Tuesday Night Talks introduces a shift in direction, focusing on putting prayer into action through the five principles of charity that can help us define and achieve our "greater next." We explore how service to others, starting with listening, can unlock our purpose and accelerate our spiritual growth.

• Charity begins with listening - becoming quick to hear and slow to speak
• Acting with courage even when circumstances are difficult
• Collaboration allows different perspectives to strengthen your purpose
• Authenticity means no masks, just truth - being relatable and approachable
• Using your voice to lift others rather than punching down
• Leaning into what scares you most while giving others a leg up

This month, turn it UP! Set clear goals for what you want to achieve in June across every area of your life - faith, finances, health, relationships, and purpose. Come out of isolation, be authentic in your approach, and watch as God brings your greater next into reality.

(04:43):
I'm fully known and loved byyou.
So what do you should what?
Let's brighten it.
I'm fully known and loved byyou.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Amen.
So that song is called Known byTaryn Wells, and I am giving a
quick shout out.
Obviously, I don't own therights to the music, so I just
like to say a quick shout outbecause you know we're playing
these artists records as we'regetting into our version of
worship.
So I'm going to share somethings tonight.

(05:22):
We're starting something just alittle bit different Tuesday
night talks and I think we'regoing to love it.
I think it's good.
We're changing directions just alittle bit and I'm really happy
about what we're going to bedoing, as I was sharing on
Monday, and especially afterprayer on Monday that first of
all, we have to be flexible whenthe Lord is telling us to

(05:45):
change, um and go in a differentdirection.
The second thing is we can'tjust keep chewing.
You know we have to digest.
So we we do a lot of praying, but we also have to put our
prayer into action.
We actually have to um, uh, dothe whole, you know, faith and
works thing.
So that's what we're going todo tonight.

(06:06):
I think this is going to bereally good, also for those who
watch the replay.
I believe I am recording on allthe channels now, so I did fix
that y'all, but I think this isgoing to be good for those who
watch the replay, who don't geta chance to hear or participate
in some of the conversationsthat we have kind of after hours

(06:27):
.
If you will, I think y'all aregoing to, I think y'all are
going to love this.
So, with that said, I'm goingto go ahead and start sharing my
screen, because we do follow aprocess here and I just need let
me just make sure it's theright week, y'all.
I just need someone, if you youcould, to just confirm.
When you see my screen, it saystuesday night talks.

(06:49):
Yes, ma'am did it and we've gotbetter visuals.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Hello, upgrade hello, hello stop fighting.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Hello, confirmation, hello.
We're doing this thing, okay, because we have a lot of wisdom,
you know, between me and myfriends.
And so for those of y'all whoare watching the replay on the
YouTube channel especially, Ithink it's harder because you're
not getting a chance to hear usbehind the scenes after we

(07:22):
complete prayer, when we go intofellowship, and you're missing
out on some of the things.
But there's a lot of wisdom andexpertise and encouragement and
things that go on, and so myintention is to bring some of
that up front to all of us onTuesday nights, at least for the
month of June.
We're going to pilot it and seewhat happens, and for those of
y'all who are watching it,doesn't matter what season of

(07:44):
life you're in, whether you're aman or a woman, you know, none
of that matters.
The intention is us to again, you know, share what we've
learned and keep moving forwardand turn it up in this month of
June.
So we still keep a couple ofthings.
We still keep confession.
You know I have here, I evenchanged the slide and even the

(08:05):
Lord was like okay, time toswitch off and time to move into
Psalm 51.
Psalm 51 for me is I think I'veshared this a lot is when I'm
going into any kind of fastingor y'all, I need to get my mind
right, my heart right.
Psalm 51 is where I go, and soI've pulled out some of the
verses here.
Psalm 51 is where I go, and soI've pulled out some of the

(08:28):
verses here, and so what we'regoing to do is we're going to
speak out, you know, pray, psalm51.
And then also, if you haveanything else that you need to
confess between you and yourLord, this is your chance to do
it.
Heart posture is something thathe gave me.
I don't know how many years nowI've been trying to reinforce
that as much as I can in as manyteachings as I can, but it
really is, at the end of the day, about our heart posture with

(08:49):
our Lord and Savior, jesusChrist.
Y'all.
It's not about me.
I keep reminding people, thisis not my ministry.
I am a caretaker of what he'sgiven me for as long as I'm here
in this assignment, and he'sblessed me and blessed all of us
.
To be honest, all of us havebeen stretched, all of us have
seen a significant increase inour personal life, our spiritual

(09:11):
life, and, though everythingisn't perfect, right, we all
still have the ups, downs andthe arounds y'all.
But one thing we can say is weknow we've seen God's grace,
we've seen his mercy, we'veexperienced joy, all of those
things.
So our heart posture is reallyjust to get us back in that

(09:32):
mindset of, first of all, confessing our sins.
All of us are sinful, we've alldone and thought the things,
we've all said and done thethings, all of us right.
And so we're putting thatbefore the Lord, we're emptying
I call it emptying the cup here, and then we're going to move
into the rest of our teachingfor the night.
So Psalm 51, this is obviouslythe ESV version and it says have

(09:54):
mercy.
Again, you just read this outand as the Lord starts showing
you things that you need toconfess, the words that are in
bold are for me.
The words are in bold are forme.
Where, um, where for me it'smore of an emphasis between me
and the Lord.
It might strike you.
It might strike you, but uh,that that's there for me and
you're obviously welcome topartake.
Have mercy on me.

(10:15):
Oh God, according to yoursteadfast love, according to
your abundant mercy, blot out mytransgressions, wash me
thoroughly from my iniquity andcleanse me from my sin, for I
know my transgressions and mysin is ever before me Against
you.
You only have I sinned and donewhat is evil in your sight so

(10:36):
that you may be justified inyour words and blameless in your
judgment.
Purge me with hyssop and Ishall be clean.
Wash me and I shall be whiterthan snow.
Create in me a clean heart, oGod, and renew a right spirit
within me.
Cast me not away from yourpresence and take not your Holy
Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of yoursalvation and uphold me with a

(11:00):
willing spirit.
But as we release now all ofthese words and these
confessions, we confesseverything that we have said or
done, things that we are awareof you know, even thoughts that
we've had schemes in our hearts, anything that we've plotted,
lord God, anything that wassinful.
We have sinned against youtoday.
We've used words that were nottrue.
We have sinned against youtoday.
We've used words that were nottrue.

