Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hey, I'm Lemon.
I am just like you, sisterfriend.
Talk about stepping into thatoverflow that God has for us by
becoming those ultimate Proverbs31 women.
Hey, I'm Lemon.
I am just like you, sisterfriend.
I knew God had something morein store for me, but I couldn't
see a way out of the laundrypiles and, frankly, I resented
that.
Proverbs 31 woman.
How was I going to live up tothe hype?
(00:38):
That is until I found out howto really step into becoming
this Proverbs 31 woman throughleadership development.
In this podcast you're going tofind financial freedom,
leadership, growth andmotivation so you'll be able to
do all the things God has calledyou to do with ease and really
step into that land of milk andhoney.
(00:59):
Welcome back to the Milk andHoney podcast.
I'm your host, Lemon Price, andtoday I have Rusty Roberts and
Sean Murphy.
They are the founders of PsalmsPath Consulting and they help
Christian entrepreneurs achievemore peace and profit in their
business through transformativebusiness coaching that has its
roots in scripture.
They integrate a real businessstrategy with everlasting
biblical principles.
(01:19):
They have over 30 years ofexperience.
Through just the work that theydo, they have inspired over
150,000 people to embrace theirdivine path, achieving success
and fulfillment by aligningtheir work in spiritual truths
and community engagement.
So just thank you for beinghere, gentlemen, I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
I'm excited, so I
would love for you guys Tell me
like a little bit aboutyourselves and how you guys even
connected.
Are you lifelong besties or isthis new?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Sean created a viral
post, or post, a year and a half
ago 2022.
Yeah, and we met each otherthrough that post.
He had put out an offer.
Why don't you tell them?
Put it on the up.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
So I put out an offer
.
I was stepping into the onlinespace for the first time after
running several different gymmodels over the past 20 years
and after COVID happened, I waslike, okay, we're going to do
something different.
I'm going to help other peoplein online space.
He answered us when I jumpedinto it and I was going to help
them out with their marketingand whatnot.
So I put out this little reelfive Bible scriptures to help
(02:19):
you with your business.
And along comes this fellow andhe books a phone call with me.
And here I am, thinking it'sgoing to be a sales call, and
the first words out of thisknucklehead's mouth is my name
is Rusty and I don't need yourhelp.
Why did you book this call withme, right?
He just shared his heart.
I love what you're doing inspace.
I love your heart for God, Ilove the scriptures that you're
(02:40):
sharing and I just wanted to getto know you.
And I tell you that was really ablessing intervention, that was
a divine meeting that Godpaired us up, because a
30-minute book call turned intoa three-hour conversation and we
have been brothers in Christever since and we just started
talking about the Lord, whathe's done for each of us, what
he's done businesses, what he'sdone personal lives and I got to
(03:02):
tell you we're just like okay, like we're seeing so so many
similarities here that we justwant to bring so much of this
message to other people, especially people who are lost
in there.
They don't know what theirpurpose is, they're not really
sure where God is in their lives.
Rusty shared with me somethingvery powerful that I'm going to
turn it over and let him indulgeyour listeners with, and it's
(03:23):
called Psalmlemn's Path, and hereally discipled this over me.
He said I see you doing this.
You probably don't even realizeit.
And when he discipled it overme, I was like dude, this is
good stuff, this is good stuff.
I wrote it on my whiteboard andI've been following ever since,
and new doors of opportunityhave just opened up.
One of these opportunities isbeing on podcasts such as yours.
So, rusty, I want you to sharePsalm's Path and really what it
(03:46):
means for everybody here.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, I didn't
realize Psalm's Path.
It took years for it to comeinto full focus for me, but I
took scripture right out of theBible and I built real medical
with it.
I'm not a doctor.
I quit nursing school before Istarted.
I've never owned a lemonadestand, I've never had a brick
(04:09):
and mortar of any kind, but theLord had laid it on my heart
that you're going to create anintegrative oncology functional
medicine clinic in Scottsdale,arizona.
I'm the son of a stage fourcancer survivor so I had some
type of idea in the realm.
I was a advocate for many yearsfor cancer patients, as my mom
(04:30):
had a miraculous healing fromstage four end-of-life
non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and westarted sharing her story on the
internet.
We found over the course ofabout 10 years, most cancer
patients that went to Mexico andwe were helping people find
Mexico turns out most 8 out of10 didn't want to go there and
(04:52):
their family didn't want them togo there.
So, as businessmen and havingsome acumen that the Lord was
like you're going to open up aclinic in Scottsdale so in 2019,
we did.
You're going to open up aclinic in Scottsdale so in 2019,
we did.
And it's a wonderful place ofhealing and it's growing.
We're taking a possession of a16,000 square foot facility
that's being custom made for usnow and be open about January.
(05:17):
But the purpose for me sharingall of that is not so we can say
, hey, rusty, right, it's agreat place of healing.
God forbid, anybody has canceror knows someone with cancer,
reach out to Brio Medical.
We have the top clinicians inthe country.
It's absolutely phenomenal.
But it's the scripture that'smost important and I had found
(05:42):
in 2017, a scripture jumped outoff of the page Psalm 37, verse
4, delight also in the Lord andhe'll give you the desires of
your heart.
I found out in other scripturein my studies that in James,
chapter 4, verses 1 through 3,our desires get people killed.
(06:02):
These are horrible things tohave.
These desires start wars andfights among us.
So why would the Lord give usthe desires of our heart if they
go and get people killed?
And the answer is they're notordinary desires.
These are not desires that wecan concoct on our own behalf.
These are what we callrighteous desires, because in
(06:23):
Isaiah 54, verse 17,.
The Lord says and theirrighteousness comes from me,
says the Lord, righteous desiresare what he wants to give us.
This is a game changer.
This changes everything.
Every Christian should reachout and want this.
Not only does the Lord say hewants to give them to us, he
(06:45):
guarantees the results.
In Psalm 37, verse 5, he sayswhen you trust the Lord and
commit your way to Him, he willbring it to pass.
So this righteous desire thathe wants for you, he wants to
make it your reality.
Now it turns out.
Psalm's path, which is Psalm 37,verses 1 through 8, is an
(07:09):
invitation to co-createrighteous desires with the Lord.
It's absolutely.
And the Lord wants to equip us,just like he did the disciples
back in the day when Jesus wasthere.
He wants to elevate us.
We know that righteous desiresare not normal, because when you
(07:30):
read in Ephesians 3.23, ittalks about how they're bigger
than you think and more than youask for, according to His
riches, not our own.
So righteous desires are biggerthan what we could make in our
own human capabilities, and Ioffer my life as an example,
because I put all of this to thetest and the Lord laid it all
(07:55):
out and made everything in mylife.
The Scriptures jump right offthe page and became my life and
became my life.
So Psalm 37, verse 4, is thebeginning of invitation to
co-create, which means that youand I that take a hold of this
(08:21):
wonderful opportunity haveresponsibilities.
He's not going to do it.
He will do it for you, but he'snot going to do it without your
participation.
He doesn't rue us.
So when you read Psalm 37,verse 3, 4, and 5, you see what
the Lord says that he wants youto do.
It has nothing to do with yourcollege education, what color or
race or gender or whatcontinent you were born on.
(08:44):
None of this matters.
What does matter is that youtrust him.
He wants you to do good, whichis, display good fruits of the
Spirit.
He wants you to dwell in theland.
This is about dwelling upon himmorning and night, right, to
think about him.
Also, feed on his faithfulness.
(09:06):
That's because you got to gettapped into scripture.
You got to be reading his wordon a daily basis.
Then he says delight.
Delight really means enjoy him.
Enjoy that time with him, right, enjoy him.
What a wonderful thing that weare given.
No one should pass thisopportunity up to actually enjoy
(09:27):
a relationship with the Creatorof the universe through Jesus
Christ.
Take a hold of what we've beengiven Everyone.
Don't miss that opportunity, don't miss that invitation.
Then, in verse 5, commit yourway and trust in Him.
When you do those things, he'sgoing to give you a desire.
When you do those things, he'sgoing to give you a desire.
It's going to be bigger thanyou think, more than you asked
for, and he's going to make ityour reality.
(09:50):
You'll find in John, chapter 15, verse 7 and 8, this comes
really into full fortition, asthe Lord tells us why he does
this bait.
