Just happened. A few minutes ago, Tom was over

And I was like. Did you just find that right now

(03:22):
street at the Goodwill from yourhouse, he said.
There's a name on the inside cover, and sure enough,
someone's first, middle and lastname is written.
Presumably someone who has mortar bunts.
So of course. I Google the name and what I
what I find is a Go Fund me pagethat was posted on April 1st of

this year asking for donations for this woman who has stage 3B
ovarian cancer and stage 1 uterine cancer.
She is battling cancer. She is single mom.

She is struggling not just with morgolons, but she's in a fight

(04:08):
for her. Life that puts.
A lot of things into perspective, doesn't it?
I sent her an e-mail after I hadmade a donation to her GoFundMe,
which hasn't been updated since.April. 5th so I don't even know
if she's still alive. I.
Really hope she is God. I pray she is and I hope I hear

(04:30):
back from her. I hope she will be willing to
come on this show. And tell.
Her story. Which would also probably help.
Her go fund me which she has not.
Reached her goal yet? I can't.
Even imagine what she's going through, Ma'am, We're very
lucky. We're very lucky.
Dear Miss. Lee I.

(04:51):
Hope this message finds you withmoments of comfort and strength
in the midst of your healing journey.
I came across your name in a rather moving way.
A copy of Ginger Savely's book Morgalons was donated to
Goodwill and your name was handwritten on the inside cover.
I felt. An instant sense of connection,
recognizing that anyone who owned this book likely carried a

(05:11):
story worth hearing. In looking you up, I came across
your GoFundMe and I wanted to begin by saying I'm truly sorry
you're having to face what you are.
I know how isolating and exhausting serious illness.
Can be. And how few?
Spaces exist. To hold that truth without
trying to fix or flatten it. I host a podcast called More
Morgolons, which gives voice to those of us who've lived through

(05:32):
things that medicine, media, andsociety often dismiss or
distort. Your voice struck me as one that
could offer profound insight andcourage to others walking
through complex, often invisiblebattles, whether with morgolons,
cancer, or both. If you're open to it, I'd be
honored to have you Share your story on the show in whatever
form is most comfortable for you.

(05:54):
A short recorded phone call withme, or simply a voice memo.
You record and send in whatever is easiest on your energy.
You would absolutely be welcome to speak about your GoFundMe and
any message you'd like the community.
To hear. My hope is to amplify not just
your story, but your strength. There's no pressure or timeline,
just a real invitation. If you'd like to connect, you

(06:17):
Thank you for being a part of this story, whether or not you
choose to participate with warmth and respect.
Crystal clear host of more morgalons.
It's. Been a month and I still haven't
received a response. I'm still thinking about and
praying for you, for all of you.June 10th, 2025 I receive an

(06:43):
e-mail from a gentleman who saysI don't think I have more than
days. To be honest, I've lost 30 lbs
in a week. No matter how much I eat, it's
pinning me down because it's travelling through me into the
earth. Plastic etcetera.
I have it. On camera.
It's a worm as big as me that controls everything else.

(07:04):
The sound in that emergence episode is here.
It's 24/7. It's either when it creates
something, teleports them, or swimming through metal.
Objects, etcetera. It made a bug by command.
Please help, I'm lost. I can't go on much longer, won't
have too much time left. I'm 34 with an 18 year old son.

(07:25):
I don't want to. Die please, no one understands
or will even watch my videos I wrote back the same night.
Dear Beep, I got your message and I just want to say I hear
you and you are not alone. You are not alone in this.
I don't have the answers but I'mnot turning away either.
What? You're describing.
Is horrifying and overwhelming, but you're not crazy.

(07:48):
Your body's doing something extreme and your perception of
it is not for me to judge. Let's start with what we can
name. You said you've lost 30 lbs in a
week. That's severe and something real
is happening to your system. Have you had any labs done
recently? Thyroid Electro Thyroid
electrolytes. Blood panels.
Anything. If so, I can help look at the
numbers as a. Friend.

(08:08):
If not, I can suggest what to ask for if you end up in the ER.
Not because I think they'll believe everything, but because
it might help get a. Foothold.
I know how impossible it is to get help when no one sees what
you're seeing. But you reached out and that
tells me something in you still believes this story needs to be
heard. And I agree.
I'm here. I'll read what you send.

(08:29):
I'll look. You don't have to carry this
alone. When did this start?
Has it been escalating over timeor was there a clear event?
Whatever. This is Parasite.
Field. Disruption.
Something born from systems we haven't named yet.
If it's trying to erase you, we won't let it.
You're not invisible here. Crystal, Crystal.

(09:07):
June 12th. Hey, are you alive?
The 16th? If you're out there and you're
alive, come back. Come back when you can.
We're all here waiting. We're all alone in this
together.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
