In this episode, we uncover the hidden world of invisible inflammation. This kind silently disrupts your energy, mood, focus, digestion, and joint health without ever showing up on standard lab tests. From lingering fatigue and brain fog to unexplained anxiety and bloating, these symptoms are often dismissed, yet they’re strong indicators of chronic low-grade inflammation.

We explore the lesser-known root causes, including environmental triggers like mold exposure, toxic buildup, and hidden infections, as well as food sensitivities that trigger delayed immune reactions. You’ll learn why basic markers like CRP and ESR often miss the bigger picture, and how functional labs like the Organic Acids Test, hs-CRP, and food sensitivity panels provide deeper insight.

This episode explains how inflammation manifests in daily life, how to test for it accurately, and—most importantly—how to calm it through personalized protocols. Discover how foundational changes in diet, movement, supplementation, and nervous system support can help reduce the burden of inflammation and finally restore balance.

If you’ve ever felt inflamed, but couldn’t explain why, this is your roadmap.

(00:00):
Welcome to Mindful Objective, that podcast where we explore
the root causes of health concerns and uncover holistic
tools to restore balance. I'm your host doctor Daniel
Sprole, integrative health practitioner and professor, and
today we're tackling a silent but powerful disruptor of
well-being and visible inflammation.
So this is a chronic low grade inflammation that doesn't show
up in swelling or redness instead of hides beneath the

(00:22):
surface, showing up as fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, anxiety,
and symptoms that often get brushed off as normal or they
may get dismissed all together. You might have perfect lab
results but still feel something's off.
That's where conventional markers like CRP or ESR don't
always tell the whole story. In today's episode, we'll
explore how why chronic inflammation, what it really

(00:42):
feels like, how mold, infectionsand environmental toxins trigger
it, why food sensitivities, not just allergies, can drive immune
chaos. Functional lab tests like HSCRP,
the organic acid test and food sensitivity panels and practical
natural strategies to calm inflammation at the root.
If you're ready to go deeper, A mindful objective does offer

(01:05):
full functional testing and personalized protocols to help
you uncover what's inflaming your body.
And we guide you through real, lasting healing.
As always, this podcast for information educational purposes
only. We do not diagnose, cure, treat
any illness or disease. So let's go ahead and get
started. So when most people hear the
word inflammation, they picture a twisted ankle, swollen finger,

(01:26):
or maybe even a sore throat. Something that's usually
obvious, something acute. This is what we call acute
inflammation. It's a critical part of your
body's natural healing process. In short term, it's loud and
meant to protect you. But what happens when
inflammation becomes chronic andsilent?
This is where we enter the worldof chronic, low grade
inflammation, the kind that lingers beneath the surface.

(01:48):
It's usually not painful or dramatic.
It's subtle. And yet, over time, it can cause
just as much damage as infectionor injury, if not more.
Chronic inflammation is increasingly recognized as a
root contributor to a wide rangeof conditions, such as heart
disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, Alzheimer's, hormonal
imbalances, and it could even show up as depression.

(02:11):
But here's the problem. It's easy to miss.
So why is that? Because it doesn't always
present the obvious signs. Instead, it shows up as symptoms
that people chalk up usually as normal aging or stress, or
sometimes just they're being busy.
Some of the most common signs. Invisible inflammation would be
a fatigue that persists even after a full night's sleep.

(02:31):
Brain fog or you're always forgetting things during your
your daily activities. Joint stiffness, especially in
the morning or after sitting. Anxiety that doesn't have a
clear root cause. Bloating or gas even when you
eat clean foods. Skin issues like acne, eczema or
rashes. And another one would be mood
swings or just feeling off without explanation.

