(01:27):
com/ anxiety workshop for thisamazing workshop experience.
Welcome to Mindful Hypnosis.
My name is Cheryl, and I amyour host.
To be honest, I'm not a bigholiday person, don't get me
wrong.
I love the holidays, I enjoythe energy and the connection

(01:49):
and I even did a podcast episodeall about just kind of settling
in mindfully with the holidaylights, and I will link that
episode below because that's howI tap into the holiday season.
But I don't do well with a lotof people.
I'm a very outgoing person.
I can socialize and talk toanybody, connect with people,

(02:11):
but after the day's over I don'tknow about you, but I got to
recharge.
I need quiet, I need solitude.
I'm happiest when I'm alone andjust being able to settle my
mind.
If you're listening to this, this just might be something
you're going.
Oh yeah, yeah, I get it and youknow you can kind of call this

(02:33):
self care if you want to,because you need to make room
and space for yourself and yourbusiness.
I take to recharge myself andto keep myself going, cause I
don't burn out because I hadburned out before.
I only book a certain number ofsessions a day.
I get plenty of time for myselfto recharge and relax, because
I want to be a hundred percentwith the people I'm with and I

(02:54):
want you to be a hundred percentwith the people you're with.
Since the holidays are coming up, there are a lot more people in
events going on you may want tofocus more on protecting your
time and your energy.
You know if you have to go overto your not so favorite uncle's
house and you know it's goingto be a little difficult, or you

(03:16):
know that you're going to haveto deal with a long, drone
holiday party that you reallywish you could avoid, but you
got to be there Either way.
All these extra obligations andeverything that goes on in the
holiday and the busyness and thefast pace it's really hard to
settle yourself down.
So I want to help you do thatright now.

(03:39):
So I'm going to bring you on ashort guided meditation just to
let you recharge your batteries.
Now I have two disclaimers andyou know one of them, which is
please do not drive whilelistening to the recording I'm
going to be doing.
Just find yourself some placewhere you can sit and relax.
And the second disclaimer isthat we already know the best
battery that you can use torecharge yourself with our cats

(04:02):
and dogs, but we can't carrythem around while we can.
But you know what I mean.
So we need to try somethingdifferent.
Okay, now that we have thatdisclaimer out of the way
because I'm not going to denytheir power to kind of keep us
calm, but let's continue on.
So I want you just to take afew breaths and to settle in.

(04:27):
You know, for the next five, six, seven minutes, you got
nothing to do but listen to myvoice and I want you to focus
your attention on your hands.
Just put your hands out infront of you, notice your left
and your right hand, and I wantyou to take a minute to look at
your hands as if you've neverseen them before.

(04:49):
Notice the left and notice theright, and notice the space
between your fingers.
Notice and settle into thespace between your left hand and
your right hand and the spacebetween your hands and perhaps
maybe your eyes, and the spacefrom your hands down to the

(05:16):
floor and the space from yourhands to your body.
Just notice and the spacebetween your in-breath and your
out-breath and as you thinkabout the space between your

(05:45):
breathing, you can close youreyes down and you can also relax
your hands down on your lap, moving your attention all the
way down to your feet and justnoticing where your feet are,
where they rest, whether they'rein shoes or your bare foot or

(06:06):
whatever you're resting yourfeet upon.
Just notice how relaxing itfeels to pay attention to your
feet.
I want you to bring yourattention back up to your hands,
focus on your left hand for amoment, and I want you to bring

(06:28):
yourself back to a time when youmay have been a little
irritated by people, a littleannoyed.
When that image comes up, Iwant you to imagine yourself and
play with me, put that image inyour left hand, and I want you

(06:52):
to squeeze your hand tight, tight, tight, tight, tight and
open your hand and let that go.
Now.
I want you to focus on yourright hand and think of a time

(07:13):
where you were delighted bypeople, surprised even.
When that image comes up, Iwant you to put that in your
right hand and I want you tosqueeze your hand Tight, tight,

(07:36):
tight, tight, tight.
Now let that go.
It is so nice when we can justrelease and let go and, as you

(07:56):
do, just notice a wave ofrelaxation going all the way
down your body, all the way downto your feet.
That's right Now.
Bring your attention back up toboth your hands and now take

(08:18):
both your hands and squeeze themtogether Tight, tight, tight,
tight, tight.
Now let that go.
And here you sit, relaxed, listening to me, with empty

