Nannette (00:13):
I think there are new
people that don't know who the
hell we are.
So, that are joining us, youknow, midstream.
Brad (00:19):
That's valid.
That's valid.
Nannette (00:20):
And if you are joining
us midstream, you should go back
and listen to the very firstones.
So you know who we are.
Brad (00:26):
Welcome.
We appreciate your jumping on tolisten.
So this week we are going totalk about our trip to New
Orleans.
Nannette (00:33):
We are returning and
reporting.
Brad (00:35):
Yes, we are returning and
reporting.
So we're going to talk aboutthat trip and some of the crazy
things that happened to us whilewe were there.
Nannette (00:43):
Yeah, hold on to your
pantyhose, guys.
the ride is wild, Welcome to theMormon to medium podcast, where
we'll talk about spirituality, the paranormal religion, and my
journey going from Mormon tomedium.
I'm Nanette Wride.
Thanks for listening.
Now let's go have some fun.
(01:11):
Okay.
We have a show for you today.
It's kind of wild.
We were there and it was kind ofwild, but just telling the
stories back to each other werekind of,
Brad (01:21):
well, there was a lot.
Right.
So, so new Orleans.
Wow, what an amazing city.
The architecture is absolutelybeautiful.
The historic buildings, even thenew buildings, you know, in the
downtown area and the industrialareas.
It's all just such a, such aneyeful to see.
(01:42):
All of the differentarchitecture, and textures, and
shapes, and colors.
Nannette (01:47):
different architecture
and textures and shapes and
colors.
Shapes and lines and buildings.
And like, he didn't takepictures of just normal shit.
It was like,
Brad (02:05):
That's normal
Nannette (02:06):
no, no, no.
This is like artsy fartsy gaystuff.
Like,
Brad (02:10):
Artsy fartsy gay stuff
really we're gonna go like that.
It's it's salad.
So I Don't have a problem withthat.
It's okay I do
Nannette (02:28):
they're interesting
there.
Brad (02:30):
No, they are and you know
here in the West, we don't tend
to keep buildings like thataround.
We just tear them down and buildsomething new, rather than
going, Oh, wow, this is a reallybitchin building.
We're going to repurpose it tobe something else.
Like, the Airbnb we stayed inhad been an Ironworks building,
and they made iron there.
Nannette (02:50):
interestingly, um, one
of our friends that came with
us, so our friends, Kristen andWylin came with us to New
Orleans or we came with them, whatever.
Um, there are besties.
And
Brad (03:00):
interestingly, he's
Nannette (03:01):
a history buff and he
was telling us how the ports
there were being used during thewar.
And cause there's a World WarMuseum there.
And, um, I wasn't aware, butthey made like the ships there
in New Orleans.
So chances are the place thatour Airbnb was, is one of the
places that they built some ofthe metal for the parts for the
(03:24):
ships.
Brad (03:25):
Yeah, they built a lot of
different ships there.
so very interesting history toNew Orleans beyond just what a
lot of people think.
And Wylin actually, if you don'tknow him, he was on episode 66
and episode 67 of the show.
So go back and listen to thatand you can know who we're
talking about when we referencehim.
but we had a fantastic time.
(03:46):
It was Kristen's birthday.
Nannette (03:47):
Yeah, she did not let
us know it was her birthday,
though.
Yeah,
Brad (03:50):
Yeah.
Happy birthday, Kristen.
Nannette (03:51):
Happy birthday, bitch!
Brad (03:53):
Happy birthday!
Nannette (03:54):
To you!
Brad (03:56):
We made sure to let people
know all day she hated it.
Nannette (03:59):
it.
She totally hated it.
Brad (04:01):
But we loved it, and
that's what really matters.
Nannette (04:04):
it fun.
Yes, it
Brad (04:10):
Yes, it was.
Anyway, You know, we went thereand we really wanted to look
into some of these hauntedlocations, right?
We talked about Muriel's and wewent to Muriel's.
We talked about the LaLaurieMansion and we went to the
LaLaurie Mansion.
We talked about the St.
Louis Cathedral and we went tothe St.
(04:30):
Louis Cathedral.
And we are gonna share ourstories with you guys to let you
know what we felt and what wethought while we were there.
Nannette (04:39):
you guys ready?
