Is God a narcissist? Jesus said, "You shall worship the Lord our God, and serve Him only." It is for OUR GOOD that we love Him with all of our heart, with all of our soul, and with all of our might.
In His hour of temptation, Jesus Himself declared to the tempter: "You shall worship the Lord our God, and serve Him only."
Throughout the Word of God, we are taught to humble ourselves before the LORD and to give Him the worship due His Name.
Is God a narcissist? Certainly not!
In this episode, we have convincing proof that worshiping God is a safeguard to keep us from deception, enslavement, harm, and even eternal death.
Beyond the negatives He keeps us from, recognizing God for who He is and what He has done in Jesus opens up a relationship with Him that provides for us in our present and secures a forever home with Him.
What a blessing it is that God jealously desires that our eyes and hearts be on Him, and a true blessing that His great love pursues us.
Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and love Him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength!