(11:20):
We have spoken evil against ourneighbor.
All of us have done somethingto fall short.
But we are so, god, we are soblessed because of your mercy
and your forgiveness as we arecasting out, you know, all of
these things in our hearts andour thoughts and our mind.
Lord, I ask that you create aright heart, a willing heart,
the right spirit within us sothat we can really tap into what

(11:42):
you have to say tonight.
Lord, we don't want to be putto shame before our enemies
because of what we have done orsaid.
So, lord, I ask that you willclean that clock tonight.
Clean it, lord, you know.
Wash everything, everythingthat we've touched and produced
with our hands or our tongue.
Even losing temper with lovedones, family and friends, losing

(12:02):
temper in traffic, beingfrustrated when we're not
getting the answers that we want, and stirring up anger in our
own hearts, lord, God forprocess, for systems and for
people.
Lord, we're casting that allbefore you tonight and asking
you to forgive us.
We thank you for your mercy.
We know, lord, god, that you'regoing to bless us.
We know that you have alreadyheard our cry.
We know that you know what's onour heart.

(12:23):
Lord, we want to have the kindof heart that's just all about
loving you, serving you and yourpeople.
So we thank you as we confesstonight that you've heard and
there is no condemnation inChrist, so that when we turn the
page, lord, god in Christ, sothat when we turn the page, lord
God, that we do so in a waythat is full of freedom.
We are free, you're not beatingus over the head for the

(12:46):
mistakes that we've made today.
I thank you, lord God, forforgiving each and every person
under the sound of my voice.
Lord, we thank you for thisclean heart, lord God, and right
spirit and the right mindset aswe go further into tonight, so
that we can hear clearly fromheaven.
Holy Spirit, we want to hearyou clearly.
We don't want anything to blockour mind.
So if there's anything that'sgoing to impede, anything that's

(13:08):
going to, you know, twist ourthoughts, anything that's going
to create distraction or chaosin any way, we ask that you shut
that down now, because we wantto hear everything that you have
to say, lord Jesus, tonight wewant deliverance, Lord God, in
every area of our life.
As we are turning it up in June, lord God, we are walking fully
in our purpose and we areclaiming every single thing that

(13:28):
you have marked and set apartfor us.
This is winning season for usthis month in June, lord God,
and we're not going to stopbelieving that we don't doubt
you for not even for a moment.
So anything, lord, god, that wehave said or done that could be
used against us by the enemy,we ask that you shut that down
in the name of Jesus Christ now,so we can pursue greatness this

(13:50):
month.
Thank you, lord, amen, amen, amen, oh, my gosh, y'all.
I'm really excited becausetonight you know this week, so
this is week one, right, becausethere's four weeks in June.
We're still talking about movingforward.
We're still talking about whatgreater next means for you, for
me.
So we started this last week.

(14:11):
It was really about you knowwhat does that mean for you?
What does your greater nextlook like?
You have to be able to definewhat that looks like for you,
right?
Again, the Lord can put youknow, the Lord can give you the
desires of your heart, but yougotta understand, or you have to
have some kind of understandingabout what this thing looks

(14:33):
like for you.
So, if you're moving into yourpurpose this month, what does
the next look like for you, right?
The second thing and I've got acouple more slides that we're
going to come into y'all thesecond thing is then we're going
to talk about how do we applythe principles of charity.
Right, and I always say againcharity begins at home.
We know that, but it alsobegins at work in your community

(14:57):
, and we do it with purpose.
Charity really is about servingeach other and the folks around
us, and even how we take careof ourselves.
So we're going to look at whatthe principles of charity look
like, just pulling some thingsfrom and I shared this earlier
on Facebook and probablyLinkedIn as well I had the
opportunity to attend somethingvirtually.

(15:21):
That was really impactful and Ithought it would be really cool
to kick off this first week inJune with that mindset.
The last point is you got to setyour goals for the month.
You got to have an idea of whatyou're trying to achieve this
month.
We're not doing anythingblindly.
We're going to talk aboutturning it up all we can, all we
want to, but you got to havegoals in mind and you got to
write those goals down someplaceso that you can hold yourself

(15:45):
accountable.
If you have an accountabilitypartner, then you take these
goals to your accountabilitypartner and say listen, I'm
trying to work on these thingsthis month.
I'm trying to turn it up inevery area in my life.
This month, my faith is turnedup, my practices are turned up,
my worship is turned up, myhealth is turned up, my finance
is turned up.
Well, I'm on fire this month.

(16:05):
Okay.
Greater next means a lot for meand my family.
It means that we're coming outof debt.
I'm going to find that job.
I'm going to pick up thatproject.
I'm going to give 100% on thejob.
It means I'm going to take careof my house.
I mean all of those things.
My greater next means I'm goingto actually take care of myself
.
This month, I'm going toexperience full joy, whatever

(16:27):
that looks like.
So set your goals for this month, whatever it is.
Maybe you got to walk more, yougot to drink more water.
Maybe you got to serve more atchurch.
Maybe you got to come on socialmedia for a minute.
Right, some of us need to, youknow.
Take a pass on social mediajust for a minute, me included,
right?
So what are the goals that youhave for this particular month

(16:48):
and and how that takes you toyour next?
So that's where we're going tostart for tonight.
Again, this is if you're comingin late, this is tuesday night
talks.
We're shifting and doing thingsa little bit differently and I
think, like I said, this isgoing to bless you.
All of this, obviously, whatI'm sharing with you tonight.
You'll be able to slow down andwatch the replay, because it's
going to feel like I'm goingfast, because I have a lot of

(17:10):
information I want to share withyou and I don't have a lot of
time.
Okay, it's still Tuesday nightand we're going to go to sleep
soon, but you can always go backto the Mrs Pie YouTube channel
and just slow this thing down sothat you don't miss anything
that I'm sharing with you.
So I want to tell you about thisevent Again.

(17:31):
It was sponsored by my day job.
Y'all know I'm a corporategirly and I work with some of
them.
I can't see who's in the chat, but at least for Makisha and I,
we work together.
I don't know who else is here, but this event happened.
It was pretty much an all-dayvirtual event called SDG and
Inspiration Day and typicallywhat it is.