It's bait, remember.
Jesus is only making fishers ofmen.
Fishermen don't Bait.
It's bait.
Remember Jesus is only goodfishers of men.
Fishermen don't go without.
(10:14):
That's bait.
What is this bait?
He's promising to give yousomething that you're going to
really want.
In return, he's going to getsomething he wants from you, and
that's a disciple.
And he tells us that in John, chapter 15, verse 7 and 8, you
could ask anything you desire tobe done for you.
By this you'll show good fruit, right, our Father's glorified,
(10:34):
and you show yourself whereJesus decided.
So what a wonderful opportunitywe've been given.
So, sean and I have taken uponourselves.
I've written a book.
It's in production right now.
It should be out, hopefully inthe fall, called Psalms Path,
but we also offer this as acourse.
We're putting it together now.
(10:56):
We'll have it on PsalmsPathcomshortly.
It's really designed to takeanyone who's looking for their
higher purpose, no matter whatit may be, and bring it into
reality.
This desire that the Lord hasfor you.
He has it picked out,custom-made for each and every
(11:19):
one of His children, right, eachand every one, custom-made by
the Creator of the universe, just waiting for you to reach
out and accept it.
What a wonderful gift the Lordhas given us.
And the scriptures prove it.
And we know that you'll begetting answers to your prayers
because in 1 Corinthians 1.20, 2Corinthians 1.20, where it says
(11:43):
all the promises of God are yesand amen, right, all of them.
So for those brothers andsisters that we have out there
that don't get answers to theirprayers, it's because they don't
know how to live in the Lord'spromises.
When they do, all of theirprayers will be answered with a
yes.
What a wonderful thing.
(12:03):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (12:06):
I want to hear from
Lynn.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
I think you just got
lit on.
I can touch you all day long.
What do you got, lynn, and whatdo you think?
Speaker 1 (12:14):
No, I love this so
much because I think I hear all
the time from people that, ohGod doesn't, it's better to be
humble and he's not going togive you things.
There has to be suffering.
There are the only things thatyou have to have in order to be
impactful, and I don't thinkthat's necessarily true.
Right, like I love that yousaid it's a yes and amen.
I love that you talked aboutthis righteous desire.
(12:36):
Right, because he's not goingto give me like sinful desires.
Right, because I don't know, let me give you those desires
that are sinful.
It's the righteous desire andjust this big shift and there's
so much I want to talk about.
I love this conversation abouthe's going to give you desires
that are bigger than yourself.
That's been very true in myexperience where I've had I
(12:57):
remember last year we werechurch my church funds our local
backpack buddies ministry infull every year in one service
and I remember sitting therelast year and all of a sudden I
got the feeling like my businessneeds to match my church's
donation because of the economythis ministry has to fund in
full and I'm sitting here.
I'm like there's no way that Igot that, but my husband and my
(13:19):
10-year-old at the same time gotthe same thing.
But for me they're like Mom, Ithink this is what you're
supposed to do.
That is so much bigger than Icould ever want or do and I'm
like, but yeah, but that's myheart, that's my passion and
that's a righteous desire that Ihave.
And, god, let me take thissmall thing that you thought you
could do and expand upon itexponentially and give you
(13:44):
something a whole lot bigger andbe a just oh, I just love this
conversation already.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
That's the key right
there, lemon.
The key is so many times, whenwe look at our lives and we look
at what is God calling me to do, we can think on a big, grand
scale and we're like this isnever going to get done.
But I would submit to you and Iwould submit to anybody
listening, that our smallest ofactions, god, will turn into the
biggest of miracles, and I knowthat to be true with how me and
(14:09):
Rusty met when I just steppedon that life space and it's real
.
So I wasn't even able to followit, keep up with the comments
or the shares or any of that, because looking at my phone was
like blinding me for seven days, minding me for seven days.
So in the background, I'm sick,I need to be working right now,
I need to be doing more and Ican't do anything because my
(14:29):
head is buried in a pillow.
This video has gone viral inthe background.
I don't even know it.
So the next time I look at it,I went from 2,000 followers to
35,000 and it kept growing andit went well over 100,000 new
followers in 28 days.
Why?
Just one simple action ofstepping out of obedience,
stepping out of faith, and thenput it in God's hands and then
let him multiply it.
(14:50):
We know that God is amultiplier.
We know he's the greatestmathematician out there.
His first command was befruitful and multiply.
So when we put it in his hands,he will do the work.
This is why we want to trust inhim.
This is why we want to commitour ways to him.
This is why we want to befaithful to him.
I love what Psalms chapter onetalks about.
We will be like a tree plantedby the streams of water and
(15:12):
everything.
That tree will prosper, it willweather the storms, it'll
always produce good fruit.
Because why?
Because we're feeding on hisfaithfulness, because we're
rooted in him.
Because we're feeding on hisfaithfulness because we're
rooted in him and that's whatJesus says again in John,
chapter 15 is when you remain inme and my words remain in you,
I am divine.
I am divine If you remain in meand my words remain in you.
(15:35):
Ask whatever you desire and itwill be done for you.
It'll be given to you.
But apart from me, you will benothing.
You could do nothing.
So let's remain in the goodword.
Let's remain faithful in ourlord and savior.
Let's lean on his promises, let's lean on his precepts.
I I submit to you that god isabout just a few things.
(15:55):
He's about his promises, he'sabout his principles and he's
about his people, and he's notgoing to break a single one of
them.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Never does.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Never does.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
It's important that
we understand that the glory of
the Lord is to work through usand the Lord doesn't cut corners
.
He doesn't.
He wants to do amazing things.
He doesn't bring down theangels to do all of this work
for us.
He wants us to do it and he'scalled everyone.
You're right, we all have thesame mandate.
We all have the same higherpurpose, that's to be disciples
(16:35):
who make disciples.
So if anyone who's I don't knowwhat my higher calling is,
because you haven't been payingattention, in fact, in Matthew
22, 29,.
It is the epicenter of any andevery thing that goes wrong in
our life.
Any wall you can't get over orthrough, or if you don't know
your higher purpose or calling.
(16:56):
Matthew 22, 29 is what tells uswhy.
Jesus is having a conversationwith the Sadducees at the time.
So he's directing his speech tothem and he says you're in
error because you don't know theScriptures nor the power of God
.
So if you're having some kindof problem or it could be
(17:18):
anything whether you don't knowyour higher calling or
something's going wrong in yourlife, it's because you don't
know the scriptures.
Jesus is promising that if youknow the scriptures you'll see
the power of God.
So, this mountain you can't getover, you'll flatten it.
This gorge that you can't cross, he'll bring it together right.
The sea you can't get through,he'll part it for you.
(17:41):
He'll make a way.
He's the way maker.
But we must open up our Biblesand know the scripture.
Now, the problem that we seewith people is okay, I have my
Bible, now what Right?
What scripture is it that I'msupposed to be reading?
And they can get lost.
(18:03):
They either don't know what toread or, when they do read it,
they don't know what it.
Yeah, this is what Psalm's pathwas all about.
It's some of the most lifetransforming scriptures in the
Bible.
Outside of our thank you, lord, our salvation, did they ever
tell you what the new life was?
Speaker 1 (18:24):
No, of course they
don't.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
No, they don't.
And it's just this go and be agood Christian, right?
No, that's not what the Lordsaid.
So Psalm's path is laser, focused, life transforming
scriptures that are all aboutwhat that new life is, and our
churches are not doing ourbrothers and sisters a service
(18:48):
at all.
We found that 89% of mostchurchgoers don't know what
their higher calling is.
That means our churches arefailing us, and so we're
stepping in and doing our part, just like you.
You're doing your part to bringthat to our brothers and
sisters.
Hey, here's what the Lord isoffering.
(19:08):
What we're finding is that mostpeople don't live in godly
freedom in every aspect of theirlife, whether it's their
mortgage or money should I saymoney, or relationships.
They're struggling, and if youdon't know what it means to have
godly freedom in a relationship, let's take that for an example
.
It means that you have to spendtime working on godly freedom.
(19:33):
No, you don't.
I've been married 31 years.
We don't.
Our marriage isn't work.
It's not, it's a relationship,and my wife and I enjoy
worshiping our father and havinga relationship together.
