Speaker 1 (00:05):
Reveal reveally.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Look at this now, Timpton, Jesus, Oh you using will
(00:32):
it's time to band?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Oh all right? Two seats filled, one missing. Hey, it's
UFC three eighteen prequewing preview.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Brought to you by quervolve in direct on Morning Combat
on this Wednesday, July sixteenth, two thousand and twenty five.
We're gonna get the party started, Brian Campbell. Our special
guests from MMA Fighting, Jed Meshu number two. Who does
number two work for? Apparently you? Because there's not enough
(01:10):
here with us. So our third man at the table,
Luke Thomas, is on his way directly from Newark, Penn Station,
in which Amtrak has delayed his arrival. We'll see how
spicy he gets when he gets here. But if you're watching,
if you're tuning in right now, thank you for watching
on YouTube audio only on the DraftKings Network. You already
know that today's episode of Morning Combat is presented by DraftKings,
(01:34):
and of course, with DraftKings, the crown is yours. Jed.
We are fired up because we're gonna drink a little
bit of this beautiful Cuervo tequila. We're gonna set the
stage for Saturday's New Orleans return for the UFC pay
per view Machine and the final fight of Dustin puawiwe
when he takes on Max Holloway for a third time.
And we are also going to speak in real talk
(02:00):
like men do, like men do. So there's a different
expectation in a show like this, right, you know what
I mean, you forgot. I'm most excited that Luke's not
here because the first time I was ever on this
program late not my fault, yes, and Luke just could
not let me go, okay, And so I'm excited to
(02:22):
really you reap what you sow. Can well, we hope
that Luke will put down some Quervo today and not
just try to take that glass, you know, put that
put that drink through college by sipping it. But Quervo
has not just gifted us here with the beautiful blanco,
with the you know, traditional nal here, the tequila repo zado, reposado.
We also, for the first time on Morning Combat have
(02:44):
Jose Cuervo Devil's Preserve ready to go, ready to break
into it. Now normally you know, I'm a man of
the other side of this, but you know, yeah, for
UFC three eighteen. All right, I'm here to tell you
one thing and one thing only, and that's this. You
already know. This program is brought to you by Quevo,
and now is a good time as ever to enjoy
(03:06):
the tequila that invented tequila? So why don't we do this?
Are you ready for this? I'm ready little Devil's reserve
right here. We're doing a little research into what this
might be like beforehand, and I gotta tell you I'm excited.
It could get a little spicy in here. Okay, a
little sweet, little spicy. Jed. You are representing Atlanta, Georgia today.
The a always why why Georgia? Why?
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Right?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Because it's always on my mind? There it is there.
It is a rijobajo, Kyle, Okay, are all right? This
is for UFC three eighteen. I didn't expect that after
(03:53):
that tastes that is smooth, a little little peppery, a
little spicy, no burn, that tastes like flavored water. It's perfect.
That is h That was really there's that's the smoothest
alcohol I've ever had in mind. This isn't even a
bit like that is unbelievable. Wow, ohow, Jose, you've done it.
(04:18):
It tastes like stolen valor. That yeah great, Well like
I like I like the tequila blanco. But that was
dangerously smooth, right I. We're gonna I'm gonna just do
a lot of that.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
By the time we get to the end of the
suit in a bad place. See representing Quervo right here
on the chest. You already know that representing Morning Combat
on the hat, and you can represent that just the same.
Not only this, check out Jed's fantastic shirt right here
by checking out Morning Combat dot shop. Our special July
exclusives are available to the great average Joe Art for
(04:50):
those in some times incredibly comfortable by the way, like
I don't wow, look you our merch.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I'm just just letting you know. This is my first
MK merch. Really, I'm pleased with it. Only took you
a few times on this show to get you know,
you gotta leave him wanting more. If I just come
in decked in MK, you guys won't respect me. I'd
never come back. I don't know if we respect you anyway.
But it's great to have you on the show today.
Just the same. It should be tea minus seconds away
(05:17):
from Luke walking in which energy drink do you think
he'll be coming in with? Oh? You know, he's he's
a once in a while C four guy. He could
be a pink monster at any time. But he's been
rocking the Dana White Anheuser Busch form lately. What let's
let's go off the board. What have you just got
like a rain on him? Like just just a giant
maybe old school monster really fitting with the UFC ye
(05:40):
monster still reps them, I think so. Yeah, I think
they're still in the center of that octagon right there. Uh,
speaking of things unscrupulous rings as you mentioned there, Connor McGregor,
really we're doing this, I need another shot with tequila
if you're gonna make me talk about Concord. I mean
(06:01):
you could see her uh here lower third right there.
I'm a professional and a journalist, of course I did.
You should look at the unit on that guy. Wow, right,
I mean I used to believe in the Irish curse
until I saw those photos, right that that was your
major tat that would wait on him? Or yes it was,
(06:21):
you know, fitness, it's a lifestyle BCM. That thing in
uh okay, here we go. Here it is Wow. I
just can't believe how smooth that devil's preserved. I honestly
I thought we were being tricked. I thought, I I'm
not entirely certain we're not. I really kind of want
to do another shot to confirm that that's as smooth
as I think. We'll go back to the well one
(06:42):
more time. Here, Luca's gonna walk in on a party.
All right, I'm gonna tell you that. Look at three eighteen,
we should be having a party. It is dp's last ride.
All one out for the man. This one's for Dustin,
this one's for Max, that one's for Jolie. All right, Wow,
you went you that guy can't see it. This is
(07:04):
pouring onto the table from BC on this one. All right,
do you want to do you want to give us
a h A?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (07:11):
You want to what are we shooting to chicks without kids?
What are we shooting to yours? Pouring out? Uh? This
is a great one. I mean, I feel like I
can run this on this show and probably to all
the kisses I've snatched and vice versa. Oh wow, and
all they asked you. H Okay, here we go. Yeah,
(07:32):
there's genuinely the smoothest tequila that has ever been stated.
Holy shit, I'm going to be hammered at the end.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Of this thing.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
That is uh you get that spicy after that little bit,
get a little bit of that pepper at the end
and wowsers. All right, I can't recommend that enough. Well,
we talked about uh Connor's dong and uh, we might
as well stop killing time and get into the meat
of this. And that's what you came to see. That's
UFC three eighteen and the pregame preview in the real
talk that only two gross men can give you third
(08:03):
gross men on the way. But as we look at
this card as a whole, I know our knee jerk
reaction will be well, not as deep as the other ones.
I'll say first and foremost, I love that they went
non title main event. I know the BMF titles at stake,
but I love when two stars established can come together
for a pay per view and you don't need one.
I think Rashad versus Rampage. Think a few times that's
(08:25):
happened in history. Connor versus Nick Nate. Excuse me, but
somebody's got to speak to the quality of this card
up and down and whether it's given us what we expect,
what we need, what we deserve. What do you give
for a letter grade? For UFC three eighteen? I think
this is like a B plus a minus and I
recognize BC. I'm want to move. It's incredibly smooth. I'm
(08:47):
on an island here, like I know a lot of
people have already talked about it fein island. You know
that's it's obviously fake news. There's no such thing based
on current reports do such thing. This is not a
bad card. It's kind of a meaningless card. I'll grant
you that. Like on Sunday, what are the takeaway is
(09:08):
gonna be? Like? Are we gonna have a lot of
things to talk about as far as movement and divisions?
Speaker 4 (09:12):
Know?
Speaker 2 (09:13):
But I don't. I don't see a way that it
is not just a freaking banger of a main car.
What you're paying for the eighty bucks you're dropping one.
We're gonna spend half of this show talking DP match three.
That's just gonna be incredible. So you're gonna end the
night on a high almost no matter what, well, I'll
end the high. I'll end the night high. No matter
(09:33):
you'll start the night high, You'll Actually, I'll be on
the broadcast for one Manu Paci how Re turning against
Mario Barrios this weekend. But you know, I'm gonna be
looking and listening out to what's going on down there.
Are you heading down to the Crescent City to cover this?
I am not. I can't. I've been in New Orleans
twice and it almost killed me both times. That just
did you do the h did you stay in the
(09:55):
midst of the what do you call that? The crazy?
The French Quarter, the French Court got too. That's where
I stayed for of that WrestleMania a few years back,
and it was not it was nuts of like six
thirty pm.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
It was nuts.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
It's awesome, it's it's one of the most fun places
in America. And I can't be trusted down. So but
but what letter did you give this card? Plus? I
think I think that's aggressive. That's aggressive. I think everyone
is looking at this wrong because all of those fights
in the main card are rippers. And at the end
of the night, you're gonna be like, man, I had
(10:24):
a freaking great Saturday. Me and the boys, we were
at you know, some some bar watching it. We ordered
the pay per view at home. We had some jose
They're all going to go buy the Devil's Reserve and
come to the same conclusions we have, and they'll be
like shit, and then they're gonna be way too drunk
because it tastes like water and specially have a great time.
(10:45):
Let's bring in the fourth member of our team today,
the the producer, director, Bong enthusiasts and Uh, a man
who joins us on a one way ticket from a
horned Australian men's ball bag. It's Luke, no seed of
the main card minute long island. Look the B plus
offered here by one Jed Mshue seems like he's auditioning,
possibly for a role with the UFC.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
But what do you grade it?
Speaker 5 (11:07):
Yeah, I gotta go lower than that.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
If I could go see letter grade, I'll go be
B minus.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
How about that? All right?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Will you try a shot of this Devil's Reserve to UH?
