In this episode let's dive into the mindset blocks that keep us stuck waiting for the “right time” to get support in our finances and business. I unpack the subconscious reasons behind delaying help, why waiting until you “arrive” only holds you back, and how this belief can sabotage growth and success.

I’ll share practical strategies on how to shift your perspective, let go of guilt or shame around getting help now, and introduce simple steps like the brand new Money Clarity Audit to finally break free from overwhelm and start moving forward with confidence today.

(00:00):
Have you ever caught yourself saying, once I hit that next income goal,

(00:03):
then I'll finally be able to get help?
Or maybe it sounds like once Ifigure out this one thing, then
I'll be able to outsource, thenI'll be able to buy this program.
But here's the thing that somedaynever really comes, does it?
You'll hit this milestone, butthere's always another one, and maybe
you haven't hit that milestone yet.
There's another expense though.

(00:24):
There's another fire to put out.
Another reason why nowisn't the right time.
You have to continue to wait and even, and if you've been caught in that cycle,
this episode is for you because todaywe're talking about what's really going
on subconsciously behind the sceneswhen that help feels out of reach.
While waiting until you.

(00:45):
Arrive only keeps you stuck.
And how to shift into a place wheresupport becomes available to you
right now, not just in the future.
So let's get to it.

(01:06):
This is Money Simplified, thepodcast where I help female
entrepreneurs go from stress andstruggle to unstoppable with money.
Money is more than just budgetingand p and Ls, and we're gonna
take you through all of it here.
We blend proven financial strategywith mindset work and energetic
alignment, so you can create unstop.
Finances, build an unstoppable businessand truly enjoy your unstoppable life.

(01:29):
It's time to take my wisdom andmy expertise to help you simplify
money and go beyond the numbers.
I'm your host, Aimee Cerka.
Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
Welcome back to Money Simplified.
I'm your host, Aimee Cerka.
We are breaking down today the desiresthat are really underneath that.

(01:49):
I'll wait till I can get help thinking, the misconceptions that you keep.
Believing that are delaying things foryou, the actions that you might be taking
really, that are keeping you stuck.
And of course we'll talkabout how to reframe it all.
I'll show you a couple solutionsthat like how you can have
that path forward and get help.

(02:11):
Now, not until you have this woo-hoo,I've arrived moment that newsflash
doesn't really ever show up.
Okay?
So at the heart of it, right?
When we look at, it's not just thisincome milestone that we're looking at.
One of the most popular episodesI've ever, ever, ever done is called,

(02:33):
it's not about the money, becauseit's not really about the money.
It's what the money can do for you.
And that's where we work on changing.
How we feel about money, taking thefear out of it, the guilt, the shame.
So it's a tool in your pocket.
You have this thing that works with you.

(02:54):
It's not this monsteryou're running away from.
So it's not about hitting thisincome goal, it's about the
breathing room that you can have.
It's about being able to takeyour kids on ice cream runs or to
Chick-fil-A or whatever it might be.
And feel.
Okay.
You want to feel like everything, the weight of the world is not

(03:14):
on your shoulders all the time.
Okay?
Right.
We want the peace, we want theclarity and that sense of momentum
fulfillment, where you know, likeyou're actually like you've done it.
You've built the thing.
Like that success there.
Okay.
And support and the right kind of support.

(03:35):
'cause we're gonna get to that.
Uh, I don't know when that episode'sgonna lie in the next couple weeks
about, you know, secret ways thatyou're sabotaging yourself with money.
And there is something that comes to mind.
It's like red flag.
Red flag, red flag.
So make sure to stay tunedover the next couple weeks
when we talk about that, okay?
But the right kind ofsupport is what helps you

(03:57):
have that breathing room.
It's not, we have to wait untilwe have it, but there are ways.
Like you're, you don't have to earn it.
The waiting, like, I, I'm not there yet.
I'm not there yet.
Gets you stuck.
Okay.
So if we're saying things like, once Imake the money, then I'll be able to help.