(02:53):
You're doing everything right, but you just don't feel right.
So if any of this sounds familiar or you're not alone.
These symptoms are signals your body's way of saying, hey,
something isn't right. But in most conventional
healthcare settings, they're often dismissed or treated in
isolation. So if your labs look normal,
you're often told there's nothing wrong.
And that's where we come in. This disconnect is why so many

(03:16):
people remain inflamed and untreated, right?
It's because traditional blood work like C reactive protein or
ESR, they can detect inflammation, but only when it's
high enough levels. And that's what we see a lot in
the conventional blood work, right?
If, if these levels are really off, it's been taking place for
a while, there's something definitely not right, right.
But subclinically, there's different kind of testing you

(03:37):
could do to see if you're in those optimal ranges or if there
are issues that a normal blood test can't detect.
So these tests are used for diagnosing things like
infections or acute flare ups and autoimmune diseases.
But if your inflammation is justunder the radar, conventional
testing is often misses it entirely.
That's where functional lab testing comes in, right?
At Mindful Objective, we use a suite of a more sensitive

(04:00):
comprehensive test that detect inflammation at the early
stages. We look for patterns, not just
out of range values, For example, the high sensitivity
CRP. This measures inflammation at
much lower levels than traditional CRP Elevated HSCRP
can be linked to a cardiovascular risk, metabolic
dysfunction, and chronic fatigue.

(04:21):
Even when other labs look fine, right?
If those labs come back normal, you know what?
We see something a little different here.
Another one would be organic acid test O test.
This is a urine test that provides A detailed snapshot of
your body's metabolic functions. It can reveal signs of oxidative
distress, neurotransmitter imbalances, mitochondria
dysfunction, and nutrient deficiencies, all which are tied

(04:42):
to chronic inflammation. Another one you heard us talk
about before is IgG food sensitivity panels.
So unlike allergy tests that only detect Ige reactions, these
panels assess delayed immune responses to food.
So when your immune system reacts to food you eat
regularly, it fuels inflammationin the gut and beyond.
So what happens once we identifypresence of chronic

(05:05):
inflammation? We don't just throw supplements
at it, right? A lot of places do.
We do not we take the time to understand why it's happening.
Is it to to? Is it due to poor gut health,
moldy home, chronic stress, a diet and high process oils and
sugars? Often times for a lot of people
we see it. This is a combination of several
low level stressors that build up over time.

(05:28):
So our protocols and mindful objective are highly
personalized. Based on your results.
We try to help you with remove inflammatory triggers from your
diet and environment, support your body's detox and repair
systems with targeted nutrients, rebuild a strong gut lining to
prevent immune overreaction. We want to help strengthen your
mitochondria to boost energy andresilience.
And we also want to reduce stress response using breath

(05:50):
work, mindfulness and adaptogens.
So we don't stop at symptom relief, right?
Our goal is long term solution. And how do we get you to that
resolution, that end point, thatend game, what you're trying to
heal and you've been struggling with this for many years.
For a lot of people, it's like, how do you get to the end goal?
The truth is, inflammation isn'tthe enemy.

(06:10):
It's your body's attempt to solve a problem.
But when the problem goes unaddressed, that's when fire
smolders for weeks, months, or even years.
It begins to burn through systems that were never meant to
endure it. It takes a big toll on our body.
It's slowly over years. Again, when's your health
important to you? A lot of people don't address a
lot of things. One, some people never address

(06:30):
them, other ones address so latein life that sometimes it's,
it's they're at a bad state, right?
But we could still help you rebalance that body so you don't
have to settle by just getting by, right?
If you're dealing with vague unexplained symptoms and you've
been told everything looks normal, it may be time to look a
little deeper. So inflammation is real,
especially invisible inflammation.