Speaker 5 (11:16):
I would gladly robbery shot of that, but you got
to bring it to me out here. We don't have
an extra bottle of it in here.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I have an extra bottle of that.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I mean, I think you could just come out here
to shoot it.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
You know, all right, I'll go.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
It's like it's better TV for you.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, just leave.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah, yeah, here we go. Here we go by the way,
Long Island. Luke has been appearing on your podcast now
sure has which this week? This one the one that
he's no bets barred. We talk gambling because you know,
all right, pull up up shot last there, don't mess
with Luke's one two three. Margarita's here he comes though.
All right, what time? I mean, you got it, but
(11:50):
you got timing, you gotta you gotta shoot the Devil's
preserve the reserve right there. Okay, look at this guy.
Take your time. No, it's not a bit at all.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
This shit tastes like water with like a hint of cucumber.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Exactly, the cucumber accents the water. Such a level was
not fooling around but breaking news here into the morning
Combat pregame previews studio. Look at this and direct look
at this guy live in direct from the Newark, penn
Station train. Uh, there we go?
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Could you have less things set up? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Meet Virginia. I can't wait to speaking of trains, right Osborne. Hey,
Luke's here. Do you blame Amtrak? This week? Or so Comcast.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Well I replaced Comcasts. I have Horizon FiOS. As of Tuesday,
I'll have Horizon files. We got just outside Newark and
they said, everyone, we're single tracking. You know, single tracking
is the death of your fucking insanity. And then they
go and we're getting inconsistent train signals, and I was like,
where's my AK forty seven? Motherfuckers, i'mbout to have a
(13:02):
falling down with Michael douglastyletherum bitches.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Well, the best thing we can say to you is
we've been getting liquored up on this Quervo Devil's reserve, all.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Right, which one are we having?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Smoother? Genuinely? I might finish that bottle during the show.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
So what is this? Smooth?
Speaker 2 (13:19):
That's what it is.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
What I'm saying is this is this is tequila.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, it's made by the tequila that invented tequila.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
And it is made by Cuervo. Here's let's take this one.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
They already toasted to many a Colombian. Okay, it smells
like one thing.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
No no, no, no, got a little spice on it.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah, so it's if it's supposed to be your head,
just run it.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
In a minute.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Okay it is. It was shocking how smooth that is. Yeah,
would you say that just like the ocean under the moon,
you if you're common in here and he might not be,
and he just poured show the people the full breadth
of one. I mean he's got the that can be
so smooth. Yeah, right, you should take it without the
or you do using that for a chaser like a
(14:06):
real man would do a right. It is like I'm
gonna buy a bottle of that when I get I
think you're just gonna take that with you back on
the plane.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
I don't think you have you seen this yet?
Speaker 2 (14:17):
No, we've done almost nothing. We've drinking, we've given a grade.
So so Jed gave a B plus for this card
on the surface, and that's way too generous. That's like, no,
it's not you guys are crazy.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
There's some gems on there. I'm not saying there's not
some gems on there, but B plus.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
It's gonna be fun, is the thing. Like, I'm not
saying that we're going to talk about this card for
months or storylines. It's gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Well, so all you guys are did shots. I guess
I'll just do this one.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I mean, I'll take a shot with you if you want.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Not bad. You know, it'd be great if I had
some ta Haena on the rim.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Oh yeah, well, look, thank you for joining Marguerite. Okay,
we're gonna have a great program today. Great to have
Jed back one of our favorites.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
You know, Saint Laz on Instagram and TikTok no no
sat last he was the one who was like, uh yeah,
and you could put my balls on some peter bread
with some hummers and eat that to the face. Mind
your fucking business. That's what I want to tell the
train conductor today. But I didn't, right, that's.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Very responsible of you to not close the seat.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
There was a lot of elderly on the train today.
I didn't want to be too menacing.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
So three eighteen, right, that's Daddy's number. Right, Okay, okay, okay, okay,
all right, all no reason crying over spilled milk. Let's
get into this car. I know you're a little extra.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
I didn't know how to know more before, but now
I'm a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Get behind me, Satan.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Hey fuck, it's the Margarito's glass. Put the camera on.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Please put the camera on it look at that ship.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Hey put it up there long on Luke Morningcombat Dot Shop.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, we did that while we were.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Now I'm now, I'm okay. I mean it's named after me,
by the way, I took two key to Sesame Street
over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Nice what like like the actual street the live show
or the live show?
Speaker 1 (16:15):
The live show. There's a live musical that they have,
as my wife calls it, what do they say? They
don't call it street. They call it Sesame Plasa. That's
how they say it.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
You think Burton in a committed relationship or is it?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I mean, blowing each other was not part of the
stage show.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Isn't that text?
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Now though?
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Like I don't know, I haven't kept up with Sesame Street,
but surely they are. Yeah, all right, well, hey, look
back to MMA. Guys. We have a pay per view
card this weekend. We've talked after it was booked, how
excited we are that two legends can get together. It
just so happens to be for the baddest MOFO title.
At the end of the day, jed you here that
(16:53):
we're going to get a trilogy between Max Holloway, the
BMF champion, and Dustin Porier in his retirement fight in
his home city. Your reaction is fucking awesome, man, Like,
who's upset about this?
Speaker 6 (17:05):
Right?
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Like I could quibble, and I really wanted to see
Max fight Charles obviously Charles Dadelia thing, and that was
pretty sick. So it was cool. Well, like their first
fight happened a million years ago but was still really fun.
Their second fight is like one of the twelve best
fights has ever happened. It just didn't win fight when
I happened to be in the arena for that sex
(17:26):
usc two thirty six to Atlanta, Yeah, Atlanta, And like
that would have been fight of the year any other
year except for the fact that if not for the
album had happened thirty minutes before it, Like way, there's
a lot of people that are hit me up and saying,
I know you love Gesslam Busy, but that fight match
was even better. People made that argument at the time,
and like I get it. It is it was an
(17:48):
awesome fight, and like at the end of the day,
we're talking about Dustin Poorye is one of the seven
at absolute worst, most exciting fighters who's ever stepped foot
into the cage and Max Holloway is not far back
him and Max always much more important, like as just
an all time great. There's just I don't see a
way this isn't just an unbelievable going out party for
(18:09):
for Dustin.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Poye that walkout should be special.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah, Like the only the only quibble is I think
Max walks out last because he's the post, like they should.
The BMFL doesn't even need to be up for this.
No one is talking or cares about it. I'm not
mad that they did it, but it's almost to the
point where it's almost played out in a sense like
this this is badass enough on its own. Retirement fight,
(18:33):
third meeting between them, two guys with bushido that love
each other, that the fans love them. They're just gonna
go in there and bang and we're gonna watch. It's
kind of like adult films to be very fair.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, oh, I don't know. I don't watch two dudes banging.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
But short of that, short of that, we don't judge.
We don't judge if that's what you're into. That's what
I'm saying at the end of the day, right, you know,
I am saying that if you're you know what I mean,
we don't judge at this show, so that's good. I
I happen to think we have the best show in
all of combat sports. They don't really give us awards
for it anymore. You go, all right, Luke, what are
(19:05):
you most excited about in this matchup?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Well, as you guys indicated, the first fight hard to
really draw a whole lot of lessons from that. I
think they're both pretty different. Second fight you can definitely
draw a lot more. What really interesting to me was,
I guess, a couple of weeks ago, in anticipation for
all of the media we were gonna do, I hadn't
seen the second fight in quite some time. Maybe highlights,
but like you know, sitting down and watching twenty five
minutes of a fight, I could not believe how I'm
(19:32):
gonna I can't believe I'm saying this, and maybe this
isn't quite the right word, but relative to who he
is today, I could not believe how Green Max looked,
which is a very funny thing to say. Max was
the featherweight champ when that fight happened. In fact, after
that fight, Max went back to forty five and defended
quite successfully against Frankie Edgar and then prior to that
he was on a thirteen fight win streak, and then
the last three of those were back to back stoppages
(19:52):
of Joseado and then a stoppage of Brian Ortaga. I
bring this up to say we kind of consider I mean,
I think, or at least some folks in our in
our minds, there is some sense that Max as champion
of featherweight, that was peak Max, and I guess that's
in arguable in a way, if you were a champion,
that doesn't get much higher than that. However, you just
look at the guy who fought Justin Gage. Now, the
(20:12):
Ilia fight is a little bit different, but if you
look at the fight against Justin Gaigee, it is so
radically different For Max. He he had a little bit
of not loose change on him in the Parier fight,
but he did not look shredded, he did not look
bulked up, and against Geichee he looked much more muscular,
much more filled out. And oh my god, his skill
has gotten way better since then. His footwork is better,
(20:36):
his range management is better, he has more offensive tools,
he doesn't rely on volume nearly as much. It's a
totally different guy now. I'm not saying that dp's on
the decline, although obviously if you're retiring, you're probably not
at your peak. What I'm gonna say is this fight
is going to be the most competitive of the three.
This is the one I think Max. I'm not saying
declare to you he will win, but I think that'stin
(20:59):
Paria is much tougher fight on his hands the caveat.
I know what you're gonna say is, well, didn't he
just come off a KO loss? Okay, I don't know
what to say about that. I don't know how that's going.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
To I know somebody who has some things to say
about that. Who Max Holloween caught up with our friend
Shaquille MAJORI MK and CBS Sports's own uh for a
little something that we brought in our friends at Cuervo
for shots Fire. You already know that Shots Fired is
(21:30):
brought to you by Cuervo, And now is a good
time to enjoy the tequila that invented tequila. We're enjoying
it right now. Let's hear from Max.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
People are starting to have that conversation about could he
be the all time pound for pound greatest When it's
all said and done.