(17:52):
It's a global event.
They have some huge people thatyou know really big deal folks
who come on and they havedifferent components and they
talk about the things that areapplicable to their areas.
So so, by the way, turn it upJune is this is my phrase here.
It's not Sir Lenny saying this, but there was this speaker.

(18:13):
His name was Sir Lenny Henryand in his area, he wanted to
talk about the five principlesof charity, and so I want to
share these principles, and thenI'm also going to share some
prayer points, some scriptures,to support some of these, and
then we're going to pray aboutthis and then we're going to
shut it down.
Okay, so the first thing hestarted with was that charity

(18:33):
begins with listening and itactually begins at home.
And what I found to be reallycool about this, there's some
context, because I'm big onpeople give people credit.
If I come for you, it's likethat's for that Give people
credit for the work that they do.
Sir Lenny Henry you can Googlehim.
He's a renowned comedian.

(18:54):
He's raised a lot of money fordifferent charity events and
things like that.
He was knighted in 2015.
So that is a real title, sirLenny Henry.
His mother is from Jamaica, soI feel like he's my family
member, but he's actually bornin the UK and all that thing.
But the five principles that heshared, he started out with one,

(19:18):
and so the terminology thatyou're going to see not bolded.
This is my addition to what hewas saying and some of the
things that I picked up fromwhat he shared.
So the first thing is listening.
The first principle islistening.
So, again, if you're using thelens of charity whether you're
at home, again charity beginningat home, or or you charity on

(19:39):
the job, and how you're showingup and how you're serving,
serving people around you andpart of where he was tying these
principles to it's anchored tothe amount of success.
How was he, how was the kind of?
The question is, you know, howdid he become so successful?
And he was sharing.
These are the principles thathe's used for his entire career.
So the first one is listening, and he started out talking about

(20:05):
why that was so important, andI think this is something we can
all agree on.
But a lot of times we don't doit.
We don't do it because we don'twant to hear what people's got
to say.
We're really quick to tellpeople why we don't want to hear
what you got to say.
If people don't to tell people, you know, you know, you know
why we don't want to hear whatyou got to say.
If people don't echo, if it'snot an echo chamber, you know we

(20:25):
kind of turn off.
We don't want to hear what theygot to say, but there's some.
There is something that that isso important to for us, in order
for us to grow and turn it upthis month is we have to be
willing to listen.
So in this case, we're talkingabout listening to God,
listening to others when theLord, especially when the Lord,
puts people in your, in yourpath, um, folks who are more

(20:47):
experienced or more you know.
There are so many more like, um, accomplished and mature women
and men in my life and I, Ilistened to them.
It doesn't mean, like you know, sometimes the correction is
painful, but we have to bewilling to listen.
So, listening to God, listeningto others, to what's needed for

(21:08):
the moment, don't just createsomething because you feel the
itch.
You have to make sure it has toactually be a need.
You're feeling a need, solisten.
Let God show you.
You know here, here's where.
Here's where I want you tofocus right.
Listen to what God says aboutthe season that you're in or the
people that you're hanging outwith.

(21:28):
Listen to what God's sayingabout the job he gave you.
Right.
Your job is is an assignment, right.
Everybody doesn't have a pulpit.
Everybody isn't supposed tohave a pulpit or a platform,
okay.
So listen to what God saysabout where he's placed you and
what he needs you to do there, right?
And so as you start listeningmore, you know you start saying

(21:50):
Lord, show me what you want.
I want to hear from you anddon't doubt that he's that God's
not speaking to you.
God is always speaking.
I think a lot of times we don'twant to hear because he's not
saying what we want him to say.
I want him to tell me how he'sgoing to give me, give me a new
car, and he's telling me that Ineed to tithe more.
I don't want to hear that,right?
So we have to put in the firstprinciple in practice, which is

(22:14):
we have to listen.
We have to listen to God aboutwhat's actually needed in kind
of things that we're hoping toachieve, right?
The second thing is acting withcourage, even when it's hard.
And acting with courage it'seasier when you're in kind of
again back to the echo chamberwhere everybody is saying what

(22:35):
you agree with.
It's really easy to act withcourage when you don't have your
skin in the game.
You really have nothing to lose, nothing to risk, and you're
just kind of going along to getalong.
You can act with courage allday long when it's easy, but
really it comes into play whenthings are really hard.
So, acting with courage whenyou're in a position that you

(22:56):
have to make tougher decisionsfor your finances for the rest
of this month, right.
Or speaking up when you seethings are going down that are
wrong, right.
If you see a coworker that youdon't like and they're being
mistreated, you're not in thecorner heckling saying that's
what she deserves right.
But having the courage to standup and speak up when things are

(23:18):
wrong and you know they'rewrong, this is something that
we're expected to do.
Right, we are the lightremember that from scripture.
So acting with courage, evenwhen things are hard right now
in the season.
The third point is collaboration, and we do have to do things
together.
We're better together.
You know how we say all thethings.
We're better together.

(23:38):
You know how we say all thethings.
We're better together, we'restronger together, all of those
things.
I can tell you that one of thethings that makes, in my eyes,
this ministry successful isbecause I am collaborating with
strong women and we'repartnering in doing things
together.
It's not the Shelly show, so Idon't ever have to worry about

(24:01):
whether I'm burning out or not, because I have women that are in
position, right, and it's apartnership right.
So you have to be willing tocollaborate and work alongside
other people.
What also happens is if theproject or the goal you had this
month again remember, we'returning it up Maybe if one of

(24:23):
your goals was to start writingthe book, or you were going to
start the nonprofit, or maybeyour collaboration was you just
going to I don't know dosomething that you want to do,
take some courses or whatever.
It's something that requires acommunity of support.
Well, collaboration could bejust as simple, as you know.

(24:43):
Let me, let me tap a couple ofwomen and you know, see if I can
get their feedback on thisproject plan that I'm working on
, let me see what that lookslike, and then them giving you
the input helps you to build abetter program, build a stronger
project.
Right, working with other women, working with other men, right,
collaborating and sharing ideastogether.