We don't work at our marriage, our finances.
Sure, there's good times andbad times, there's ebbs and
flows, but we live in godlyfreedom in our finances.
(19:57):
I don't have to worry if themortgage is going to get paid.
I know it's going to get paid.
I know these things are goingto be taken care of.
My relationships with mychildren.
They're not trained, so doesthat make sense?
You know that most of ourbrothers and sisters are not
walking in godly freedom, andhere's why they don't know their
(20:17):
identity.
Why did Jesus say you must beborn again?
This is a big one.
When you're born, you have anidentity.
We're born into their home andthey give us our identity.
But when you're born again, youhave a new identity, and people
(20:37):
don't know how to go and claimthat.
It comes out of the book of Luke19, verse 11 through 26.
It's the parable of the minutes, and this is where Jesus,
between Palm Sunday and actuallygoing to the cross, he senses
that hey, they're going to wantto make him king.
Right, he's.
Hey, I got to put a stop tothat.
(20:58):
So he tells them this parable.
But this parable is so profound.
It's telling us exactly who weare as children of God here on
this planet, and whenever thelife everlasting comes into play
in His kingdom, he tells uswhat that's like too.
What is it?
(21:19):
The parable of the men is, inshort, synopsis, and as in short
synopsis, a noble man gives hisservants a, probably in today's
, maybe, a million dollars or soworth of money to go and invest
.
Right, one invested it, turnedit into 10.
No-transcript the one thatturned one into ten.
(21:42):
Good, well-done night-faithfulservant.
Be in charge of ten cities.
The one with five.
Be in charge of five cities, the one who buried it.
You're a wicked servant, right?
So here we are.
What is the minutes?
What does it represent?
It represents the Lord's HolySpirit that he gives you.
He gives you this wonderful, amazing gift of his Holy Spirit.
(22:06):
A portion of that we aresupposed to go and invest, go to
work right and then build it.
And when they put it to work, the Lord gives you more.
Well, what was it?
Elijah and Elisha?
Speaker 3 (22:21):
I always get the two
mixed up.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
One says ask me what
you want and he said I want a
double portion of your spirit.
Why?
Because he knew the Holy Spiritwas the most valuable thing on
the earth.
He knew it.
What are we supposed to bedoing here, lemon?
We're supposed to be taking theportion of the spirit that the
Lord has given.
Put it to work.
(22:43):
If you don't have a startingpoint, the Lord offers you that
Enjoy a real relationship withme and I'll give you a righteous
desire and I'll make it yourreality.
Well, you're guaranteed to wantit and you're guaranteed to get
it right.
This is an incredible offer, and when you're working and
(23:06):
living out that righteous desire, the Lord is going to elevate
you so that you change the worldaround you.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
This is our higher
call.
This is our higher purpose.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
It turns out there's
five criteria to a righteous
desire, so that people canactually test it.
Because in 1 Thessalonians 5,the Scripture tells us test all
things, hold fast what is good.
When you have a desire, it'sbest that you know how to test
it, to know that it is arighteous desire.
(23:38):
So for those people who enrollin our course or acquire the
book, give them those fivecriteria Absolute, and they'll
know without a shadow of a doubthey, this is a righteous desire
the Lord has given me andtherefore the answer is yes and
amen.
I will get it if I just do whathe tells me to do.
(23:59):
One of them is don't fret.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
I love this and y'all
I will link to everything in
the show notes for you.
But I love this conversationand I'm glad you brought up the
church.
I feel like the church as awhole right the big C church is
failing believers in a lot ofareas and I'm seeing a lot of
people who are stepping out inreally big callings and God is
elevating them in these reallybig ways because they're
(24:23):
bringing some truth that I feellike churches are not sharing
anymore.
I would love kind of youropinion on maybe why the church
is.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
We do have an opinion
.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I love opinions.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
It appears that the
church is interested in their
growth, not yours.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
That was Billy Graham
.
Billy Graham said anevangelical movement will be in
the marketplace.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
That is really funny.
My friend, michelle Schaefershe had this just downloaded
into her spirit a couple ofyears ago that there would be a
big revival and that it wouldcome through marketplace
ministry and that women would bea big proponent of it.
And I was like I love it andthat's the work she's doing.
And so I was like it's supercool to see, I think, the way
the Lord is just hey, it's timenow, like we're ready for some
(25:08):
next level conversation.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Yeah, it's totally
given us authority and tools
that we never had before, andthe reason the Lord wants to
elevate, the reason theserighteous desires are bigger
than you think, more than yet,is because the Lord wants to
elevate you.
This is what we teach in ourcourse.
You are supposed to increaseyour influence, absolutely
(25:31):
unequivocally.
Each and every Christian issupposed to increase their
influence, and the internetallows us to do that.
Look, you're a prime example ofthat.
Right, why are we supposed toincrease our influence?
It's so that we can train otherdisciples.
Right, when you look into theScriptures, people were
following disciples.
(25:53):
Why?
Because they were able to raisethe dead, cast out demons, make
the blind see Jesus placedinside of them amazing gifts and
people were drawn to them.
We have the same Holy Spirit, and Jesus didn't stutter.
He said you'll be able to dothese things and more, because
I'm going to send you a helper.
(26:13):
This is no longer just aninvitation, this is an
obligation, and he's not goingto ill-equip us, and the fact
that our churches have not beenabsolutely been huge advocates
for this is where they'refailing.
They need to be building eachand every person to go out there
(26:34):
and be a disciple who'selevated, draw their lives,
their very lives, draw people tothem and they make more
disciples.
But it does appear thatchurches are more interested in
their growth than yours, and Ithink that's where they're
failing.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
I love this
conversation because I agree
wholeheartedly and I love thatyou said that the Lord does want
to elevate you.
That has been 100% been myexperience.
The podcast wasn't somethingthat I actually wanted to do.
God and I argued about thispodcast.
Yes, people, you can argue withthe Lord.
I did.
It didn't.
Obviously it didn't go in myyeah, it didn't go the way that
(27:13):
you know David Moe.
Right, obviously, I didn't winthe argument because I started
the podcast, but I had one in2018.
And I've said this before Don'tGoogle it, you won't find it.
It was the worst podcast everon the internet.
It's been scrubbed from theinternet as best I can.
It was awful, and so I was likeI'm not going to do this again.
But I was in such a differentplace with my faith that when I
(27:35):
started the podcast, within acouple of months, we had the
Forbes feature before we evenhit our first year on the
podcast, and I I'm like I got totalk about Jesus and Forbes.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Dude, you've been
walking some path, even though
you may not have even realized.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
See now, I know, I
love it, but what?
Speaker 2 (27:54):
do you do when people
are like that's really
prosperity gospel of you?
Agreed, and here's my answer tothat.
This is prosperity gospel, 100%, but it's actually real
prosperity gospel.
This isn't like Joel Osteen, this is actually the Lord's plan
, and he does want us to prosper.
He wants people to be drawn toour lives.
He wants us to be special.
(28:16):
Right, wouldn't we want ourkids to be special?
Absolutely so.
I've been asked that before.
It actually sounds likeprosperity gospel and the answer
is you bet it is, but to what?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
end.
That's a missing component.
Prosperity, gospel, to what end?
To bring honor and glory to ourFather in heaven, showing
yourself to be a disciple.
Those two components are notthere.
Forget about it.
Then you are stepping out ofplace.
Now you are maybe stepping intothe greed and the prosperity
that goes the other direction.
And what's in it for me?
No, what's in it for our Fatherin heaven?
(28:50):
What's in it for others?
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Yeah, Remember, we're
not talking about fleshly
desire.
So when someone is normallytalking about prosperity gospel,
they're talking aboutflourishing and fleshly desires.
Did that glorify the Lord Amid?
But did I get a big fat bankaccount?
Do I have a nice car?
These are all fleshly thingsand the Lord's saying that when
(29:14):
we pray about these things,we're praying amiss, which means
you're praying inappropriateprayers and therefore, therefore
, he just ignores them.
But when we start chasingrighteous desires, the things
that the Lord wants to say yesto, yes and amen, you will get
yes and you will be given anamen to it and, yes, you will
(29:36):
prosper.
It's not prosperity gospel inthe sense of just fleshly
desires.
