Part 2: On this episode Danny sits down with friend, lawyer and jujitsu Sensei. Jonathan ‘Jak’ Kocienda has been litigating and trying cases for 25 years. In those 25 years, he has spent 20 years practicing in medical malpractice representing both the defense side and the plaintiff’s side at different times in his career. Jak has made a name for himself in that time as one of the leading medical malpractice attorneys in the state, and he will be bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to Connecticut Trial Firm where he will lead our medical malpractice division. Jak has also traveled nationally to lecture on significant issues involving medical malpractice liability and exposure.
Jak is dedicated to his work and pursuing justice for his clients who were wrongfully injured due to medical negligence. His self-discipline was learned from practicing Japanese Jujitsu and self-defense for 18 years. He has now been teaching Jujitsu for 10 years and has trained local and state law enforcement officers in the art of self-defense.