Speaker 6 (21:45):
I mean for sure, you know, you can't you can't
sleep on it, you know, but it's just it's just tough, right, Yeah.
He he has the names. He beat the names, and
you can't deny that. But then you know, when you
look it just sucks that, you know, whatever everything with
everything that's going on, when you look at uh, you
know that when you look at that Vogue fight, you know,
with that vote coming off of what he did, that's
(22:08):
kind of crazy. But people just look at the name.
You know, they're not looking at the record. They're just
looking at Away asks the champ, you know, and and
then me and then and then Charles did what he
did with Charles on him what Charles on the one
fight with Street, you know. So you know, at the
end of the day, it just it just moments, you know,
and it's just names.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
It is.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
It is one of the greatest names for sure, uh
that that he beat in the history. But the man
is doing what he's supposed to do. You know, he's dead,
he's lighting people are lying you actually are lightning people
up for him. He's just knocking him down, you know.
So for for play there, you know he's gonna have
that doing the job.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, is that Max planting seeds for the hope of
a future rematch should he defeat Dustin? Or is that
Max shading uh Eliot Taporia looks favorite fighter and basically
trying to say that, like maybe he ain't that ship,
Maybe he ain't all that. Look at who he's beating,
Look at the time and the situations. I mean, we've
kind of crowned him as the next greatest. Oh he
(23:04):
pound for pound king, biggest star in the sport. What
do you make of what Max it? I think Max's ball,
Like I don't think he's trying to shade Iliot, but
like that is true, and it doesn't You can't. You
can only fight the guys in front of you. It
is not Ilia's fault that Volkanovsky is coming off of
ko loss that Max has you know, been through so
many wars or whatever, and it is probably on the decline.
(23:25):
Like he can't do anything about that, But that doesn't
make it any less true. Like there is at least
a little piece of this run of Ilia that is
maybe has more of a shine than it necessarily will
in hindsight. Yes, and like this, but this isn't also
necessarily new John Jones sort of had some of this
happen as he grows up, and it ultimately didn't matter.
(23:48):
He still became who many, if not most people think
is the greatest fighter of all time. Ilia. If you
just keep winning, all this shit'll go away, and Ilia
seems poised to do that. But I'm I loved hearing
Max that say that. I was like, yeah, that's right,
come on, yeah, and chicks are still taking their pants
off for John and driving uh naked? Uh luke. I
(24:08):
don't know if you saw the recent headlines.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Uh luke, I saw the headlines.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
What do you make of it? Because that's uh, that
was a little unexpected to see him good on that.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
It is a lot unexpected. I mean usually he gives
opponents win or lose a fair amount of props, especially
when he beats them, right, So it's very weird for
Max to beata guy and be like, this guy is
amazing and then you get you know, kind of viciously stopped,
and then you're like, well, how great can.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
He actually be? So I'm not I'm not really worse shit,
So what he knocked me out? Who cares?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's a little weird to be like that. Wind streak's
not shit. It's like Max, you're on it, Like, yeah,
I don't, I don't listen. It's one of these things
where it's like, as it pertains to Ilia, it's silly
to think any guy is unbeatable in any sport where
they have to compete against the very best all the time,
the best guys lose all the time. Like it's not
some kind of scandal. So is he winning in some
(24:59):
kind of a way where he's being boosted by a
set of circumstances beyond his control. Of course, of course
he is. But sorry, Alex was going to go to
sleep no matter what. Charles was going to go to
sleep no matter what. To me, Max was the one
I wasn't so sure about, and he went to sleep too,
Like we're till we're dealing with a guy who's generationally great,
and I don't know if Max recognizes that, but it's
obviously that's what you're dealing I think a fight because
(25:20):
but to your point, to your point, to your point,
he's clearly trying to set up a future like Dustin
doesn't have a in theory, Dustin doesn't have a future
beyond Saturday, but Max does. And Max is thinking about that,
and I bet it burns him that that fight went
the way that it did. He wants to get that
one back, So there's probably part of him setting it up.
In fact, you know, I've talked to MMA managers previously
(25:44):
where they had said guys coming off of losses who
were trying to get big fights, we're talking like, you know,
higher level guys here, more established names, that they had
a specific way that they wanted to talk in the
media in order to set things up. They had a
specific talking points that they want to deliver. I actually
had a conversation with MMR last week about this. So
is Max doing those kinds of things. It seems to
(26:05):
me impossible to consider he's not.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
I mean, but if he defeats we're getting ahead of
ourselves there. But if Max, who knocked out Justin Gaichie,
who could have been fighting for the lightweight title next,
he had sort of secured a spot in the conversation
of it. If he goes from beating at lightweight not
at the way uh geechee and then beats Pooria in
the retirement fight, he kind of is in the conversation
for a title shot against Ilie Right or wrong. I mean,
(26:28):
he's in the conversation, but I don't think he's jumping
out in the conversation just because he just lost Ilia
And I know that's a different weight class, but like you,
you can't parse that to a casual fan, like didn't
we just see him just smoke this dude? Like why
didn't have a lot of success early?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
It was a very good fight at word.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Yeah he had some success. He had some And it's
also how much success can you have when you get
knocked down on the third round? Like it's just the truth.
And so it's a hard sell, especially when you have
somebody like, yeah, we're not nobody here is gonna be
like Patty pimblet the most deserving title challenger. But that's business,
and of the business they're giving you right there on
(27:07):
the screen.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Long, that was as a coach too, which makes it
even more disturbing. Long Outland, Luke, can you give us
the DraftKings line on the main events you're in.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Five now, I wasn't prepared for this.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
To give me one minute, Well, please tell me about that.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
You gotta put the bong down.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Tell me about the Guvil's reserve, because did you just
enter that second layer like I did. I'm like, oh,
there really is alcohol in there. Just it just arrived.
I just really want more of it. Can we do another? Definitely?
Just I'll do one alone if I can't wait for
this to catch up to you. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
I'm going to take at least three of these live
ods right now. Max Holloway minus one plus one twenty
come in on that.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Let me ask you this as a better I mean,
you gotta the guys too, and oh against Max and
he's the underdog, I would imagine that there's substantial betting
value one D.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
I was saying to Jed, I thought this was fifty
to fifty fight in my head. As soon as I
started doing research on it. A lot of signs pointed
to Poorier, the fact that he's also plus money.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
I hopped on that all day.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
He is saying, no stone's unturned. He's training like this
is a title fight. He's in Poorio. Yeah. I mean,
I you've seen the pictures of him in shape though,
but he's like, there's nothing to leave behind. He will
not He's gone on record saying I will not be
looking for a to Poria fight if I win, I'm
walking away for good. So there's already I think a
sort of a you would take plus money on Pooriria
(28:28):
anyway in this matchup when he's defeeding Max twice, but
I think there's a reason to do that now. But
Max at thirty three, with the mileage, what ages he
really And I say that knowing that we've been there's
been a few times we were we thought we were
counting him out, from when he pulled out of that
fight against a Bebe through you know. I mean there's
a few of those, right the Fox Sports situation with Bisbaying,
(28:49):
there was a few of those where we're like, I
don't know if he can come back and be the
same guy. He tends to come back and be the
same guy at thirty three. Is he a thirty three
year old or is he kind of in the same
spot that thirty six year old Poitier is in terms
of mileage? He is definitely not a thirty three year old,
Like he started fighting at eighteen, Like, so he's got
fifteen years in the game of doing this like hard.
(29:12):
We were talking off air beforehand about Pachio and and
sort of like and well, you know, of course, as
men do. Yeah, well, like you know, this is the
same thing. And like credit to Max, I thought he
would start declining much earlier and he ended up doing nice.
Really how yeah man they got here? Wow you were
(29:33):
really having a feel for that. Well, like, yeah, Max
has been doing this for fifteen years at the highest
level for most of that. Like, he's just not He's
not your average thirty three year.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Old, right, No, he's not. I mean, I mean I'm
aging like it's a fucking contest. And he looked thirty three?
Are he thirty three? Did you see how he looked
at the all the ship?
Speaker 2 (29:53):
And I love Max? Max, don't listen to this.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Also, not for nothing. The second Parier fight he got
banged out, man, like do partier put it on him
his face? Afterwards? What made it exciting was how fucking
resilient Max was. And then he would have these punctuated
moments of offense that were like whoa is he going
to turn the tide? But in the end he couldn't
do it, So like dude, I mean I realized he
dealt to Cater, but like he's had moments where he's
been dealt to say nothing of the Taporia knockout itself,
(30:15):
which we've never seen Max have to come back.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
From a right point. He's really the biggest question when
the odds makers are installing Max as the favorite, which
is weird because he lost the first two. Same thing
happened in Toronto Taylor. Yeah, he looked against.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
I actually get why he's the favorite.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
So I want to ask you why, like from a
betting standpoint, is the idea, because it's not the idea
they's gonna kock him out, but the idea that he
will be his volume will be better, He'll have a
better chance to out.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
I don't think he's as much of a volume guy
as he once was. I actually think his volume is
a little bit less. He has more weapons now. I
mean consider in the in the Geechee fight, the spinning
back kick that broke his nose. Some of that was
fortuitous in the way that it landed. To go back
and watched the first fight with or actually be the
second fight with POI, you didn't have any of that.
She he had a couple of knees.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Question, and the second fight he fought so well, but
the power and size difference between the two, and I
get that he's he can now take more time to
build his body up to be a true late with buddy.
I get that, but they were on even terms. But
the bigger guy with bigger power ultimately went out and
felt like he was going to win out as long
as they were willing to stand there and fight. Remember,
is the idea that Pourier's passed it and that his
(31:20):
his output will be so low that the new weapons
of Max. That's what I'm saying. I think we're headed
toward potentially a repeat of the second fight, maybe not
as gnarly, but.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
No, I don't think so. Max's range management is so
much better, his footwork is so much smoother at this point.