Brad (04:40):
So which one do you want
to start with, Ms.
Nan?
Nannette (04:42):
Ready, set, go!
Murials?
Okay, let's talk about murials.
Brad (04:46):
Muriel's.
Alright, we're going to talkabout Muriel's first.
Pro
Nannette (04:51):
Pro tip, by the way,
if you want to have some of the
very best food in New OrleansAnd some really great drinks,
and some atmosphere that you'reprobably going to see a ghost or
two.
go to Muriel's.
And bypass the dining areabecause there'll be a waiting
time.
Go straight to the bar.
And they serve food
Brad (05:10):
you can get the full
dining room menu at the bar,
which is what we did and itworked out perfect.
So when we got to Muriel's andlet's set the stage here a
little bit.
So as You align yourself withthe French Quarter.
The main thing that everyonerecognizes is Jackson Square,
right?
(05:30):
Big park area with a giantstatue of Andrew Jackson in the
middle on a horse.
Behind that, directly to thewest, is the St.
Louis Cathedral.
Nannette (05:42):
And
Brad (05:43):
if you go to the right of
St.
Louis Cathedral, um, the nextstreet over, is where Muriel
sits, right on the corner.
Nannette (05:53):
Well, on each side of
the St.
Louis Cathedral, though, is thePresbytere.
And I forget the name of theother building, but they're,
they're identical buildings.
So literally on the other sideof the Presbytere is on the
corner there is Muriel's.
So you kind of got to hop over abuilding,
Brad (06:10):
No, it's on the next
street.
Nannette (06:12):
the next street on the
corner, yeah.
It's a really quiet corner too.
Shockingly, we got lots ofpictures where there's hardly
anybody.
Brad (06:19):
But we did get a lot of
good pictures that way, but it
depends on when you go there, because a lot of times that's
where the street performers are, there's a lot of music, there's
a lot of people, with theirlittle tables set up to read
tarot cards, or palm reading, orfortunes, so it just depends on
the time of day and the day ofthe week, right?
Nannette (06:39):
on the time of day and
the day of the week.
Brad (06:53):
It's kind of like that
video I made, you know, on Royal
street, where else but NewOrleans do you have, you know, a
painting of an angel next to aboudoir painting and then you
turn around and there's thecathedral with touchdown Jesus
shadowed up against the side ofthe cathedral and then you turn
and you look at somewhere elseand there's a lingerie store and
then across the street there's avoodoo shop like you get it all.
(07:16):
In New
Nannette (07:17):
in less than half a
block.
Brad (07:19):
Yes,
Nannette (07:21):
I I, it's a mixture,
right?
It's a mixture of peoples, amixture of cultures.
Really super interesting place,but muriel's,
Brad (07:28):
Yeah, so we go back to
Muriel's, it's right on the
corner and as you walk in, it isjust a beautiful time piece
period building, right?
Absolutely gorgeous.
We walked in and we were goingto just go in, get a drink, go
to the seance room, hang out fora little while and leave.
(07:49):
What ended up happening is westayed for quite a while, but as
you walk in and you go to wherethe seance room is, they have a
table set there to pay homage totheir building ghosts.
Nannette (08:03):
Right.
It's at the bottom of thestairs.
So the seance room's at the topof the stairs.
It kind of, the stairs go up andthen they turn and they turn
again.
Then you walk down a littlegangplank like area and go into
the seance room.
There's like a sitting room andthen you walk in some doors and
it's the actual seance room.
But, um, yeah, they have thisfull set table with all the
fancy glassware and napkins andall the things.
(08:27):
And it has a little sign thatsays that it's a place setting
for the
Brad (08:31):
things So let me just back
up and cover the story about
Muriel's.
So the concept of the seanceroom comes like this.
Pierre Antoine Lepardy Jordan.
he was a gambler.
And when I say he was a gambler,he was The type of gambler who
actually needed some help.
(08:52):
Like it was always about, youknow, the next bigger bet he
could always win.
He knew that when was comingand, uh, it ended up getting him
the end.
So there's a story that goesaround and either.
Poker or craps depending on whoyou hear the story from but he
was playing and did pretty wellBut at the end of the night, he
(09:12):
wanted one final bet because heneeded to get his win, right?
