In this episode, Timm and Amanda have a conversation about
managing our personal energy. The energy
you bring to any situation is a factor in whether or not you bring about the
results you desire. This conversation is
about using Oak and Willow as a metaphor for two distinct ways that people can
choose to show up in conversations about work or anything else.
Without any training to increase awareness, managing our
energy tends to be something that comes slowly as young adults mature. Given our intention of helping Gen Z thrive
in the workplace, we explain how we can speed up young people’s awareness of
the energy they are bringing and how to manage that energy to be as effective
as possible.
Since our podcasts are both audio and video, we
end this episode with Amanda demonstrating the short Tai Chi form that inspires
our lessons about Oak and Willow. We
sometimes use elements of this form in our courses to increase awareness about
this key distinction.
