey, I can do trail shoesthat are broken in, for sure.
But you know, come to find out,a lot of the boys behind the
shoots were they do when you'reworking the shoot trail shoots.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Yeah, it's crazy, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
So I'm like dude, I can be that, but I've really
thought about commentating, yeah, and thought about doing that.
But uh, just getting my foot inthe door, yeah, and I'm pretty
sure if I talk to the rightperson I can.
But commentating or, you know, broadcasting, just yeah no,
we're back to.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
We got our, we got our pearl snaps, we got our long
sleeves and and, uh, you know Isaw that there are some
companies that want their brandout there and so they've
sponsored us and we we gotpatches that you know companies
that are sponsoring us that thatwant to get their name out
there and I'm not out there hust, and so they've sponsored us
and we we've got patches thatyou know companies that are
sponsoring us that that want toget their name out there and I'm
not out there hustling our realestate on our clothing.
but you know, if there's a brandthat's yeah, for sure, and so
we do dress the part when we'reback there and make sure we got

(41:22):
the you know our hat on to be.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
You got to look the right way for sure you do, just
out of the tradition, absolutely, you know it's honor and
respect to the sport.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
You know what I mean, yeah it really is.
And we've got some dudes that, like my younger son, let's say
he can't make it.
So my, my older son will bringa friend and I'll say, okay,
here's a camera, it's a reallynice camera is push this button
and keep it in this frame and ifyou get some footage I'll use
it right.
So that's our third cameramanand and it's we make sure here's
some gear, like you got to makesure you got your outlaw echo
shirt on and it's got thepatches on it.

(41:57):
And here's a hat like you got tolook the part because we
respect the sport, we respectthe culture.
You know what I mean.
And I won't send them to theshoots, but I'll put them on the
fence and you know, shoot whatyou can and get the footage that
you can.
And so we're bringing we'rebringing even more people to
rodeo that way.
You know friends that are neverbeen to a rodeo.
So here, man, put a cowboy haton.
Here's a camera, just hold itsteady and see if you can get
some footage for us, because meand my other son we're going to

(42:19):
get the footage we need.
But yeah, if we can add in somebonus stuff, it's great.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
I got you, I got you.
And people can't say there's notradition, because huge
tradition from the stands.
I'll say this one you canreally tell the traditional ones
to the new ones.
You know, viewers, when you'reat a regular rodeo and they
bring in BFO or bullfighting, you bet the traditions they step

(42:47):
away.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Right.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
The young folk and everybody else that are in it
just for the views and just forthe hype.
They're there, but you can tellby the traditionals yep,
they're out the door.
Man, they don't care about thatbullfighting, bfo, right stuff,
which man I love.
That's why I got excited.
Yeah, that's why I got to makegood video too.
Yeah right, yeah, yeah, yeahbut so people that question that

(43:10):
whole tradition?
You need to look up a littlebit around the side of that shoe
because definitely somesticklers.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Yeah, it's rich in tradition, for sure, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Yep, and then, case in point, we're going to the you
know whiskey festival, HamiltonWhiskey Festival, I mean the
tradition, green grass.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
They're the only place that has the green grass
correct and they're not going tochange that at all.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Right, greengrass?
They're the only place that hasthe greengrass correct and
they're not going to change thatat all.
Right Times are different whenthey do the.
You know Absolutely thebulldogging.
I mean yes, sir, yeah, comparedto the dirt, yep, three seconds
in the dirt, 14 seconds in thegrass.
Absolutely, yeah, absolutely.
So yeah, huge, huge, huge.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
So you love what you do, love it.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Okay, when you're on the road, yeah, what's.
And besides hanging out withyour kids, what's your go-to
meal?
Man, like, what do you do?
Do you bring stuff from home?