(04:18):
Um, we can also be sayinglike, getting help before I hit
the income is irrresponsible.
I need to prove I cando this on my own first.
I hear that all the time with bookkeepingbecause it's not rocket science, right?
Like it's.
Sounds easy, but it's notnecessarily your zone of genius.
And even though like I offer bookkeepingcoaching and I teach you how to do

(04:42):
your books yourself if you are notready to hand it off, and I love doing
that because if you're not gonna handit off, I want you to at least do it.
correctly There are so many times thoughthat I see we've worked on this so
that you can do it yourself, but it'sholding you back because you're spending.
Five, seven hours minimum amonth or at the end of the year.

(05:08):
And you might not even be in likeyour accounting software that much,
we'll say like QuickBooks, okay?
You might not be in the softwarethat much, but the brain space that
it takes up or the avoidance, right?
And you, you're not doing itmonthly, then you gotta catch it
up at some point, and then there'smistakes made that cost you money.
You're missing out on deductions.
So many different things show up.
Okay.

(05:29):
But that I have to do it on my ownfirst, or I should be able to do
it myself because this is easy.
That's that waiting that Ishould be able to do it myself.
Okay, those thought, they're sneaky, they sound responsible, right?
Like it sounds like it's,that's what it should be.
I should be able to do thisthing, but it's actually.

(05:50):
Sabotaging you.
So what happens, right?
Like you work harder,we're hustling, right?
You're trying to out earn the problem.
You put off these decisionsuntil later, telling yourself
like, I'll figure this out.
I'll get support.
I'll do these things when I, air quotes.
Get there and you'll piece together.
You know, a YouTube strategy, anInstagram strategy, email, whatever.

(06:11):
The bookkeeping, again, budgetingso many different things
that we can pull up, right?
And all of this reinforces the.
Belief that I can't have helpwith this until I hit this thing,
or I can't buy into this programuntil I hit this income goal.
But in the meantime, we're not escapingthe same stress, the same patterns,

(06:32):
the same money beliefs that you'vebeen carrying around for forever.
. This feels almost like you wait tostart drinking water until after
you've already ran the marathon.
By the time you get there, like you're exhausted.
Even if you could make it througha marathon without drinking water.
Like your body's in survival mode.

(06:53):
And as somebody who's been working alot on nervous center regulation, there
was an analogy that came up recently.
Your nervous system feels like you'rebeing chased by a cheetah right now.
Okay?
Being chased by a cheetahand you gotta go, go, go.
You gotta go do the things.
That's one of the things that Isee most with entrepreneurs, and

(07:14):
that's the one I relate to the most.
So here we're going with it, right?
You're being chased by a cheetah.
But then you find that somebody'slike, you should do meditation.
You're being chased by a cheetah.
Like sitting down and doinga meditation right now is not
happening because you're gonna die.

(07:35):
It's all there is to it, right?
Like you can't physically handlethat because you're running away.
We gotta have support along the way.
Yes.
Meditation, journaling, so many ofthose different exercises, so many of
the things that I talk about, right?
So many of these differentmoney habits are amazing.
They work like we need to dothese things, but the thing is

(07:58):
you gotta be able to do 'em.
And if the cheetah is chasing you, you're still doing the same habit.
Like you can't stop and do that.
This is where we take it fromlike logical knowing to then
there's like a belief, okay?
So we've got logical knowing youcan logically know what to do.
And then the belief part.
You believe that it's true, but even ifyou believe that it is true, the voice

(08:21):
in the back of your head is like, thereis still a cheetah chasing me or, yeah.
Right.
That won't work for you.
You've tried this before.
Then there's a third level thatembodiment and if we were watching on
YouTube like it, it is layers and thelayers are going down because it's like
that sense that, you know in your gut.

(08:43):
It is not head knowledge.
It's moving beyond that,
and this is why
so many entrepreneurs, I think, end up burning out and quitting.
We know statistically that 50%, I'mtrying to what the updated statistic is.

(09:04):
I looked at this recently, 50% quitwithin five years, and I see this
all the time, like as many podcastinterviews, summits, guest experiences.
Appearances.
So many things.
I've got a lot of them, and I'mgonna say a lot because I think I've
missed some linked on my website.
Okay.
But when I do my quarterly check onmy website for bad links or whatever,

(09:26):
without fail every single time, it'slike some of the links are no longer
valid because people have quit, they'vewalked away, and I don't know that
you walk away from entrepreneurship.
You don't walk away from your business.
I'm sure there's some people who arelike, okay, yeah, well that wasn't for me.
I didn't really want that, but how many walked away?