It's like night and day fucking difference. And the way
in which he built his body up to take some
of those punches from Gaechee at fifty five. The one
thing I think is saving Max series. He's not going
doing another forty five cut. He was doing another forty
five cut after the Taporia chaos. I'd have real questions,
(31:49):
but he's got a little bit of a cushion relatively speaking.
So I actually feel like Parier, I'm not gonna say,
is on the downswing. I mean again, he looked good
against BSD. He gave Islam, you know, a pretty good fight. Actually, yeah,
he looked quite good again. Yeah, no doubt about it.
I don't think he's like flagging in some kind of way,
But I don't think he's at his peak. To me,
(32:10):
the story of what could go different here is, you know,
some stuff with Paria. Maybe it's really Max is much
bigger in the right way this time, dude. For the
second Paria fight. I talked to his manager at the time.
They just did the exact same stuff they did for
forty five, just a little bit less. They didn't build
up at all, which is why he looked so much
more physical in the Gaychee fight. And remember Gaygee. I
(32:31):
don't play too much MA math here, obviously, but the
reason Max has the belt is because he knocked out
the guy who knocked out Paria. Again, you don't want
to play MMA math. I'm just saying I think he
at fifty five, is a different fighter now than he
once was. It's a massive difference in terms of again, oh,
Max's peak is the guy who knocked out Aldo. That
might be the high water mark of accomplishment. But in
(32:53):
terms of how he looks on tape, he's much better now.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
That's interesting because on my boxing podcast, Race was arguing
that Usik right now, at his age, is actually at
his peak because of the experience and all that goes
into that. That can certainly happen with these fighters.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
But are well it takes less damage though.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Certainly are we walking into another great action fight or
is it going to be more? What long Island Luke
is trying to put out into this world when we
were off camera, a technical thriller could be upon us
I maybe both why not poor killer, no Lo's dose
or whatever however that he was speaking, so yeah, yeah, there, okay,
I'll get Trey Host out of here. Let's do it,
(33:30):
Absolutely do it. I'm trying to manifest you only had
three yeah, at the same time that four years, that's
not a lot.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
I had girlfriends in college, which in retrospect was a
bit of a mistake.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
He was at a frat house, so solely absolute mistake.
I'm trying to manifest this. I think Dustin Poy is
going to come out and point to the ground in
the opening ten seconds because Max said he's definitely doing
that thing, like just because it. Let's do it, man,
why wait till the just open out. You don't have
to spend the whole time like in Foot and the Tire,
going after it. But just kick kick the ship off
(34:07):
and let's go your final fight. Ever, why not?
Speaker 1 (34:10):
One thing that was a big factor surprisingly in the
second fight that I think is overlooked is when here
we can salude thank you, lou could you? Yeah, Ariba,
we gotta thank you.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
This one's for Danny, thank you.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
There's no j in his name. Pourier wrestled towards the
end of that wild Pourier wrestled towards the end of
that fight, and he stalled out a little bit in
the end of the fifth round, in particular, just kind
of holding Max up against the fence. Max's takedown defense
is awesome. He's very hard to get down and he's
especially hard to hold down. But Parier slowed the fight
down when you would see Max build some momentum, I
(34:50):
suspect you want to see something similar here. So the
question is, does Max have a better answer for extracting
himself from being pressed against the fence by Parier. It's
gonna be a big test.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Radically because his footwork is better, So like it it
should be harder for poorer to suck time out of
the fight if he needs to.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yes. And also when when Max was doing that, da
da da da da, you're right there on top of
the guy, and it's much easier to like just level
change underneath it. Whereas Max now is very high up
and down. He's really calculated with his movement. He keeps
a nice balance stance the whole time. So what I'm saying,
man like Pooria will have the superior firepower about that.
I have very little doubt. And another thing that caught
(35:30):
him in the second fight was just Pori's counterpunching really
really good. So you add the counterpunching with the power. Dude,
Max was up against it that he's gonna have to
solve some of these problems this time.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
We're not going to the ground at all.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Right, Well, we just talked about the fact that he
wrestled Max considerably in the end of the fourth and
the fifth rounds.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
I don't think I was here for that. I think
I was the devil.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
He would he would he wouldn't able to get Max
to his hip for just a brief moment. That wasn't
the issue. The issue see was. He would press him
against the fence and then keep him there. Who's the
referee for this one? Do we know? Do we know
who it is? I don't know. I could look it up, though,
I'd be curious to know who it is. Are they
good with separations? Are they good with stand ups? Are
they good with you know?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Do they smell like cold cuts?
Speaker 1 (36:16):
And do they smell like hooch and fours? I don't know?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Yeah, yeah, there it is all right?
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Oh man, it's Mark Goddard.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Okay, would you say the best in the game right now?
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Would you say?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
No? No, Sin is great? Shall fucking rips? Oh? Yes,
I didn't know. We call him Shin.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
He was the one that took a point recently? Was
that fight?
Speaker 2 (36:40):
I don't remember, but I remember like.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Around took a point.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Josh doesn't get the gigs name.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Well, you know, you go to jail for drug crimes.
They tend to frown on that, even though you know they.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Could hang though, right, I mean theoretically, yeah, Like, I
don't know, I don't know what drug crimes you went for?
Speaker 1 (37:03):
So marijuana liked hundreds of pounds of.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Maybe like some Nate Newton ship if you know what
I'm talking about probably, but I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
I don't even know we held those hats.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Yeah, and it barely fits my large melon. But you
know I love this color, right, So yeah, you and
your cross track that Yes, looking back on the prime
Little Fair lineup, if you could pick, if you could
pick one lady in her prime jewel, was she love?
(37:33):
That's that's what I believe she did a perform if
she did so clear this is some real old man ship.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Literally, I literally listened to the entire Clips album.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
And I was like, it's fucking it's great.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
It's great, But I was like, I don't even know
if it's great because I don't know what the fucking
kids care about anymore.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Not great for the kids. But like, also, Clips is
your age, so it's exactly graduate high school?
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Jed, what high school did you go to?
Speaker 2 (38:01):
I went to h Vy Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Warriors what what? What? What? A were you all? One?
Double five?
Speaker 2 (38:10):
So but uh no, we didn't like we would play
them in like playoffs. Ever been to Big Chicken? I
have driven by, but I've never been to the Big Chicken.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
It's a real thing. It is absolutely people orients around it,
like just go.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
All Mount Marian Asians nowadays Asians, what something about the orient?
I'm like, that's such an outdated phrase, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 1 (38:39):
If this is where I would get, I would get
I would get.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Then he's four shots deep of the Devil's reserve.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
You know, you're four shots in three?
Speaker 2 (38:53):
Were only three and three? And yeah, it's been a
good run so far. Let's see if we can lose.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
I think you need to try with up the mountain
doing it really is, you.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Should try it without it. Just you don't have to
do like forty.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Five, are you under the impression I've not had alcohol? No,
like before, you've never.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Had devil, never had Devil's reserve. Don't You don't have
to take a whole shot, just just taking it.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Don't need lecturing and prodding from you, peer pressuring sacks
of ship.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
I think that I just know your opinion on it.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
I'm sure, yeah, listen, it's great. I'm going to drink it.
How I like, I'm a forty five year old man.
This is the stage of the life.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
I mean, did you buy a ticket just for yourself?
Were also your vagine?
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Okay? Fine, fine, fine, I'll allow it.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
He would I would have to find out if he
could speak to us at how smooth.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
It is, you know, you know, well, you know what
with my Mountain dew zero, it's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Yeah, I'm sure it is. Back to this main event. Jed,
that's awesome. It is pretty damn awesome.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
You haven't asked the right question, which is please, which
is what do we say about the career of of
Dustin Pourier at this point, a model citizen in a
sport filled with absolute fucking goons.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Would you say he's the new Randy Couture in a
sense like that's interesting, beloved American hero and.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Tory had higher achievements.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
That's Randy's back home. Oh for the NHRA accident in
which he was airlifted from the fire. Shout out to Randy.
He'll be on at twelve thirty today. I'm saying from
like the beloved backbone American man who perseveres. That's the
ultimate drive.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
I mean to me, he's like what the fight game
is supposed to be all about. And not in the
best case scenario, because it was best case he would
have won a million titles. But what I mean to
say is here's a guy who came from nothing, who
had a lot of ability, committed himself to his craft,
never got in trouble once he did obviously he came
from a life of trouble, but once he committed, never
did it. Never had a falling out with his gym,
(40:55):
never had a falling out with his coaches. The only
time there was any kind of falling out was as
a related to Kolby Coving And who is you know,
a professional agitator basically, and no one really counts that
family guy set up a philanthropy. With the philanthropy gives
back to his community, made him in his family rich,
securing his children's future. This is what it's for. Yeah,
this is what it's fucking for. This is how it
(41:17):
is done. And he did it and the end, the
fact that he did it without actually ever winning a
full weight class title in some ways makes it even
more incredible. He is a credit to the fight game
and when he leaves in terms of what he represents,
who is the next guy doing that? I don't know
who that was.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Wouldn't go as far as saying he's the greatest fighter
not to be an undisputed UFC champion. He's in the conversation,
fatally in it, but he's not on top of that.