Speaker 1 (44:04):
I always say I'm going to, yeah, and you don't.
I'm going to eat healthy.
I'm going to bring some food.
It's going to be cheaperbecause you know it's expensive
lifestyle chasing this rodeoaround.
I'm going to eat my own.
No, I don't.
I mean I want to go to like wewent to Roosters this morning.
We're here in Pendleton.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
And it was like.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
I saw a big sign that had a big chicken on it.
It said Roosters Country Diner.
Well, we're doing breakfastthere, so I want to try to kind
in the culture of the area thatI'm at.
See so that I'm feeling exactlythe tradition of the area and
the rodeo and the committee.
Absolutely Tastes good.
I will not.
I don't do fast food joints, Idon't do chain restaurants.

(44:41):
You will not find me at aStarbucks.
I'm better off getting a Motel6 cup of coffee here, like we're
at today, than I would be goingto.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
Starbucks, you said it.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
That's who I am you know what I mean, absolutely
I'll just I'll get you know agas station cup of coffee before
I'll go to and, no offense, starbucks.
I'm not trying to get theStarbucks sponsorship, but and I
pretty much shot the chances ofthat happening but it's for me
it's submerging myself in theculture of the area that we're
in.
You know what I mean.
So it's the local restaurantsand then occasionally we'll do

(45:11):
like a VRBO and we'll get steaksand potatoes and the kids will,
you know, cook dinner and we'llhave a fire out back and you
know we'll kind of do atraditional thing like that.
But if it's non-made food, thenit's somewhere that's authentic
and authentic to that regionthat we're at.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
Okay, so you don't have to move or anything, kenzie
, but I got this one questionbefore I asked pops, okay, do
you and people are going to havea trip and people are going to
trip out because I'm going toask this question.
My, one of my stable questionsis do you eat peanut butter
jelly sandwiches?
Yes, how do you build or make apeanut butter jelly sandwich?

(45:50):
Because that's a hugedifference, now, huge difference
.
The more you get involved withthis, this, this question,
people will fight you to deathon making and building.
And then do you call it PBJ orpeanut butter jelly?
It do Trust me, troy, no, doubt, serious man, no doubt, and

(46:11):
when I don't ask this question,people flip.
But since there's anine-year-old who calls the
shots.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I got to ask her how do you make it?
Do you make it?

Speaker 3 (46:20):
No, I do not make it?

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Who makes it?
My mom, all right.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
So, but mom, mom knows the trick, because she's
fed you that for how many yearsnow.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
Nine About.
For how many years now?
Nine About to be ten?

Speaker 2 (46:31):
Okay, okay, but when did you start eating peanut
butter jelly sandwich, or do youcall it PBJ, peanut butter and
jelly?
There you go, okay.
So, since you can remember how,has mom made or built that
sandwich for you to your liking?
What?

Speaker 1 (46:48):
are her steps.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
She puts the pieces of bread down.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
And then she puts the peanut butter.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
One side or both sides.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
One side, all right.
And then the jelly on the otherside, and then she flips it
together.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Okay, does she cut the edges, the crust?
Are you a crust girl?

Speaker 3 (47:13):
I'm not a crust girl, but she doesn't cut them off?

Speaker 2 (47:16):
she doesn't.
So you go around and you bitethe.
Oh, you're one of those.
Now do you end up wearing thepeanut butter and jelly sandwich
on the side of your cheeks?
Not usually okay, but when it'sthat good you, you do.
Yeah, all right.
So other question what's theratio?
Is it more jelly to peanutbutter or you're more peanut

(47:37):
butter to jelly?

Speaker 3 (47:38):
More peanut butter.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Okay, crunchy or creamy.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Creamy.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
Okay, see, now you're getting it, she's getting it,
she's getting it.

Speaker 1 (47:46):
She's got it, she's got it.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
Okay, okay, all right .
But if you had to pick acheeseburger from McDonald's or
peanut butter jelly sandwich, which one would you pick?
Homemade peanut butter jellysandwich or McDonald's
cheeseburger, mcdonald'scheeseburger?
You would pick a McDonald'scheeseburger, I like
cheeseburgers better than peanutbutter and jelly.

