Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm also on like a YT
, so I do that for later on so
that I can have an awesomepodcast.
So if I'm going to do aneducational part or something
like that, I will try to.
These slides are recorded tothrough for tt, so they're there
.
Thanks for coming.
I appreciate it.
Um, so the discussion is oh hi,how are you nice to meet you.
(00:57):
Thanks for talking about you.
Know, again, say hello.
What's going on?
Sometimes I will try to dodifferent lives.
Eventually it will get moreinto what days will be.
What One day will be aneducation one, one day will just
be a hang-on.
You can always ask me anythingany way.
(01:21):
Info there, things of engage, smile, connect with people or
share, you know, let people know.
I'm talking about the digestiveenzymes, biggest.
I'm talking about the digestiveenzymes.
(01:56):
So what is digestive enzymes?
So digestive enzymes areproteins produced in your body,
okay, and they're to break downfood into smaller, more
absorbable molecules.
They're essential for digestion.
They're needed for nutrientabsorption.
They're needed so that invarious stages of digestion,
(02:20):
your body is able to from themouth.
People have to understanddigestion starts.
Gi track starts from the mouthall the way out to your chest,
okay, so your GI tract is allthroughout and what you put in
it will be a direct reflectionof what you get out, literally
included.
So reason there's been like abig hype about it is there's so
(02:41):
many functional medicine peoplethat are like, oh, you have to
take my thing, take that thing,I don't really care what what
you take.
I'm just trying to explain toyou why digestive enzymes are
used.
So what happens is main typesof digestive enzymes are used.
There's um, we'll go over thedifferent ones.
So there's amylase, and amylasebreaks down carbohydrates, um,
for simple sugars.
(03:01):
There's proteins, which isbreaks down proteins and amino
acids.
Then you have um.
Think of it like the proteasealso includes trypsin and
chromotrypsin, which is usuallylike in the turkey.
Usually when people are like,oh, that has trypsin in it,
(03:22):
it'll make me tired, that's onethat breaks that down.
Sometimes when you eat too muchprotein, actually it can
actually make you tired.
Lipase breaks down fats andfatty acids.
So what happens is someindividuals, when they don't
have the right amount of lipasein their body, they'll end up
with lipomas or they'll end uphaving gallbladder issues or
(03:42):
liver, fatty liver, and itbasically means is that their
body is not breaking down theamount of fat or they're
consuming too much fat thatthey're not able to break it
down.
Lactase most people that havelactose intolerant which I am
lactose intolerant they don'thave the proper enzyme, lactase,
to break down the lactose andthe sugar and dairy.
(04:04):
So that's where most peoplehave that dairy allergy.
What happens is when you don'thave these digestive enzymes,
these digestive enzymes willactually cause an inflammatory
response, will cause adisruption in the body and the
immune system and you'll findthat there's usually some sort
of dysregulation.
Majority of individuals shouldbe making this on their own in
(04:27):
their body without having totake a supplement.
The problem is, is there'sdifferent reasons why digestive
enzymes are not available andcause problems?
So maltase converts it's anotherone called maltase and that
converts sugar from starch.
So think of it.
It breaks down anytime you eat, like a candy bar or potatoes
(04:50):
any potatoes like mac and cheese.
Some sort of carb that'sglucose, sucrose is breaking
down actual like sugar sugar, solike table sugar, into glucose
and fructose.
You're going to think, you'regoing to remember these are.
Glucose is energy, so it'senergy to then produce so that
it goes through the body.
I will share my screen at somepoint.
(05:12):
I will probably share it on myvideo.
So I will have this on my YT atsome point so that you can see
the video of me sharing thescreen, if you want to check
back about that at some point.
So then you can see what I'mreading off of and how it how
(05:33):
it's going.
Okay.
So I was talking aboutdifferent types of maltate
sucrose.
So how does it work?
So digestive enzymes act as acatalyst and they speed up the
chemical reactions thattransform like big food that we
have and eat and then it itmakes energy right, it helps us
(05:54):
grow, it helps us have nutrients, helps us have.
So we're not bloating andcramping.
What happens is when we don'tproduce the right ones and we
have a lot of inflammatoryresponse, it isn't being broken
down.
Majority of the time it'sactually because you don't have
enough digestive enzymes.
So in this one specifically,we'll go over the ingredients
but shake it once a day.
(06:15):
Now there's different ones.
This isn't the only one that Iwould say is good.
It's not bad.
I like it.
In this one it haspre-probiotics.
It's got peppermint, bromelain, amylase, protease and, like we
were talking about the differentones, lactase protease,
cellulose glucanase,alpha-glucanate, laconate lipase
.
It has a variety of digestiveenzymes.
