Speaker 1 (00:20):
Welcome to dis guided mindfulness meditation on accepting yourself just
as you are. I invite you to find a comfortable position,
allow your body to be alert yet relaxed, starting to
(00:47):
recognize all of your muscles and your body and realize
where you can release tension. And as you start to
bring that focus to your body, you can also start
(01:08):
to bring attention to your breath, the ever present flowing
of air in and out, and bringing your focus to
(01:32):
relaxing all of your muscles each time you exhale. Just
take a few moments to enjoy the space that you
(01:53):
are in. Enjoy just being here and present, your body
and mind and soul all working together in unison. And
(02:21):
as you focus on this, remember to let your breath
be your anchor and let it guide you to finding
those spots of tension in your body, allowing you to
(02:43):
be so present, so aware, and just comfortable right here
and right now. Focus on the space that your body
is touching, whether it be the ground, or a chair
(03:09):
or a bed. Just allow yourself to sink in a
bit with each breath. Let that gentle feeling of weight
help you to feel grounded and secure and know that
(03:35):
you are safe in this moment, safe and present and aware.
Enjoy a few more moments doing this process right now. Great,
(04:35):
And as we continue and you are here in this warm,
comforting place of presence in your body and mind, I
invite you now to turn your attention to self acceptance.
(04:58):
I want to first remind to you that we all
make mistakes, we all fail at times, we all need
to pick ourselves back up. We are often our harshest critics.
(05:23):
We judge ourselves for these mistakes and shortcomings and forget
that we are all human and imperfect. But when we
focus on self love and self acceptance, we can cultivate
(05:47):
a sense of self compassion and an understanding toward ourselves,
helping us to learn from mistakes and know that we
can get better and do better all the time. But
(06:11):
the imperfections, now they are okay. I now invite you
to repeat these short affirmations if you like. These three
short phrases will begin now in this moment. I accept
(06:41):
myself as I am. I acknowledge both my flaws and stress.
(07:13):
I embrace my entire being without judgment or criticism. Great,
(07:33):
it can be an important part of our process of
getting through each day to remind ourselves that failure is
a natural part of life, and it is simply a
part of the road that leads to success. Failure does
(07:56):
not define or diminish our worth, And the important goal
to remember is that you can learn and grow from
any of these mistakes, and they become opportunities for continued
self improvement. Showing your self love and acceptance will actually
(08:25):
help you to reduce failure and find greater success, because
you will have confidence in yourself and you will be
motivated to work through any failures that may happen. And
(08:47):
so again, with each inhale, breathing acceptance and self love,
and with each exhale, release any lingering feelings of self
doubt or criticism, breathing in acceptance and self love, exhaling
(09:16):
self doubt and criticism, accepting yourself right here and now,
just as you are, knowing that you are enough. And
(09:41):
so as we come to the end of this practice today,
there will be a few more minutes of music if
you would like to reflect on these ideas, But I
invite you and encourage you to carry the sense of
self an acceptance that you have cultivated here with you
(10:05):
as you go about your day. At this point, You
may choose to return to the rest of your day
or night, or sit with these ideas for just a
bit longer, but I remind you once more you are
(10:28):
worthy of love. You can navigate challenges and obstacles with grace,
and you are worth celebrating each day. Each morning that
you wake up is worth celebrating your life and your being.
(11:00):
Enjoy this as you go forward into the coming days.
Thank you so much for joining me today, and this
guided portion of the meditation will end now.