So he bet the house literallythe deed to his home, which was
a family home His mother wasaway in France And he was there
partying it up, so he makes thebet and he loses.
Now, he was so distraught aboutlosing the family home that he
(09:36):
ended up hanging himself in anupstairs room.
Nannette (09:40):
Now,
Brad (09:40):
Pierre is said to still
haunt the building and he has
for years and years.
The building became a couple ofdifferent things after, um,
after he lost it.
It was taken over by, you know, the organized crime area and
they started essentially abrothel.
within the building that didn'tlast too long.
It was also a girls school.
(10:00):
Um, so it was a few differentthings.
It's a restaurant and therestaurant actually really
embraced it.
They leaned into the ghost storyand said, this is great
marketing.
Let's bring in all the ghostytourists because you get that in
New Orleans, right?
I mean, that's why we went.
Nannette (10:15):
why we went.
Part of the reason why we went.
So,
Brad (10:20):
they set this table down
there because they had several
different seances.
throughout the years to try andget rid of all of the ghosts in
the building.
And during one of the seancesthat they had had in the seance
rooms upstairs, they were toldthat they should set a table for
the ghosts, or specificallyPierre Antoine Lepardi Jordan,
(10:43):
and tell him that he couldinvite any of his ghost friends
to come and enjoy the buildingand coexist with the living.
Nannette (10:54):
The interesting thing
is the kind of agreement or
understanding was if the tablewas set, then they would be
peaceful and things would workout good.
So now Muriel's is known to havegood ghosts,
Brad (11:06):
Yeah, in the past, they
have had, you know, those
occurrences where glasses flyoff the bar and break and, you
know, other types of.
Poltergeist type activity.
So
Nannette (11:19):
So now they have.
More pleasant things happen.
I think I
Brad (11:24):
so, and you definitely
think so, because you
experienced that.
Let's talk about what youexperienced.
Nannette (11:30):
Oh gosh
Brad (11:31):
So, so we go in, we
grabbed a couple of drinks, and
we went upstairs to the seanceroom.
Right.
Nannette (11:37):
So if you know me, you
know that I'm not a big drinker.
Brad (11:41):
big
Nannette (11:41):
So if you look on our
social media, you'll see, some
of the seance room, we've gotvideos and stuff, but
everything's pretty much donein, in like a lavish red, you
know, rich purples, a lot ofvelvet, there's a, what is it, a
sarcophagus that doesn't belongin there, I
Brad (11:56):
they've got a couple of
Egyptian sarcophagi and it's
like,
Nannette (11:59):
that kind of doesn't
go.
But the other stuff, there'ssome, there's some pictures,
paintings, things like that.
Um, there's a really cool lamp.
That I thought was a lamp, butit actually was a, was a statue
of a girl reaching up and we'vegot pictures of this too.
Um, and then the lamp is it andyou kind of think they go
together.
But you know, it's kind of theold victorian type furniture and
(12:23):
it's just a really kind of cushplace to kind of crash and you
know Enjoy some music and anddrink your drinks and kind of
feel what you feel
Brad (12:32):
Yeah, and it was awesome
because we were in there and it
was just our little group.
We got to sit in there for quitea while and just feel the room.
Yeah.
So,
Nannette (12:42):
Okay, as I was saying,
if you know me, you know that
I'm not a big drinker.
I rarely drink.
Drink alcohol.
So usually it doesn't take verymuch to get me.
Um, like maybe a half a glass.
Yeah.
I'm a cheap drunk And it's bydesign like I I just don't enjoy
(13:04):
the the disassociated feelingBut there are times like in my
swimming pool where I'll let myhair down a little bit and let
that happen Sometimes it's bymistake because I don't know
there's so much alcohol insomething But other than that, I
pretty much, you know Just get ateeny tiny bit of a, a buzz.
And then I'm, I, I'm good, I'mgood.
I, I'm not a, I get drunk kindof person at all, but there, I,
(13:27):
I was, I had a mojito and it'sone of my favorite drinks, and I
had taken maybe, maybe four sipsof it.
It wasn't very much at all.
And we have a video too, whichI'm just mortified about, by the
way.
Thanks, Kristen.
Um, but you can see that my, mydrink it's not very empty at
all.
It's pretty much full still.
(13:48):
But when I went to go into thatroom, this wave of, I can't
explain it.