No, this is true prosperitygospel that the Lord wanted for
each and every one of hischildren, for us to be elevated
disciples lacking nothing, walking in godly freedom in
every aspect of our lives, pouring ourselves out to others
(29:58):
as a drink offering and showingourselves as disciples of the
Lord.
That's actual, real prosperitygospel and that's why we wrote
Psalm's path.
It was actually King David thatwrote it early, right, I just
happened to recognize the Lordjust laid it on the heart.
Words jump off of the page andI'm like I'm going to pin them
to the mat, so to speak, on that.
(30:18):
And I started asking him bysaying I don't know what I want,
Would you speak on that?
And I started asking him bysaying I don't know what I want,
Would you give me a want?
And I prayed that for about twoyears and when the time was
right, the Lord laid it in.
I knew exactly what I wanted.
I said I know what I want.
I'm going to go build thisclinic.
And I did.
(30:38):
We're against formidableopposition.
No one thought I could do it.
They thought I was crazy andthe only ones who believed me
were the ones that.
But I'm paying them to believeme.
They still work with me today.
My naysayers saidcongratulations, I didn't know
you could do it.
Guess what?
That is all written right inthe scriptures.
(31:00):
Written right in the scriptures.
I walked each and every one ofthose scriptures so that I could
be a living testimony today tosay go, take him for his word.
He will do these things for youand he tells you what to expect
along the way and what heexpects from you and he
guarantees you to make this yourreality.
(31:21):
It is absolutely incredible.
Each and every one of yourlisteners.
I thank you for allowing us tobe here to share this with you.
I would encourage them toconnect with us, because what do
we do?
This course is 27 bucks, right,we're giving it away.
We did not make it unobtainable.
The Lord said I remember asking.
(31:41):
I was having a conversationwith him.
I'm like what do you?
Speaker 1 (31:45):
want from me.
What do you?
Speaker 2 (31:46):
want from me.
He says I want growth.
Go back here Every time theHoly Spirit speaks.
It's congruent with whatever'sin his he wants us to multiply
Be fruitful and multiply right, make more disciples.
So, yes, we do offer a verysimple course that explains
Psalm's path and what righteousdesires are, how to identify
(32:10):
them.
So what the five criteria are, what your responsibilities are
as a co-creator Because, yes,the Lord does want to co-create
with us.
He manifests on your behalf, hewill bring people into your
life, he will orchestrate thecircumstances and bring this
wonderful righteous desire intoyour life.
(32:31):
And then guess what?
Once you obtain that one, he'llgive you more, and it's not
just one, it's over and overagain, over and over again.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
It does say desires
of the heart, desires I love
that we I feel I could do awhole episode later on just like
linguistic theft and how, likeculture and the big c church and
things have taken theseconcepts and these words and
changed them and manipulatedthem, where you're not actually
getting real biblical truth.
Because I feel like we'vetouched on that a lot and I love
(33:03):
, love it.
And I also love that you saidyou prayed about this for two
solid years.
It didn't happen overnight.
You didn't just like wake up.
You're like I'm gonna prayabout this and tomorrow.
Now I have this desire and mywhole life is simple and a
cakewalk, because I think that'swhat people expect to just
going to show up like a genieand wave a magic wand and
everything's going to be fine.
That's not.
(33:27):
I really like that.
You said this because there issome waiting sometimes and there
is things you've got to walkthrough, like it is not all
sunshine and rainbows.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
I'll touch on that
real quick, because there might
be someone listening today who'syou don't understand my
circumstance.
I'm in pain right now, I'mgoing through the fire, and I'll
say to that person you're rightwhere God needs you to be,
because he is going to take asituation that you are in and he
could turn that to a greaterpurpose.
We find this in Romans I thinkit's 828, for everybody, that
(33:53):
the Lord turns all things togood according to his purpose,
to those who love him.
Those are key components there,right?
So this is what Psalm is allabout is loving him, spending
time with him, and then he givesus the delight to my heart.
So, with that said, turn yourpain to your purpose.
This is something I had to gothrough.
(34:14):
I was someone who hated my lifeso much that I tried to end it
in 2017.
And it was all due to just awhirlwind of stuff that happened
in my life.
Right, I'm not going to go intothat, but what I would say is
today I serve a purpose becauseof my pain and what I went
through, and so what I wouldoffer the person today is stop
(34:34):
focusing so much on yoursituation, stop focusing so much
on your circumstances, stopfocusing so much on your pain
and where you're at, but insteadstart looking at what is god's
purpose for me?
On the other side of this, I'llgive you this clue the person
that you are most equipped tohelp or to serve.
Because, first, timothy 410says each one should use
(34:56):
whatever gift they have receivedto serve others.
Okay, we all have a gift, weall have a purpose, we all have
these things, but the personyou're most qualified to help is
a person that you have alreadyovercome.
Are you standing on your storytoday?
Have you overcome a trial?
Have you overcome a challenge?
Have you overcome alcoholism, drug use, pornography, being
(35:17):
overweight, whatever?
You can use that to leverageyour story, your testimony, to
step onto your purpose, to serveothers, bring in glory and
honor to our Father in heaven, and also to show yourself as
your disciple.
I would say tap into these threethings.
We know that we're called tostewardship, so tap into these
three things in your stewardship.
Tap into your time.
(35:38):
How are you spending your time?
Are you spending time with theLord?
Are you trusting in Him more?
Number two look at your talents.
What are the gifts God hasgiven you?
What are the skills that he'sgiven you?
What are those things that he'sgiven you.
And number three what is yourtestimonial?
A lot of people say, tap intoyour treasures.
I say tap into your testimonial, tap into your story.
Paul did it.
(35:59):
He shared his testimony overand over again.
You could find it in Acts, youcould find it in his letters.
So tap into those three things.
You'll discover your purpose, you'll discover what God wants
for you and again you'll stopfocusing so much on your pain
and your circumstances and youwill see the light at the end of
the tunnel and you can startmoving forward towards it.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
I love this.
Okay, we could be here all day.
I know that we could all day.
I know that we could.
This is so good.
Okay, I'm going to have to haveyou guys back for sure, because
I literally was taking noteswhile you guys were talking, and
I will when I edit and do allof the things, because this was
just so phenomenal.
You both are phenomenal.
I just want to thank you bothfor your service to the country,
(36:37):
to what you're doing and theway that you're walking with the
Lord and the way you're pouringthat out.
I think we do have such aresponsibility and an obligation
and I am just super gratefulthat you both have answered the
call that God has put on yourlife and the way that you're
using it to pour out and thenglorify Him in the process.
Like we just need more, especially men.
I think we need more men doingthat.
I have a deep passion for this.
(36:59):
I've told my husband this.
He knows.
I just think when men arereally solid in their purpose
and their walk with the Lord, itchanges the entire world, and
so I just want to thank you bothfor being those men.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
So just thank you for
being here.
It's been our pleasure.
We were called to do it.
The Lord gave us righteousdesires, we're living examples
of the scriptures and theinvitation is there for each and
every one of us.
Right, once you have Christ, you have all of these wonderful
promises and the Lord says yesto all of them.
But the Lord knew everyone wasgoing, who would go to heaven
(37:32):
and who wasn't.
Why didn't he just make usthere in the first place?
Yeah, it seems like areasonable question, right.
Why not just put us there?
Then there would be no hell, there would be no need for any
of that.
There is an answer in John 5,verse 17.
But Jesus answered them.
My father has been working untilnow and I have been working.
(37:56):
So if you're wondering what'smy life about?
This is it?
They're still cutting corners.
The Lord didn't cut corners.
He put us through to do thework and he tells us what work
he wants us to do.
And then he says I'll equip you.
Ephesians 3.20,.
Bigger than you think, morethan you ask, he's already
(38:17):
embedded something in you, andwe can see that in Philippians
2.13,.
Right, it is the Lord who isworking in you to will and to do
according to his good purpose.
Another word for will is desire.
So once you start, having a man.
I want to have a right desire.
Guess what that is?
(38:39):
That's a righteous desire, andit's the Lord who puts it in
there, because it's not actuallyin our nature to want to have a
righteous desire, because it'sbigger than it has.
Kingdom purposes right?
The Lord's not going to let uscut corners.
You're right.
It took me two years and I'mgoing to let everybody know.
