Mind Over Me - The mental wellness podcast

All things about wellness and personal mastery presented to you by a licensed therapist and self-mastery enthusiast. This podcast is meant to give you a fresh cup of perspective in a world spiraling into illness and dysfunction. In order to unlock self-mastery and wellness we have to look outside of the box and abandon the conventional. I've had a career in mental health counseling but I've found wellness in some of the outer fringes and this podcast is all about exploring those outer fringes. Topics include being a psychonaut, spiritual practices, nutrition, mental health, lifestyle changes, the pursuit of authentic happiness, love dieting and shadowwork just to name a few. This podcast is about seeking and finding the right answers wherever we might find them. Let's talk about life. At the end of the day, there's one main message here. It's up to you change your experience.

You can't have good mental health as long as your relationship with yourself is in the tank. Let's talk in depth about more true to yourself with some quality shadow work journal prompts to help you tackle this issue.

Ideas like spirituality can come with a lot of baggage. We're not talking about God or religion here. Instead, I'm defining the most important aspect of being human and being alive and how those things have been edged out of therapy. Before you judge, give it a listen.

This episode came flying out of me off the cuff. This is a topic I've wanted to approach for a long time but I've struggled to know the best way to start talking about a loaded and deep topic. I also dive into my theory on the competitive vs coopera...

There's a lesser known idea out there that you need to spend time being selfish in a certain way in order to become a better person in the world. In this episode, I explore the idea of positive selfishness or the type of selfishness that is required for becoming a better person. I also talk about exactly what this looks like and how to practice it. The hardest part is fearing the judgments of other people.

I'm keeping with the shadow work and subconscious in this episode because of how important it is for real growth and change. Building off the "shattered minds" episode, I talk about how all the emotions and pain that we pack away can take on it's own form that I call the dark ego. I talk about what it is, how it forms and of course, what to do about it.