(06:38):
So, due to that, the idea is tohelp with getting your gut back
into a balance.
The concern is, sometimes we'renot always doing that right, so
we're not always getting it towhere it needs to be.
Now, the reason people are notdoing it is because the foods
(07:02):
that we're we've, you know, haveright.
What kind of foods are youingesting?
Um, this one specifically hasum pre and probiotics.
Like I've said, it's intentionand the research on it is it's
reducing your bloating.
It's supposed to help withnutrient absorption.
The idea is to aid in breakingdown any difficult foods that
(07:22):
you want to eat.
Provides relief.
Their research itself is thatit's limited.
On this one, they haven't testedit Like it's not.
Third, pretty fully tested, other than it's like an organic
blend.
It doesn't have any byproducts.
How do you use it?
These are just one capsule aday and they're over the counter
(07:48):
.
Now, um, regulations on that.
So this one has, uh, artichokeroots.
That's like that prebiotic.
So, prebiotic, think of it likeum fibrous, more fibrous, kind
of things.
Um, hey, what's up?
Nice to meet you.
Hope you're having a good day.
Um, think of this ismanufactured, doesn't have any
allergens, so it's not made from, like soy, gluten, dairy eggs,
(08:11):
those kind of things.
The fda did not.
You know it's not diagnosed totreat or cure, prevent it's.
You know supplement.
So you still have to.
You know with caution anythingum, but you know the ingredients
themselves.
You can see they are.
I'll even um online.
I'll show you they're larger,right, they'll have.
(08:32):
It's about 16 digestible enzymes.
Now I did say to you that yourbody will eventually and produce
enzymes, so it's not that wenecessarily need it.
So there's the artichoke root.
That's like the fiber.
The idea is you need fiber tokind of get through the gi track
in the stomach.
But then you also need theprebiotic, which is the good
(08:53):
flora back in to bring back the,the lining, so it's not as
inflamed.
Peppermint tea and peppermintleaf is very therapeutic in the
sense of it settles the stomach.
And then the digestive enzymesbromelain is for inflammatory
response, and then the otherones are all the other digestion
(09:13):
enzymes.
Now, does everybody need everysingle one of these?
Not necessarily, but it ispretty effective and it's easy
to take early.
But it is pretty effective andit's easy to take In some manner
.
Most people will be benefit fromone of their digestive enzymes
because most probably due to thefoods that we eat.
(09:34):
They are deficient.
We are deficient in some mannerand I bet you, if I went and
did your blood work, I will seethat it's been a deficiency.
Also, too, when you find thatyou're more bloated, you have
headaches, you have gas or somesort of not even just bloating,
even if you just have pain, orcertain foods bother you,
(09:55):
digestive enzymes are usuallydeficient, and it's because the
foods that you eat.
So let me get back up here.
Why does this happen?
People ask me what is it?
So the main reasons.
Let's go back.
So, digestive enzymes.
Like I said, they work by givingyou nutrients.
Now, what's the what's thecause of that?
(10:17):
There's no big cause.
It's not that one is bad or youknow you're saying anything
like.
It just means that in your body, most of the time, you should
be able to take those enzymesand it would be fine, right,
like you should be able toabsorb them and we'll be fine.
(10:37):
But most of the time, becauseof aging, because of
inflammatory response, becauseof many, many things, mostly, if
someone's sick, like if theyhad a um, digestive or ibs
issues, those individuals wouldprobably have to take this more
often.
But I found that um, those arejust like burping, bloating and
(10:58):
gas.
I've been able to give themthese and it's been quite
effective.
Um, same thing with the?
Um the bloat gas probiotic.
This one's got the pre andprobiotic, it's got the
artichoke and then it also hasadditional enzymes, so the two
together.
The reason they put those twotogether is it's still got the
pre and probiotic in there, it'sstill got the artichoke leaf or
(11:20):
um herbal, um fiber and thenthe enzymes.
On this one is lactase, whichis usually why people bloat, and
the alpha-glactosidase is onefor breaking down in the colon.
So it helps with some of theexcess foods.
(11:40):
And the other one, thedigestive edelwein alone.
I actually think that one isthat itself is just fine.
You I actually that one is thatitself is just fine.
You could take that one andit'd be just fine.
Um, and majority of the time itis made in the stomach, in the
small intestines.
The problem is is with agingand inflammatory and immune
response.
If there is a degradation ordecrease, it can contribute to
(12:03):
digestive enzyme production,which means that there's a
decline and what that means isthe pancreatic enzyme secretion.
Studies show that people thatage their measurable decline in
pancreatic and exocrinesecretion and that digestive
enzymes such as lipase, chromotypsin, amylase, they both
decrease in volume.
(12:24):
Stomach and small intestines.