(38:59):
How did I know the moment whenit happened?
Because I went bankrupt and Iwas like this is really
interesting.
I'm in this moment of I'mbankrupt.
No one would know it.
It was because he cut all thedoors off.
He cut my opportunity off andset in front of me a new goal,
(39:22):
and so now I got nothing to loseand with that I charged that
hill, I took it and made theseamazing things happen.
But it was something that hehad embedded inside of me.
It's something inside of you,but it's bigger than you think
and it's more than you ask.
But you will need to be patientand you will have to do real
(39:43):
work and then to get it.
But I guarantee you this you'llwant it and it'll be worth it.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
I love that.
I love that you said that italso takes work, because I think
people forget that work waspart of the original plan.
It was a command to Adam beforethe fall.
Before sin entered, he was toldto go and work and take
dominion and all of those thingsthat happened before the fall.
So work was always part of theequation.
This is so good, right.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
I could be so.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
I was like you can't
get this done in 20 minutes.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
I know we couldn't.
And I love that.
I love just the richness andthe depth.
So where can everybody goConnect?
I love just the richness andthe depth.
So where can everybody goconnect with you?
Speaker 3 (40:23):
And I'm going to link
it in the show notes for them
too.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
So I would love for
you guys to tell me a little bit
about yourselves and how youguys even connected.
Are you like lifelong besties,or is this new?
Speaker 2 (42:34):
Sean created a viral
post.
What a year and a half ago,2022.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
And we met each other
through that post.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
I was stepping into
the online space for the first
time after running severaldifferent gym models over the
past about 20 years and afterCOVID happened, I was like, okay
, we're going to do somethingdifferent.
I'm going to help other peoplein online space.
He answered this when I jumpedinto it and I was going to help
them out with their marketingand whatnot.
So I put out this little reelfive Bible scriptures to help
you with your business.
(43:05):
And along comes this fellow andhe books a phone call with me
and here I am thinking it'sgoing to be a sales call.
All right, get this thingrolling.
And the first words out of thisknucklehead's mouth is my name
is Rusty and I don't need yourhelp.
He just shared his heart.
I love what you're doing, Ilove what you're doing in this
space.
I love your heart for God, Ilove the scriptures that you're
(43:26):
sharing and I just wanted to getto know you.
I tell you that was really ablessing.
It was a divine intervention, that was a divine meeting that
God paired us up, because a30-minute book call turned into
a three-hour conversation and wehave been brothers in Christ
ever since and we just startedtalking about the Lord, what
he's done for each of us, whathe's done in businesses, what
he's done in our personal livesand I got to tell you.
(43:50):
We're just like, okay, we'reseeing so many similarities here
that we just want to bring somuch of this message to other
people, especially people whoare lost in their maybe, they're
lost in their pain, they don'tknow what their purpose is,
they're not really sure whereGod is in their lives.
Rusty shared with me somethingvery powerful that I'm going to
turn it over and let him indulgeyour listeners with, and it's
(44:12):
called Psalm's Path, and hereally discipled this over me.
He said I see you doing this.
You probably don't even realizeit.
And when he discipled it overme, I was like dude, this is
good stuff.
This is good stuff.
I wrote it on my whiteboard andI've been following ever since,
and new doors of opportunityhave just opened up.
One of these opportunities isbeing on podcasts such as yours.
So we just know that when wetrust him more, when we commit
(44:34):
our ways to him, he just opensup opportunities.
So, rusty, I want you to sharePsalm's path and really what it
means for everybody here.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Yeah, I actually
didn't realize Psalm's path.
It took years for it to comeinto full focus for me, but I
took scripture right out of theBible and I built real medical
with it.
I'm not a doctor.
I quit nursing school before Istarted.
I've never owned a lemonadestand, I've never had a brick
(45:04):
and mortar of any kind, but theLord had laid it on my heart
that you're going to create anintegrative oncology functional
medicine clinic in Scottsdale, arizona, and I'm the son of a
stage four cancer survivor, so Ihad some type of idea in the
realm cancer survivors.
(45:24):
So I had some type of idea inthe realm.
I was a advocate for many yearsfor cancer patients, as my mom
had a miraculous healing fromstage four, end of life
non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
We started sharing her story onthe internet but we found over
the course of about 10 years, most cancer patients that went
to Mexico and we were helpingpeople find Mexico Turns out
most eight out of 10 didn't wantto go there and their family
(45:48):
didn't want them to go there.
So, as businessmen and havingsome acumen, the Lord was like
you're going to open up a clinicin Scottsdale, so in 2019, we
did, and it's a wonderful placeof healing and it's growing.
We're taking possession of a16,000 square foot facility
that's being custom made for usnow and be open about January.
(46:11):
But the purpose for me sharingall of that is not so we can say
, hey, rusty, all right, it's agreat place of healing.
God forbid, anybody has canceror knows someone with cancer,
reach out to Brio Medical.
We have the top clinicians inthe country.
It's absolutely phenomenal.
But it's the Scripture that'smost important and I had found
(46:36):
in 2017, a Scripture jumped outoff of the page Psalm 37, verse
4, delight also in the Lord andhe'll give you the desires of
your heart.
I found out in other Scripturein my studies that in James,
chapter 4, verses 1 through 3,our desires get people killed.
These are horrible things tohave.
(46:58):
These desires start wars andfights among us.
So why would the Lord give usthe desires of our heart if they
go and get people killed?
And the answer is they're notordinary desires.
These are not desires that weconcoct on our own behalf.
These are what we callrighteous desires, because in
Isaiah 54, verse 17,.
(47:19):
The Lord says and theirrighteousness comes from me,
says the Lord.
Righteous desires are what hewants to give us.
Every Christian should reachout and want this.
Not only does the Lord say hewants to give them to us, he
guarantees the results.
In Psalm 37, verse 5, he sayswhen you trust the Lord and
(47:40):
commit your way to him, he willbring it to pass.
So this righteous desire thathe wants for you, he wants to
make it your reality.
Now it turns out, psalm's path, which is Psalm 37, verses 1
through 8, is an invitation toco-create righteous desires with
(48:02):
the Lord.
It's absolutely, and the Lordwants to equip us, just like he
did the disciples back in theday when Jesus was there.
He wants to elevate us.
We know that righteous desiresare not normal, because when you
read in Ephesians 3.23, ittalks about how they're bigger
(48:24):
than you think and more than youask for, according to his
riches, not our own.
So righteous desires are biggerthan what we could make in our
own human capabilities, and Ioffer my life as an example,
because I put all of this to thetest.
The Lord laid it all out andmade everything in my life.
(48:46):
The Scriptures jump right offthe page and became my life.
So Psalm 37, verse 4, is thebeginning of an invitation to
co-create, which means that youand I that take a hold of this
wonderful opportunity haveresponsibilities.
(49:08):
He doesn't rue us.
So when you read Psalm 37, verse3, 4, and 5, you see what the
Lord says, that he wants you todo.
It has nothing to do with yourcollege education wants you to
do.
It has nothing to do with yourcollege education, what color or
race or gender or whatcontinent you were born on None
(49:29):
of this matters.
What does matter is that youtrust him.
He wants you to do good, whichis, display good fruits of the
Spirit.
He wants you to dwell in theland.
This is about dwelling upon Himmorning and night, right To
think about Him.
Also, feed on His faithfulness.
That means you got to gettapped into Scripture.
(49:51):
You got to be reading His Wordon a daily basis.
Then he says delight.
Delight really means joy.
What a wonderful thing that weare given.
No one should pass thisopportunity up to actually enjoy
a relationship with the Creatorof the universe through Jesus
Christ Phenomenal.
(50:11):
Take a hold of what we've beengiven.
Don't miss that invitation.
Then, in verse 5, he sayscommit your way and trust in Him
.
When you do those things, he'sgoing to give you a desire.
It's going to be bigger thanyou think, more than you asked
for, and he's going to make ityour reality.
You'll find in John, chapter 15,verse 7 and 8, this comes
(50:33):
really into full fortition asthe Lord tells us why he does
this Bait.
It's bait, remember Jesus isonly for fishers of men.
Fishermen, don't go withoutthat's bait.
What is this bait?
He's promising to give yousomething that you're going to
really want.
(50:54):
In return, he's going to getsomething he wants from you, and
that's a disciple.
