talking with my buddy, mikeAnderson, and he shows me this
really cool app.
He's been playing with that.

I still can't believe I wasstuck with it this long.
I mean, I started this way backin the beginning of COVID, but
now I just love doing it so muchthere's probably no end in
sight for me.
Anyways, I had the chance tointerview my hero in this
industry, mr Mike Anderson, thefounder of Collision Advice and

So then, when I called Mike andI asked him if we could do

hesitation.

Ever since election time oflast year, people are watching
the news more to see what'sgoing to happen next.
The stock markets kept us onthe edge of our seats.
Although it's been quite aroller coaster ride the last few
months, the plain fact is thenews doesn't know what's going
to happen next.

They can't predict Jack's squad.
They can't even get the nextday's forecast right, you know
what I'm saying.
What the mainstream media doeswell is keeping people fearful,
and that keeps their attention,which means keeps eyes on their
station, which keeps theirrevenue stream flowing in.
I've attended several collisionconferences over the last couple

months and, although there areshops just killing it out there,
setting records, winning awards, unfortunately many shops want
to focus on the slowdown ofvolume coming to their doors.
What many shops fail toremember right now is, much like
most other service businesses,collision has always been a
cyclical business.
Right, you know, it slows downduring back-to-school season or

spring break or summer vacationor the holidays or whatever, but
it's always been like that.
The only variation has been thelast, you know, almost four
years of post-COVID steadybacklog of work.
That's finally right-sizeditself.
I've heard a lot of peoplecomplaining about how hard
things are now and how it's noteasy to start a business or buy

a home or afford a good life orsave for retirement.
Recently I was listening to aclip from one of my favorite
motivational speakers and TonyRobbins' first mentor, jim Rohn.
Jim was talking about how easyit is to be successful right
here in the old US of A.
Now most of us forget that manyof the most successful
businesses, the icons ofAmerican dream, started in the

absolute worst of times, duringdevastating recessions or even
depression.
Ultra-successful companies likeUber, airbnb and Venmo all
started during the 2008-2009recession.
Revlon and Disney, just to namea couple, started during the
Great Depression, and otherslike Microsoft, gm, allstate,

cnn, goldman Sachs, hershey, ibmand Hyatt all started in
different periods of recessions.
Jim Rohn does a great jobreminding us of how simple the
formula to success really is,especially in America, and it
just boils down to a few basicrules to follow.

So just pass on all that.
Just some good, basic,fundamental, solid stuff that
kids can understand.
Right, kids don't need theirown private psychic, you know,

Here's the best advice I givemy teenage friends.
It was easy.
What can I tell you?

Let me tell you how I did it.
I got three reasons why I gotrich by the time I was 31.
Let me give you those.
Here's number one I lived inAmerica.
I mean, how lucky can you get?
America's easy.

could just get to Poland,everything would be okay.
No, no, the boat people Are notdesperately trying to get to
Vietnam.
No, they're not squeezingthrough the fence To try to get

they're all coming to America.
Why?
Everybody wants to come here,by every means possible to get
here.
Why?
Because America is easy.
So if you go home with anythinggo home with that.
Mr Ong reminded us that Americais easy.
He got rich by the time he was31.
America is easy.

This is what's exciting aboutAmerica it's full of opportunity

And then what?
Try again, and then what?

Never, never run out ofopportunity to try.

I lived in America.
Number one Found an opportunity.

I found a teacher.
What a grand and glorious,unique thing that was for me.
At that time in my life, I founda teacher willing to teach me,

Here's what it was, very simple.
Number one Mr Rohn, you haveevidently messed up between ages
19 and 25.
Now I could understand that,but he didn't leave me there.
He said now here's the answerson how to change it all the next
six years, so that the next sixyears won't be like the last

What an incredible teacherTaught me how to have a whole
brand new six years.
First six what I messed up.
Second six what I got it right.
Second six years I became amillionaire.
During that second six years.
The government was about thesame, I'm telling you, interest

rates were about what the same.
The pay scale was about whatthe same.
Lord knows.
My negative realities were thesame.
Circumstances were about thesame.
The economy was about the same.
The unions and their philosophywas about the same.

What was going on around me wasabout the same.

Then how come I got rich thatsecond six years?
I was not the same, I changed.
You say well, mr Rohn, if youcan do that, can anybody do it?

Anytime you want to, you canstay the same so that the next
six years will be like the lastsix.

Take a look at the last sixyears and I'm telling you, the
next six years of your life isgoing to be like the last six,
unless you change, or unless youwant to count on this short
list that we call not much list.
Most everybody's counting onthis not much list.
What if all of your negativerelatives turned positive?
What would that do for yourfuture and your fortune?