When those decrease, smallintestine walls, then an atrophy
.
So over time you'll hear a lotabout leaky gut.
You'll hear about the lining ofthe stomach.
People have ulcers, people haveupset stomach.
Why is that happening?
That happens?
The degraded the junctionsbetween um the stomach lining,
(12:45):
those little cell junctions.
They're supposed to be slightlyseparated, but when they get
really separated they um causelike low levels of mucus and
they're not slippery anymore.
So the lining of the stomachand the gi tract is supposed to
be nice and smooth so that itcan, you know, have nice
peristalsis, which meansmovement instead of negative
movement, so that it can movearound, get the poop out and get
(13:06):
the things out.
But what happens is thehydrochloric acid and the
enzymes are decreased and thenutrients is decreased because
they're not able to absorb theprotein properly and then it
becomes a problem.
Older age the enzymeadaptability decreases.
So obviously, when you become alittle older nice to meet you,
thanks for coming in You'llnotice that older adults they
(13:26):
may reduce the ability to adaptto enzymes.
So those individuals wouldbenefit from digestive enzymes
majority of the time, but theycan even just do herbal teas and
such to help with theinflammatory response.
Big ones are chronic stress andinflammation.
I talk a ton about this.
Um, why is chronic stress andinflammatory?
(13:49):
Impair the digestive system anddecrease digestive enzymes in
this conversation.
And it's because the gutfunctions and it damages the
cells.
It's because once it damagesthe cells, stress damages cells,
makes them irregular andthey're not able to work
properly.
Think, like you know, you'vegot a square and a square, or
you know peg and hole and thatgoes in nice and nice, nice,
(14:12):
like peg and hole worksperfectly fine.
But when you have one that'sdegraded and then you've got the
degraded peg, it's not able togo into the hole and it's not
able to absorb and work in itsproper function.
So due to that those lockingkey mechanisms in the body are
decreased.
So whether it's from chronicstress or inflammatory responses
, elder age, you know, maybesomeone has a genetic component,
(14:35):
but most of the time clientsand patients that I see it's
because of a degrade of theirdigestive tract due to chronic
stress, inflammatory and foodthat has slowly degraded them
over time and due to that theirritation has caused them.
They call that slightly leakygut, but overall just
inflammatory and bloatingprocess.
It can be improved within athree-month period with changing
(14:59):
diet, modifying their stresslevels, putting in hydration and
lifestyle management and thenadding the proper salt.
So this is one option.
It's, it's um useful um.
And then the clinical impact ofwhy digestions and aptic line
also, is that um, it just leadsto, you know, from common
intolerances to food foods thatwe're, you know, around and
(15:20):
things like that.
So those are big things, likeum estrogen deal.
Oh, nice to meet you.
Oh, nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
Hope you're having a good restof your day and you know, and
there's a lot of research onthis, so not necessarily that is
this, but what there's a lot ofresearch on why, aging, hi nice
to meet you.
What's going on?
How are you dishing it up?
(15:40):
I'm going to follow you guys.
Anyone that comes in, I'mdefinitely going to follow you.
So I really appreciate reallife in the 60s.
I love that, love that, lovethat.
You're welcome to be a guest.
I should put more guests inhere.
Let me see if I can add youguys, your tablets on the car,
(16:05):
all right, and then.
So we're just going to talk alittle bit more and then we're
done for the day.
So I don't know.
You apologize.
Okay then.
Okay, so we talked about that.
The next part is the probioticpart.
(16:26):
It's similar to the digestiveenzyme in the sense of it has
pre and probiotics.
Pre and probiotics are soprobiotics themselves are like a
fibrous.
We'll first talk prebiotics.
So prebiotics are a fibrous, kinds of foods that you want to
(16:50):
eat, therefore the body.
Usually what happens is itbenefits the gut, but it's
things that are naturallysourced.
So think of it as like garlic, onions, leeks, potatoes, bananas
, oats, apples.
The body needs it to, you know, move things along, but it
doesn't always break it downnecessarily, but it's helped
(17:13):
with digestion and the guthealth, um, and it balances out
your blood sugars because itkind of like almost attaches to
some of the glucose, um, and ithelps with your overall immune
and metabolic health.
Okay, so that's the prebiotics.
Now the probiotics.
Like when you're talking oneversus the other, prebiotics are
not necessarily digestible, butprobiotics are live bacteria,
(17:34):
so usually they're good or bad.
They feed on the good bacteria.
The probiotics, the prebiotics, the good bacteria is what you
want.
You want to balance it throughthe bad bacteria.
Your body is made of good andbad bacteria from the mouth all
the way out to the tush.
Thanks for joining in and Iappreciate you Enhances your
body through that.
Now how can you make moreprebiotics in your diet?
