Speaker 1 (00:01):
Did you ever find yourself seeking a answer to a
question?
You've tried everything and theanswer is just not coming to
you, and could be a questionregarding a direction to go or
something that's on your mind,or you're just seeking some
clarity.
Well, I have a way for you tofind the answer you seek, and it

(00:25):
is actually fun to do.
Let's get started One minute ata time.

(00:59):
Do you dread Monday mornings?
Or, worse yet, do you reallyhate Sunday evening when you
start to think about Mondaymorning?
I get it.
If you have any kind of workanxiety or you worry about work

(01:19):
or you can't stop thinking aboutwork.
I have a way to decrease yourstress before you go to work,
and it will take you two minutesor less.
Go on over to CherylJReynolds.
com/ stress less and watch thevideo.

(01:39):
Welcome to my For HypnosisPodcast.
I am your host, cheryl.
This episode is all aboutasking a question, and I'm going
to ask you a question and thenyou can ask your question.
Sound good.
What if the answer you soughtwas already inside of you?

(02:02):
What if it could be found whenyou connect with the power of
your mind as you move into agentle hypnotic trance?
See, sometimes we are not ableto understand our own intentions
when we're in overanalyzing ofoveranalyzing and and wishing
that the answer is a directionor a way we want it to go.

(02:24):
Sometimes we need to pull backa little bit and usually, if we
can clear our mind and allowourselves to relax headspace
into headspace proper , we canfind the answer we seek.
Did you know another question?
I guess that your mind and yourgut, solar plexus or stomach I

(02:46):
kind of use thoseinterchangeably have the exact
same chemicals, but thedifference is you can't hear
your gut the way you can hearyour mind.
It doesn't speak the samelanguage.
It works through body sensation, a gut instinct, a sense of
knowing.

(03:06):
In order to hear your intuitionspeak, you need to quiet your
mind and you need to listen, orI should say feel, for the
answer.
So, that being said, are youready to tap into your head, gut
and heart connection?
Alright, so a few things Beforeyou get into this meditation.

(03:31):
I want you to kind of come upwith a question.
It should be open-ended, sothis means an open-ended
question usually starts with awhat, where, when, how or why.
If you could answer thisquestion with a yes or a no, it
is not open enough.
You can write your questiondown, you can put it in your

(03:52):
mind, but you need to have aquestion before you begin.
Then you can find a place whereyou're going to do this, a nice
place to sit so that you canhave your feet on the floor.
You're going to sit uprightwith your palms up.
You can light a candle if youlike.
You can put the lights down, but it should be in a quiet area
where you will not be disturbed.
If you were driving, do thislater.

(04:14):
I don't want you to get toohypnotic.
Okay, I want you to be safe.
And the last thing I want tosay is, if you want any
information on how to expandyour intuition, I'm going to
leave a link to another podcastepisode I did in the show notes.
Also, if you love thismeditation and you want to do

(04:36):
this over and over and overagain, I am going to provide a
link for you where you can get adownload portion of just the
meditation alone and that onewill have some nice soothing
music underneath.
Okay, again, it will be on theshow notes.

(05:13):
Are you ready to get the answerto the question you seek?
Sit up in a cozy chair, putyour hands on your lap, facing
your palms, upward feet on thefloor.
I want you to take a big deepbreath in and settle yourself.
That's right.

(05:35):
And I want you to bring yourattention down to your hands.
Notice your hands, your lefthand and your right hand, and
just notice how they're relaxing, where they are.
Pay attention to your righthand.
Notice it.

(05:55):
Now bring your attention up toyour right elbow and up to your
right shoulder and over to yourleft shoulder and down to your
left elbow and down to your lefthand and over to your right

(06:19):
hand and up to your right elbowand up to your right shoulder
and over to your left shoulderand down to your left elbow and
down to your left hand, overright hand, right elbow, right

(06:50):
shoulder, left shoulder, leftelbow, left hand, and just
settle yourself in.
And I want you to notice a waveof relaxation from the top of
your head moving all the waydown your body.