Almost
Brad (13:55):
drunken
Nannette (13:56):
ecstasy hit
Brad (13:57):
Euphoria.
Yeah, euphoria.
Maybe
Nannette (14:00):
is a good, a good,
like my feet started to tingle.
And my lips started to tingleand my fingers were tingling and
I felt like my spirit wasfloating out of my body.
Um, and that's the best way Ican explain it.
And I just, I kept trying tofeel into the room, like what
(14:23):
the crap is going on?
Cause I felt extremely drunk, but not sick drunk.
Does that make sense?
Like, because I get sick drunk,
Brad (14:32):
But you hadn't had any
alcohol, I mean, literally, in
the grand scheme of things.
It wasn't even a quarter of yourglass.
Nannette (14:39):
no, no.
Anyways, I, I sat there and allof a sudden I could see them.
I saw two men and a woman and Icould hear kids in the other
room and they were, the womanwas standing.
Off a little bit from us, butone of the guys was sitting next
to a chair that I was sittingnext to us.
There's a couch that was next tome.
He was on the corner of that.
(15:00):
And then back behind Kristen tomy left was another guy sitting
down and they were just chillingwith us.
Brad (15:08):
And
Nannette (15:09):
I just felt like we
were amongst friends like And it
didn't even occur to me to belike, Hey, so do you guys want
to go to the light?
Like,
Brad (15:17):
know what
Nannette (15:18):
know what I mean?
It's like, they were super happyto be where they were, but, um,
I was getting messed with.
Brad (15:24):
Well, I mean, it makes
sense that they were happy where
they were with the other seancessaying, Hey, do this and live in
conjunction.
It seems like that's what theywanted.
But it seems like maybe they'reexperiencing life through the
people who are going in and outof there every day.
Nannette (15:40):
Maybe so, maybe so.
And yeah, there's only certaintimes in my life, um, when I get
busy that I feel that kind ofbliss if you, if you follow,
like, it was, it was incredible.
And, and I've never, I havenever felt like that before.
Okay.
So
Brad (15:58):
that before.
Nannette (15:59):
with a ghost.
Okay.
Brad (16:01):
ask you.
Okay.
Oh my Let me.
Wow.
Okay.
Well, let me ask you this.
So do you think that is a formof possession?
Nannette (16:12):
No, I didn't feel
possessed at all.
Brad (16:14):
So maybe just share
emotions or feelings or what is
that?
How does that work?
What do you, what do you thinkthat was?
Nannette (16:23):
I am, I don't know.
Can I return and report?
Cause I, I don't know.
I've never, I have never had aSpirit, like I feel the spirits
that I talked to and, um, I canfeel like their personalities
and I can feel like how theydied and all that kind of stuff,
but I've never had my wholeentire body be subject.
(16:46):
to something like that.
Um, and I wasn't, it was allthree of them that were making
it happen.
So I'm not really sure how andwhy, because I mean, I put my
protections up, you know, I dothat every single day.
So I'm not really Positive.
I'm a little bit puzzled.
And I know that it's something Ihave to learn, but I'm very
(17:09):
weird because usually they can'tget through to me.
Spirits don't bother me.
Usually if I'm not doing officehours, they don't bother me.
And I wasn't impaired enough toHave, you know, give permission
or have my shields come down.
Do you know?
So I don't know, but I just feltso light and happy.
(17:30):
And I don't know, which is soforeign for places.
I mean, this is a room wheresomebody committed suicide.
Brad (17:39):
Yeah, well, and I'm sure
yeah.
Many others have died in thereas well.
Nannette (17:43):
Well, obviously two
more, you know, I,
Brad (17:47):
I,
Nannette (17:47):
I'm kind of a little
bit speechless, but there, but
that city, that's the thing thatcity.
There's so many spirits, there'sso much going on, like you can
just be walking along and thenall of a sudden have this wave
hit you.
And if you're not payingattention, you probably wouldn't
get it, but I only drink twiceon this whole trip and it wasn't
(18:10):
very much alcohol.
Like maybe a couple of sips atthe top and that was it.
So only because I was feelingand experiencing so much.
I didn't feel safe enough, Iguess, to drink and let all my
shields down cause I have noidea what would really truly
have happened.