(08:42):
hands.
What's good about that is theleft hand can now be given
something wonderful to hold onto and the empty right hand can
now reach out and connect totouch the lives of others.
And now, because we have emptyhands, we can begin to recharge

(09:09):
our battery.
We can bring in and hold ontothe wonderful things that light
us up, that inspire us, thatallow us to carry ourselves with
the manner that we choose.
Lean in right now and just lendme your imagination, because I

(09:31):
want you to imagine a door infront of you.
This door, which you will notopen just yet, is the recharging
station in your mind.
This is where the access to theperpetual battery is found, and
in a moment when you enter thisroom, you'll be delighted to

(09:52):
see an array of all the leversand dials and everything that
you may need to make adjustmentsto your ability to recharge
your life.
Begin to enter this room, metaphorically speaking, of
course.
This is where you'll find theability to tap into your mindset

(10:17):
, maybe change your motivation, your desire.
This is the place where you canalso make a commitment to being
aware and of respecting yourown energy level and to making
yourself the best version of whoyou are.
Just notice and look aroundthis room.

(10:40):
It may be very detailed, ormaybe it's just very simple, or
maybe you hear and see and smelland notice everything in this
room.
You do whatever you do, which isperfect for you, but the one

(11:07):
thing you do know and you donotice is there is a sense of
peace, a sense of control, knowing that you have the
ability to adjust your energywhen you're around other people.
So, before you take a momentand get into moving anything and
adjusting anything, just settleinto your body and calibrate

(11:32):
for a moment, just noticingwhere your energy is and how you
feel right now.
For myself, I tap into my body, but I also notice a gauge on
the wall and I look at thecolors, because for me it goes
from red to green when I knowI'm fully charged.
You may see different.

(11:53):
You may know exactly how youfeel.
Maybe you tap into your ownbody, or you may see charging
lights or not.
Either way, your subconsciousmind will allow you and will
guide you into moving andadjusting these dials or these
levers in any way you seem fit.

(12:15):
So begin the adjustment now, anddon't forget to notice the

(12:35):
other dials that may be therefor you the dial of compassion,
maybe a lover of kindness, or abutton of patience.
You may even find a way ofincreasing your tolerance for

(13:05):
those who are driving youbananas this holiday season.
Maybe you'll flip a switch fora dose of mindfulness as well,
and perhaps you'll add somethingspecific to yourself that only

(13:25):
you know what you need.
That's right.
And as you increase the energyand the dial goes up and up,
you'll notice your energy levelbegins to rise.
You begin to feel morerefreshed, settled, recharged

(14:02):
and more relaxed, acceleratedand ready to be open and engaged
, and maybe more relaxed.
But pay attention to how yourenergy increases and how

(14:28):
wonderful it feels to know thatyou are doing this to be the
best version of who you are.
That's right.
Energy rising, batteryrecharging.
Maybe you'll take a moment toeven enhance your aura or create

(15:07):
a shield of protection that youcan put around you for anybody
who may annoy or irritate you.
And while you're at it, maybeI'll even give yourself a little
dose of holiday cheer why not?
I want you just to notice asyou're adjusting and settling

(15:35):
into this new recharged battery.
Just notice how wonderful you'llfeel and how different things
would be when you are good, whenyou are feeling great, and how

(15:56):
you will see yourself in a weekor two weeks from now when you
need to go to a family gatheringor a family reunion and the
normal scenario begins to, youknow, start to play out.
But this time things aredifferent because you are
different, your energy isdifferent and things cannot

(16:18):
remain the same if you change.
Ah, so good, so wonderful.
So take a moment and make anyadditional adjustments you need

(16:39):
to make and lock these in.
Then a moment you're going toleave the room, but before you
do know you can come back hereand make any adjustments you
need to and you should on aregular basis and know that

(17:04):
whenever you leave the room, your subconscious mind can make
adjustments automatically foryou when you need them, and it
will do so for the benefit ofyour energy level.
Now is the time to exit the roomand begin to come back here,
stretching your body, givingyour body a little shake, a

(17:27):
little shimmy, and opening youreyes.
Please don't forget to put awonderful smile on your face.
Welcome back.
I want you to remember thatthis does not only help you, but
it expands and containseveryone else in your life,
because when you are your best, other people get to be their

(17:48):
best.
Whatever that best may be andmay not be your best, but it's
their best, and this is our wayto tap into the holiday spirit
and to pay it forward, so tospeak.
This is a gift to you and tothem this holiday season, and I

(18:08):
will see you on the next episode.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