Not much, not much.
What if prices came down alittle?
What will that do for yourfuture?
I'm telling you, not much.
If the economy gets a littlebetter, what will that do?
Not much.
Now that the Democrats are inpower, what's that going to do
for your future?
Not much.
We could get a good debategoing here If the Republicans

would have stayed in power.
What would that have done?
Not much.
Hey, we could get a good debategoing here.
I'm telling you it's a not muchlist If you don't make plans of
your own, guess what.
You'll probably always fit intosomeone else's plans.
Guess what someone else mayhave planned for you.

Then what's going to make thedifference?
You're going to have to makethe difference.
You're going to have to takecharge.
Now, mr Shoff, my teacher gaveme a promise and I want to give
you that promise now, on thisNovember day, 1992, anaheim,

Here was the promise I got andI bring it to you.
Here's what my teacher said Ifyou will change, mr Rohn, he
said, if you will change,everything will change for you.

You don't have to change thegovernment, you don't have to
change prices, you don't have tochange taxes.
Forget all that, he said.
If you will change, everythingwill change for you.
And the first thing you startchanging is what your philosophy

You start picking up new ideasand information, gather new
knowledge, make better decisionsabout what's valuable.
And I'm telling you, if you'lldo that, your whole life will
change.
Your health will change, yourrelationship with your family
will change, your ability tocope with challenges and
problems will change.
I'm telling you, incomepromotions all of it will change

If you will change.
It'll all change.
If you won't change, it isn'tgoing to change.

You can keep your fingerscrossed if you want to and hope
they'll straighten it out.
You can wish for the wind notto blow quite as severe, but I'm
telling you, wishing for thewind to change in your favor, we
call naive at best.
Don't do this any longer.
Wish for a better wind.
The key is to wish for thewisdom, to set a better sail.
Utilize whatever wind thatblows to take you wherever you

want to go go.
That is the philosophy I pickedup at age 25 and it
revolutionized my whole life.
And here's what I found.
I found it was easy.
I got rich by the time I was 31and it was easy.
Now here's my definition ofeasy.
Gotta jot this down.
My definition of easy Meaningsomething I could do.

I figure.
If it's something I could do, Ifigure.
If it's something you can do,it's easy.
Now here's a parenthesis,parenthesis.
I worked hard at it.
I found something I could dowhich was easy, but I worked
hard at it.
I got up early and stayed uplate, worked hard that six years

, but what I did was easy,meaning it was something I could
do.
You say well, mr Rohn, if it wasso easy, how come everybody
else around you during that sixyears, how come they didn't get
rich?
Here's why it's easy not to.
How else would you describe it?
That's it.
You say no, no For all of therest of them.
It was hard for them and it,that's it.
You say no, no For all of therest of them.
It was hard for them and it waseasy for you.

That's not true.
You couldn't debate me on thatin front of this intelligent
audience.
But here's the challenge.
Let me give it to you in aphilosophical phrase.
I tend to be a littlephilosophical.
Here it is the things that areeasy to do are also easy not to
do.
That's the difference betweensuccess and failure.

So you've got the choice heretoday of one of two easy, easy
to, or what?
Easy, not to?
I can give you in one sentencehow I got rich by the time I was
31.
Here it is in one sentence.
I did not neglect to do theeasy things I could do every day
for six years.
Underline I did not neglect.

That's the key.
I found something easy I coulddo that led to fortune, and I
did not neglect to do it.
Major reason for not havingeverything you want in America.
Major reason for not havingmore of what you want in America
More health, more money, morepower, more influence, more
everything.
Major reason why you don't getit?
Simple answer Neglect, neglect.

And here's the problem withneglect it starts as an
infection and if you don't takecare of it it becomes a disease.
And here's what else is theproblem.
One neglect leads to another.
Neglect to do wise things withyour money you'll probably
neglect to do wise things withyour time.
Neglect to do wise things withyour time you'll probably
neglect to do wise things withyour business.
One leads to another leads toanother.

Pretty soon, neglect has you bythe throat, emptying your purse,
emptying your heart, emptyingall of your chances for equities
and power and all the goodthings.
Neglect.
What if you should be walkingaround the block every day for
your good health and you don't?
I'm telling you you're on thewrong track.
You should do it, you could doit, you don't do it.
That's called formula fordisaster.

All you've got to do is letthat and a few other things
accumulate for six years, andnow you're driving what you
don't want to drive, wearingwhat you don't want to wear,
living where you don't want tolive, doing what you don't want
to do, maybe having become whatyou really didn't want to become

I'm telling you that's it.
Just neglect along, drift alongand it's got you by the throat.
It'll take all your values,leave you with just a little bit

of dust in the summer wind andit'll soon be gone.
I hope I said that.

That's where I found myself atage 25, until my teacher came
along and said Mr Rohn, up tillnow you've messed up.
