While patrolling aboard the recon vessel MCV Goulburn, Sergeant Ranger Bison and Corporal Jason Nynx intercept a rogue distress signal - one traced back to the AEF Dreadnaught, an unknown deep-space research facility.

Continuing the events after the transmission was received by the Twi-Light crew. Aboard the AEF Dreadnaught research facility, Captain Morgan Reynolds and his second-in-command, George, are caught in a situation that has already slipped beyond their control.
