“Thread in Our Fabric" series. In World War II my grandfather Thomas James Frasure served aboard the USS Franklin. Franklin went through numerous battles and lost over 1000 men in combat, but my grandfather survived and served with distinction. His 3 sons served (James, Carnel, and Charlie), 4 grandsons served (Michael, Benjamin, Thomas, and Andrew), 3 great-grandchildren (Andrea, DeJon and Willie) served in the military honored due to his heroism. Our family has seen that you give back by service and you serve with honor and pride.