(17:57):
It's pretty easy.
You can have garlic, you canhave green bananas, you can have
flax seeds, apples I mean themore um, fruits and veggies,
majority of the time in somemanner, that's prebiotic
probiotics.
Um, you do have to adjust.
Probiotics that people haveusually done are usually like a
kimchi or a um um, what is itcalled?
(18:17):
Kombucha?
You can, you can do that.
You can get the probiotics thatway where you have to um,
ingest them.
But usually there are somenatural ways to get the
probiotics that way where youhave to ingest them.
But usually there are somenatural ways to get the
probiotics.
So you know, these are justoptions of supplement pills.
It doesn't mean that those arethe only ways, but usually what
happens is you know, lactobacillus is a pretty big
one People, people like kefirand also to help with bloating
(18:42):
and stuff.
So when you combine those two, that is usually very helpful.
So that is kind of myconversation about bloating and
digestive enzymes and the use ofit and why it's effective.
Oh, what's in here, sunny?
What's in here, my love?
What are you looking for?
And then I'm just going to puta music break.
So music break.
(19:04):
I'm going to end this.
I hope I helped.
If you have any additionalquestions when to consider to
use, or if you're going to be aguest, you're welcome to.
There's so many multi-strains ofprobiotics and prebiotics.
There's so many things thathelp boost your immune system.
You know you really need thatto help your gut microbiome.
(19:25):
You've noticed people that havesevere acne usually have a
deficiency in their probioticsand their gut health is
absolutely usually significantlydecreased.
Or there's a genetic component.
Majority of the time it'sbecause there is a deficiency in
their microbiome and there's alot of skin conditions.
A deficiency in theirmicrobiome and there's a lot of
(19:46):
skin conditions.
Also additional, those patientsor clients that have allergies
or severe genetic allergies andyou'll see more skin problems
and they do benefit from qualityomegas and probiotics.
So those are usually veryhelpful and that is my
discussion for today.
I can also discuss a little bitabout saffron and how much I
(20:08):
love saffron.
Saffron is actually prettyexpensive, so if you can get it,
even in a small dose, it'shelpful around for thousands of
(20:29):
years.
Um, the reason it's a goldenspice is that it is used to help
.
Um, it's a culinary, you knowfood but it is a natural
antidepressant.
It's used I like to offer itfor relaxation, kind of like a
cabin meal or peppermint.
Also nice to meet you.
Um, hi, how are you, maria?
Mary, mary Davila, nice to meetyou.
It has eye health benefits, likehelping with visual, like it's
(20:51):
an anti-inflammatory.
So the idea of any sort ofanti-inflammatory helps with
circulations by opening up andgetting a person to have
anti-inflammatory properties, person to have any inflammatory
properties, such as like moodsupport, antioxidants, of the
compounds to help reduce.
Now, in reference to weightloss and appetite suppression,
(21:13):
it can help and manage some ofthat slightly due to its
benefits of relaxation andsometimes you may feel full
because when you're eating'reactually absorbing the proper
nutrients.
When it comes to eye and hearthealth, it's regulating the
blood pressure because it's avasodilator.
It's opening up and buildingmore circulation.
(21:33):
Um, and you know it's improvingyour metabolic.
You know, nice to meet you.
You're welcome to come in if youhave time and sometimes I think
it's very helpful at sleep time, sleep and morning to kind of
get you through the day andinvolved in cortisol.
You don't want to have morethan 30 milligrams per day on
(21:55):
that one and for some people youhave to still make sure you're
not having allergies.
So those kind of things.
Some people will make goldenmilk.
Well, you can put, like saffronor a turmeric option, um with
milk and or you can put it intosome baked goods.
This one's just a pill form ora powder that's pretty easy to
take.
But there's other options outthere and if you have any other
(22:19):
questions, please reach out tome.
I'd be glad to help.
I'm here to guide and connectwith you.
I have have a podcast everyFriday and Wednesdays.
I will be live for sure and tryto connect and see if I have
other live days available.
I will connect with you.
I'm glad if you come in thisroom.
I put in there, you know, double tap, you know if you want
(22:39):
to say hello, if you want tojust connect.
I appreciate that.
Thanks so much for coming in.
If you did come in, Iappreciate you being on this
live.
Thanks for all of your support.
It's been nice to chat with afew of you.
I know you guys are all busy,so do what you got to do and I
(23:00):
hope you enjoy your day.
I'm going to try to invite onemore person on here.
See if they're not busy, but ifnot, that is that All right.
I'm going to say hello to onemore person if they're in the
mood to be on.
Looks like they're busy, soit's all good, you guys have a
(23:20):
good rest of your night.
Okay, I'm going to put a littlebit more music on, just for fun
.
