Ever watched a movie you expected to hate but ended up enjoying? That's exactly what happened with Disney's latest live-action remake "Snow White." Going in with rock-bottom expectations after months of PR disasters, we found ourselves genuinely surprised by a film that delivers far more entertainment value than its pre-release controversy suggested.

The unexpected highlight? Gal Gadot absolutely shines as the Evil Queen. After seeing her typecast as heroic Wonder Woman for years, watching her embrace villainy with such delicious enthusiasm is refreshing. Her musical performance impresses (even with probable auto-tuning), and her physical embodiment of the character through facial expressions and movement demonstrates genuine talent. Andrew Burnap as the prince similarly delivers a charismatic performance that leaves you wanting more of his character – ironically contradicting lead actress Rachel Zegler's now-infamous comment that "he could be cut out."

What makes this film fascinating is the disconnect between its actual quality (we both gave it 3.5/5 stars) and its public perception. The visuals are stunning, the supporting cast delivers, and even the controversial dwarf characters quickly become endearing through their whimsical presence. Yet the film's reception has been overshadowed by off-screen drama that threatens to sink what could have been a successful Disney remake. It's a reminder that sometimes the most interesting Hollywood stories happen behind the camera – and a genuinely good film can be torpedoed before audiences ever get a chance to form their own opinions.

Have you seen Snow White yet? We'd love to know if you were also surprised by its quality or if the controversy kept you away. Share your thoughts and subscribe for more honest reviews where we're not afraid to admit when we're wrong!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Snow White is actually good.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Weird.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Weird.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Weird, weird, weird, weird, weird.
Look, if I'm gonna wear af***ing Snow White dress, I
deserve to be paid every cent, not one cent less.
Well, that won't be a problemfor Rachel Ziegler, because

(00:26):
chances are her career iscompletely down the toilet after
this movie comes out.
Despite that, however, snowWhite was good.
Weird, weird, weird.
How many times in this reviewcan we find an opportunity to
say Weird, weird, weird.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Many times.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
We should put like a little countdown in the corner
weird.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yes, gonna weird weird anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
So snow white.
It's not called snow white inthe seven dwarfs, it's just
called snow white it's just likeworried the dwarfs were gonna
steal the spotlight from.
I think so.
Maybe rachel zegler made that acontractual obligation that it
had to be called snow whitebecause she was worried about
the dwarves stealing her thunderor her name being.
Maybe Rachel Zegler made that acontractual obligation that it
had to be called Snow Whitebecause she was worried about
the dwarves stealing her thunder.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Or her name being changed to San Brown.
Oh, Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
She was born in the snow.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
She was born in the snow.
That's why that was white.
That's why she is Snow White, not because her skin is white as
it traditionally was meant tobe Weird Weird Because her skin
is white as it traditionally wasmeant to be Weird Weird.
Before we go any further, let'sreview our initial thoughts
when we were watching thetrailer Snow White, yes or no?
Yes, so I can make fun of it.

(01:36):
Yes, because he's forcing me togo see it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Otherwise f*** no.
We had very low expectationsand, as it turns out, the movie
is better than expected,surprisingly good.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, in a weird way, I'm actually shocked that I
enjoyed this more than Moana 2.
If you had asked me a couplemonths ago, would I enjoy
watching Snow White?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
There's no way I would have said yes and because
of that, I think, michael, thejoke is on us and therefore we
have to pay the price.
You ready?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
all right, I reckon, I reckon, this, this suits the
occasion so we're going to eatcrap for saying that Snow White
was shit Too quick to judge.
We at the team of Movies WorthSeeing apologize.
This wasn't the completedumpster fire that I thought it

(02:38):
was going to be.
It wasn't a 10 out of 10.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Oh, it was certainly not a 10 out of 10.
But you know what makes thewhole thing actually pathetic,
like makes whole thing.
What tragic.
Tragic is that.
The movie wasn't bad and Ithink it would have been a box
office success if it wasn't forrachel zegler.
Not to put 100 of the blame onher, it's the casting behind it

