I wanted to expand on the last podcast this week and ask the question, "Could materialistic evolution use religion as a beneficial component if it is true?"
I mentioned this in one paragraph last week but I felt it needed elaboration. My point is not that religions are a beneficial result of materialism, but could it be argued that religion could be used as such if it were true? If so, then what does this say about materialists that argue religion is an ancient construct that the detrimental to humanity?
In contrast, could it be argued that religion is a viable ingredient for materialism? If so, could this actually mean those incapable of accepting the idea of God and objective morality as actually evolutionary inferior and an impediment to humanity?