(07:10):
Notice the feeling and now I'mgonna have you send another wave
of relaxation all the way downyour body, but this time you're
gonna feel doubly relaxed.
Down and down you go Feeling sorelaxed, that wave going all

(07:36):
the way down to your toes.
Now bring your focus back toyour hands and just notice your
hands for a moment.
Your mind is very powerful.
Your mind make changes all thetime and your mind is aware even

(07:58):
of the things that you may notnotice.
But you'll notice them todayand you'll be able to make
changes as you see fit.
And the first thing you'llnotice is a change in your hands
, as you notice them beginningto feel warm, warm hands.

(08:19):
Your hands are relaxed.
Now notice your right hand andhow it feels warm.
And now you notice this righthand feels heavy, heavy and warm
.
Heavy and warm, so relaxing, sorelaxing.

(08:49):
Now move over to your left hand.
You notice your left hand nowfeels warm, heavy and warm,
heavy and warm.
So relaxing, so relaxing, sorelaxing.

(09:09):
Now bring this feeling ofheaviness and warmth all the way
down to your legs.
Your legs are becoming warm andheavy, warm and heavy.
So heavy, so warm, so grounding, so relaxing.

(09:37):
Right leg warm and heavy, warmand heavy.
Left leg Warm and heavy, warmand heavy.
So relaxing, so relaxing, andjust notice the heaviness and

(10:02):
the warmth and the feeling ofrelaxation all the way through
your body and as you notice howit spreads throughout your
entire body, your mind begins torelax too.
You also notice a sense of calmcome over you, that's right,

(10:27):
feeling so calm and so relaxed.
And as you settle into that, Iwant you to imagine a warm glow
around you and you feel thiswarm glow throughout your entire
body.
So relaxing, so calming.

(10:51):
Breathe it in and notice and payattention to your breathing.
You don't have to change it,you don't have to modify it.
You breathe as you breathe, relaxed and regular, relaxed and

(11:12):
regular.
Your breath is calm, yourbreathing is regular.
You feel yourself breathing, your body so relaxing, so
calming.
Your breathing is relaxed andregular.

(11:32):
And you move your attention toyour heart.
Your heartbeat is calm andregular, calm and regular.
And as you settle into thisstate of calm, you notice your

(11:53):
heart beginning to open.
Be receptive to this and noticethat your heart has your best
intentions.
Ask your heart what does yourheart know that you need to be
aware of?
Sit with that question for amoment Now.

(12:48):
Move that warm, glowing feelingdown and down to your solar
plexus, your stomach or gut area.
Notice your stomach feelingwarm and relaxed.
Warm and relaxed, and when youfocus on your stomach, you can

(13:10):
notice your intuition expanding.
You may even feel a smile comeacross your face or perhaps you
feel curious.
Your intuition always has yourbest intentions.
So ask your gut what does yourgut know that you don't know yet

(13:33):
?
Settle in and sit with thisquestion for a moment.

(14:14):
Your body feels very heavy, sorelaxed.
Warm and relaxing.

Now bring your attention allthe way up to your forehead and
just take a minute.

(14:39):
down and down your body andfocus your attention on your
forehead because it is cool andrelaxed.
Cool and relaxed just like achilled out mindset.

(15:00):

You even notice your thinkingis more spacious and accessible
to information.
You have a calm, relaxed mindand you always want the best

(15:20):
intention for yourself.
So ask yourself whatinformation do you have from
your open, hot and expandedintuition that you didn't have
before?
What do you know?
Now, and settle into thatanswer for a moment.

(15:43):

place them wherever you need to.

(16:46):

you do whatever feels right toyou.
Remember, make room for yourunconscious mind to bring you
more clarity and a deeperunderstanding of the answer you

(17:09):
seek.
Be present.
When you're present, your mindis open and able to bring in the
information that is there foryou.
You may find this informationshowing up as an intuitive nudge
, or your heart may guide you asit opens up, or perhaps your

(17:34):
mind may begin to realize thingsthat you may not know yet, that
you may not need to know yet,but when you're ready, you may
find these answers in a dream,in your day-to-day life, in a
conversation or anywhere else.

(17:55):
Let this work magic, asadditional information may show
up in the most peculiar ways.
Above all, have fun and trustthat when the information does
show up, you will know.
You will know.

(18:18):
Now it is time to take a big, deep breath in and exhale and
begin to come back to thepresent moment.
Move your body around, moveyour feet, move your hands,
start to adjust yourself andstretch.
That's right, put a smile onyour face and open your eyes,

(18:47):
welcome back, take a deep breathin and exhale.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