(48:08):
But what if mom made you oneand put one in the cooler?
Which one would you pick?
Peanut butter and jelly.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
But what if?

Speaker 2 (48:15):
mom made you one and put one in the cooler.
Which one would you pick?
Peanut butter and jelly?
I knew it.
I knew it All right.
Well, thanks, kenzie.
Again, I had to ask thatquestion Now.
Do you eat peanut butter andjelly sandwiches?

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Not a lot.
No, sir, I'm more of a peanutbutter and honey.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Yeah, there's something about the jelly.
I yeah, there's something aboutthe jelly.
It's just I don't know if it'sthe texture or the chemical
makeup, I don't know what it is.
It kind of throws me.
So I like to just drizzle thehoney over the peanut butter,
personally.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Okay, and a lot more peanut butter.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, All right, all right All
right.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
When you say outlaw, I think of music.
Yeah, I think of music besidesjunior, yeah, who's?

Speaker 1 (48:55):
who's the original?

Speaker 2 (48:56):
man, I love merle haggard, that's funny how I love
him.

Speaker 1 (48:57):
David allen cole.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I like, Ilike to get gritty with it for
sure.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Okay, all right what's your take on this pop
country, man?
Because there's a lot of popcountry out there and I'll be
the first one to tell you I'mnot a fan.
Yeah, like tonight, yeah, notgonna be that much of a fan, but
I'm going, yeah, I'm going moreof the red dirt, but red dirt's
going pop.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Now I'm like, oh my goodness with the name ala
echoes and with the tradition.
My answer is probably gonnasurprise you, but I love it.
I'm good with it.
I love music.
If I like the way it sounds,I'm good with it.
You know there's a lot of jasonaldean, or there's even some
luke r it sounds.
I'm good with it.
You know there's a lot of jasonaldean, or there's even some
luke ryan that I'm good with.
Like there's some stuff thatI'm okay with.
I really am, if it makes mefeel good, and I'm.

(49:38):
I mean, I think morgan wallen'samazing.
He put some trap beat behindsome of his.
That's fine, you know, that'sfine.
I love his lyrics, I love theway his music makes me feel.
You know, I dance to it, I singto it, like it.
I can go from george jones tojason aldean.
I really can.
You know I can do that in onesitting, you know.
So tonight, who do you feel popcountry about tonight?

Speaker 2 (49:58):
cody johnson's not cody, that's a rodeo cowboy, but
the others the others.
Riley green, the right man, buthe's a stud dude.
There's not a lot of pop, soyou are excited about tonight.
But no, I was all, and neitheris ian munson he's not pop
country he's like wyoming it'sthat squeaky howly voice?
I get it.
Like trio, I get it my wife'slike, absolutely not no ian
munson, me and my daughter lovehim.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
But a little squeaky, a little high pitch, I get it.
I get it.
Yeah, that can turn somerevival, my daughter.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
I took her to go see them.
Yeah, and it's good, rock.
She's like I listen to thisbecause it's almost like dad
rock.
I'm like whoa, whoa, stop pumpthe brakes, kid, there's no way,
right, no, right, no one'sgonna be creed, you know what I
mean sure tree oak revival isnot like that, right, no man

(50:45):
it's just.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
I mean, I even like some of that dumb southern rap
concert.
You know, uh, rap country likethere.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
I just love music, love it so so me man, it has to
stay true.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Yeah, yeah, I mean if you tell me what I'm, I'm
putting hank jr on number one, yeah, number two and number
three.
Okay, that's, that's where I'mgoing to, and then I'm going
alan jackson, I'm going codyjohn, so you know, zach top, I'm
going traditional, like that'smy number one, but I'm not gonna
hate on anything else.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
I love it, I got you man, but I like a lot of people
listen the lot of people do.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
You listen, dude, I'm a hater I did it and a lot of
people are.
I totally understand that and Irespect that.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
But for me, you know, if I like the way it sounds and
coming out to speakers, I'mgood yeah, man, so I stay true,
like later on this month I'mseeing red clay strays for the
fourth time.
Nice, I've seen them twice invegas.
Always go to vegas to see them.
Yep, that's as many timesthey've been there you bet and
I've seen them in spokane.
I'm gonna see him in nampa.
I'm gonna go see him in vegasagain during the nfr yep.