(06:51):
And once you see what it is, youcan finally start healing.
People can eat a pristine diet, exercise daily and meditate
regularly and still feel inflamed fatigue and off
balance. All right, a lot of us been
there. A lot of us are there.
The reason for this is because inflammation is an internal,
it's an environmental. Your body isn't reacting to just
what you eat or think. It's reacting to where you live,

(07:13):
work, breathe, right? That's why are you in that
stressful job and is it worth it?
Just sometimes you need to just walk away.
And for many, people with environmental triggers are
hidden drivers of chronic symptoms.
So let's start with a major and often overlooked culprit.
A lot of people hear this word mold, right?
That's a big issue. Mold exposure isn't limited to

(07:35):
like visible black spots on a bathroom ceiling that a lot of
people see and are familiar with.
Mold can be behind drywall, under floorboards and
ventilation systems, and anywhere moisture can be
trapped. So even a past water leak years
ago can lead to lingering presence of s'mores and
mycotoxins, right? And while everyone react,
doesn't react the same way to mold, those are more sensitive

(07:57):
and stuff. It can disrupt your immune
function, crease systematic inflammation, cause fatigue,
headaches, brain fog. It could also trigger
respiratory issues and skin reactions.
It could also make if you have anxiety or depression, it can
make it a lot worse. So we often see clients here
with long standing unexplained symptoms that don't respond to
diet or supplements until we test for mold, they would have

(08:21):
never guessed mold. But once we test that, sometimes
we come back with a major levelsare there and they never would
have guessed they had mold or mold in their house.
And some often have to move because it's certain
environments they're in. So that's where we use
functional lab testing the screen for these screen via
urine to confirm exposure when present.
We implement a multi layer detoxstrategy that includes binders,

(08:44):
usually liver support, drainage pathways and environmental
remediation recommendations. Do you need air purification in
your house? Do you need to have somebody
come in, test for mold? There's different things you can
do and that we help you step by step through that.
So now let's talk about hidden infections.
This is another key source of aninvisible inflammation.
These aren't infections you associate with like fevers or

(09:04):
antibiotics. These are more chronic, low
grade infections that can silently tax your immune system
for years. You might not even know they're
there, right? Some common offenders include
Epstein Barr virus, right? That's a big one.
I was going around, 'cause it causes mono, it's capable of
reacting under stress and driving immune responses.

(09:25):
Another one would be candy to overgrowth, right?
This is a fungal imbalance that drives in high sugar
environments and causes digestive issues, brain fog,
skin conditions, migraines and so forth.
Another one that's pretty commonis H pylori.
This is a bacterial infection inthe stomach lining that can
impair nutrient absorption, increase inflammatory cytokines.

(09:45):
Another long lasting 1 is Lyme disease and Co infections,
right? These are usually transmitted by
ticks. These can linger for years if
not properly treated. It'll affect your joint nerves
and even your mood, right? A lot of people don't know.
A lot of people find out they have Lyme disease 20 years
later. But there is testing you can do.
But because these infections don't always cause classic
symptoms, they often get missed or in standard medical testing.

(10:08):
That's why we turn to tools likeGI MAP, which is a stool test.
This helps us identify H pylori parasites and fungal overgrowth.
Another one we often talk about is that organic acid test, the O
test. This picks up the byproducts of
Candida and markers of bacteria imbalances.
Then we do have different kind of viral panels out there.

(10:28):
We use these when chronic Vertigo, autoimmunity are part
of the bigger picture. But when it comes to a toxic
load, the daily accumulation of chemicals and pollutants, your
body has the process. Where are they coming from?
And we talked about them on different podcasts.
But plastics, right? Pesticides in food and water,
household cleaners and air fresheners, heavy metals like

(10:50):
lead, mercury and arsenic, flameretardants.
That's in furniture and mattresses, curtains and a lot
of products out there. So that's why we push go for the
more natural, organic and look where it's coming from, what
country it's coming from, the different products you have and
do more research before you do this.
And it's same with clothing, right?
Because a lot of our clothing contain toxins and stuff too.

