"Mighty Joe Young" (1998) is a remake of the 1949 film that follows the story of Jill Young, who grows up in Africa alongside Joe, a gentle mountain gorilla with extraordinary size and strength. When poachers threaten their sanctuary, Jill agrees to relocate Joe to a wildlife preserve in California with the help of zoologist Gregg O'Hara (Bill Paxton). In their new environment, Joe becomes a star attraction but struggles to adapt to captivity. When the poachers who killed Jill's mother years earlier track them to California, Joe escapes during an attack and faces danger in the unfamiliar city. Will we take it home, leave it at Grandma's house, or hide it in the attic?