(51:40):
But that kind of stuff it hasto have true meaning, like yeah,
and and that's why I askedabout outlaw.
I'm not all about the partying, like, I'll do that on the side,
but when I listen to music ithas to have that feel.
That for sure has to be youknow, red clay strays.
It has to be a little bit oftim mcgraw, because he always
talking about his daughter.
Yeah, you know what I mean Isaw him last year yeah, he's

(52:02):
changed a lot though.
Yeah, I like the old, you betthe old.
He played a lot of that yeahyeah, then I need to go see.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
We went to everybody.
Last year we had larry fleetand parker mccullum and zap top
and laney wilson and we saweverybody last year.
It was a great year for musicin the pacific northwest
phenomenal is it true thatlaney's on a zoonific?

Speaker 2 (52:21):
I don't know I don't know.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
She's great, though.
Her and he and munsey just cameout with a song.
It's fantastic kenzie and Iwere listening to it earlier
today.
Really good, I don't know ifshe is or not, but she's changed
before I was like telling mywife I was like we gotta go.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
She's like no, I'm like, but for real I want to go
like seriously now it's likeshe's like you want to go, I'm
like no right, they flopped ony'all.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Yes, sir, right, right.
Yeah, her and zach top werelast year together and his first
time playing a big show inwashington.
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
I like how professional zach is, I like how
young he is and he's juststicking to tradition.
He sure is, and there's acouple of people that are out
there that do it, you know.
But like emotion, you know.
I like shane smith and thesaints fantastic dude, you know
stuff like that just outside ofthat if it goes boozing and
drinking, I think the only songthat I actually enjoy that is

(53:13):
drinking is I love this bar bytoby key.
Yeah, yeah, and that's it forsure, and that's not really
drinking you know that's tellingthe atmosphere, for sure, yeah
yeah, yeah, outside of that, Ihate that beer for horses I hate
.
Yeah, don't.
I don't want to hear about it.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
Don't want to hear about sure you know, and I'm a
big fan of chris jansen.
I don't know if you know hismusic, but I've seen him three
or four times in the last yearand a half.
He's fantastic.
Okay, I'll check it out, checkhim out.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
I'll check it out.
But also like the local stuff.
Yeah, the smaller guys that aretrying to make it Absolutely
and that talk to you and shootthe breeze?

Speaker 1 (53:48):
yep, I do that, and that's what christian says yeah,
he had kinsey and my, my son,up on stage last year singing
with them.
You know that's what you'retalking about, kind of that.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
Yeah, down home, get to know you feel he's like hey,
come up here, you've beensinging my songs the whole time
brought her up and and uh, theysang with him and it was a
really cool experience for himyeah, and I remember you know
seeing red clay strays in alittle you know freaking little
music hall and now, dude, they're selling out for sure
amphitheaters, something thatyou were doing.

(54:18):
You're not selling amphitheatersbut, like you know, just a
quick growth, yeah, sure, quickgrowth, man, larger than life,
yeah, yeah.
Did you at first ever think itwas gonna get this big?
No I I didn't have an idea thisbig, but you know quick shot.
Dude like oh my god yes and no.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
Yes because there was that opening of okay, there's
not a lot of people doing thistype of content.
Yeah, but no, like you know, those are big numbers.
Like a 125 000 in the mind islike that's a, that's a large
number.
Yeah, so you don't.
You don't say what's going tohappen in eight months, that's
you know absolutely not.
Like there could be some growthhere and it could be steady
growth and you know, you bringthe right people in and they