I would say though, that man, I'd rather have his reputation,
resume and legacy than most guys or girls who have
won a championship, including some have won multiple championships, right, Like,
wouldn't you want to be talked about, beloved and remembered
(41:54):
the way that Dustin already is? Yes, very few fight
careers I would rather have than Dustin Ployes because he
is a well luke, he's a good person. Like he is,
he should be the aspirational thing for all fire high
school sweetheart like all this, like just all of the
stuff that he has done, Like there's no neck. Nobody
has anything bad to say about him except Connor McGregor,
Who's Connor McGregor And Kobe Covington, Who's Kobe Covington. I'm
(42:16):
trying to see what the hell we've put there?
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Once studied abroad no longer allowed within five hundred feet,
get it?
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Yes, you can tell BC ros out that one, that
one's not the best effort that ever happened. But yeah,
like who there are not I don't know ten careers
that I'd rather have than Porier's given he did accomplish
a lot even if he was never an undisputed champion,
made a shitload of money and was a great dude.
And that's just like, that's all you can ask for,
(42:43):
any blood.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
And a good teammate. Like how many times did I
watch Belator and he's in the corner of like Sabajo Massi,
you know what I mean, like just staying low key,
helping out everyone else, time away from his family to
help out other people. Like it's really fucking remarkable. Now
to the point that you raise who who is the
greatest UFC fighters never won a full weight class title.
It's an interesting conversation because a lot of folks might
(43:06):
say Dan Henderson, but Dan held two Pride titles simultaneously.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
You know, he also won a tournament.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Right well, so you could also say you're Ryah Faber,
but Faber had a WEC title. If you take out
the people who had major titles and major organizations outside
of UFC and then just focus on the UFC ones,
Poarier's got a case for number one is a case
if he beats Max Con, if he beats Maxhaff had
the interim title, and you can put whatever value want
on the BMF title. But again, he would have taken
(43:33):
it off of the guy who took it off of him,
which represents something ending at a high water or something
of a high water mark. It puts them in very
interesting conversation and part of the generation of the very
best lightweights to ever do it right, these generations of
the Dustins and the Justins and the Eddie alvarezz. You
can throw Dosangos in there. Connor McGregor you would throw
(43:54):
in there as well, and many many other names. Charles
Olavera is in there as well. All those guys in
there are fucking war horses that brewed a generation of
fight fans, and even Dan Hooker on a tangential side
because of the fight they had in the Apex. All
of these guys lifted the fucking sport. This is what
I mean. What the fuck else do you want out
(44:15):
of a fighter? Dude? Dustin Parier was that fucking.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
Guy also knocked out Connor McGregor.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Fucking knocked out Commis twice.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
I mean, it's remarkable in a weird way, though, isn't
his most important and arguably best win? The second one
against Max Allaway gave him the interim title that allowed
him to say.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
That big one was the big one, was Connor right,
that's the most important one, the second.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
Best win, but it's his most important one.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
I mean that made an MK reel based on my reaction.
That's true, you know what I mean, Like it's a
fucking big deal.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
His best win is either Max or Eddie maybe or
or Gaechee one.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Just I mean, think about the fucking murderer's row of dudes.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
He's a They've been going up on on Twitter and
Ship all day. It's like Graphics was like, oh yeah,
all he thought was stone.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Stone cold one after the other after year after year
after year. And it wasn't a perfect run. It was
a fucking good one.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
He has that like Edson Barbosa resume, except for he
won a lot more fights in that run than eds. Right.
Luckily they didn't play the retirement video for John Jones
because now he's going to be back on the White
House lawn.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Sure is not what type of treatment will pour or
you know, just like jumping over the fence or.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Even like they know this is going to happen. It's
a headlining of a pay per view in his home city,
win or lose. What type of treatment does Pourier get?
Full on video tribute? Full on like, like, what is
this going to be?
Speaker 1 (45:42):
He's going to be treated like a fucking god in
that arena and he's Smoothie King arena, right, that's correct? Downtown,
it's not. I was just in New Orleans for spring break.
It was it's right down there and it went near
the dome and near downtown. I mean, you tell me,
but I I feel like if he wins, the roof
is going to get blown off that place. But even
if he doesn't, there's just gonna be tears and tributes
(46:04):
and everything in between. Candy crush, candy crush.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
I'm checking the text from our producer. But he's got
to be the adult in this room. Okay, He's definitely
getting a video package, like, there's no doubt about that.
He'll get the he'll be the last to speak. Even
if Max wins, they'll do the whole thing, and the
place will love him because they should. He's beloved for
a reason.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Man.
Speaker 2 (46:30):
Earlier, I was calling that Quervo Devil's Reserve, the wrong name,
Devil's Reserve. Yes, I'm going to be going to be
on that in the future, so shout out right there.
We got to get into the prediction here of what
happens and how this ends in what this fight looks like.
I think we're getting an action fight. I know it's
going to be competitive. I would put money down that
it's going the distance. That's where I stand right now. First,
(46:51):
who wins? I don't know. I felt like it was
going to be Max coming in a lot of the
pre fight video banter embedded countdown. I come out of
there going maybe it's, you know, the same, Maybe Max
is fighting the same kind of uphill battle against someone
who's like him, but a little bit bigger, more power.
I guess I gotta lean Dustin by decision here. What
parts of my summation are wrong? I'm going Dustin by decision,
(47:14):
And I don't know if I believe that or if
I just want to believe it because it's the better outcome.
And you love Dustin as much as you hate Chandler
and Taporio, right, everyone loves Dustin. No, I don't have
any issues. I don't love toa Poria's personality that has
manifested where he is. I get why he's doing it.
I don't blame him for it. That Leanda bullshit, Oh
lo Leianda. That was That was the moment where I
(47:35):
was like.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Fun, he walked it back, had some sense of me.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
Then credit to him for figuring that one out.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
Man.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
But like, no, I hate Chandler, but I don't. I
don't hate Taboria and I have to come to grips.
So that Toori is going to be in my life
for eight years as one of the best fire slaughter. Uh.
Everyone loves Porri. I love Poria. Poorier. He's not the
most meaningful fighter to me in his career, like justin
Gachie is a meaningful fighter to me. Is just like
a tear down from that. Yeah, but it's like you
(48:04):
everyone wants him. We get so few like good retirements
in this sport, and give him the Robbie Lawler treatment
plus one, like give him the full on. Yeah, it's
it's that to the next level because it would be Max.
And if Max loses, it doesn't really burn him down, right,
like he's still competing. Be a setback, but he's not
fighting for the belt immediately anyway, It's way better. So
(48:26):
I'm I'm hoping he wins, and I'm I do think
he has a really good chance because I am the
big thing. I don't know how Max gonna look coming
off of the first K A lot like he and
you're right, he has improved dramatically from the second fight.
He was getting tuned up at spots in that like
he was it has never left me when it will
(48:46):
go back. He was going back to the corner and
be like he's blocking weird and couldn't get past the
defense of Pourrier and then was getting hurt. I think
some of that can still exist, and especially with the chin,
like where is it like we I don't know, because
you mentioned earlier Vulk was always going to lose to Porio.
I think that's true. I've watched that fight a lot,
(49:07):
and it Vulk was not the same dude coming off
a KO loss, And I don't know if Max is
going to be Max's chin has been legendary forever and
now it's not.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
How does he reacts?
Speaker 2 (49:18):
It's going to be a Ladell situation or once you
crack that code, the codes busted forever. Louke who wins
on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
You don't take a leap of faith here I'll say Max.
I think Max will maybe write the ship this time.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
To pay back for all the love you give to
before and after that.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
I don't owe anyone anything for that other than you,
because I was right about it a whole mother times.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
So spicy, like like some devils or you took the
whole thing down.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Yes, all right, Time for Margarita number two.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
I love to see this guy shooting.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
I might have to go pistol. Can we call it talk?
Take a break not from the broadcast, but just my
participation in the broadcast, because I had a bunch of
drink on the train.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
I was definitely gonna crap his pants. Don't use the
non shipping.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
I no longer ship in logs, just piles.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Thank you very much. Speaking of piles, let's go to
the rest of this card. Let's get like a goddamn bear.
I uh, there we go, There we go. This train
wreck of a show will roll on. Let's go to
this co made event. Paulo Posta, the Brazilian slugger who
hasn't beaten a fighter. I saw the stat under age
thirty eight and like, what how long? Like like eight
(50:21):
years or something. Luke has it because Luke brought that
up to me yesterday and I didn't realize what is
the stat.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
I don't know it off the top of my head.
Speaker 5 (50:29):
But he hasn't He only beat Luke rock Hold in
the last like five years or something.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Old Costa has lost four of his last five against
a Roman Copylov who has won six of his last seven.
Yet there are levels and differences in how we perceive
these two fighters. Long on Luke, what is the current
DraftKings odds on this comin event?
Speaker 5 (50:46):
We got Roman copylv at minus two thirty eight. Interesting,
Hello Costa plus one ninety five.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
So they do based on recent form? Have that affiliated there?
Where are we at in the Polo Costa experiencecase?
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Is that might.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Explain or define what we see on Saturday. Do we
still see him as a viable contender or just an
exciting dude who who makes secret juice jokes? He's not
a viable continder. Middleweight has come so far in the
last two years, like there's been this big turnover. It's
it's a vibrant, exciting division. We've got DDP my boy. Uh. Theoretically,
(51:23):
Hamzap may in fact be the champion in like a
month from now he won't DDP is gonna win that.
Just just so you guys know, I'm not looking ripped
in these Yeah, it's gonna suck for him after he
doesn't win in the first round, DP crushes him. Wow,
but you have been a day one. I have been
a day one. DDP guy Kyle roo is coming. That's
what the EME evolve like they're they're doing that thing.