(25:06):
If you're doing things byyourself and you're in your own
bubble, like I, have a horriblehabit that you know I tend to
disappear, me and Jesus, I tendto go into like a hole and I
just don't wanna be aroundpeople, and it's not a good
thing to do.
What ends up happening is Istart to only into like a hole
and I just don't want to bearound people, and it's not a
good thing to do.
What ends up happening is Istart to only hear my own voice.
Because the Lord had disciplesfor a reason, right, it wasn't

(25:28):
just Jesus doing all the work.
And so you have to come out ofthat bubble or you'll start
telling yourself things that theLord isn't telling you at all.
So collaboration allows you toget different perspectives on
your journey.
Where you're going, maybetaking a different direction.
It's not meant to just you know, it's not meant to throw you

(25:48):
off course.
It's not that people are tryingto steal your thunder and all
that you know.
The worst scenario for me iswhen somebody is refusing.
They have a lot to say but theydon't listen right.
Someone who is uncoachable, whoknows everything, done
everything, been everywherethose type of folks you can't
collaborate with.
So I'm encouraging you thismonth to stretch your muscles a

(26:11):
little bit, to collaborate, build community and find out
who's doing.
Before you build a nonprofit,go find out which nonprofits are
already existing doing thethings that you wanna do and see
if you can serve before youbuild right.
That way, you truly understandand you're listening to God when
he's telling you this is what Ineed, right?

(26:32):
So, collaboration, y'all comingout of our bubble and talking
to people with differentbackgrounds and different all
those things right,collaborating stronger together.
Now, the fourth point he sharedwas being authentic, and he
talked about, you know, no masks, just truth.
Because being authentic, Ithink a lot of times, folks you

(26:55):
know we talk about, especiallyif you're in the corporate girly
or you know, quite frankly, work anywhere, and we talk about
being authentic.
This kind of this, thisterminology really, really had
some legs to it, starting around20, late 2020, early 2021, when
we were talking about, you know, the need to be authentic on

(27:17):
our jobs and need to beauthentic etc.
And there was also aconversation about whether or
not you could really truly beauthentic or not when you're on
the job and that, quite frankly,a lot of us end up doing code
switching.
Well, code switching isexhausting, so I prefer to just
be my whole self and you take meas you take me or you don't,

(27:37):
and then that way, I'm actuallybeing my authentic self.
So one of the things that he wassharing, that sir lenny was
talking about, was when youthink about charity and the way
that we serve the people aroundus, that they want real people.
So if you're building a um say, you're building a project or
you're, you know, going out as aspeaker or you as a speaker, or

(27:58):
you're doing any of thosethings, people want you to show
up in an authentic way, meaningI don't want to, I don't want.
I think Dr Tracy is on here.
When Dr Tracy goes to speaksomewhere, she's showing up as
herself.
Wherever she goes, she's notputting on different hats and
wearing different masks.
She is Dr Tracy.
Why does that matter?
It matters because it helps tobuild her credibility in front

(28:21):
of the audiences that she goesto speak to.
If you're trying to launch abusiness or if you're trying to
launch, you know, even a socialmedia career, you want to be an
influencer, you want to do allthe things.
You have to be relatable andyou have to be authentic.
People need to know who you areand who they're dealing with,
and especially as Christians andwomen believers.

(28:42):
Right, we need to be real, weneed to be authentic, we need to
be the real deal.
You can't be one person onlineand then you come offline and
you're somebody totallydifferent.
You can't be one person onSunday and by the time you come
to your parking lot, you're ahot mess, you're rude and nobody
wants to talk to you, right?
So you know having no mask andjust being truthful, and if this

(29:05):
is an area where you need theLord to help you, lord, you know
, we started off with Psalm 51,right, creating me a clean heart
.
So maybe you need to go backand say, lord, this is something
that I'm battling because I'vebeen hurt and disappointed by
people when I was myself, and Idon't want to be hurt and
disappointed anymore, but showme what I need to do and renew

(29:25):
the right spirit within me sothat I can be real and relatable
to wherever you send me.
Wherever you send me, lord, Iwant to show up as a real person
.
So the last point is somethingthat I've always practiced and I
was really excited when he madethis point, and it's basically
punching up, not down, andessentially it's.

(29:45):
I want to say this for, especially for those of you
maybe you are in leadershiproles, or maybe you're someone
of influence or you have poweron your job.
But I also want to say this formoms, and especially moms of
teens and moms of adult children, that we have to do a better
job of not punching down on ourkids.

(30:08):
Don't punch down.
Punch up meaning you'refighting.
So, for example, I'm notfighting my kid, I'm fighting a
process or a problem that was.
You know, that's bigger thanher.
I'm not yelling at her, tellingher she's not going to make it.
I'm going to go figure out whyshe's not going to make it and
then work on that.
I'm not speaking to my team.

(30:28):
You know, in a way, that'sgoing to strip their you know,
just kind of strip their souls.
I'm not using my voice and myplatform to condemn other people
, right, that's.
That's so huge.
We have a thing, you know, athing has been on social media
now for the past few years, where there are influencers make

(30:49):
a lot of money and all they dois they, they, they kind of tear
down other pastors and that'skind of their thing.
Or you come on and you seepeople giving all their
full-throated feedback on whatsomeone should be wearing at
church and who said what.
It's like a gossip, like uglygossip pool.
So you're not using your voiceto lift others.

(31:09):
You're using your voice tocondemn others.
And guess what seed you'replanting?
Because if you're planting thatseed to condemn somebody else,
you better believe you're goingto reap that and that's going to
be a part of your harvest, right?
So, using your voice to liftothers, it's very simple, y'all
in the way that we speak to eachother, the way that we
encourage each other, the waythat you know, the way we lift

(31:32):
each other not just our, notjust each other, but our spouses
the way we lift each other notjust each other, but our spouses
, our friends.
If you don't know what to say,say nothing at all, but use your
voice to lift other people.
Never, ever, ever, punch down.
Okay, this last point where itsays lean into what scares you
most.
It gives you a leg up tosomeone who needs.
It was kind of the way that SirLenny Henry closed his talk,

(31:56):
and I love this.
Now a lot of us.
It is scary when you try toself-assess what scares you the
most and then when he says like, lean into what scares you the
most and then give a comma andthen give a leg up to someone
who needs it.
This is two part.
The first thing is when you talkabout leaning into what scares

(32:18):
you the most, that requires asignificant level of trust in
God.
If I trust God, then I can leaninto whatever scares me the
most.
So, for example, if part ofyour assignment or part of your
turning it up in June is you aresupposed to go and complete
some applications because it'stime for you to look for a new

(32:39):
job, you've been in that thingfor 30 years and you know it's
not going anywhere and you aremiserable and what scares you
the most is that you have to goand do the things and do the
application.
Now you put yourself out andall the things.
But if you trust God and youdon't doubt what he's showing
you, then you lean into that.
And you're leaning into notyour own understanding.
You're leaning into what theLord says about where you're

(33:02):
going.
Which is why I asked you whenwe started what is your greater
next?
What does your next look like?
If your next looks likeretirement, then what scares you
the most is getting ready foryour retirement.
So what are you doing in thismonth of June to get yourself
ready for your retirement, evenif retirement is coming for you
at the end of this year or nextyear.
You need to lean into whateveris scaring you about getting

(33:24):
yourself prepared and startgetting this thing done.
The second part, where it talksabout giving a leg up to someone
who needs it.
The Lord will show you thepeople that you are meant to
serve.
You're not meant to serveeveryone and I only serve out of
overflow.
So, for example, I can't serveyour family if my family's broke
.
I have to be an overflow so Ican serve other people.