(55:00):
enjoy what we're doing and wecan see some growth.
That's kind of the mindset whenyou get started.
But all of a sudden it's like, well, you wake up and 4 000
followers last night.
Like what?
yeah, that's all of a sudden,it's like this is actually going
pretty big and has thecapability to continue but when
starting, when you thought ofthis baby no, okay, nope,
absolutely not.
I didn't know that it would beas heavy rodeo promotional as it

(55:22):
was.
It was just, let's throw someup some some western style
content and see where this goes.
I got you know, me and my son.
Let's just let's see what.
Let's see what happens here,yeah.
And then, like said, we went toMontana, I was like, wait,
maybe our niche is going to bethese rodeo highlights,
promoting of rodeo individualsand of rodeos themselves.
Professional, too Professional, and we love it.
Not grainy, yeah, no, because Iused to edit a lot of videos of

(55:43):
my sons playing basketball andthat sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
So I took that mindset to okay with rodeo
highlights okay, you know, kenzie, you ever think you were
gonna get this big.
Yeah, right, do you like it?
Yeah, do you like tellingpeople about it at school?
Yeah, what's I mean?
Like, how do you tell people?
Do you tell?

Speaker 1 (56:04):
them like yeah, you tell anybody about it.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Yeah, yeah, they do.
It's crazy how these kids justpromote us, man, but we're, like
you know, not self-deprecating,but like, oh, we do this, but
then they're like yeah, my daddoes a podcast, or yeah, my dad
does and I try not to with thekids I try to make.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
Hey, this is about the contestants that we're
promoting.
Yeah, this isn't about us, it'snot about our page.
We got merch, you know.
We got hats and hoodies andshirts that we sell and it's
cool to see people wearing them, whatnot but it's not about the
outlaw echoes.
It's literally just a platformto promote other people, and so
that's why I like to talk to thekids about hey, you know, we're
not about.
Oh, we got these followers, wegot this that it's not it's,
it's about you know.

(56:40):
We got an opportunity toshowcase this amazing situation
that we're going to be involvedin.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
Yeah, you know what I mean, and I think a lot of
people see that too.
Like you don't have to putyourself out there, people see
you anyways.
Yeah, I mean it's crazy Like I,I all go in a place and they're
like oh, that's like cool, it'sjust a dude man, I just want to
have fun.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
I just it's funny you say that because that was one
of the reasons that my son and Istarted to go out in front as
well, because when we show upbehind the shoots, I want them
to be like oh, it's outlaw,echoes, cool, let's, let's.
Let's put a show on, let's putit, let's put the best ride on,
let's get after it.
As opposed to, who's this dude?
Yeah, you know what I mean.
And so if they see us, oh,they're coming to this rodeo.
This is what they look like.

(57:19):
Oh, that's them cool.
Yeah, we have our, our shirtsand whatnot, so you should be
able to kind of recognize that.
But if you can kind of facerecognition when we show up at
the rodeo, yeah, you're going tobe more comfortable and in your
element and we can get bettershots, better footage of you
relaxed and comfortable, becauseyou know who we are.
We've got a relationship.
Oh, it's out like we're goodwith them, we know them.
So that was one of the mainreasons for getting in front of

(57:39):
the camera a little bit as wellis so that the people that we go
to shoot they know who we arewhen we show up.
Yeah, you know, and and it's.
It's more of a a relaxedsituation for them.
It's like, who's this guysticking this camera a foot from
my face as I'm about to straponto this fire breathing dragon?
You know, like, dude, get thecamera.
It's not like, that's like okay, yeah, let's get this shot,
let's get this shot.
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (57:58):
you ever hang out afterwards, you bet man that's
as raw as it can get great timelike to when they clean up.
You know they under you knowundress, but like get the tape
unwrapped and everything else, get the chaps off and then
afterwards you know, you shootthe breeze with them with with
the soda you bet.