I think I was experiencingenough, but I'm, I wasn't the
only one experiencing
Brad (18:30):
Well, I wonder if.
Um, when we went in thereinitially, we sat down and I
told the story about whathappened and gave a little
background of the room to Wylinand Kristen.
Nannette (18:40):
everybody got cold
chills.
Brad (18:41):
Every single one of us got
that full body phyloerection and
went, holy shit, did you feelthat?
Like, um, and it lasted forquite a while.
It wasn't just like a, Oh,there's an emotional part
because it wasn't an emotionalstory, but you definitely felt.
That presence around you, but itwasn't, it wasn't the dark,
(19:06):
depressed, suicidal spirit thatyou would expect.
Not at
Nannette (19:11):
Not at all.
And I think that when you werestarting to tell the story, it
was almost like opening the doorto invite them in.
Brad (19:18):
Right.
Like,
Nannette (19:19):
about you.
Brad (19:20):
know about you, come on
down.
Exactly.
Come on down.
It's like, oh,
Nannette (19:25):
about us.
Come sit, come sit, you know,
Brad (19:27):
sit, you know.
Right,
Nannette (19:29):
let's have, let's have
some fun type of thing.
But I, I didn't feel like theywere malicious or anything like
that, but I literally have neverfelt like that before.
It
Brad (19:38):
Nan was super silly and
she's like, Oh, I need some more
of the drink.
I'm like, no, I'm going to takethat from you.
And let's see
Nannette (19:45):
He was treating me
like I was drinking too
Brad (19:46):
much.
Yeah, I said, let's, let's takethat away from you and let's see
what happens when we leave thisroom.
And we left the room and wentdownstairs and
Nannette (19:55):
it
Brad (19:55):
like, we just had to get
out of that.
it
Nannette (19:58):
it followed me.
The feeling followed me out intothe street and when I was
standing out there with Kristenis when it started to lift.
And it started to go away.
And then when we went back inlater to eat the
Brad (20:09):
the food, She came right
in.
And that's why
Nannette (20:12):
And that's why I
didn't touch the mojito because
I'm like, okay, I'm feeling thisway again, just sitting here at
the bar and the dance roomsabove the bar.
So we were just sitting at thebar eating dinner and I'd gone
to the restroom and Brad hadordered me another mojito to go
with my dinner.
But I didn't touch it because Iwas like, I'm already feeling
this.
So.
(20:34):
I probably shouldn't drinkanything.
So I just drink water.
Brad (20:37):
But,
Nannette (20:38):
You there's, yeah,
it's something in there.
Brad (20:40):
Well, there was a whole
table of witches there.
Nannette (20:46):
Everybody was dressed
up.
It was awesome.
Brad (20:49):
Okay.
So we went there and it ended upbeing, um, Halloween parties
basically.
So they had a big Halloweenparade and people were dressed
up all over the place becausethey had different parties
happening, but there was a wholebunch of women dressed in witch
costumes eating dinner muralswhile we were
Nannette (21:08):
there.
Right, right.
Brad (21:09):
But hey, we had a
remarkable bartender, John, at
Muriel's, was fantastic.
Nannette (21:15):
Definitely the best.
He gave us a lot of historylesson about, New Orleans.
He didn't know a whole bunchabout Muriel's though.
I think he would have quit hisjob and run the other way.
But, he gave us a little bit ofbackground about New Orleans
and, he recommended some amazingfood.
Like, oh, untouchable amazing
Brad (21:35):
Yeah.
Muriel's had some great food.
Highly, highly recommend it,
Nannette (21:38):
Yeah, definitely
great.
Brad (21:41):
but that was our night at
Muriel's.
And the crazy thing is
Nannette (21:45):
But
Brad (21:45):
what two nights before
that we had gone out and Nan got
similarly affected,
Nannette (21:52):
but
Brad (21:52):
got sick.
And the same idea.
So, um, a couple of swallows, wewalked out into the street and
went to another bar to listen tomusic and she got just super,
super sick.
Nannette (22:08):
Oh, like Yeah, I had
to leave the place where we
were.
So, so I think the hypothesisthat we've come up with is Brad
is a big protector and we'veknown this, um, all through
dating and stuff in places thatwe've gone, that he protects my
energy.
Um, and he is a huge, hugeprotector.
And, um, when he leaves me iswhen I get.