(11:11):
You got to identify where they're coming from, what kind
of factories they're coming from, what kind of materials
being used, the chemicals on those materials.
Those materials are against yourskin all day long.
So something to think about. So over the time these toxins
burn your liver, they'll slow your lymphatic system and
provoke immune responses. And if your detoxification
pathways are sluggish due to genetics and nutrient

(11:33):
deficiencies are stressed, your body has stored these in toxins
and tissues leading to chronic inflammation, right?
A lot of it gets stored in body fat.
So mindful objective, we assess your total toxin burden, right?
Urine test for heavy metals and chemicals.
Hair test, same thing. The hair mineral analysis for
long term exposure of heavy metals and your nutrients, mold

(11:54):
and VOC exposure can do these via questionnaires and history
and risk factors. Once we know what's present, how
we help you detox safely and effectively.
This isn't about extreme fastingor juicing.
Our protocols include usually like binders such as activated
charcoal, bentonite clay, zeolite.
This helps capture toxins. Other thing would be liver

(12:16):
support like milk Thistle and ACglutathione to aid and a detox
enzymes, drainage support, Castor oil packs, lymphatic
massage, dry brushing. This will help move the toxins
out of your body, right? And nutrient replenishment to
ensure your body has what it needs to cover right and you
have a proper electrolytes abouta proper supplements.

(12:37):
Again, we also work with clientsto reduce ongoing exposure.
Focus on cleaner air, water, food, personal care products are
essential maintaining long term results, right?
What's in that moisturizer you're putting on?
Are you making things worse? You see a lot of people, the
sun's out nowadays and a lot of people are putting all these
heavy sunscreens on that are laden with a lot of heavy

(12:58):
metals. So invisible inflammation is
rarely caused by one thing. It's often a result of multiple
low grade stressors adding overtime, right?
Environmental triggers are especially sneaky because
they're all around you, sometimes literally in the air
you breathe, right? How is our air outside when we
walk outside? Is it clean?
I don't think most people think it's clean.

(13:18):
When you see rainwater and you see your car afterwards, or you
go out and you had a car wash and then you look at your car
hours later after it's out in the wind and stuff and you
think, oh man, I just went for acar wash.
Where'd this come from? So just think you're breathing
that in. So the good news is once we
identify them, we can take meaningful steps to clear them
out of your body and work to help reduce them in your

(13:39):
environment. And we know we can't control
every toxin in the world, but you can control what your body
is exposed to on a daily basis. And when you do that,
inflammation drops, energy returns, and often times healing
begins. It's a slow process, but you
have to make that step. All right, you have one life,
that's all. So do your best to live it as

(14:01):
long as possible. So a few things are more
discouraging than seeking help for chronic symptoms, getting
your labs done. And here you always hear the
phrase everything looks normal if you've been there.
Frustration, you're tired, your joints ache, can't focus, maybe
have ongoing digestive issues orjust the mood swings out of
nowhere. You have no idea what's causing

(14:22):
them. And a lot of times you go to
your medical doctor and they shrug it off and say there's
nothing to worry about. Your doctor shrugs and says
there's nothing to worry about, that maybe it's all in your
head, maybe you just need to sleep more, reduce stress.
But here's the truth. When inflammation, even if your
labs are normal, you could feel miserable even with your CBCCCMP

(14:42):
and thyroid panel says otherwise, right?
The these labs might come back and look normal and they're not,
right? Because often times 2 normal is
not optimal. So the problem isn't you, it's
the system. Conventional labs are designed
to detect disease, right? Not dysfunction.
So that's where you hear a lot. Oh, and I went to my medical
doctor, ran labs, everything looks fine.

(15:04):
Again, they're designed to detect disease, not dysfunction.
So in other words, the results have to fall outside the wide
normal range before these red raised red flags.
But health isn't black or white. You're not either sick or
there's a huge Gray area in between.
And that's where most people are.
Chronic low grade inflammation fall.
That's where conventional lab tests do not detect.

(15:26):
So let's break it down. What typical tested from a
medical doctor and what's missing.
So your standard doctor might test for the following.
The common one is CBC which is acomplete blood count.
This helps for identifying anemia or infection, but tells
you nothing about inflammation at a cellular level.

