Grzegorz Wacławek jest producentem i reżyserem filmów animowanych oraz twórcą technologii SMODO. Ukończył animację w łódzkiej PWSFTviT oraz grafikę na warszawskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych.
Debiutował filmem „Poza starością”. Ponadto pracował u boku dwóch oscarowych producentów – Hugh Welchmana oraz Garetha Unwina. Hugh Welchman ukształtował jego drogę jako producenta kreatywnego, przez co w 2013 roku założył swoje studio animacji Animoon.