And he tells us that in John, chapter 15, verse 7 and 8, you
could ask anything you desire tobe done for you.
By this you'll show good fruit, right, our Father's glorified,
and you show yourself whereJesus decided.
(51:15):
So what a wonderful opportunitywe've been given.
So Sean and I have taken uponourselves.
I've written a book it's inproduction right now.
It should be out, hopefully inthe fall called Psalm's Path,
but we also offer this as acourse.
We'll have it on psalmspathcomshortly.
It's really designed to takeanyone who's looking for their
(51:41):
higher purpose, no matter whatit may be, and bring it into
reality, this desire that theLord has for you.
He has it picked out,custom-made for each and every
one of His children, rightCustom-made by the Creator of
the universe, just waiting foryou to reach out and accept it.
(52:03):
What a wonderful gift the Lordhas given us, and the Scriptures
prove it, and we know thatyou'll be getting answers to
your prayers because in 1Corinthians 1.20, where it says
all the promises of God are yesand amen All of them.
(52:23):
So for those brothers andsisters that we have out there
that don't get answers to theirprayers, it's because they don't
know how to live in the Lord'spromises.
When they do, all of theirprayers will be answered with a
yes.
What a wonderful.
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (52:40):
I want to hear from
Lemon.
I would love to hear Lemon'swhat do you got Lemon?
Speaker 2 (52:44):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (52:45):
No, I love this so
much because I think I hear all
the time from people that, ohGod doesn't.
It's better to be humble andhe's not going to give you
things.
There has to be suffering, there's all the things that you
have to have in order to beimpactful, and I don't think
that's necessarily true.
Right, like I love that yousaid it's a yes and amen.
I love that you talked aboutthis righteous desire.
(53:06):
Right, Because he's not goingto give me like sinful desires.
Right, it's the righteousdesire.
Right, because he's not goingto give me sinful desires.
Right, it's the righteousdesire and just this big shift
and there's so much I want totalk about.
I love this conversation abouthe's going to give you desires
that are bigger than yourself.
That's been very true in myexperience where I've had I
remember last year we werechurch my church funds our local
(53:27):
Backpack Buddies ministry infull every year in one service,
and I remember sitting therelast year and all of a sudden I
got the feeling like my businessneeds to match my church's
donation because of the economythis ministry has to fund in
full and I'm sitting here.
I'm like there's no way that Igot that, but my husband and my
10-year-old at the same time gotthe same thing.
(53:48):
But for me they're like, mom, Ithink this is what you're
supposed to do, and I'm like butyeah, but that's my heart,
that's my passion and that's arighteous desire that I have.
And, god, let me take thissmall thing that you thought you
could do and expand upon itexponentially.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
That's the key right
there, lemon.
The key is so many times, whenwe look at our lives and we look
at what is God calling me to do, we can think on a big, grand
scale and we're like this isnever going to get done.
But I would submit to you, andI would submit to anybody
listening, that our smallest ofactions, god, will turn into the
biggest of miracles.
I know that to be true with howme and Rusty met.
(54:25):
A lot of people don't know thisstory, but I caught COVID as
soon as I launched that reel, soI wasn't even able to follow it
, keep up with the comments orthe shares or any of that,
because looking at my phone waslike blinding me for seven days.
So in the background, I'mcomplaining I'm sick, I need to
be working right now, like Ineed to be doing more, and I
(54:46):
can't do anything because myhead is buried in a pillow.
Yet this video has gone viralin the background, I don't even
know it.
So the next time I look at it,I went from 2,000 followers to
35,000.
And it kept growing and it wentwell over 100,000 new followers
in 28 days.
Why?
Just one simple action ofstepping out of obedience,
stepping out of faith and thenput it in God's hands and then
(55:07):
let him multiply it.
We know that God is amultiplier.
We know he's the greatestmathematician out there.
His first command was befruitful and multiply.
So when we put it in his hands,he will do the work.
This is why we want to trust inhim.
This is why we want to befaithful to him.
I love what Psalms chapter 1talks about.
We will be like a tree plantedby the streams of water and
(55:28):
everything.
That tree will prosper, it willweather the storms, it'll
always produce good fruit.
Because, why?
Because we're feeding on hisfaithfulness, because we're
rooted in him.
And that's what Jesus saysagain in John, chapter 15 is
when you remain in me and mywords remain in you, I am divine
.
If you remain in me and mywords remain in you, ask
(55:50):
whatever you desire and it willbe done for you.
It'll be given to you.
But apart from me, you will benothing.
You can do nothing.
So let's remain in the goodword, let's remain faithful in
our Lord and Savior.
Let's lean on his promises, let's lean on his precepts.
I submit to you that God isabout just a few things.
He's about His promises.
(56:11):
He's about His principles andhe's about His people.
Never does, never does.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
It's important that
we understand that the glory of
the Lord is to work through us,and the Lord doesn't cut corners
.
He doesn't.
He wants to do amazing things.
He doesn't bring down theangels to do all of this work
for us.
He wants us to do it and he'scalled everyone.
(56:39):
You're right, we all have thesame mandate.
We all have the same higherpurpose, that's to be disciples
who make disciples.
So if anyone who's I don't knowwhat my higher calling is,
because you haven't been payingattention, in fact, in Matthew
22, 29,.
It is the epicenter of any andevery thing that goes wrong in
(57:02):
our life, any wall you can't getover or through, or if you
don't know your higher purposeor calling.
Matthew 22, 29 is what tells uswhy.
Jesus is having a conversationwith the Sadducees at the time,
and so he's directing his speechto them and he says you're in
error because you don't know theScriptures nor the power of God
(57:26):
.
So if you're having some kindof problem or it could be
anything, whether you don't knowyour higher calling or
something's going wrong in yourlife, it's because you don't
know the scriptures.
Jesus is promising that if youknow the scriptures you'll see
the power of God.
So this mountain you can't getover, you'll flatten it.
(57:46):
This gorge that you can't cross, he'll bring it together right.
The sea you can't get through,he'll part it.
This gorge that you can't, youknow, cross, he'll bring it
together right.
The sea you can't get through,he'll part it for you.
He'll make a way.
He's the way maker.
But we must open up our Biblesand know the Scripture.
Now, the problem that we seewith people is okay, I have my
Bible, now, what Right?
(58:10):
What scripture is it that I'msupposed to be reading?
And they can get lost.
They either don't know what toread or, when they do read it,
they don't know what it is.
Yeah, this is what Psalm's pathwas all about.
It's some of the mostlife-transforming scriptures in
the Bible.
(58:30):
Outside of our thank you, lord, our salvation, did they ever
tell you what the new life was?
Speaker 1 (58:37):
No, of course they
don't.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
No, they don't.
And it's just this go and be agood Christian, right?
No, that's not what the Lordsaid.
So Psalm's path islaser-focused, life-transforming
scriptures that are all aboutwhat that new life is, and our
churches are not doing ourbrothers and sisters a service
(59:01):
at all.
We found that 89% of mostchurchgoers don't know what
their higher calling is.
That means our churches arefailing us, and so we're
stepping in and doing our part, just like you, you're doing your
part to bring that to ourbrothers and sisters.
What we're finding is that mostpeople don't live in godly
(59:21):
freedom in every aspect of theirlife, whether it's their
mortgage or money should I saymoney or relationships.
They're struggling, and if youdon't know what it means to have
godly freedom in a relationship, let's take that for an example
.
It means that you have to spendtime working on.
I've been married 31 years.
(59:43):
Our marriage isn't work, it's arelationship, and my wife and I
enjoy worshiping our father andhaving a relationship together.
We don't work at our marriage.
Our finances Sure, there's goodtimes and bad times, there's
ebbs and flows, but we live ingodly freedom in our finances.
I don't have to worry if themortgage is going to get paid.
(01:00:05):
I know it's going to get paid.
I know these things are goingto be taken care of.
My relationships with mychildren.
They're not trained, so doesthat make sense?
You know that most of ourbrothers and sisters are not
walking in Godly freedom, andhere's why they don't know their
identity.
(01:00:25):
Why did Jesus say you must beborn again?
This is a big one.
When you're born, you have anidentity.
We're born into their home andthey give us our identity.
But when you're born again, youhave a new identity and people
don't know how to go and claimthat.