(09:48):
Because they didn't feellike they succeeded and I
felt like they had no choice.
And this waiting to gethelp until you arrive.
When we keep moving the line onourselves and then we're making
it way harder than we need to.
Okay.
So if we're using themarathon analogy like.

(10:09):
I'm trying to think of what would slowyou down on a marathon for crawling maybe.
Okay, we're crawling instead of walking orrunning, like if you can get the support
while you're doing the marathon, you'regonna finish the marathon that much faster
and it feels so out of, out of reach.
I totally understand that and I'mgonna give you a solution in just
a second, but this, it's gottawait thing is sabotaging you.

(10:35):
I had, um, a client call.
Or a discovery call with a potentialclient recently, and we were talking,
it was like, and I know that Ihear this quite frequently because
I love the Unstoppable experiencecontainer that I have, right?
It's a 12 month group mentorshipprogram because you have everything.
But I know, I know that.
I know that I know not everybody's readyfor the unstoppable experience yet.

(10:58):
And I say yet because I believethat there is a large majority of
those people that like is going tobe the right time at some point.
And I believe that you'll enrollin the Unstoppable experience
when it is that right time.
But just because you're not readyfor the unstoppable experience
doesn't mean you can't have support.

(11:18):
And this call that I was on recentlywith a potential client, we had,
um, a discovery call session.
We were talking about the private coachingand the way that I structure things and.
Truly like we design the package, the amount of support that you
have around where you need tobe right now with your budget.

(11:43):
I don't have just the standalonelike it's X price or X price.
Like that's not how I operate it,because I know that support is valuable.
And if it's once a month that we'reworking together, then it's once a
month that we're working together.
But you're still having the value in that.

(12:07):
It's still important andyou can get support now.
The truth is help isn'tsomething you have to earn.
It's not a reward for finally arriving.
It help is something that you haveto allow now and be open to it.
This is the key here because if youbelieve you can't have it right now, that
it's somewhere you have to get to, it'snot gonna work, and that's the problem.

(12:33):
The problem is you haveto believe it's possible.
Now, I think I shared this storyon the podcast, but I had a program
that's been on my list to invest inprobably for about a year, and I knew
what I wanted and it felt outta reach.
It felt outta reach.
It felt, felt out of reach.
And I went ahead and I was like, okay, well I'm gonna go through the motions

(12:53):
because I believe this is gonna show up.
So like getting clear, I had a claritycall with that coach to know like what
tier of the program was gonna be rightfor me and where I'm at in my business,
et cetera, was like, okay, I don'tthink it's gonna be right now, but I'm
going through the motions so that I'mready when the funds for this show up.
Notice we're not spending thingsout of like way outta reach.

(13:14):
That's not what I'm talking about.
There can be a stretch, but then therecan be too much, and again, that staying
busy as an avoidance technique, we'regonna get to that in a couple weeks.
It's gonna be a really good episode.
But I went through the process oflike, okay, this is what I'm expecting.
I'm doing everything that Ineed to for this to show up.

(13:35):
What are my options?
Went through that call.
Two days later, the incomeshowed up or the money showed
up to pay for the program.
Would that have happenedif I hadn't done the call?
I don't know, but I went through themotions that I was ready on my part,
and the belief that it's gonna showup, the belief it's gonna work out.
The belief that you can have help now.

(13:57):
You have to be open to the possibilityand believe that it's gonna work for you.
That you can have these thingsnow that it's not something
you have to get to eventually,
because when you can have thesupport now before you arrive, I also
don't think we ever really arrive.
We stopped delaying our resultsbecause we're putting it off right.

(14:20):
So I'd love to hear what's anarea that you've been wanting
support and it's felt outta reach?
Is it something with the numbers?
Because if so, if you've beentelling yourself like, okay,
I'll get to that point later.
I'll join the unstoppableexperience later, I'll
outsource my bookkeeping later.
I want you to, I want to inviteyou to take a very simple, or.

(14:42):