(03:01):
that decided to go intodiversity.
Hire and get her in it.
That is the first problem.
Then hire and get her in it.
That is the first problem.
Then the second problem herpresence is just annoying beyond
anything.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
She's worse than a Karen.
One thing I didn't notice aboutRachel until Addy pointed it
out, and then, once he did, Icould not stop noticing it is
that she always has her mouthopen, she doesn't shut her
f***ing mouth, mouth not likenot talking, just just.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Even when nothing's happening on screen, she's just
I think she shut her mouth twiceand it's like why it's just so
annoying well, I guess that's.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
It's interesting because her mouth always being
open is what got the movie intotrouble in the first place.
Right, weird, weird, weird.
Interestingly though, the othercontroversy that Snow.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
White had was the dwarves.
I've got to say when they gotintroduced I was really
frustrated by it because theanimations behind it was like
really odd.
You kind of get used to it andyou kind of fall in love with
them a little bit.
They are funny.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Wait, wait.
It's a human to it and you kindof fall in love with them a
little bit.
They are funny.
I felt like they came across aswhimsical, fantastical
creatures.
I also liked the design of themand the joyfulness of their
presence, Like when they came onscreen I was singing along to
the music and I was enjoying it.
I felt like the gremlins in thegiant movie theatre in Gremlins

(04:38):
when they watched Snow White.
But getting back to Snow White,I feel bad for the people that
worked behind the scenes on this, Because for them to have

(05:00):
watched what Rachel has done inthe lead up to the release of
this, you must be like slappingyourself, just thinking f***.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
They probably pulled all their hair out dealing with
all of this.
It's a PR disaster.
They probably pulled all theirhair out dealing with all of
this.
It's a PR disaster and it justmakes the whole thing a tragedy
because the movie actually wasfun to watch Everything around
it was really good.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Gal Gadot was actually really good.
It's a welcomed, refreshingthing to see.
After seeing her be WonderWoman and all these, you know,
stereotypical hero roles, it wasactually good to see her let
loose a bit and play with herusual typecasting.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
And the first song she did.
I didn't know she could singand I'm sure they auto-tuned the
f*** out of it, but it soundedreally good.
Her animations were really good.
As the animated character shebecame in a sense, her movements
in her face, the shapes thatshe created it was actually
really good.
I thought, wow, I'm starting tofall in love with this actress

(06:04):
again.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
She is one of those women, though, like forget how
freaking attractive she is untilyou see her again in a movie
and you're like.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
But that's why it's weird that snow white rachel
zagler that they make.
Rachel zagler is not an uglyperson.
If you watch her on some weirdweird thing of like tasting
american versus british foods, they make it look really good
and then in in this movie shelooks terrible.
Do you think it's the hairstyle?
I think the difference betweenthe two one she's just herself

(06:38):
and here in Snow White she'sjust acting and she's like she
moves everything with her lowerjaw and always her mouth is open
and it's just Weird, weird.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I've got to take off this dress, man it's too hot, so
hot.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Clearly, michael's not going to get paid because
he's refusing to wear the dress.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
If I'm going to stand there 18 hours in a dress of an
iconic Disney princess, Ideserve to be paid for every
hour that it is streamed online.
Now I understand what she means.
After wearing a dress, I'm like, yeah girl, oh my God.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
You've got to get paid every dollar.
I need millions of dollars now.
I need millions of dollars.
I just can't get over it if anactor single-handedly not ruined
one but three movies.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I'm gonna play devil's advocate here right of
the other movies.
They were all remakes, sequels, prequels, like west side story
a remake you got the hungergames ballad of sunbirds and
snakes.
I think that, like everyone'spretty sick of prequels, sequels

(07:43):
, remakes but the original, theoriginal trilogy, was amazing.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
I was kind of excited for it until I knew rachel
zagler was in it and I saw thetrailer and I was like oh no,
yeah, oh no and yes, exactlywhat I thought happened.
She just drew up all theattention and then became a
complete selfish actress thateverything she was doing, the
energy, was just going inwardsand wasn't sharing any of love
and care for other people andjust loved and cared for herself

(08:09):
and that was actually.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah, that was a good point, because you said that in
regards to who's the actor thatplayed the the um the prince
yeah, prince the stalker weird,weird.
That dude deserves praise.
Imagine having to deal withrachel on set and having to
pretend you like her and thatyou find her enjoyable to be

(08:33):
around.
Massive kudos to that guy.
He's also really likeable andfun to watch on screen.
Yeah, he was good.
I constantly was thinking tomyself when are we getting back
to that character?
Which is ironic because Rachelin one of the interviews was
saying he could be cut out hecould be cut out.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
We don't really need him because he's got a bit of a
stalker, isn't he weird?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
weird, it's hollywood baby, all of andrew steen's
could get cut.
Who knows, it's hollywood babyoh my god ironically, he's one
of the best parts of this film.
You know it's funny.
Yes, there's lots of momentsbest parts of this film.
You know what's funny?
Yes, there's lots of moments inSnow White that I can't take
seriously because of Shrek.
Like seeing the mirror on thewall.

