What do you do when God’s process feels painful, confusing, or completely opposite of what you prayed for?
In this episode of the More Than Just Pretty Podcast, I’m sharing how God recently revealed something powerful to me—on vacation of all places! Through moments on a Disney cruise and even the storyline of The Little Mermaid, I realized that the pain we often feel in the process is not punishment—it’s preparation.
Sometimes, we ask God for breakthrough, direction, or favor—but then reject the package it comes in because it doesn’t match our preference. But His ways are not our ways. His thoughts are higher. And what doesn’t make sense to us in the moment often becomes the very thing that saves us.
If you’ve been in a season of waiting, confusion, or wrestling with disappointment… this is your reminder that God’s plan is always better, even when it’s not easier.
Let’s talk about:
• Why God’s process can feel painful but is never wasted
• How fairytales and biblical truth collide in powerful ways
• What the story of Ariel taught me about calling, sacrifice, and surrender
• Why the delay or detour might be divine
• Trusting God’s timing when it’s not your preference