(22:32):
Fucked it with and I'm justgonna say it that way because
this time I got fucked with andit was not okay It wasn't even a
nice person at all But um, wewere at one bar and we found
this really good band And I meanthey they were singing some
songs that were shockingly righton the money like just like the
real band We were shocked.
(22:52):
They were so so so so good.
And this was the other time Idrank and this was Before Wylin
and Kristen got there.
So it was just me and Brad andwe're just kind of kicking back
and, um,
Brad (23:04):
he gets
Nannette (23:04):
me my favorite.
I usually love Malibu rum.
I'm a rum drinker.
I hate thus mojitos, right?
But, um, he gets me that.
I drink some.
But while I'm there, Listeningto the music, Brad goes to the
restroom because he has a tinybladder and
Brad (23:23):
processes in a
Nannette (23:25):
way.
Brad (23:25):
In a healthy way.
So,
Nannette (23:27):
But while he's gone to
the restroom, I get this really,
really sharp pain in my foreheadthat travels through my head on
the Right side, all the waythrough my brain, all the way
through the back of my head.
And I mean, it is painful.
Like I'm squinting my eyes andI'm looking at my body parts
thinking I'm, am I having like astroke or something?
(23:48):
Like, this is super painful, butwhen it passed, I was like, what
the crap?
And I'm looking at, I'm like,okay, I feel fine.
My body is working fine.
And then Brad comes back fromthe bathroom and is sitting
there and the music's going.
And I just kind of kind of brushit off a little bit.
And then the band takes a breakand we decide, well, the band
just never comes back is whathappens.
(24:08):
They were out getting
Brad (24:09):
well, the band just never
comes back is what happens.
So they didn't come back.
We decided to go out on BourbonStreet and we
Nannette (24:25):
of a night.
Yeah.
So they didn't come back, but wedecided to go out on Bourbon
street and we walked down thestreet to a place called the
bandstand.
And, um, Brad with his tinybladder, again, he's like, I
gotta go pee.
Let's go in this place.
And so we go in and the music isso loud.
And so I'm like plugging my earsand we go past the band and then
(24:47):
we go up the stairs where therestroom is.
Yeah.
We're looking for a secondbalcony so you can overlook
Bourbon street.
Cause it's kind of.
Great people watching by theway.
Brad (24:57):
way.
It's not kind of great, it'slike, incredible people
watching.
Nannette (25:01):
ha ha Yeah, all walks
of life, I tell you.
It's crazy.
But um,
Brad (25:06):
Do you know what we didn't
see on Bourbon Street?
Titties.
Yeah.
We saw no boobies.
Any titties.
Which was surprising because Ithought you were supposed to see
those there.
Nannette (25:14):
You had to get beads,
right?
Yeah.
Brad (25:16):
boobies.
No.
So if you're looking for boobieson Bourbon Street, uh, you
Nannette (25:20):
might be.
Maybe you do during Mardi Gras.
Probably.
Brad (25:22):
Gras?
Probably a Mardi Gras.
Nannette (25:24):
Not during the
Halloween one
Brad (25:26):
do you know what was weird
is people had their kids down
Nannette (25:28):
kids down there.
Yeah, and they're dogs withoutbooties.
Because, like, literally, if youdon't know, you don't know.
But the police even told us thelast, the first time that we
went to New Orleans, um, that wewere in flip flops and I
literally got balled out by anofficer for not having closed
toed shoes.
Brad (25:46):
like, you want to get
hepatitis?
Because that's how you gethepatitis.
Nannette (25:49):
And I laughed and he's
like, it is not funny.
I am serious.
Get some effing shoes on.
So this time we were shoes, butwe were walking around other
people that had
Brad (26:00):
that
Nannette (26:00):
the flippies on.
And it's crazy because there'sthis gravy in the puddles.
Like they wash the streets, butit's just everybody's vomit and
piss.
And, and New Orleans does smelllike pee.
Brad (26:13):
No, New Orleans smells
like a mixture, well at least
the French Quarter, a lot of the
Nannette (26:17):
Bourbon Street in
particular.
Brad (26:19):
smells like a mix between
vomit, urine, and a crawdad
boil.
Nannette (26:27):
Yeah, it's
Brad (26:27):
That's, it's, yeah, it's a
horrible
Nannette (26:30):
Yeah, it's a terrible
smell.