(09:18):
My immediate thought was thescene from Shrek when the
mirror's like All right, it'stime to set him up.
Let's set up Lord Farquaad withthese three chicks.
Bachelorette number two is acape-wearing girl from the land
of fancy, Although she liveswith seven other men.
She's not easy.
Just kiss her dead frozen lipsand find out what a live wire

(09:38):
she is.
Come on, give it up for Snow.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
White.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
And then I was just thinking to myself f***, I miss
Shrek.
I want to watch Shrek again.
Shrek is love, shrek is life.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Let's go into a little bit more in detail of the
story itself.
Two things that did bother methat I didn't enjoy.
One is again around RachelZegler.
Her accent was just so f***ingweird.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Weird, weird, weird.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
It was very.
It was just her own accent andit was just American.
Everybody else was American aswell, but then her American just
stood out from everybody else's.
Her voice was different, heraccent was different, everything
was different about her and itjust didn't fit within the world
.
Secondly, isn't it a majorstory point that the apple puts
her into a sleep?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
For a prolonged period of time.
Yeah, she wasn't asleep formore than two minutes.
Everybody knows Snow White.
They know the apple.
I reckon they could have takenit a lot further without milking
it.
Maybe they did have it and theyhad to cut it out because
Rachel Zegra was asleep and sheprobably requested more
attention.
She was like I don't haveattention when I'm asleep.

(10:49):
She was like I need to showpeople my voice and my teeth.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
So there's going to be a couple of scenes without me
Like weird, weird.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
You know, now that I'm thinking about it, this
makes sense.
I'm sure there was a lot more,a lot more screen time for
Jonathan Andrew Burnham.
A lot more screen time forJonathan Andrew Burnham, the
prince, because he's not aprince, he's a rebel prince,
bandit, kind of thing.
But, as Rachel said and shewarned us, he could be cut out.
It's Hollywood baby, it'sHollywood baby, weird, weird.

(11:21):
So he could probably cut out alot of his scenes.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Well, I propose we make a petition for the Andrew
cut with all of his scenes in it.
The movie probably goes forfour hours, but f***.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Because all that got cut up because of Rachel.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yay.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Imagine just cut Rachel out completely.
That's my petition.
I want to make a movie, even ifit doesn't make no sense
whatsoever.
Just Snow White without SnowWhite.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
All right, let's get into the final rating.
I'd give Snow White three and ahalf stars out of five.
It's fun, it was entertaining.
The music was great, the look, the style they went for,
everything looked great.
Standout performances were galgadot and andrew burnap and it

(12:16):
was intriguing to see ourexpectations twisted.
It was fun, do?
I think it's going to stand thetest of time and be this
memorable movie that we'llreminisce about for years to
come?

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
No.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
No.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
No, no, no For different reasons.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yes, Not because of the quality of the film From
behind the scenes the politicalNot political.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
The whole film industry.
Yes, not because of the qualityfrom behind the scenes.
The political, not political, the whole film industry.
I believe that this movie canstart a revolution in a way a
revolution because it's a goodmovie, ruined by political and
DEI.
They dug their own grave fullstop.
So what's?

Speaker 2 (12:57):
your final rating.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I would actually end up on a 3.5 as well and I would
single-handedly give the creditto Rachel Zegler to drop that
from a 5 out of 5 to a 3.5.
Single-handedly she took pointsaway from the film.
The animations were fantastic.
The story was actually reallygood.
They lost a little bit of trackwith what they were doing when

(13:20):
it comes to the prince becausethey kind of cut out 90% of his
screen time, probably A fewcheesy moments here and there.
But it is a kid's film and Ihate to say it and that's why
I'm wearing a dress.
I stand corrected, I'm the fool.
Plot twist.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Addy loves wearing dresses and this was all a ploy
for him to make out like he'sbeing forced to wear a dress it
was actually a ploy to get mikeon a dress, but okay anywho.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Uh, weird, weird, weird anyway, if you enjoyed
this video.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