(33:48):
So the work that we do whenwe're turning up this month of
June that's why my prayers Ialways ask the Lord give me
overflow.
I wanna have so much overflowso I can bless the people around
me, the folks that he has sentme to bless.
So give a leg up to someone whoneeds it.
But ask God to give youoverflow so that you can do that
right, so that you're notdepleting.

(34:10):
You can't pour from an emptycup All the things we say, right
, you can't do those things.
Give a leg up to someone whoactually needs it, all right.
So I know I'm talking a lot.
Like I said, tonight was goingto be a little bit different.
I've got some scriptures now totie it back, right, because
we're a prayer community.
Tie it back to the principlesthat I shared on the other

(34:31):
screen, because I want to showyou where you can back this up
in prayer.
And then we're going to pauseand we're going to, we're going
to pray on these, and then we'regoing to, we're going to close
this out, and then I'm going toask you to pray for yourself,
right?
If you, if the Lord putssomeone on your heart for you to
pray for them as well, you'regoing to pray for them.
All, right.
So, starting with listen, james1, 119 says know this, my

(34:55):
beloved brothers, let everyperson be quick to hear, slow to
speak and slow to anger.
So what are we supposed to do?
First, quick to hear.
So my mom used to say this allthe time when we were growing up
you've got two ears and onemouth, and what are you supposed
to use the most?
We talk too much, y'all.
We talk so much, y'all.
We talk so much, especially onsocial media.

(35:16):
We, we have everything.
We have a reaction foreverything, we have a post for
everything, me included.
I am not, you know, I'mincluding myself in this.
Uh, we are very quick to speak, but we're very slow to listen
and you will learn more when youlisten than when you speak.
So so the first prayer point is, lord, you know I want to be

(35:38):
quicker to hear and slower tospeak.
I only want to respond, lord, when you tell me to respond, and
even sometimes when you havethis itching and urge that you
got to say something.
The Lord isn't telling you tosay something, it's your spirit,
it's you doing it because wehave such an urge to speak.
We got to be heard.
People got to hear what theLord told me.
Nope, he didn't tell you thatfor you to, for you to echo it

(36:01):
to anyone else.
He's correcting you, but you'recorrecting somebody else, right
?
So the first.
That's why it's so importantListen first.
The second point, about actingwith courage.
It says from Joshua 1, 9, haveI not commanded you Be strong
and courageous, do not befrightened and do not be
dismayed, for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go.

(36:22):
What do we have to be afraid ofy'all?
We're acting with couragebecause, as the Lord says, he is
with me wherever I go.
So I don't have to be afraid ofthis season.
I'm not afraid of decisions Igot to make.
I'm not afraid of the people Igotta talk to.
I have no fear about anything.
Okay, I don't have to befrightened of the unknown.
I don't have to be dismayedabout what's gonna happen on the

(36:44):
job, what's gonna happen withmy finance, what's gonna happen
with my bill, what's gonnahappen with my health, my
husband's health.
I don't have to be dismayed oranything, because the word says
be strong and courageous.
So the prayer point there is ohLord.
Sometimes my prayer is Lord, give me your strength, because I
can't do it, I ain't got itright.
So be strong and courageous.

(37:05):
Collaborate part three, ornumber three, where it says two
are better than one because theyhave a good reward for their
toil.
Here you got to be carefulabout who you're partnering with
.
Right, I don't go everywhere.
I don't do everything witheveryone.
If the Lord hasn't shown methat I should partner with

(37:25):
somebody, it ain't going tohappen.
I'll be your biggestcheerleader, but I will not be
partnering.
You have to be mindful aboutwho you align yourself to.
Every assignment isn't yours.
Some people you've got to watchthem.
You know from the sideline andbless their assignment and pray
for them.
But it's not your business,it's not your assignment.
So when the Lord sends youwhoever you're to partner with,

(37:49):
right, two are better than one.
Right, if you're in somethingand you're the one driving it
all by yourself, then you'remissing the collaboration.
Right, it's not a one-man band.
Like I said, it was Jesus andthe disciples.
It wasn't a one-man band.
So you want to ask the Lordshow me who's my other, show me
who I should work with.

(38:10):
Thank you, lord, that there's agood reward for our work
together.
A good reward right,collaboration.
And here we come to authentic.
In the same way, let your lightshine before others so that
they may see your good works andgive glory to your father who's
in heaven.
You know what it doesn't say.
It doesn't say let your lightshine and then you go brag about

(38:31):
it.
Right, it's other people seeingyour good works and give glory
to your father who's in heaven.
Right, it's other people seeingyour good works and give glory
to your father who's in heaven.
Right, so, being authenticy'all, being just real,
relatable people.
Again, we go to church, we serve, we do all the things, we have
the titles, we have the degrees,we have all of those things,

(38:52):
right, but you've got to be realpeople.
So that, why so thatunbelievers, when they see us,
they're seeing the good works, they're seeing God's grace and
mercy in our lives, they'reseeing that we are real.
We can't just spout scriptureover everything.
You know, when I'm on the job,I realize I'm in an assignment,
but I can't sit in a boardroomand scream out scripture.

(39:14):
I can't.
But they know me by my worksbecause they see the father
working through me, so they knowwho, whose I am.
So that is, that is the Lord, that is the Holy spirit using me
as his vessel, letting hislight shine before others, right
?
Not me, right?
So you gotta be relatable.
You gotta be relatable to yourspouses.