(15:47):
CMP this is comprehensive metabolic panel.
This checks your liver and kidney functions but doesn't
show how well your mitochondria are are producing energy.
Another one would be TSH, thyroid stimulating hormone.
This is often used alone to assess thyroid health, even
though it doesn't show the full picture.
Then you have CRP and ESR. These are basic inflammation

(16:10):
markers and only detect moderateto spare inflammation, not the
kind that quietly lingers beneath the surface.
So if you're dealing with inflammation that's subtle,
systematic. Long term, these tests might not
be the pick for you. That they're still worth
getting. You should get your labs done
like that to diagnose a disease right from your medical doctor.
But outside of those, there's still something off.

(16:33):
That's where functional lab testing and mindful objective
comes in. We run comprehensive panels that
dig deeper, well beyond the surface and help you explain why
you feel the way you do. Some of our goal tools to go to
tools include HSCRP, which is high sensitivity C reactive
protein. This text picks up low grade
inflammation that can't be seen by standard CRP.

(16:55):
So even at a slightly elevated result, we can need to know
cardiac, cardiovascular risk, metabolic imbalances, immune
system agitation. We, we, we have the option for
that test and a lot often times we don't just based on cost and
stuff. The main test we do are these
next ones we'll discuss, which is organic acid test.

(17:15):
This is a urine test based that this is a urine based test that
evaluates hundreds of metabolic markers.
This offers usually insight to your gut health,
neurotransmitter balance, detoxification on nutrient
deficiencies and mitochondria function.
It's like a snapshot of your body cellular engine.
So that's old test is a very important test.

(17:36):
So if you're going to get one test done, I would say organic
acid test is a great test. Another great one too is a food
sensitivity test. These tests assess delayed
immune reactions to foods, reactions that don't cause
anaphylaxis. It's not swelling your throat
shut, but it results in inflammation, joint pain,
fatigue, skin issues. It's especially helpful for

(17:58):
identifying hidden contributors to gut inflammation and brain
fog. Then another one we often do is
stool testing, which is AGI MAP.This is useful for identifying
infections like H pylori parasites, candida overgrowth
and more. This test often uncovers A
stealth infections that contribute to, you know,
constant inflammation but aren'tpicked up on blood panels.

(18:21):
So when your labs finally match your symptoms, it's incredibly
validating, right? We like to see those numbers,
but that's just the beginning. From there, we developed a
targeted plan based on your testresults and health history.
So again, a mindful objective. We never use A1 size fits all
protocol. If your oat, your oat reveals
oxidative stress and low Coq 10,we support mitochondria health.

(18:43):
If your food sensitivity panel show reactivity to eggs,
almonds, and dairy, we guide youthrough an elimination and
reintroduction protocol while supporting your gut lining with
nutrients and glutamine and quercetin, for example.
We also assess how your lifestyle factors come into
play, right? Sleep, stress, movement, these
are all contribute to inflammatory load.

(19:04):
Even something as simple as latenight screen time can spike
cortisol and keep inflammation elevated overnight.
What are your cortisol levels? Are they normal where they're
high in the morning and low at night?
Or are you reversed to where you're low in the morning and
high at night? Right.
This is what we want to see. The beauty of this approach that
empowers you. You're no longer chasing

(19:25):
symptoms. You're following data, right?
Let's look at that paper. Let's see what's on there.
And then you can finally say, I finally found out what's causing
my problem, right? That's why it's nice to run
these kind of labs. So you could actually see it and
say, finally, I found something. So you're working with your
body. The goal is to work with it,
right? Not against it.
And this shift is profound. Clients often tell us for the

(19:48):
first time they feel like their body makes sense.
They understand the connection between the extra cup of coffee
and their afternoon crash. They may also realize that their
random bloating was tied to specific foods.
They start sleeping better, thinking clearer and feeling
more energized, not because they're taking a magic pill, but
because they finally gotten answers.
I think that's the struggle thata lot of us face over years and

(20:08):
years is the medical doctors go do all this testing.
They never find anything. And I mean, you got to be
thankful there too, but on otherside as well.
I now I'm you spend all this money in your nose.
Better off than you were prior to spending that money because
you didn't get any answers, but you did all this testing.
We hear it a lot. A lot of people, oh, go for
this. They did this blood work, they

(20:29):
went for this MRI, they did. They're doing this test and the
medical doctors say we didn't find anything.
But now let's look deeper. Let's look at that subclinical
level and let's let us run functional labs and let's see
that deeper analysis of what your body's actually doing and
how we can help you rebalance that.
So again, if you're ever told your labs are fine, your body

(20:49):
disagrees, trust your instincts. You know what it feels like to
be well, and when you're not, you feel it.
You know it, and only you can know that, right?
Nobody's walking in your shoes. And each person's body is
individualized. What works for one doesn't work
for the other. So you have to identify how you
feel and the things that you make you feel good and feel bad.