That's what's in the puddles.
That's why you need shoes.
If you ever go to experiencethis amazing city, at least wear
shoes.
Brad (26:39):
Yeah, we've really sold it
on that point.
We should be on
Nannette (26:44):
It's just, it's just
Bourbon Street that has that
just FYI.
The rest of the city is fine.
It's actually quite clean city, actually, um, but Bourbon
Street, yeah.
Brad (26:54):
yeah, we go
Nannette (26:55):
So, so yeah, we
Brad (26:56):
to this other place to
find the balcony.
We go upstairs.
I go to the bathroom.
Nannette (27:00):
Yeah, and then all of
a sudden it felt like a wave, a
big wave of energy hit me and Istarted to get the spins and I
felt like I was going to passout, like I couldn't catch my
breath and I felt like I wasgoing to pass out and I, I broke
out in like this cold sweat andum, I stood there with my back
against the wall and I'm justlike, I feel like I am going to.
(27:22):
lose it.
And Brad comes out and I'm like,I'm not feeling good.
And he's like, well, let's goout on the balcony and see if
that helps.
And there was a light breeze.
And so that was super helpfulbecause I could catch my breath
and things started to calm down.
And then the wave hit me againout on the balcony.
And I'm just like, no, notfeeling good.
We need to leave this place.
I'm like, this is not good.
(27:42):
And so he's like, all right, let's get out of here.
And so we headed for our hotel.
Brad (27:47):
Yeah.
And I was watching her be sickand I'm like, wow, did you get
some bad oysters?
'cause we had charbroiledoysters earlier, but I ate the
same plate of oysters and Iwasn't
Nannette (27:57):
we shared everything
and he wasn't sick.
So we get back to the hotelthough, and I run to the
bathroom and I lose it.
Like I am projectile vomitingall over the place.
And I'm just crying because I amnot a puker.
Like if anybody knows me here, too, I am not a puker.
I would rather like a toiletseat than puke, like
Brad (28:16):
And she did both while she
was puking.
God, it was bad.
It was bad.
Nannette (28:20):
bad.
And I probably will never eat anoyster again, but it wasn't the
oysters at all.
They didn't even, weren't eventhe things that came up, but I
know TMI, But anyway,
Brad (28:30):
I
Nannette (28:31):
cleaned up.
Brad (28:32):
cleaned up.
I had, it was vegetables.
All of my food was
Nannette (28:43):
All of my food was so
good.
after that, I got all cleanedup.
I took a shower, got all cleanedup, came out, laid on the bed,
and Brad went in and had histurn in the bathroom, and I'm
laying there, and all of asudden, I get this tap on the
top of my head four times.
Tap, tap, tap, tap.
Oh my hell, I open my eyes and Iget full body chills three times
(29:04):
in a row, chills from head totoe, chills, chills, chills, and
I'm like, I yelled at Brad, something followed me home.
Come and sage the shit like, cause I, I'm not, I'm still not
feeling good and um, Now I forsure know why because it
fricking tapped me on the head.
(29:24):
So Brad comes out and he's alittle tipsy and he's like,
well, I guess I'm going to drunksage.
Brad (29:30):
and that's what I
Nannette (29:33):
And he did.
Brad (29:34):
by God.
I drunk sage the shit out ofthat room.
So I always, and her, I alwaystravel with a Palo Santo
matches.
So when I travel and I go to ahotel room, I'll strike up the
match.
And yes, I know you're notsupposed to burn anything in a
hotel, but I burn this everytime and invite any negative
energies, ghosts, vibrations,whatever to.
(29:56):
Exit and know that I'm onlystaying temporarily and then
they can come back and dowhatever they're going to do.
Um, so I did that and invitedeverything to leave us alone.
And
Nannette (30:07):
And it
Brad (30:08):
left.
And it stopped.
Nannette (30:09):
Yeah, it stopped.
And I stopped being sick.
Which was, I was so gratefulfor.
Cause that one was not a goodone.
But I was too sick to evenaddress what the hell.
Do you know what I mean?
I, it was, it was bad.
It was really, really, reallybad.
But I was completely fine afterI left the
Brad (30:27):
fine after I left
Nannette (30:28):

Brad (30:29):