(39:35):
Some of us are so, again, theHoly Spirit was like tell me
this joke a while back, thatsome of y'all are holier than
the Holy Spirit.
But you've got to be relatableso that people can approach you
and ask you questions about yourfaith.
And how are you smiling in themiddle of the storm?
We're not even giving people achance to approach us because
we're so wound up, tight.

(39:57):
We're so prophetic, right we're.
You know, we're all the thingsthat we can't even relate to
people.
And people need to be able torelate to us.
Why?
So that they may see your goodworks.
Right, they got to get up close.
They got to see our works.
They got so that what?
So?
God gets the glory our fatherin heaven.
So be real and be authentic.

(40:18):
Now the last one is againpunching down.
Punching up and not down, whichreally just means how we lift
others.
It says in Proverbs 31, eight tonine, open your mouth for the
mute, for the rights of all whoare destitute, all A-L-L.
Everybody.
Open your mouth, judgerighteously, defend the rights

(40:41):
of the poor and the needy.
And we have got to come back,y'all, as believers of Jesus,
following his teachings.
Right that we are to defend therights of the poor and needy.
Now, defending the rightsdepends on your assignment.
Some folks have the assignment.
For example, if you're a lawyer, you're defending the rights of
the poor and needy.
Now, defending the rightsdepends on your assignment.
Some folks have the assignment.
For example, if you're a lawyer, you're defending the rights of
the poor and needy in adifferent way than if you're not

(41:03):
right.
You're defending the rights ofthe poor and needy if you have a
platform, if you have anability to raise money to help
kids who are broke right, if youhave the opportunity to
contribute, to do philanthropicworks.
Right To defend the rights ofthe poor and needy, to stand up,
to use your voting power.

(41:24):
That's defending the rights,right?
That's you doing it, openingyour mouth and judging
righteously.
Some of y'all are sitting inchurches with billion-dollar
pastors and you say absolutelynothing when you know that
people are poor, desperate andneedy, people are losing their
jobs, kids being kicked out ofprograms.
And you're going to show up onSunday, you're going to enjoy

(41:47):
the worship team and you're notgoing to challenge your pastor
to do nothing to help yourcommunity.
You're supposed to be defendingthe rights of the poor and
needy.
What are you doing about thatright?
So, again, lifting others?
Open your mouth for those whocan't speak for themselves
little children, you know, um,widows, right?
Um, you know, just just lookingfor ways again to tie all these

(42:11):
principles back to how we pray, how we take this before the
lord.
So I've said a lot.
I'm going to pause now and thenwe're going to go into prayer
and whatever again the Lord hasput on your heart concerning.
Maybe he's speaking to youabout one principle, maybe he's
speaking to you about everysingle one and that's what
you're going to pray for tonight.
I've provided scriptures If youneed to, you know, if you need

(42:34):
an encouragement, if you need totie it back to the Lord somehow
, but let's just pause now andy'all open your mouth.
If you pray in the spirit, goahead and do that.
If you don't, it's okay.
No one is judging.
I'm not listening, I'm notwatching and we're just going to
pray.
I'm not going to make this aShelly pray for you tonight.
I'm going to pray for myself, because I intend to turn up like

(42:54):
crazy in this month of June.
So pray for yourselves, yourfamily and anyone that you are
connected to.
Amen.
Father, I thank you for thisnight.
I thank you for your teaching.
I thank you for what your wordshas concerning each of these
principles.
I also thank you, lord, fortiming and confirmation, not
just through Sir Lenny, butthrough Dr Tracy, today, as you

(43:14):
know what has happened, lord God, as you have lit this fire
again, lord God, as you haveshifted and shapeshifted, lord
God.
So I thank you first of all forall these.
Thank you for giving us accessto good, solid teaching and
encouraging us and holding usaccountable, lord God.
Thank you, father, for speakingto us in each of our hearts
tonight, every one of us, lordGod, who are in a new season or

(43:37):
we're hoping for a new season,Lord, we know we carry the
worries of the day, all of thethings that you know, all the
things that can impede ourvictory.
Lord God, whether it's healthor finance, whether it's our own
illness or spouse's illness,whether we're concerned and
worried about our children, whether they're young or they're

(43:57):
adults, you know everythingthat's standing in front of us.
But tonight, lord, tonight,we're going to ask for God that
even those things are going tobe you're going to hand them on
in your own time.
We already know that you'regoing to provide for us.
We already know that you'regoing to give us victory and
grace and mercy over all things.
We already know that you'regoing to come through because
we've we've experienced it.

(44:18):
We've experienced your grace somuch, lord God, that we know
that you love your children andyou're going to provide for each
of us.
Tonight, I'm asking that youwill unlock in every single
person who is watching this, whether they're here tonight or
they're here tomorrow or yearsfrom now, that you will unlock
these principles according toyour word and your will for
their lives.
That you, first of all.

(44:38):
Lord, god, help us to listenmore.
We want to hear your voiceclearly.
So this, anything, any othervoice that's interrupting when
you're speaking to us, we wantthat removed.
Speak to us in our dreams, speak to us through scripture,
speak to us through confirmation.
We want to hear and we intendto listen to you, lord, before
we make any decision on anything.
And, lord, god, I ask thatyou'll continue to speak to us

(45:00):
and remind us, lord, those whohave been missing what you have
been saying.
We've been listening to our ownspirits, lord, god, and not
aligning it back to you.
So we want to hear from you, lord.
So we are in agreement thatwe're going to listen more than
we speak.
Lord, god, in this month ofJune, father, I thank you that
we're going to act with couragethis month, that we're going to
be strong and courageous for God, that, no matter what the enemy

(45:22):
might put before us, we knowthat there is victory any old
way.
So we thank you, lord, thatyou're with us wherever we go,
in, every single conversationand project, anything that we
attempt, everything that ourhands touch, we're going to be
productive and successful thismonth.
So we're going to act withcourage even when we go out to,
you know, even in themarketplace or God, but those

(45:44):
who are even afraid to drive.
We don't know what's going onwith all of these crazy people
on the road, lord God, andpeople taking out their anger
and fear on each other.
We're going to act with courage, lord, you're going to be with
us.
I thank you that you havealready assigned your heavenly
angels to be with us, so we'rewalking in divine protection and
we have that.
Not only do we have it, but ourchildren and anyone in our

(46:07):
household.
We're praying for ourhouseholds tonight, our
communities and every place thatyou send us, lord God, we're
going to be courageous.
Lord, thank you for remindingus that two are better than one
and that we have a good rewardfor our toil.
I thank you first of all, lordGod, for the women that you've
placed in my path.
Lord God, I thank you forblessing me with the three
praying sisters.

