A former attorney turned financial advisor Marc Burman is on a mission to help individuals, families, and business owners achieve financial independence so they can live the life they’ve always wanted. Marc serves as a Wealth and Estate Planning Advisor at Wealthwise Financial Solutions as well as the Director of MB Succession Planning, where he helps clients preserve their wealth and ensure it stays within the ‘family bloodline’ for future generations. Marc holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Huddersfield, a Level 6 Certified Financial Planner certification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and a Level 4 Certificate in long-term care and later life planning from the London Institute of Banking & Finance.
Marc joins me today to share his passion for helping families and business owners achieve financial independence and freedom. We discuss what inspired him to become a financial advisor and why he decided to pivot his career from law to financial planning. We discuss the time-blocking techniques he uses to manage his time between work and family and how becoming a parent has impacted how he views money and wealth. Marc also shares tips on how parents can save money for their children, tools parents can use to help teach their children to budge, and how he defines the term ‘financial independence.’
“It’s all about layering your income so you can meet your lifestyle costs.”