I mean, they're knocking.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
I don't. I wouldn't let him in.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Though, and you know we'll see Kyle Rollo maybe, But
like middleweight has come so far, and Paula Costa has
been oddly absent from doing things lately, But you don't
you think he's better than Roman Copulave on'm the surface
not counting this in history. I don't know that at all, honestly,
Like he's got some better wins. But even at the time,
(52:06):
Paulo Costa felt like he we're giving him an isy
title shot because there's not a lot of other people
and he is fun, but like he didn't win like
a ton of super impressed.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
I'm with you on that and would you there is
the argument fair to say that he's never been the
same since the red Wine incident against that, he's never
been as dangerous or as committed to a game plan.
He goes in there these days winging it and it broke.
It broke, Yeah, but it's it seems extra. It broke
some mystique because there was the mystique that he was
just going to march forward and just wing hard shots
(52:39):
at you. And then is he really embarrassed him? And
he's had some okay performances since then, But also he's
just doing all that other ship, like I don't the
man is online in the worst ways.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
Yeah, so he's super hardcore online.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
So after getting stopped by Izzy, he loses a decision
Marvin ventory then takes a decision from old Luke Rockold
than a wild ass fight, and then drops back to
back decisions to Robert Whitaker, and then by split decision
to Sean Strickland. Last time Luke, I asked Jed where
we're at in the Paulo Coasta experience. He's a betting
underdog coming in. He's lost four of his last five.
He's creeping up there into his mid thirties. Is he
(53:18):
just a fun attraction?
Speaker 1 (53:19):
Yeah, that's about it. I mean he could beat Copylov
because Copylov, I wouldn't say has bad defense, but you know,
we'll throw down at times where he can be hit.
But Kopylov is a better striker than him. He's more explosive,
he's faster, he has more weapons. He's hard nosed about
it too. Like he's got a real punishing style of kickboxing.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
He just had kick Chris Curtis earlier this year.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Yeah, and I mean, like, you know, the reality is like,
as I said, Copylov is not without his limits, but
Costa has to have you up against the fence for
a ko. It's really against a guy who is as
violent and authoritative of a striker as a kickboxer. Anyway,
copulav Is, I think it's gonna be He's not gonna
(54:01):
have a whole lot of opportunity, And it could happen.
It wouldn't be the craziest thing, but I think Copylav
is gonna fuck him up.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
Jed gave this card to B plus, which is preposterous.
What do you give this comaine event It's it gonna
be a little greade, man.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I mean, this is the point. We didn't I didn't
get a chance to say it earlier obviously, but if
this card was free on ABC just as it is,
I would have a pretty high opinion of it, or
certainly a much higher one. What are you gonna say?
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Let me ask, so. I think that's a great point.
What if it just had a good comaine, Because this
is a dog shit comaine, like as a comain, But
what if the comaine was I don't know, a women's
flyway title fight or so like some generic comaine that
is a title fight. Yeah, like n would be terrific
(54:45):
versus Corey, Like just give it a not like a
top tier you know thing that would obviously be a
main but a generic comb.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
I mean I said this on some Mission Radio, which
was if you actually just go fight by fight, there's
actually quite a bit to like in terms of action. Sure,
but for example, Kevin Holland is fighting who's a fight
d Rod. This is a fight that I have no
problem with as a fight. But there's nothing there's there's
no storyline to any of this. There's a huge storyline
to the main events and then everything after that. There's
(55:17):
no rivalry between the fighters, there's no connection between the fighters.
There's no narrative, there's no nothing, and so it's like
the only thing that's got story is a fight that
we love with two fighters that are beloved. They do
have history, and that's why the countdown episode was basically
just them. They didn't basically nothing else. Well, why is
(55:37):
that because there's no fucking story to tell.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
It's like it's just well, the only story is that
Holland is turning around on forty two days and it's
going to be his.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Fourth of the fucking year.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Him and de Rod are coming off of two fight
win streaks, which is better than the opposite. De Rod
though thirty eight hasn't shown us lately that he's even
with the two finds that he's going I guess in
the right direction. But is this if we have to
assign meaning to this fight, is that about Kevin Holland
continuing to take I want to say, take it serious
at welterweight and make a run at it.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
I think, yeah, this is just a welterweight campaign. You
look at his most recent losses. You know, you know
he lost earlier this year to renear de Ritter. Well, okay, well,
I mean he shouldn't have been fighting him anyway.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
We can just be future champion.
Speaker 1 (56:23):
Yeah, maybe so exactly like that, that loss will not
age poorly other than to say it's like, Kevin, why
were you fighting guys like this? You know? And in
him if.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
He's the new cowboy, Yeah, but it might be a
little bit.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
I mean it might be a little bit. It's hard
to say if he's better or not because we haven't
seen that fully tested. But there are reasons to believe
that maybe he could be the new cowboy. It even
a little bit better. He can thump, he's durable, he's
actually got pretty good submissions in certain cases. He's built
for one seventy. He's in the right waight class. Now
there's some reason for optimism.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Depending on how many children he sired. He could be
the new cowboy Oliver Right. People forget he was competitive
with the current welterweight champion, like the Jack fight, and
Kevin Holland was scrappy, like he's he's just a welterweight
and doing the middleweight hip was always very very stupid,
and he wants to stay active, okay, but this is
this is that this is the cowboy, Like, just commit
(57:13):
to one goddamn thing and see if you can make
a run at it because maybe could well. Now, look,
you have a line on the Holland versus d Rod fight.
Speaker 5 (57:21):
Yeah, give me one secon Kevin Holland minus five hundred whoa.
Speaker 1 (57:27):
Eighty? Whoa? Kevin Holland's beaten much better guys than d Rod.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
That's the issue That d Rod two fight win streak
involves a split decision over Alex Morono and then a
stoppage of Santiago Pons nibbi.
Speaker 1 (57:37):
Also, he's almost forty, Yes, he is definitely not.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
It's kind of a filler fight. Let's be fair.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
This is what I mean. It's like, do I hate
this fight? I don't hate this fight at all, but like,
what does it mean?
Speaker 2 (57:48):
All right, let's go on further down the car. Let's
go and let's spend the way calories on this. But
they're all tasty calories. Well, this will be a tasty fight.
This will be a tasty action fight at Featherway. Danny
Gay coming in there against a Patricio Pipple who was
disap winning in his UFC debut despite being up there
in age in his late thirties against Yeahyi Rodriguez, This
I guess gives him the opportunity to get a UFC
win under his belt and redeem it. Dan Ega coming
(58:10):
in though at age thirty three, still in the mix
of it. What are our expectations in terms of the
meaning and what we're gonna see in this fight. I
do think this fight has meaning because this is do
or die for Pitbull. Like if he loses, this where
just the pit Bull came too late, came to the
party too late, and that'll be a shame and we'll
talk about that for a long time. I don't know
(58:31):
what the stakes are for Ega, other than he's like
he gives eg. He's just a rock solid. He's been
in the top ten forever, probably will be in the
top ten. Stop Sean Woodson. That's not nothing like. He's
still like he is. People hate the term gatekeeper, but
it's it is a noble profession. Someone's got to protect
the city from the goddamn barbarian lords, and that's Danny
(58:52):
Gay's job. At the top ten. He's gonna fucking he
is the litmus test.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
He's the marker of excellence. You want to be a
top guy, you got to beat Danny Gay. Simple as
that doesn't there's no other way to say it.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Shout out to Eric Nickson, a hiss coach yep.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
And by the way, Pitbull, you know he I just
I want to say one thing. It drives me fucking
nuts when MMA fans are currently like, oh, you know,
these Beltour guys are bumps. And I'm not putting Beltour
on the same level as Strikeforce, But what I'm gonna
say is you're not getting a prime fucking pit Bull.
He is very much post prime.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
The last three of his last four combined right, one
win is Jeremy Kennedy.
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Yeah. I mean it's like, you got to understand what
you're getting here, you know, getting if they had pulled
over the Beltore roster when he was at his peak,
you would have gotten a very different experience. I everyone
said the same thing about the WC roster and then
those guys dominated, and said the same thing about Strikeforce.
Then those guys dominated. I'm not saying that is what
is in sore for Pitbull, But what I'm saying is
the sanctimonious look around like all these other promotions can't
(59:50):
do it. It's like, well, one, we're a different level
of MMA, and also this fucker is old. Yeah, for
forty five, he's old. So, like, you know, if he
gets a win at all, a win here would be
what's the what's the odds on this one?
Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
For Pitple minus two eighteen Egay plus one eighty it's
about right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
I mean, it's kind of a This is an uphill,
fucking climb for him.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
We got de Rod at thirty eight on this main card,
Patricio Pippole at thirty eight, Michael Johnson and the opener
also at thirty nine, So we are there.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
I saw him recently in this episode.
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
Yeah, they are rolling out some old folk there, but
specific to Egay versus Pitbull, can pipple redeem himself and.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Put a UFC win on the border. I think it's
unlikely but possible. I mean, he does have power. How
about that euteen he's got, man, he does have good submissions.
It's just I'm not gonna say he's got an antiquated
skill set. I don't think that's quite right. But I
think the way in which Ega sets up offense is
a little bit more fluid and new, and for a
guy who's kind of aging out a little bit, I
(01:00:47):
think it might be too much.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Do you think the captain should maybe take the focus
off fashion and focus.
Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
More on Captain Eric Eric Alberta Si.
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Gess my one of my favorite people in MMA. I
don't think that fashion will help him. Pipple's just look,
you had it. He had a great run. He's just old, like,
I don't know you're going to get here one hundred percent.