(46:27):
I thank you for Mekisha, lordGod.
I thank you for this kind ofleadership, lord, that keeps
this community together, thatkeeps this ministry going, and
as we keep growing, lord God, aswe keep moving, that you keep
teaching us and blessing us.
Father, I pray that, as theyare becoming stronger and
stronger leaders in their ownright that they will now go out

(46:48):
and create the next generationof leaders behind them.
That, lord God, we won't justkeep eating from this table, but
we'll also create tables forothers behind us.
So I thank you, lord God, forthose you've sent, that we work
together.
Thank you, lord God, thatyou'll open doors on our jobs in
our communities, in our churchand wherever we need a group,

(47:09):
lord God, to collaborate.
Also, lord God, not for us tojust keep taking, I ask, lord
God, that we'll also plant theseeds as collaborators that will
bring and give our wisdom andour understanding to help other
people as you deem it, as yousee fit.
Lord, being authentic and beingreal is so needed today,

(47:29):
because there's so many peoplewho are just living a whole life
on social media that is not thesame in real life.
So many people are God.
So, lord, I ask tonight thatyou'll even bring us back home.
We just want to be relatableand approachable Christians.
We want to be the kind ofpeople that unbelievers will see
us yes, they will see our light, but we'll be approachable

(47:52):
enough that they'll want to havea conversation with us, lord
God, that they want to ask usthe question why are you so
happy all the time?
You know, what is it?
What's different about you?
We've been so self-righteous,lord God, and so judgmental and
so just flat out nasty to eachother that we have just we have
just ceded that ground, lord God, that we, some of us have just

(48:14):
decided that we are just too big.
And you know we are better thanall.
But, lord, I'm asking for youto just remind us that we are
all of all your children.
And though some of us have beenmarked, though some of us have
titles, though some of us haveplatforms, lord God, it doesn't
matter.
In your sight, you're seeingeach and every one of us.
You're seeing our heart posture.

(48:35):
You're seeing how we truly loveand serve you.
So we want to be real andrelatable and authentic.
And if this is something thatwe have struggled, lord, if
there's any person who'sstruggling with this tonight,
lord God, because they have beenhurt by other people when they
let their guard down, lord God,that I ask that, first of all,
you will heal their brokenhearts and their broken spirits.
But I pray that that won'tbecome a generational curse or

(48:58):
they use that as a reason not tobe kind to other people, to
just come offline with thenastiness or god and just be
real and relatable people.
Look, that's what we want, lordgod.
So I'm asking, lord god, thatyou'll just, first of all, heal.
Heal the hearts that need to behealed and call out all of us
for god.
Remind us that we need to bereal and relatable people so

(49:20):
that unbelievers and believerscan find the light.
Amen, he said.
Stop making it so hard.
Thank you, lord, that we'regoing to use our mouth to lift
others.
We're going to speak up forthose who need their rights
defended, both poor and needy.
Some of us, lord God,contribute in ways you know

(49:41):
bigger than others, lord God.
Some of us are touching, lordGod, financially.
Some of us are touching throughteaching and legislation.
All of us, lord God, have beenput here to serve the poor and
needy and you didn't say thepoor and needy.
All look like us, so even thatis a correction in itself.
Father, I pray, lord God, forevery person in our family who's
going through a season wherethey have significant loss in

(50:05):
finances, they don't have jobsand they are struggling right
now that in our own homes wehave poor and needy.
I pray, lord God, that you'llhelp us.
Lord God, to provide for them.
Lord, I know that this is ourplane, so you will use men to do
men things.
So I ask for God that you'llequip us so that we can help

(50:26):
each other.
Lord God, I pray this is aseason where we're not afraid to
give.
You know, if we can't give ourfinance, we can give our talent
and our time.
Maybe this is a season that wejust give an encouraging word.
It doesn't always have to be aprayer meeting.
It doesn't have to be that weneed to go where the need is.
So, father, we want to hearfrom you.
You show us where the need is,because we are ready to go and

(50:48):
serve your people, the poor andneedy.
I pray for every family, underthe sound of my voice, who's
standing in need of anything.
That you will open heaven out.
I know, lord God, as we plantthe seed of giving, that you
will also give to us.
So I thank you, lord God, forall that you will do for us.
As I've covered all of theseprinciples, lord God, that you
will release these words.

(51:08):
These are your words, lord God,that you will make this come to
pass in our life, that you willbless us into overflow so that
we can then take care of eachand every one around us.
Turn it up.
This month of June.
We want to see incredible, amazing things.
I pray that there's a seedplanted now in the heart of
every person, under the sound ofmy voice, something they will
never forget, lord God,something they will take with

(51:29):
them for the rest of this year.
That tonight is a night that weturn that flame on, lord God,
that we turn things up, that wehave turned the page.
It doesn't matter what didn'twork out in the month of May or
the month of January, that weare turning the page.
And I thank you, god, that youare with us tonight, that you're
blessing us and that you willnot let us be put to shame

(51:50):
because we are your children.
So we thank you for your glory,we thank you for the glory that
covers us, we thank you foryour faith and your favor.
You honor us as your children.
Thank you, lord God, thateverything that I have said is
according to your word andtherefore it will come to pass.
Thank you for blessing mytongue, lord God.
I thank you for blessing mytongue so that every blessing
that has been released came fromheaven itself, so it will come

(52:13):
to pass For those who receive it.
Lord God, I thank you for thisanointing on my life that you'll
continue to help me to grow, lord God, and steer and lead in
the way that you divine it, theway that you declare it.
Lord God, thank you forenergizing us tonight, lord God,
and filling us with joy, evenwhile we are suffering.
Still, I thank you, lord God.
I thank you for Tuesday nighttalks that we are moving in a

(52:36):
different direction, lord God,that we are stretching us, and
for every person who comes tohear even a small clip, that
they will be encouraged andthey'll want to know the Jesus
that we serve, that you're stilla loving and true Father.
Thank you, holy Father, for allof these things.
In Jesus' name, amen, amen, allright, so now we go into

(52:56):
declaration and thanksgiving andwe close it out.
Y'all, I hope you've beenenjoying it so much so far
tonight, just sharing some ofthe teaching and all of the
things that I've been learning.
Like I said, I'm already onfire.
I'm really excited about themonth of June and even as we
release our declaration tonight,I know we say it twice a week,
every week, but I really praythat you're absorbing it and

(53:19):
that you're walking in thisthing.
This isn't affirmation, this isdeclaration.
This is what the Lord saysabout you and says about me.
So when we say these words, weare in agreement with what
heaven says and it will come topass.
Amen, I believe it.
I declare this day that noweapon formed against me can
prosper, because I am therighteousness of God.