And we share this in Psalm'spath, in our course and in the
(01:00:49):
book.
It comes out of the book of Luke, 19, verse 11 through 26.
It's the parable of the minutes, and this is where Jesus,
between Palm Sunday and actuallygoing to the cross, senses that
hey, they're going to want tomake him king, right.
So he tells them this parable.
But this parable is so profound.
(01:01:11):
It's telling us exactly who weare as children of God here on
this planet, and whenever thelife everlasting comes into play
more in his kingdom, he tellsus what that's like too.
What is it the parable of themen is, in short, what is it.
The parable of the men is, inshort, synopsis A noble man
gives his servants today's maybea million dollars or so with
(01:01:37):
the money to go and invest, right?
One invested it, turned it into10.
Another invested, turned itinto five.
And another one hit it.
The one that turned one into 10, good, well done my faithful
servant.
Be in charge of 10 cities.
The one with five.
Be in charge of five cities.
The one who buried it.
(01:01:58):
You're a wicked servant, right?
What does it represent?
It represents Lord's.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Holy spirit that he
gives you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
He gives you this
wonderful, amazing gift of His
Holy Spirit.
A portion of that we aresupposed to go and invest, go to
work right and then build it,and when you put it to work, the
Lord gives you more.
What are we supposed to bedoing here, lemon?
We're supposed to be taking theportion of the Spirit that the
(01:02:28):
Lord has given, put it to work.
If you don't have a startingpoint, the Lord offers you that
Enjoy a real relationship withme and I'll give you a righteous
desire and I'll make it yourreality.
You're guaranteed to want itand you're guaranteed to get it
right.
This is an incredible offer andwhen you're working and living
(01:02:52):
out that righteous desire, theLord is going to elevate you so
that you change the world aroundyou.
Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
This is our higher
call.
Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
This is our higher
purpose.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
What we haven't
shared we keep this for the
course is what's a righteousdesire?
It turns out there's fivecriteria to a righteous desire,
so that people can actually testit.
Because in 1 Thessalonians 5,the Scripture's telling us test
all things hold fast what isgood?
When you have a desire, it'sbest that you know how to test
(01:03:26):
it, to know that it is arighteous desire.
So for those people who enrollin our course or acquire the
book, give them those fivecriteria Absolutely and they'll
know without a shadow of a doubthey, this is a righteous desire
the Lord has given me andtherefore the answer is yes and
amen.
I will get it if I just do whathe tells me to do, and one of
(01:03:51):
them is don't fret, do not.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
I love this and y'all
I will link to everything in
the show notes for you.
But I love this conversationand I'm glad you brought up the
church.
I feel like the church as awhole right the big C church is
failing believers in a lot ofareas and I'm seeing a lot of
people who are stepping out inreally big callings and God is
elevating them in these reallybig ways because they're
(01:04:15):
bringing some truth that I feellike churches are not sharing
anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
We do have an opinion
.
Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
I love opinions.
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
It appears that the
church is interested in their
growth, not yours.
And who said that the next bigrevival is going to be in
business?
That was.
Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
Billy Graham.
Billy Graham said anevangelical movement will be in
the marketplace.
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
That is really funny.
My friend, michelle Schaefershe had this just downloaded
into her spirit a couple ofyears ago that there would be a
big revival and that it wouldcome through marketplace
ministry and that women would bea big proponent of it.
And I was like I love it andthat's the work she's doing.
It's super cool.
It's cool to see, I think, theway the Lord is just hey, it's
(01:04:57):
time now, like we're ready, forsome next level conversation.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
Yeah, it's totally
given us authority and tools
that we never had before, andthe reason the Lord wants to
elevate you is what we teach inour course.
You are supposed to increaseyour influence, Absolutely
unequivocally.
Each and every Christian issupposed to increase their
(01:05:21):
influence, and the Internetallows us to do that.
Look, you're a prime example ofthat right and so that we can
train other disciples.
Right, when you look into theScriptures, people were
following disciples.
Why?
Because they were able to raisethe dead, cast out demons, make
the blind, see Jesus placedinside of them amazing gifts and
(01:05:47):
people were drawn to them.
We have the same Holy Spirit, and Jesus didn't stutter.
He said you'll be able to dothese things and more, because
I'm going to send you a helper.
This is no longer just aninvitation, this is an
obligation, and he's not goingto ill-equip us.
And the fact that our churcheshave not been huge advocates for
(01:06:07):
this is where they're failing.
They need to be building eachand every person to go out there
and be a disciple who'selevated.
Draw their lives, their verylives, draw people to them and
they make more disciples thanyours, and I think that's where
(01:06:27):
they're failing.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
I love this
conversation because I agree
wholeheartedly and I love thatyou said, like the Lord does
want to elevate you, that it'sbeen 100% been my experience.
The podcast wasn't somethingthat I actually wanted to do.
God and I argued about thispodcast.
Yes, people, you can argue withthe Lord.
I did it didn't.
Obviously it didn't go in myyeah, it didn't go.
Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
The way that you know
, David Moe.
Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
Right, obviously, I
didn't win the argument because
I started the podcast, but I hadone in 2018.
And I've said this before Don'tGoogle it, you won't find it.
It was the worst podcast everon the internet.
It's been scrubbed from theinternet as best I can.
It was awful, and so I do thisagain.
(01:07:14):
But I was in such a differentplace with my faith that when I
started the podcast, within acouple of months, we had the
Forbes feature before we evenhit our first year in the
podcast and I'm like I got totalk about Jesus and Forbes, not
once, but twice.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
There's elevation for
you.
You've been walking some path, even though you may not have
even realized.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Now I know I love it,
but I do.
I would love to know how youbecause I get this all the time
too is, when I say things likethis or when I present these
kinds of concepts to people,I'll get hit, and I know it's
going to hit my inbox.
What do you do when people arelike that's really prosperity
gospel of you.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Agreed.
And here's my answer to thatthis is prosperity gospel, 100%,
but it's actually realprosperity gospel.
This isn't like Joel Osteen, you want a breakthrough moment.
No, this is actually the Lord'splan and he does want us to
prosper.
He wants people to be drawn toour lives.
He wants us to be special.
Right, we want our kids to bespecial, absolutely, but to?
Speaker 3 (01:08:14):
what end?
Domestic component, prosperity, gospel to what end?
To bring honor and glory to ourFather in heaven, showing
yourself to be a disciple.
Those two components are notthere, then you are stepping out
of place.
Now you are maybe stepping intothe greed and the prosperity
that goes the other direction.
And what's in it for me?
No, what's in it for our Fatherin heaven.
(01:08:35):
What's in it for others?
Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
Yeah, remember, we're
not talking about fleshly
desire.
So when someone is normallytalking about prosperity gospel,
they're talking aboutflourishing and fleshly desires.
I wanted to picket fence right.
Did that glorify the Lord, ammy?
But did I get a big fat bankaccount?
Do I have a nice car?
(01:08:57):
These are all fleshly things andthe Lord's saying that when we
pray about these things, we'repraying amiss, which means
you're praying inappropriateprayers and therefore he just
ignores them.
You're praying inappropriateprayers and therefore he just
ignores them.
But when we start chasingrighteous desires, the things
that the Lord wants to say yesto, yes and amen, you will get
(01:09:18):
yes and you will be given anamen to them and, yes, you will
prosper.
It's not prosperity gospel inthe sense of just fleshly
desires.
No, this is true prosperitygospel that the Lord wanted for
each and every one of hischildren, for us to be elevated
disciples lacking nothing, walking in godly freedom in
(01:09:41):
every aspect of our lives, pouring ourselves out to others
as a drink offering, showingourselves as disciples of the
Lord.
That's actual, real prosperitygospel and that's why we wrote
Psalms Path.
It was actually King David thatwrote it early right.
I just happened to recognizethat.
The Lord just laid it on theheart.
Words jump off of the page andI'm like I'm going to put them
(01:10:04):
to the mat, so to speak, on that.
And I started asking him bysaying I don't know what I want.
Would you give me a want?
And I prayed that for about twoyears and when the time was
right, the Lord laid it in.
I know exactly what I wanted.
I said I know what I want.
I'm going to go build thisclinic.
They did.
We're against formidableopposition.
(01:10:27):
No one thought I could do it.