(21:09):
But you also know you're the only one that could say that you
either feel well or you don't feel well.
A medical doctor cannot say that.
So don't settle for normal, aim for optimal, right?
We don't want to get you out of that normal mindset.
Your lab work came back as normal.
That's not optimal. You want to be that optimal
ranges to where your thyroid is working optimal, not just
working and same as your other hormones too.

(21:32):
Again, don't settle for normal when we're here to help you get
there. Another one we'll talk about is
the food you eat, right? Is it your friend or is it your
fault? So we all heard that you are
what you eat, right? We hear that saying a lot, but
here's one better You are what your body can tolerate, absorb,
and properly use. So that's better than what you
eat. You are what your body can

(21:54):
tolerate, absorb, and properly use.
So food is foundational to health.
It fuels your energy, builds your cells, supports your immune
system, and even influences yourmood.
But what happens when the food you eat, maybe even the healthy
one, start triggering inflammation?
That's where the concept of foodsensitivities come in, right?
We learned about this with a different trusting testing that

(22:14):
Geraldo did and stuff and his issues he was dealing with and
he was just one of the millions and millions of people that do
these food sensitivities test that identify that not all
things are allergies, not intolerances, their
sensitivities. So let's clarify the difference.
Food allergies, typically Ige, these are immediate and often

(22:35):
dramatic thinking. When you think of a food
allergy, think of hive swelling or difficulty breathing.
You know it right away. That's a food allergy.
Food intolerances like lactose intolerant, those are more
mechanical, so your body lacks an enzyme to break something
down. The resolve bloating, gas,
discomfort, running to the bathroom, that's a food

(22:56):
intolerance. Again, lactose intolerant, food
intolerant. Then you have food
sensitivities. These are typically IgG or
complement mediated are these are auto, not auto, but these
are immune reactions that are delayed.
You might even react to food today and not feel well symptoms
until tomorrow or the day after or three days after, right?

(23:18):
And these symptoms aren't alwaysdigestive.
Food sensitivities can lead to brain fog, headaches, joint
pain, fatigue, mood swings, skinbreaks, congestion, even post
nasal drip, anxiety and irritability.
This makes it increasingly an incredibly difficult to pinpoint
without proper testing. You might think eggs are fine

(23:39):
because they don't cause immediate issues.
But when your immune system seesthem as a threat and launches a
slow inflammatory response everytime you eat them.
So again, you eat them on a Monday, Friday you're having all
this neck pain, shoulder pain, whatever you've realized after
food sensitivity and stuff and you eliminate that for a while,
find out eggs were causing that joint pain, right?
That neck issues and stuff. So again, a mindful objective.

(24:01):
We always, this is our go to lab, one of our go to labs.
So we tell clients who feel stuck even when they're eating
clean. A lot of them cut out junk food,
eliminated gluten or dairy and still feel bloated, tired and
inflamed. That's why we turn the food
sensitivity testing. Let us actually run that test to
see the numbers. Then we can identify, Yep, this
is where you have an issue or no, you know what, these are

(24:22):
clean foods for you to eat and you're not having a reaction to
those. When we use those IgG panels
often pair with like C3D testingto detect foods that are quietly
provoked immune activity. These tests go beyond guessing,
right? It gives us a road map to your
unique biology. The process still at that point
doesn't end with the test. In fact, the food sensitivity,

(24:43):
that's where it begins. We guide clients through usually
a three phase protocol, right? Usually phase one elimination.
We temporarily removed the reactive foods for a period of 6
to 8 weeks. This gives immune systems time
to calm down and reduces inflammatory load.
Next thing we want to do is Part2 is repair the body.