(53:40):
Favor surrounds me as a shieldand divine protection surrounds
me as a shield.
I am therefore in the rightplace at the right time.
I cannot be defeated In fact, come on, lord or destroyed.
He said every nut, but I sat.
In fact, every tongue thataccuses me and every tongue that
attacks me I condemn with mywords.
This is my heritage, this is myright as a child of God.

(54:04):
I'm made in his image.
I'm made with his dominion andauthority living in me, coming
forth out of my spirit.
Through my words, I declaretoday that Satan has no power
over my life and that everyweapon he has has been defeated,
that fear is cast out, thatlove makes my faith work and
therefore, I cannot fail.
God's word cannot fail andthat's what I'm made.

(54:26):
Of his word.
I'm made in his image, afterhis likeness, with the power of
the Holy Spirit and authority ofhis words.
Therefore, by the blood ofJesus, I dwell in the secret
place of the Most High.
That's why you can't find me.
I abide under the shadow of theAlmighty.
I say of the Lord, you are myrefuge and my fortress, my God,

(54:48):
it's in you that I trust.
So, father, we release all thatyou have said about us and we
are coming into full agreement.
I pray, lord God, that as manytimes that we have said this
declaration, lord God, that it'sseated in our heart.
Maybe just one or two lines toremind us of the power of the
Holy Spirit, the power that wecarry, and that every single

(55:08):
thing that we touch, everythingthat we do, everything that we
say, it will come to pass.
So, lord, I ask, lord God, thatyou will give us that
supernatural favor, thatsupernatural grace, give us that
divine protection.
Let grace be activated in ourlives so we can work this thing
out, walk this thing out.
Give us all the strategy andthe downloads, all the plans,

(55:29):
everything that we need for thismonth of June, so that we can
bring everything into light.
Thank you, god, for what youare doing for each of us, for
waking us back up, Despite whatit looks like around us.
Lord God, we are trusting you,we are in your presence, we are
under your covering and becauseyou have turned your face and
you smiled upon us, lord God, weknow that you're going to bless

(55:51):
us in such a mighty powerfulway.
Thank you, lord God, for allthat you have already said and
all that you are about to do.
Amen, amen, amen, all right.
So for those of y'all, ifyou're new, if you wanna receive
the Lord, but basically if youwanna reconfirm your
relationship with our Lord andSavior, you just have to say
amen, if you are in agreement,at the end of this.

(56:12):
And it's simply this, lordJesus, I believe you are the son
of God, that you died on thecross to rescue me from sin and
death and to restore me to theFather.
I choose now to turn from mysins, my self-centeredness and
every part of my life that doesnot please you.
Y'all.
We got to let it go.
I choose you and I give myselfto you.

(56:33):
I receive your forgiveness andI ask you to take your rightful
place in my life, both as mySavior and my Lord, come, reign
in my heart, fill me with yourlove and your life, restore me,
jesus.
Thank you, god.
All these things we pray inJesus' name and, if you agree,
you say amen, amen, amen, allright, so just take a minute to

(56:56):
just thank God for allcircumstances.
Maybe you're thanking him forthis day.
I'm surely thanking him forthis month of June.
I'm thanking you, lord, forfiring back up.
I thank you for divineconfirmations.
I thank you for giving me theear to hear and the ear to
listen and to send, you know, sending your word in such an

(57:18):
amazing and powerful way.
I thank you for those who haveheard this teaching tonight and
they may be encouraged in anysmall way that they'll come back
on track If there was an ideaor something that you, a dream
or something that you dropped intheir spirit months ago and
they let that thing fall apartbecause they were just too busy.

(57:39):
That now, lord God, that you'llturn that fire up, because
there are people who arestanding in need of our voices,
of our contributions, of ourideas, of our products, of our
services, of all the things thatwe have to offer, our gifts and
talents, of the expansion andthe kingdom that we're going to
do that.
There are people who arewaiting for us to be real and

(58:02):
relatable and approachable, people who are waiting for our
prayers, people who are waitingfor just our smiles, and even in
this very season where thingsare so bleak.
So we thank you, god, that weare even now just receiving even
more downloads, that you'rewaking us back up so that we can
continue to carry out theseworks that you have sent us here

(58:23):
to do.
All of this, we know, is yourwill, and so we are standing in
agreement and as we thank you, god, we're even thanking you for
the great success that we'recoming into this year.
We're thanking you forbreakthroughs.
We're thanking you now for theblessings, everything that they
have marked down that is a partof their greater.
Next, we're thanking you rightnow.
I thank you, god, for thepromotions and the accelerations

(58:45):
, the ideas.
I thank you for the safe travelto and from the destination.
I thank you for increase inspeaking gigs for those who are
waiting for that.
I thank you, lord, for thosewho are writing books that
you'll give them.
They'll feel so filled withyour joy and they'll be so

(59:05):
creative that all thatcreativity comes back.
Those who have to solve bigproblems, that you're giving
them the strategies, even whilethey sleep.
They can't even wait to wake upto write down all the cool
strategies that you're givingthem, those problem solvers,
lord God, those that you havemarked.
Thank you for awakening yourdaughters, your sons and
daughters tonight so that we cango and carry out these things.

(59:27):
Thank you for our children, ourfriends, our spouses.
Thank you, lord, for those whoare moving into the greater next
, in obedience and completesurrender to you.
We give you all the praise, lord, god, and we thank you,
amen, amen.
So benediction, november, november, number six, 24 to 26.
It's very simple.

(59:48):
It says the Lord bless you andkeep you.
The Lord make his face to shineupon you and be gracious to you
.
The Lord lift up hiscountenance upon you and give
you peace.
All right.
So with that, I'm going to comeback to the room.
I made it 925.
I made it under my time, honoring your time, so I'm going
to stop the recording.
