This movie is not good—but it knows exactly what it is. 🐍 Ridiculous, dumb, and way more entertaining than it should be. The real highlight is the chemistry between Jack Black and Paul Rudd, who carry the movie on pure charisma and goofy energy. If you go in expecting a serious monster movie, you’ll be disappointed. If you want a fun, over-the-top creature feature that embraces the nonsense? You’ll probably have a great time. #A...

The cast is stacked top to bottom, and everyone clearly understands the assignment. No weak links here — every performance adds suspicion or straight-up chaos to the mystery. Daniel Craig continues to be the MVP, fully settled into Blanc’s eccentric brilliance. The mystery itself is twisty, layered, and fun, constantly nudging you to rethink what you think you know. While it doesn’t completely reinvent the franchise, it proves that...

Avatar: Fire and Ash looks absolutely incredible. The visuals are stunning, and in 3D it’s genuinely jaw-dropping. But once the spectacle wears off, the cracks start to show. The movie has no reason to be this long, especially when it’s retreading the same story beats and themes we’ve already seen twice. At this point, it feels like James Cameron is leaning way too hard on visuals to carry the experience. It’s worth watching, e...

My Secret Santa is exactly what you think it is — a super predictable, basic holiday rom-com that you’ll probably forget by New Year’s. BUT… it’s charming enough, light enough, and festive enough to get the job done. 🎁 No big surprises, no deep twists — just cozy vibes, romance clichés, and background-movie energy while you wrap gifts or scroll your phone. Solid? Yes. Memorable? Not really. Fun enough? Sure. #MySecretSanta #Ho...

Just watched Jingle Bell Heist and I was pleasantly surprised. It delivers a surprisingly fun twist on the classic Christmas caper. The leads have great chemistry, the humor hits more than it misses, and the pacing keeps things moving pretty smoothly. If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that's not too sappy, you should check this one out! #JingleBellHeist #MovieReview #HolidayMovies #ChristmasHeist #NewMovies #FilmReview #What...

SISU: Road to Revenge takes the straightforward, no-nonsense storytelling of the first film and supercharges it with bigger set pieces, crazier stunts, and flat-out brutal action. There’s no fluff, no wasted time — just an unstoppable force carving a path through anyone dumb enough to get in his way. Fans of the original will get exactly what they came for: more grit, more carnage, and more savage creativity in every fight. If y...

I challenged myself to watch some holiday rom coms and I Just finished A Merry Little Ex-Mas. If you’re looking for chemistry, drama, or anything resembling real conflict, you won’t find it here. Every romantic pairing feels completely flat, like they’re reading lines to each other for the first time. The jokes? Straight out of the bargain-bin cliché playbook. It's 90 minutes of nothing happening. This is the kind of holiday movie ...

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man delivers a slick cast, a killer setup, and some genuinely intense action, all wrapped in a stylish dystopian package. Glen Powell carries the film with charisma, and the supporting cast brings plenty of energy to the chaos. BUT… the movie runs a little too long, and by the time it reaches the third act, things start to fall apart. Instead of sticking the landing with pure entertainment, it feels like...

Guillermo del Toro finally brings Frankenstein to life — and it’s every bit as haunting, tragic, and visually stunning as you’d expect. The gothic atmosphere, the twisted beauty, and the heartbreaking question of what it means to be human all collide in one unforgettable experience. Is this the ultimate Frankenstein adaptation? 👀 #Frankenstein #GuillermoDelToro #MovieReview #HorrorMovies #DarkCinema #GothicHorror #FilmCritic #Mo...

Predator: Badlands takes the franchise into new territory. You still get sci-fi chaos, and brutal hunts. The action is intense, the visuals are killer, and the new Predator design? It's adds something I didn't even know I wanted in my Predator....some emotional depth. Does this bold new direction live up to the legacy? Short answer yes but check out the link for a detailed reason why 👀🎥 #PredatorBadlands #MovieReview #SciFiActio...

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons absolutely crush it in this slow-burn psychological drama. “Bugonia” thrives on ambiguity — you’re never quite sure what’s real, what’s symbolic, or what’s just unraveling in the characters’ minds. It’s haunting, strange, and deeply mysterious in all the best ways. A film that demands patience but rewards it big time. A slow burn that beautifully pays off. #Bugonia #EmmaStone #JessePlemons #MovieR...

The chilling atmosphere and haunting visuals deliver that classic Blumhouse terror, with the return of The Grabber —literally and figuratively. While it doesn’t completely recapture the mystery of the original, it is very similar to another popular horror classic. It adds a cold, supernatural edge. A mix of psychological horror and ghostly vengeance, The Black Phone 2 is a very capable follow-up to the original. #TheBlackPhone2 ...

The visuals? Stunning. The soundtrack by NIN was great. Some nice action set pieces and new ideas but when it comes to the story. Tron: Ares doesn’t quite reach the next level. It's not horrible or anything.  Just really basic and a little boring. I’m just not sure if this one will click with a new audience or if it’s only here for long-time fans of the franchise. It looks and sounds incredible, but the plot feels stuck in the grid...

Mark Wahlberg once again plays... Mark Wahlberg. Same tough-guy attitude, same expression, same one-liners gun and leather jacket. This movie tries to be gritty but ends up feeling painfully unrealistic, flat, and uninspired. The chemistry between the leads can’t save a plot that feels like it was stolen from every mid-tier heist action flick in the last decade. If you’ve seen one these Wahlberg action comedy movies, you’ve bas...

Paul Thomas Anderson delivers another intense, character-driven story — and it’s powered by incredible performances. 🔥 Sean Penn and Leonardo DiCaprio are absolutely magnetic here, each bringing raw emotion and grit to every scene. It can be triggering and heavy at times. A powerful story elevated by powerhouse performances. #OneBattleAfterAnother #MovieReview #LeonardoDiCaprio #SeanPenn #PTAnderson #FilmTwitter #Cinephile #Drama...

Just finished watching Ice Road: Vengeance and… wow. This might be the most generic Liam Neeson action flick yet. No ice roads, no real connection to the original, and nothing that stands out besides the same recycled “one man vs the bad guys” formula. If you were hoping for a follow-up to The Ice Road, this ain’t it. ❄️🚚➡️🔫 Would’ve been better titled Generic Action Movie #57. #IceRoadVengeance #MovieReview #LiamNeeson #Generi...

    The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