They thought I was crazy.
And the only ones who believedme were the ones that I was
believing.
And you know what?
They still work with me today.
My naysayers saidcongratulations, I didn't know
you could do it.
Guess what?
That is all written right inthe scriptures.
I walked each and every one ofthose Scriptures so that I could
(01:10:50):
be a living testimony today tosay go, take Him for His Word.
He will do these things for youand he tells you what to expect
along the way and what heexpects from you, and he
guarantees you to make this yourreality.
It is absolutely incredible.
Each and every one of yourlisteners.
(01:11:12):
I thank you for allowing us tobe here to share this with you.
I would encourage them toconnect with us, because what do
we do?
This course was 27 bucks, right$3.99.
The Lord said I remember asking.
I was having a conversationwith him.
Same conversation over and overagain for about two months.
I'm like what?
Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
do you want from me?
What do you?
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
want from me.
He says I want growth.
Go figure, Every time the HolySpirit speaks, it's congruent
with whatever's in his MultiplyBe fruitful and multiply right,
make more disciples.
So yes, we do offer a verysimple course that explains
Psalm's path and what righteousdesires are, how to identify
(01:11:56):
them, what your responsibilitiesare as a co-creator Because,
yes, the Lord does want toco-create with us.
He manifests on your behalf, hewill bring people into your
life on your behalf.
He will bring people into yourlife, he will orchestrate the
circumstances and bring thiswonderful righteous desire into
your life.
And then, guess what?
Once you obtain that one, he'llgive you more.
Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
The safe desires of
the heart Desires.
Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
I love that we I feel
I could do a whole episode
later on just like linguistictheft and how culture and the
big C church and things havetaken these concepts and these
words and changed them andmanipulated them, where you're
not actually getting realbiblical truth, because I feel
like we've touched on that a lotand I love it.
(01:12:43):
I love this and I also lovethat you said you prayed about
this for two solid years.
It didn't happen overnight.
You didn't just wake up.
You're like I'm going to prayabout this and tomorrow.
Now I have this desire and mywhole life is simple and a
cakewalk, because I think that'swhat people expect to I'm just
going to show up like a genieand wave a magic wand and
everything's going to be fine.
That's not.
I really like that.
(01:13:05):
You said this because there issome waiting sometimes and there
is things you've got to walkthrough, like it is not all
sunshine and rainbows.
You've talked about the ebbsand flows and I'm obsessed with
this conversation.
Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
I'll just say that
I'll touch on that real quick,
because there might be someonelistening today who says you
don't understand my circumstance.
I'm in pain right now, I'mgoing through the fire, and I'll
say to that person you're rightwhere God needs you to be,
because he is going to take asituation that you are in and he
can turn that to a greaterpurpose.
We find this in Romans I thinkit's 828, for everybody, that
(01:13:39):
the Lord turns all things togood, according to his purpose,
to those who love him.
Those are key components there,right?
So this is what psalms path isall about is loving him,
spending time with him, and thenhe gives us the light.
You know, the delight to myheart.
So, with that said, turn yourpain to your purpose.
I made.
I was someone who hated my lifeso much.
(01:14:01):
I tried to end it in 2017, andit was all due to just a
whirlwind of stuff that happenedin my life, right?
What I would say is today Iserve a purpose because of my
pain and what I went through, and so what I would offer the
person today is stop focusing somuch on your situation, stop
focusing so much on yourcircumstances, stop focusing so
(01:14:23):
much on your pain and whereyou're at, but instead start
looking at what is God's purposefor me on the other side of
this and I'll give you thislittle nugget, I'll give you
this clue the person that youare most equipped to help or to
serve, because 1 Timothy 4.10says each one should use
whatever gift they have receivedto serve others.
Okay, we all have a gift, weall have a purpose, we all have
(01:14:46):
these things, but the personyou're most qualified to help is
a person that you have alreadyovercome.
Are you standing on your storytoday?
Have you overcome a trial?
Have you overcome a challenge?
Have you overcome alcoholism, drug use, pornography, being
overweight?
Use that to leverage your story, your testimony, to step onto
(01:15:06):
your purpose to serve others, bring in glory and honor to our
Father in heaven, and also toshow yourself as your disciple.
I would say tap into these threethings.
We know that we're called tostewardship.
Tap into your time.
How are you spending your time?
Are you trusting in Him more?
Number two look at your talents.
What are the gifts God hasgiven you?
What are the skills that he'sgiven you?
(01:15:27):
And number three what is yourtestimonial?
What are the skills that he'sgiven you?
And number three, what is yourtestimonial.
A lot of people say tap intoyour treasures.
I say tap into your testimonial, tap into your story.
Paul did it.
He shared his testimonial overand over again.
You could find it in Acts.
You could find it in hisletters.
Matter of fact, you could seehis own personal growth through
(01:15:47):
his letters.
You're paying real goodattention to that.
So tap into those three things.
You'll discover your purpose, you'll discover what God wants
for you and again you'll stopfocusing so much on your pain
and your service and you willsee the light at the end of the
tunnel and you can start movingforward towards it.
Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
I love this.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
I know that we could.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
This is so good.
I just want to thank you bothfor your service to the country,
to what you're doing and theway that you're walking with the
Lord and the way you're pouringthat out.
I think we do have such aresponsibility and an obligation
, and I am just super gratefulthat you both have answered the
call that God has put on yourlife and the way that you're
using it to pour out and glorifyHim in the process.
We just need more, especiallymen.
(01:16:26):
I think we need more men doingthat.
I have a deep passion for this.
I've told my husband this.
He knows.
I just think when men arereally solid in their purpose
and their walk with the Lord, itchanges the entire world, and
so I just want to thank you bothfor being those men.
Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
So just thank you for
being here.
It's been our pleasure.
We were called to do it.
The Lord gave us righteousdesires, we're living examples
of the scriptures and theinvitation is there for each and
every one of us, right?
Once you have Christ, you haveall of these wonderful promises
and the Lord says yes to all ofthem.
But the Lord knew everyone wasgoing—who would go to heaven and
(01:17:02):
wasn't.
Why didn't he just make us therein the first place?
Yeah, it seems like areasonable question, right.
Why not just put us there?
Then there would be no hell, there would be no need for any
of that.
There is an answer In John 5,verse 17,.
But Jesus answered them.
My father has been workinguntil now and I have been
(01:17:26):
working.
So if you're wondering, what'smy life about?
This, is it?
The Lord didn't have corners.
He put us through to do thework and he tells us what work
he wants us to do, and then hesays I'll equip you Now.
Ephesians 3.20,.
Bigger than you think, morethan you ask, he's already
(01:17:47):
embedded something in you, andwe can see that in Philippians
2.13,.
Right, it is the Lord who isworking in you to will and to do
according to his good purpose.
Another word for will is desire.
So once you start, having a man,I want to have a right desire.
Guess what that is?
(01:18:08):
That's a righteous desire, andit's the Lord who puts it in
there, because it's not actuallyin our nature to want to have a
righteous desire, because it'sbigger than it has.
Kingdom purposes right, theLord's not going to let us cut
corners.
You're right.
It took me two years.
I'm in this moment of I'mbankrupt.
(01:18:28):
No one would know it took metwo years.
I'm in this moment of I'mbankrupt.
No one would know it.
It was because he cut all thedoors off.
He cut my opportunity off andset in front of me a new goal,
and so now I got nothing to loseand with that I charged that
hill.
I took it and made theseamazing things happen.
(01:18:50):
But it was something that hehad embedded inside of me and I
have a sneaky suspicion that'sfor every one of his children.
It's something inside of you,but it's bigger than you think
and it's more than you ask.
But you will need to be patientand you will have to do real
work to get it.
(01:19:10):
But I guarantee you this you'llwant it and it'll be worth it
Amen.
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
I love that you said
that it also takes work, because
I think people forget that workwas part of the original plan.
It was a command to Adam beforethe fall.
Before sin entered, he was toldto go and work and take
dominion and all of those thingsthat happened before the fall.
So work was always part of theequation.
This is so good.
Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
I can't get this done
in 20 minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
I know we couldn't,
and I love that.
I love just the richness andthe depth, and I feel like we've
only scratched the surface ofthe depth that you bring to the
conversation.
So where can everybody goconnect with you?