(25:03):
So during the elimination phase we don't just wait, we actively
repair the gut. This may include L glutamine to
strengthen your intestinal lining, quercetin to calm mass
cells and histamine responses, zinc to support your mucosal
healing. Another one would be probiotics
and prebiotics to rebalance yourmicrobiome.
Another one we often do is digestive enzymes to assist with

(25:24):
the nutrient absorption. And then the last part of it we
do reintroduction. So after say the eight weeks, 12
weeks, depends on on your specific situation, we want to
reintroduce the food. So after your gut has chance to
heal, we introduce food slowly and strategically.
So one at a time with careful observation.

(25:45):
The goal is to expand your diet, not restrict it forever.
So most people regain tolerance once inflammation decreases and
gut permeability improves. So you know, you got to enjoy
life, you don't want to go forever without eating
something. You want to have a a wide range
of foods you can eat. And often times after 812 weeks
you are able to reintroduce those foods and get on the new

(26:07):
normal, the new healthy normal view.
But we don't just focus on bad foods, we also teach how to eat
more clean, eat the good stuff, real and inflammatory foods that
nourish and regulate your immuneresponse.
So some of these would be leafy greens such as kale, spinach,
arugula, fatty fish, salmon, sardines.

(26:29):
You want us to also eat colorfulvegetables and fruits rich in
the polyphenols, spices like turmeric, cinnamon and ginger,
right? These are good for you.
Moderation fermented foods for some like sauerkraut and kimchi.
That depends if you could tolerate those.
And remember, your gut is the frontline area of your moon
health. If that barrier between the food

(26:49):
and your bloodstream becomes compromised, your immune system
is forced to overreact. This is known as leaky gut or
intestinal permeability. It's a major driver of food
sensitivities. So we often pair the food
sensitivity test with GI map or granic acid test to evaluate gut
flora, pathogens, markers, inflammation and malabsorption.
That way, we're not just treating the reaction.

(27:11):
Again, we do not diagnose, cure, treat.
You're not focused on rebalancing and looking just at
a reaction. We want to fix the terrain,
right? That's the ultimate goal.
A diverse, nutrient rich, enjoyable diet that supports
your long term health. No Fear based eating, no endless
elimination, right? This doesn't have to go on
forever. Just properly rebalance your

(27:32):
body and welcome food back. So just you understand your what
your body needs and what it doesn't, right?
You need to understand that clear picture so foods can be
your great ally or your silent enemy.
With the right insight, though, it becomes the most powerful
tool in reducing inflammation, restoring balance.
But that's another reason why I always say track your food,

(27:53):
right? A lot of times people could
track their food and just based on tracking their food, they
could identify some foods that actually cause issues.
So once you uncover what's driving and driving the
inflammation, the next step is to take real action.
But not all anti-inflammatory advice works for everyone.
Again, everybody's individualized, so you know what
works for one may not work for the other.

(28:14):
So that's where we do things. Slow and identify.
Try this, let me know how you feel.
You don't feel well, OK, let's eliminate that.
It's not for you specifically. So the key is to focus on
foundational strategies and tailor the details.
So here's what really works. Number one is daily movement.
Consistent movement reduces inflammatory cytokines, even

(28:36):
something as simple as walking. You don't need to crush
workouts, just same for 20-30 minutes.
Circulation boosting movements daily #2 would be
anti-inflammatory foods right? Prioritize good foods.
Fatty fish, salmon, sardines, those colorful vegetables and
berries, olive oil, avocados, walnuts, those spices again,

(28:57):
turmeric, ginger, even Rosemary. What you want to avoid is
processed seed oils, canola, soybean, rain, fine sugar,
excess alcohol, artificial additives.
Hopefully those are gone soon out of all of our foods few
years. Another #3 would be on nervous
system regulation. So chronic stress fuels

(29:19):
inflammation. Daily practices like deep
breathing, meditation, vagus nerve stimulation could be
humming, cold therapy. These can all lower cortisol and
calm your immune system right? Gentle yoga, Tai chi just
getting away, getting away from work, getting away from that
mind state, thinking positive, listen to positive music.

