Nushi Yapabandara is a high school chemistry and computer science teacher in San Jose, CA. She teaches grades 9-12 and is one of her many passions, along with racial justice, disability rights, and animal rights. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics and Public Policy in 2018. The following May, she completed her Masters in Education with a concentration in teaching from University of the Pacific while simultaneously earning her preliminary teaching credentials. In addition to teaching high schoolers, Nushi is also currently a full-time student at San Jose City College pursuing two certificates in Data Analytics. She is a lifelong learner and is always excited to hear new perspectives and explore foreign concepts.