The only way I think Pipple could maybe have some
success if he does go to the grappling, but hegays
historically been pretty solid at not getting taken down. But like,
(01:01:16):
Pipple's not gonna kill him, like, and that would be
the other thing. Just try and hit him real Hardanny
doesn't doesn't die, He can't really be finished. So this
is a really hard look for him here. He did
not get the eat. And I thought the ear fight
made sense for Pipple, like that was winnable. He would
have got a title shot if he won that. Yeah,
And it was a winnable, Like that's probably the most
(01:01:36):
winnable of those matchups you could give him in that range,
and he couldn't get it done. I think the time
has just gone for him. He came too late, all right,
is the time still here? And our opener of the
pay per views thirty nine year old Michael Johnson, who's
on a little bit of a resurgence streak with two wins,
brings in a brawler and Daniel Zelhuber, who's coming off
of that fantastic Sphere fight, the split Discvision loss to
(01:01:57):
Esteban Rievovich. Is this about action and nothing else? Or
are we looking at a bounce back and someone you
can build in Zelhuber?
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
I did they't want to build the young Mexican kid
twenty six? I think he still is rangy. Michael Johnson
just enormous. Yeah, Michael Johnson can thump, but he you know,
he's up, he's down, he's up, he's downs. He wants
knocked Dustin Poorti out cold in the first round. No
less what party threw an uppercut with no setup as
his lead punch, So that's a no no. But yeah,
(01:02:26):
I mean, I think this is really about Daniel getting
a nice win over a name that fans might recognize
against a guy who's aging. But you know, we'll fucking
slug it out.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
With you, damn right that he will.
Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
That is your pay per view main card. That was
a brief discussion.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
What I mean this is that should have been This
should be a show on ABC.
Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
But that's I'm telling you. Talk to me on fucking
Sunday morning. You're gonna be like, I have a fucking
great time Saturday night because all of that's action. Are
we gonna talk about it for weeks? No, but we're
not gonna talk about any shit for weeks anyway. Abu
Dabi's next week, the Road Toabu Dobby starts Sunday, like
we will talk about the Max Dustin thing and everyone
be like, man, that was a fucking great night.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
When are you going to Vegas tomorrow? Where's the Rocks
Project X sneakers during.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Inter can't can't say I do that? Uh, those are
our top fights there.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
No, he's not paying you to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
You already know that this episode of Morning Combat has
presented you by DraftKings and the crown is yours and fellows.
When we're talking about Pick six from DraftKings, when we're
talking about looking at the fights, and you know what
pick six brings to the table, picking fighters going more
or less in specific categories and cashing out as a
big result of that. When you look, for example, at
(01:03:39):
this main event, they have the significant strikes over under
set for Max Holloway over five rounds at one thirty
one point five. Justin Pourrier said, at one twelve point five,
you're going more or less smashing the over for max
one thirty five. You can do that in two rounds
if that fight goes the distance. We could see that
right there, Luke. When you're looking at some of these
(01:04:01):
matchups and some of these breakdowns here, you can see takedowns.
You can go over under. For example, you can see
significant strikes, like we're talking about total strikes. Sixty four
point five is the over under total strikes for Paulo
Costa in that matchup.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
For example, Well, I take the under all that I do.
That's considering he's going to be doing a lot of defending.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Indeed, indeed in that regard. So you know, you can
head on over there and download the DraftKings Pick six
app right now. Use our code combat that's kombat, and
for all new customers you can get that special offer.

(01:05:06):
I think Danny Gave is a great pick when we're
talking about significant strikes in and over under here and
the possibility of what he can bring spamming wise in
a matchup with Patricio Pipple, see a spam puncher's certainly
can be Certainly he can put up. He's probably and
he's probably not gonna finish pit Bull, so he'll have
more opportunity.
Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
Pitbull used to be made of fucking iron, and now
he's he's not shinny, but he's not.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
It's true. You know, I'm less confident he's not going
to finish him than I was like two three years ago. Uh.
What we have else on this card? Our preliminary feature
fight is in the bandamweight division is Kyler Phillips takes
on Vnisius Olivera.
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
This is an interesting one to me Kyler Phillips has
looked good on tape. I know he had a recently lost,
but he's also gotta win over how many Barcelos as
well as Patrol Muno's. He for a while looked pretty good,
but like the Little Green, didn't quite put everything together.
I don't know how this one's gonna go, how y'all
feel about it, But I'm still I think, what is
he just thirty? Problem is Lok Dog has looked real
(01:06:05):
good of late, and he gets stronger as the fight
goes on. Tough one. I think I think Kyler might
be up against it. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Yeah, that's awesome, That's like, this is gonna be really fun.
I Lookdog coming off Contender series, I just thought he
needed a lot of development, and he has done. He's
done that quite quickly this YOC career. I think he's
more dynamic, and I guess I'll favor him to win.
But like this is this is perfect matchmak.
Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
Odds on this one long allan last night.
Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
Look, I'm pulling it up right now. Let's see Kyler
Phillips plus one twenty four, Venetias Olivera minus one forty eight.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
It's about right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Yeah, as we moved on far down this card, you
feel like at this middleweight fight Marvin Vittori versus Brendan Allen,
it almost feels like a loser Casino. Yeah, it really does.
Marvin Victori has lost three of his last four, and
Brendan Allen, from being considered at one point a contender
in this division has us two straight. So I guess
the question is which guy's going in that direction. Brendan
(01:07:04):
Allen's still twenty nine, which is well, Luke, you had
the Brendan Allen has he beats everyone who's over like
the age of thirty four some shit. Oh it was
Kevin Holland was sorry and Paulo cost Paulo cost thirty
eight and over here. I believe it's unbelievable. Uh yeah,
Marvin Vatory is washed and Brendan Allen is still decent.
I saw marv Vatory unembedded working out with fellow Italian
(01:07:26):
Alessio Sakara, talking about making a return until he's going
to be a threat to knock people out. The whole
idea of I've got a great chin and I can
go five rounds against anybody who's going to leave you
to leg you to five round defeats the more you
step up. I mean, we've kind of seen it. Is
there still time to change for Tori's game or.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
No, well he went to att he left the West Coast.
I mean, the thing with Vittri is like he's so
fucking big and just looks like a like he's like
the the what you would want out of like a
big middleweight. You're like, oh, wow, he's got a rock
chin and he looks the part. But then just his
skill set just hasn't not roam. He stays just stagnant, stagnant.
(01:08:05):
Brendan Allen is up and down, but he's definitely got
a little bit of moxie and he's got good grappling.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
I'd like to see him keep fighting Fluffy Hernandez. They
do make fun fights against each other.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Yeah, well, Fluffy is at this point I think maybe
a bit of a bad matchup. But you know, Brendan
Allen is more skillful from what we've seen, but he
also is a bit of a bigger risk taker. That
one is an interesting ish kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
Is there any other fights on this deep undercard you
guys care about, because I would just want to talk
about have you seen this shit basically, you know we
could go to that. I mean, Jimmy Croup Marcine Procneo
is incredible because Jimmy Crup's like a massive betting favor
and he hasn't wont to fight since.
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Twenty twenty, which is the worst haircut in MMA.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Incredibly funny. Uh, And I really like the opening fight
of the evening, but we don't need to talk about
long now. Look, you usually have some undercard betting gems.
I'm sure the main card minute will be hoppin' and poppin'
this week.
Speaker 5 (01:08:54):
Will definitely be hopping and popping. PFL and UFC this week.
Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Oh, this car is there's PFL this week that I
thought they were in like fucking you know, I don't
know Oklahoma City or some ship.
Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
No, it's just Cape Town, South Africa. But yeah, we're
doing it, uh on the prelims, I mean, yeah, the
Cameroonian guy who was incredible, this this car doesn't. It
has a lot of one sided matchups on the prelims.
Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
So it's really it's it's a lack of storylines. I
think that's really it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Up and down.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
It's just very it's very fight night thrown.
Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
Against amazing storyline in the main event and then just.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Will Dana show up? Yeah, spy is retirement, don't mean
ship I'll say, showed up in Nashville. I was very
surprised by that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
I wonder if now that's a function of how much
the tourism board is paying, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Like the consider that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
But that's why was he in Baku.
Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
I just wanted to visit.
Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
They paid for Bucks and Bak, they paid for him
to show.
Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
Before we get into the missing UH feces left over
from BC's FECs on Monday that we had a great
guest in your house. Heyes, in your house, Craig Jones.
And by the way, that interview is performing well for us,
performing very well, so well done on that. Would we
want to hit the devil's reserve one more? Is that
too much to ask?
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
Let's go, everyone has as we.
Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Pour this and get it ready, we scour the globe
on Sundays, we're going to push it off to today.
We have Jed to join us. This is the highs
and lows, the good the bad in UH Combat Sports
and beyond this one's called have you seen BC's BC

wh I'll drink to that. Wow all right, Luke, one
more time for the people the Devil War. You just
go right to the top with your because Luke gives
me so.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Much cheat like a hoe. That's why no cheat on
this one. Bitch. I poured two of those. Three of
those are in this motherfucking Enjoy your chaser way way
down yonder on the chat of Hoochie It gets hotter
(01:11:10):
Hoochie Coucci on the George.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
Ash down in the Tennessee Hill.
Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Every time I hear that song, which is not awten,
but every time I hear it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
I'm always like, I say, do you do you listen to?
You cue that up a lot in your morning commute,

got some packing tips for you here.
Speaker 1 (01:11:30):

Pooh my pants, poop my pants, poot my pants, poot
my pants, and poot my pants. Okay, maybe just don't travel.

keep it going. Look, I hope you pack this shirt

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Up, feeling cute my clog the toilet later.
Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
Hell yeah, all right, Piles Jeed has donated a hat
for you to wear with your family. I snort, Yeah,
I don't know if my wife would let me wear
that in d We really haven't getting your take on
on on eating ass. It's always ass eating season.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
I mean, if you do it, do you eat us?