Speaker 1 (58:18):
And they're still riding the adrenaline.
They're still riding theadrenaline, you know, and
they're shaking and they'rehyped up.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
That's a different feel it is.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
That's one of the best feelings, that's what I
like to do and we feel that.
You know we're in the truckdriving home pumping the music
hyped up.
Yeah, you see that ride, youget that video.
It's pretty cool, but it's thewhole atmosphere.
We were up at Cedar Woolly onthe 3rd and we went out with
Ace's Wild Rodeo.
You know that's Mark andLynette McMillan.
They put on, all you know, 15different rodeos in the rodeo

(58:49):
world.
They're phenomenal people.
They've gotten bigger.
Incredible people.
They've gotten huge, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Especially over the past couple of years.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
We went clamming with them at Cedar Woolly in the
morning.
We all went out clamming andgot oysters.
Dougie was there, jc was thereand it was like a family feel.
We all just went out there andgot these clams and then after
the rodeo that night we wentover to charlie barker's trailer
and they had this big clam bakeand they had the oysters and

(59:16):
they had the bread and we alljust hung out and talked about
the rodeo and ate.
So it's just a the.
The culture and the atmosphereis.
It's a family feel and it'sincredible, and so it's exactly
what you're talking.
Yeah, they're hanging outafterwards, hanging out before,
like it's not just those eightseconds when they're riding it,
it's all of that.
The main reason I'm doing thisis to have my children in that

(59:37):
atmosphere.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
Yeah, I got you.
That's it.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
That's what it's about the greatest atmosphere is
, you can bring kids up.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
The best, absolutely, because they have morals.

Speaker 3 (59:44):
For sure, majority of them have morals, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
They're very respectful.

Speaker 1 (59:47):
Even if they're raising hell and cutting loose.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
Yeah, there's time and place.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
Absolutely Time and place.
It's still respectful.
It's still good people at heart.
You know what I mean, oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:56):
Who's the most up and coming?
That catches you.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
We've got a couple that you know we're really
heavily promoting and you knowgoing to wear the patch and put
the Outlaw Echoes brand on.
and you know, mason Stoller inthe barebacks yeah, we've been
hyping him up a lot because he'sout there crushing it and
that's going to be, in ouropinion, that's going to be a
multi-NFR cowboy right there.
The way he spurs, his mindset, his attitude, his zest for life,

(01:00:26):
the way he loves it, the way heloves being out there on the
road, and his humility, he haseverything that the brand
represents and he has everythingit takes to be.
You know, I think one of thetop end Cowboys in bareback is
phenomenal.
Mason Stoller is going to begoing to be the guy, and then
and then Lane Vaughn, who you'vehad on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
He's already been on it.
He's up there.
Dude, You've launched hiscareer.
That guy's nothing without you.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
And no, he's, uh, he's on, you know, on the bulls.
That's the other one that wehave a relationship with that we
try to promote as much aspossible, because that's another
kid, that's just a phenomenalyoung man who's going to be in
the nfr multiple times.
You can put a stamp on that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
He's, he's most unorthodox writer.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Yeah, because of his height, yep and he's kind of got
that clay guy and that pbr andlong lanky kind of a yeah you
know what I mean for sure, yousaid it, not anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
He's lanky man, but he's strong as hell he knows it
absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Yep, and you ever.
And the way he controls hisbody like you watch him ride a
bull, it's like this dude iscontrol.
He's controlling a 2 000 poundanimal with finesse.
You're never gonna you know outstrength or out muscle a bull,
but the way he's finessing itand his balance, it's incredible
to watch lane ride.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
It really is yeah, yeah, you ever see him
afterwards.
Fantastic, you say ever you eversee him before yeah, absolutely
having a great time loving life, bro, it's phenomenal you can
tell the people that are with itand are not and I'm putting
lane on, I put lane on before, like you know, put on blast, but

(01:01:50):
I'm not saying anything bad.
Yeah, he has his way Yep, heowns it, yep, and he conquers it
Absolutely.
You can tell people, if they'rein with him, in with Flynn,
they'll go along with it.
But then the people that aren'tdoing it, they separate
themselves.

Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
For sure Lane just has a good old time.
He's what he has to do to gethimself focused in his own way,
absolutely.
Yeah, man, lane, lane's, lane'sa good kid, but I think those
are, those are two that I thinkare are, you know, definitely up
and comers, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
I like, I like what he's done especially for him and
his name.
A lot of them they leave.
Yeah, I get it.
Yeah, but it's like gosh, whydid you have to leave?
But I did it, I did it, youknow.
But he comes back and yeah, eventually he'll he'll, he'll go
down there and stay down there.

Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
You know.
I mean he was up at, you know, grand coulee.
We got a great video of him upthere, like he's still around,
you know.
And then you got guys whoaren't from the circuit, like
you know, from the area you comein the circuit.
You know ty harris and mikemcginn from montana and the
steer wrestler and you know.
So you get guys popping in andout.
I think the good rich kids, gator and Josie, are definitely
up-and-comers from a ropingfamily.
Them some roping son of gunsright there.
I think they're both going tobe huge.

(01:02:57):
We got some serious talent inthe area that are going to go
far, in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
When's your next rodeo?
Not today.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
No, we got Lake Chelan next week.

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
The 18th and 19th of July and the 18th and 19th of
July.
And then about a week laterwe're doing Stateline Idaho.
For the first time ever it's aStateline racetrack.
They wanted to do a rodeo andMark McMillan's tight with them
and said hey, we'll bring ourshow on the road and we'll set
it up there.
So it's the first time ever.
So that's going to be reallycool, really excited about that
one.
And then we're taking someAugust off and just doing some

(01:03:29):
traveling.
We're just going to go be a fanat Ellensburg hang out for the
weekend see the parade, watchthe rodeo, just hang out with
the family, and my parents liketo go there, so we'll bring them
along with us, and so it's justmore spectator-type stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Yeah, that's prime, though August is prime dude.
I don't know how you're takingit off.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
I mean we'll pop in, we'll probably do Clalum and
Enumclaw and we'll do some localstuff, maybe get out to the
OMAX Stampede.
But as far as contracted rodeosand we're open, if Summer Rodeo
reaches out and says, hey, wewant you out there this weekend
and we got a little bit ofdonation money to get you there,
we'll go.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
Pretty sure as far as contracted.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Yeah, we've had four or five, six that we're kind of
in contract with, that are like, hey, come out and shoot this
and promote us and help us, andyou know we're more than happy
to and we love it, you know.
So we'll see what happens inAugust, but I get, we got a lot
of family stuff already planned.
It's going to be it's going tobe hard to wedge anything else
in there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Kids rodeos family stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
She jumps her horse all the time so we chase her all
around watching Kinsey.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
You're going to be a barrel racer, just stick with
jumping.
I'm not too sure yet.
No, wow, it's open to anythingright, yeah, you bet.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
Okay, we'll see where that goes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
All right, man.
So how do you think this went?
How do you feel?

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Anytime I get a chance to talk about rodeo and
the promotion of it and thepassion of video, I love it.
I love it, you know.
So I was looking forward togetting out and kind of getting,
because there is a kind of anodd situation of outlaw I mean,
oh, that's, you know, breakingthe law and against it, and so
you know, to be able to get outand and get that out and we have
it posted on our page.
You know, yeah, we've got,we've got it.
You know the picture that saysbasically exactly what that
outlaw to us is.
But not a lot of people seethey come on there and you know

(01:05:16):
it says in today's society, outlaws are the ones saying sir
and ma'am, the ones holdingthemselves accountable,
uninfluenced by the mainstream.
Living this way echoes out andchanges the lives of those
embrace it authentically.
So that's on our, our page.
But people don't read that.
They go to watch the Bullhighlights Closed-minded people.
Yeah, so to get the opportunityto come on and say here's what
Outlaw Echoes means to us andhere's what we're about and

