One of the CORE wounds we have as a society, is the masculine wound

I found this out myself while healing myself - I embodied this HARD CORE.

And this isn’t a “male” wound - rather it is an energy form

Women, men and non-binary humans embody this wound

Many religions and wars and governments are based upon this wound Control/power/greed and domination are the negative energies of this “wound”

The masculine side of the brain is logic/analytics/numbers/execution/momentum and when it is strong and solid, it can be very powerful and helpful.

And we've been trained collectively to shut down the feminine side of our brain (again we ALL have this energy inside of us as well)

For thousands of years we have been imbalance and in the “wound” phase as a planet

Many cultures were started based upon this wound….and is why we are in the world we are today - with money/sales/power/keeping up with the Joneses’ is so much the focus Consumerism and numbers is the focus in this kind of wound

And instead of protecting the feminine….it has created more of a dominant energy in the world - shutting down our love/compassion/forgiveness side of ourselves (yes, women especially have tried to become more like men in many ways, shutting down their feminine side)

The masculine wound inside of me (which my father/husband/brother and most male mentors/religion that I attracted in my life embodied and shared with me me from nearly day 1 in my life) shows up as any or all of the following and caused some kind of pain in my life - and most likely is part of your healing path as well:
  • defensiveness,
  • overcompetition - very driven - win no matter what the cost
  • over focus on money or sales
  • Manipulation (getting what you want, no matter what),
  • addictive behaviors or codependent behaviors (looking for answers outside yourself)
  • burnout,
  • need to be "right"
  • Controlling or control freak
  • Overly analytical/over thinking - busy mind (ego)
  • emotionally unavailable
  • Disassociation
  • All or nothing mentality - which stems from possible lack/scarcity
  • wearing a mask or "faking" it til you make it pressure  (as within, so without!)

Where do you notice these tendencies in your life?

Which male mentors (or female) embodied these types of behaviors and/or tendencies in your life as a child?

Where in your family lineage/ancestral DNA did these types of personalities show up?

How do you embody these?   Any dis-ease?  Health issues?

Financial issues?   For this wound carries with it a lot of lack/scarcity….and blocks prosperity

Any childhood events come to mind when you read these words above?

Today we talk about this and how to start the healing process

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