(29:39):
Relaxing, right? You don't always have to watch
TV, close your eyes, lay down, put some soft music on.
Just relax #4 would be smart supplementation, right?
That's where we come into play amindful objective.
We personalized supplement protocols based on test results.
Popular options include a curcumin right?
This inhibits a key inflammatorypathways.

(30:02):
Another one we say a lot is Omega threes.
These support they reduce cytokines and they cytokines and
they support brain health. Magnesium glycinate is another
one. This cause your nervous system
and support sleep and we may useadaptogens too like Ashwagandha
rhodiola. These support a stress response

(30:22):
#5 would be restorative sleep. So poor sleep drives
inflammation. We usually guide clients to
establish a wind down routine. Are you just going from TV,
phone directly to sleep or are you slowly doing it?
Now I'm watching TV, it's 8:00 now.
I'm going to read a book for 20 minutes.
Then I'm going to go upstairs, go lay down.

(30:42):
Then I'm going to maybe read a little bit more than I'm going
to turn. Go to sleep right, Limit blue
light, use magnesium or herbal blends if needed.
And you want to prioritize 7 to 9 hours consistently, not just
when you get time off. You want to get your sleep
right? So you don't need a complicated
plan. You just need a plan that's
consistent, personalized and practical.

(31:04):
That's what we build here, mindful objective 1 protocol at
a time. Again, it's a slow process.
Nothing happens overnight. And that's where we come and
walk you through, hold your handand kind of identify who you are
as a person, right? Individualized.
Not like going to a lot of conventional practices where you
just, they look at one thing, you just a another number and

(31:27):
they say, oh Yep, levels look good, you're fine, I'll see you
in six months, see you in a year.
But that's not what we do. Again, say we run functional
labs, even if you have conventional labs already, you
could send them to us too. We could take a look at those
and see where the gaps are. But on the functional lab side,
we'd say we'd look at those and say, OK, we look at these
functional labs, we identify where rebalance is needed and

(31:49):
then we step one, Step 2, Step 3, but work with you three to
six months to identify what's wrong and help your body
rebalance itself and hopefully heal you get you in the right
direction. Then you compare that, that
takes subclinical three to six months.
How come I go to my doctor once a year and they don't do any of
this stuff? It's a totally different field.

(32:09):
That's not what they're trained to do.
So again, no fault of their own. That's just what a medical
doctor does. So that kind of, I hopefully
people walk away with something on this.
It's again, it's a slow process.People don't I think take that
to heart and understand that things take time.
And I know a lot of people just take a supplement one day and

(32:30):
think they're healed or hey, it doesn't work.
But again, it's throw a slow process, three to six months.
Let's really see that change andlet's rerun those labs and see
how your body's improving. And just based on your symptoms,
you often times say, you know what, I used to get migraines
seven days a week. Now I'm getting them once a
month. Those people are in heaven.
Feeling that that's a slow process, right?
Skin reactions and stuff. Hey, my skin's clear now after

(32:51):
four weeks, six weeks, some people feel like they have a
new, brand new look on the outlook on life because that
they've been struggling for years and years.
And now they finally have answers.
Now they finally know what to doto get their body on the right
track. And so again, that's where we
walk with you and go to that partnership, like, hey, let's
work together for the next threeto six months, every month.
Let's go through this, see how you feel.

(33:13):
Maybe you need this supplement, you need to run this test, you
need to do this. But how do you feel for six
months from now? You wish you did this 10 years
ago, 20 years ago. So that kind of wraps it up for
this episode. Invisible inflammation is real.
It's the root of so many unexplained health challenges.
As always, this podcast for information and educational

(33:33):

care or treat any illness or disease.