(01:05:38):
here's who we're trying topromote and why we're doing it.
It's a phenomenal opportunity.
I just you really appreciate itand embrace it, man.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
Along with your production.
Does this fit in yourproduction?
Absolutely fit in yourproduction.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Absolutely the way this went for sure.
Absolutely, I mean, we'resitting spot on again.
I didn't know if we were goingto talk about this.
We're sitting in a motel six inpendleton, oregon.
Absolutely, it's right on brandfor outlaw echoes.
Absolutely, you know.
I mean this is, this is thegrittiness, the dirt.
I'm at my truck's out here, filthy with rodeo dirt all over
it and that's just.
You know, that's who we are allsummer.
Is that grittiness?
So we're sitting, like I said,in a, in a hotel room, I'm sorry

(01:06:12):
, motel room motel six.
You know talking rodeoabsolutely getting ready to go
to a country concert like thisis.
This is absolutely on brand.
So when you say, does this goalong with what?
We're about?
100 and I'm I'm excited to be apart of it.
Man, I appreciate it so muchand humbled by the opportunity,
honestly, I'm honored that youwanted to sit down.

Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
I'm honored that wiley's pushing this, you bet
you know I'm thankful of him, thankful of you, kenzie.
Thank you for allowing me tointerview you guys and you, you
know, being the champ that youare and answering these hard,
difficult questions, but prettycool questions, right, see, see,
absolutely see so, kenzie.
See, see, absolutely See so,kenzie, you got anything to say?

(01:06:52):
No, just let's get in the swimpool Right.

Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
Anything you want to add Dad.
No, man, just appreciate it.
You know, and if you'relistening to this and you have
not been to a rodeo, do it.
There's nothing I can say morethan absolutely just go check it
out.
You know the way the flag'shonored, the way the prayer
starts.
There's nothing like it, just gothere and say, well, I'm not
going to be accepted.
You will be accepted likeabsolutely, they're the most

(01:07:19):
loving, accepting people thereare and the the sport doesn't
get enough positive promotion,yeah.
And so any opportunity I get tosay, get out to your local
rodeo, like absolutely, go checkthis stuff out, you'll.
You'll leave with a new lovefor the sport.
I can almost guarantee it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Okay, yep, yep, yep, and I would like to add a lot of
people blame or give the creditto Yellowstone.
Sure, bs, yellowstone did notgrow this sport.
Right, you know what grew thissport, man?
Man, I tell you he's gottenbigger than ever.

(01:07:55):
Is the, the non-bs, thepolitical yep, nonsense that's
going around.
They have stayed true, yep, stay true.
And beginning to take nameswith that right, you know
authenticity, and I think that'swhat and believe, to this day
has grown that sport?
For sure, and one of the bigones.
They're the ones that said toCOVID forget it, you bet and
fought it and guess what?
Dude, they're havingskyrocketing numbers and it's

(01:08:19):
grown Like.
I don't want to bring that up.
I remember last time I putCOVID on, even mentioned that
word, I got docked by Spotifyand Apple.
Man, yeah, do they do that?

Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
Sure, but I don't know now.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Right, because now it's a farce.
But we won't go there, but youknow what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
But I still believe the way they handled themselves
in and outside of that yep eradude, it's made them bigger than
ever no, I, I couldn't agreemore the, the mindset, the
steadfast and the authenticity,oh yeah, of the western
lifestyle and, in particular, the, the rodeo community, yeah,
and how welcoming they are.
It's unbelievable, it'ssomething like I've never seen

(01:08:56):
before.
And just to be a small part ofthat and, more importantly, a
small part in promoting that andpromoting the ideas, the
lifestyle of the Western mindsetand the rodeo mindset, the
rodeo tradition, the flag, theprayer, the family, the sir

(01:09:17):
ma'am, the kindness, it's justincredible to be a part of it
and I'm honored by it.
Yeah, so until next time, untilnext time.
My man Can't wait, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
I appreciate your big time.
Thank you so much, Tor.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
Thanks, buddy Bye.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