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
I don't think I'm gonna talk about this in public.
The answer is no, thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
That's because you're lame.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
And also, Lukey got a backup hat if you needed
to this weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Less nagging, poor one.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
There we go. All right, Hey, w W SmackDown was in.
Uh was over the weekend and we saw a washed
celebrity show up. Check out Fred Durst of Lip. What
a beard.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
I didn't realize Santa Claus was such a juggal.
Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
Yeah, damn he looks bad, right, I mean has a
very white beard in the.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
Sense, you know, he doesn't look too Honestly, he could
look worse, given how the late nineties only two thousands.
Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
Went some middle aged guys like Oscar de la Hoya.
They're just holding it together, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
You mean through surgical intervention.
Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
Speaking of Oscar, let's check this out.
Speaker 5 (01:13:02):
Hey, what does the film people bring on the visioness?
Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
I got him on right now, he's steered all the
way into that one. Yeah, I believe him on that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
That's the only way to survive that is just to
completely get into it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
He just ripped like Burlonga was trying to bring that
to him, which was obviously very stupid because you know
he wasn't fighting.
Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
Oh yeah, and uh, this fucking idiot has been trying
to tell me for two years that Burlonga is actually
good and finally.
Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
That he's not as bad as everyone says. There's no
chance he's horrible. He got knocked out, but he went
in there to fight. He fought well into he got
knocked out. I'm not vouching that he's going to be a.
Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
World be true of anybody who gets knocked out to
a degree.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
All right, Look, you always say I'm not cultured. I
don't try food from around the world. If you tried bread.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
Food, you don't know, you're food racist.
Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
Have you ever tried bread from Finland? Finish?
Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Check this out.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
You mean to tell me that Finnish people would sit
down for dinner. Look there, mother or father dead in
the eye and say, will you grab me a piece
of that juicy pussy?
Speaker 6 (01:14:09):
You guys are fucking I've.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Always been a fan of bread.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
Yeah, they had that bread on Billy Bush's bus. Dude,
you know, Trump out his slice. Hey, let's keep it going.
Are you a big boat into? I love boating. I
could see you.
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
What are you a lake lanear redneck?
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
So I've had to do. I grew up on the coast,
so I want to be in the real water. But
you live in Atlanta. It's really your only fucking option.
There's it's dangers in boating, especially when you bring alcohol in.
Let's watch this. Sometimes you get a little those waves,
(01:14:45):
all right, Sometimes you just your friends. You know we're
big on elder abuse. We also have to show the
other side of it. It's child abuse. Let's head over
to the bumper cars. Look, you gotta put two key
behind that seatbelt, just in cases. God, oh wow, Jesus. Yeah,
let's keep the kid injuries going. Let's go to the
water slide.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Kids, get the fucking named on this ship.
Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
You want it front row? You got front row? Wow? Oh,
it's like being front row Gallagher Right, Oh god damn.
Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
That was how I just pissed in that toilet out there.
I just sprayed that port.
Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Yeah, did your pants look like this afterwards?
Speaker 1 (01:15:34):
You know, I gotta tell you third world firearm safety,
if not the highest standard.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
Well, look, the golf colase is the golf course is
becoming a dangerous place. Have you seen x NHL enforcer
Nick Tamaski?
Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
Who did he play for?
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
I don't even know. I don't really speak Nick Tarnaski.
Long on, Luke, you know this fellow?
Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
Can you look up who he played for?
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Nick Tarnaski getting into a fight on the golf course.
Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
Watch this.
Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
You need to get off the golf course. No, no, no, no,
let's go. This is one of the best cliffs Remer show.
This is It's a really good one.
Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
Man. We had a million.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Attorney like this. Come on, man, that's tart asking throwing
him in the water.
Speaker 1 (01:16:18):

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
He's calling that bang with each punch pushing the piece
of ship off, Like honestly, he's really these guys friends intervened,
and honestly he's taking it easy. That's the thing is
he's being really reasonable for most delivering.
Speaker 1 (01:16:47):
The bang with Yeah, look at look at him.
Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
He's just.
Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
He tossed that motherfucker like trash. Tossed the trash in
the back of the wall on the grass.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
He's not launching him into the the car path and
the kid keeps coming. Lukes it.
Speaker 5 (01:17:06):
He played for Tampa Bay, Florida and Nashville.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Are you kidding? That's the most wife material. Every is
pretty good there, And if you've got riends you can
try this fart trick that Luke tries on me oft
and what submission is that called? That's great?
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
You know, literally had a discussion on the show about
whether or not you could fart in an mm A
fight and to what extent.
Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
That weize people weaponized on somebody and.
Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
They're fucking gross anyway. They always smell awful.
Speaker 5 (01:18:24):
Like I just want to say, Brady Heatstand beat Garrett Armfield,
and Brady tweeted after him, was like, Garrett, that fart
you ripped mid fight was like brutal, and they both
like like.
Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
North south position, you just sit up and you know,
if you want to get narally, go justin kish level, just.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
Let it all go on strategy and MMA fighters to
take a dump in your hand and then throw it
like a Hollway.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
That's wonderful, new new shadow boxing trick you can work
on here. Check this out. You gotta work out on vacation, right,
you know, you know that were not Yeah, I don't
know that. I did not know where that was going.
Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
All right, You ever go back I'm assuming that that
was reasonably consensual. I mean not exactly, but mostly kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
You ever go back to old movies from the eighties
and nineties that we grew up.
Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
It's just pro rape.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
It's just there are a lot of things that you shouldn't.
You never you'll never remember. You're always blown away at
what you hear. Check out this from home alone too.
Speaker 1 (01:19:19):
Excuse me, where's mister Epstein down.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
The hall and to the left. Yes, yeah, that is wild?
All right? You know who hate what? Woman lu hates
more than any other in the world. I couldn't fathom.
I guess the weird French cake lady. Check it out.
Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
Oh yeah, watch you eat that, you fucking disturbed aliens.
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
She just kind of turns me out in a sense.
Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
Oh yeah, I just put it in your mouth. You
look at her? Oh yeah, no, nice absolute from another dimension.
Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
To do a John Wayne bobbit and just cut it off.
Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
Unbelievable skank.
Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
Okay, all right, Oh hey.
Speaker 1 (01:20:02):
Luke, do you want to eat the wet wipe? To
fucking Billy go.
Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
Every time we go on the subway, we see homeless
ass crack, we see a lot of crazy. This never
happens to me on the New York City subway. All
the sides he's got.
Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
Look at the bag, I.
Speaker 6 (01:20:27):
Take stamps.
Speaker 1 (01:20:28):
I'll take up can I take?
Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
So we have this debate in my life many times.
In the year two thousand, I worked at an old
folks home in the kitchen and at the end of
the day, after you made all the meals and you
gotta you spray down the floor, all the ship all
the crap ends up in the drain. You know that,
there's like a it drops down a bit, then you
pulled it out and empty the drain. In the midst
of that which is all old food and grossness and ridiculousness,
(01:20:51):
it was a dimebag of purple haze at the bottom
of it. And I picked it out and I was like,
oh my god. And the guy I worked with goes
you smoke that or what I'm like, abs disgust. Went
home to the big orange bong. Julius called my friends.
We came over. I don't think I've ever been higher them.
Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
I don't think we When I played beer pong in college,
I don't think we washed those solo cups. We never
cleaned the floor, so when the ping pong ball was there,
and then we never make.
Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
Out Bundy's grill with the never never clean it with
goddamn degenerates. Yeah, you wouldn't smoke that.
Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
No, God no. Now, one time I had a weed
dealer who would bring to us weed that would come
in like these plastic boxes, and the boxes would have
a like they'd be vacuum sealed with tape on it,
and the table was like not not like Scotch tape,
but like a nice layer of tape. I one time
left one of those in my beer fridge for a year,
and then I found it when I cleaned it out,
(01:21:45):
I did smoke that. I also got high as fuck.
There it worked.
Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
At the end of the story, you got high as fuck.
Let's get a little older abuse mixed in. Check out
this guy at the oil change place. Hell crack. Only
it gets worse for this gentleman.
Speaker 1 (01:22:14):
M fack fick.
Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
We got one more elder abuse for you. You know,
play grounds in the eighties were wild.
Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
They weren't for you to.
Speaker 1 (01:22:26):
Play grounds now.
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
The floor is bouncy, yeahah, yeah, No, that was not
how it was back in the day. Let's check out
this ship. I get that everybody wants to take part,
but you gotta be careful.
Speaker 1 (01:22:38):
They put her on tripical force.
Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
That was that was so for Sunate loosen turn four
like Dale Senior Daytona right.
Speaker 1 (01:22:47):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
Also, we got one.
Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
More for you.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Uh maybe you know, maybe we should send thisst Anthony Smith.
This is how you defend a breaking This is.
Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
How I would defend myself if a bunch of men
broke into my house and wanted to rob me.
Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
Wow, gentlemen, you've been arrange yourselves in such a beautiful circle.
Speaker 5 (01:23:02):

Speaker 1 (01:23:02):
I'm I'm a very commedy eating host. Stay here, stay here.
Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
You may want to.
Speaker 5 (01:23:07):
Rob my crip.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
I'm gonna rob your sock first. Girl.
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
That is the correct response to that.
Speaker 1 (01:23:15):
What the fuck?
Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
That's all the ship we got for you this week.
Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
I didn't like the last one so much, Sorry, Luke.
Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
I tried and tried to produce emotions.
Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
The way to defend, to defend your home is to
gangbang the people home invading.
Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
I mean, I didn't create the clip, you know what
I mean. I just shared it with the world. Unfortunately.
