We need to revisit the concept of anointing in the church, recognizing that all believers—not just platform ministers—carry God's anointing through the Holy Spirit. Based on 2 Corinthians 1:20-22, this episode addresses everyday Christians who may not have large platforms but are called to reflect Christ's love in their daily assignments.

• God has anointed all believers with the Holy Spirit, not just those with public ministries or platforms
• Many people with powerful anointing work in everyday roles—as greeters, cashiers, mechanics, teachers, or healthcare workers
• The phrase "don't touch my anointed" applies to all believers, not just church leaders
• Being content with "small" assignments like coaching, parenting, or everyday work can have tremendous impact
• Stay within God's perfect will rather than striving to build bigger platforms
• One person faithfully living out their assignment might impact many others indirectly
• Let the Holy Spirit work through you in whatever assignment God has given you

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey y'all, it's Saturday, faith Fuel and happy
Saturday.
So today we're going to talkabout this thing that's been
going around a lot.
It's going around a lot latelyand it's really about the
anointing.
Who's truly the anointing?
So I'm going to be coming froma place of love and we're
learning and we're living lifetogether, and I think it makes

(00:24):
sense for us to just kind of goback into the word a little bit.
I specifically want to sharewhat's on my heart with those of
us who are not.
We don't have platforms.
You might be connected just toyour family and your friends.
You don't have.
You're not a five-fold ministryperson, none of those things.

(00:45):
So this is specifically forthose of us who aren't trying to
build churches and other things, right.
But I want to talk about theanointing, especially now,
because there's a lot of coursecorrection that's happening in
the church.
There are a lot of, as mypastor at my church puts it,

(01:06):
people who are paid to beChristians, who are not really
Christians, and there's a lot ofinfighting happening right now
and one of the things that folksdo to keep their membership is
to establish themselves as morecredible than the others.
So you'll hear people in churchon the pulpit, say this and

(01:28):
then you'll hear theircongregation echo this that you
know that statement or thatverse that they pull out that
says don't harm my anointed, something like that.
I'm just paraphrasing right now.
Okay, so, uh.
So I want to talk about who theanointed is and I'm going to
come in into our word becausethere are.
I have met more people withmore anointing than a lot of

(01:52):
those folks on in the pulpit, than your, than your pastor and
your prophet.
Um, I've come across peoplewith the kind of anointing where
God has put them to minister,to, uh, to their community in
different ways.
They show up as the greeter atWalmart, they show up as your
cashier at the gas station, theyshow up as your mechanic, they

(02:14):
show up as your teacher, theyshow up as your ER person, they
show up as your colleague on thejob Folks who don't have a
platform.
But you are anointed, all of usare anointed.
So we're going to please, let'sgo into scripture and I want to
encourage those of y'all whoare anointed and the Lord is
using you where you are.

(02:34):
That's why we always pray overour assignments.
We pray over our assignmentsbecause that's where you're
supposed to be and I don't wantyou to, I don't want you to miss
this.
So I'm in second corinthians.
Yes, it's hot, I'm in georgia,I'm, I'm sweating, okay, I got a
little oil, like, don't payattention to that, y'all.
Okay, it's hot, y'all, and I'ma woman of a certain age and it

(02:56):
kind of it is what.
It is all right.
Second corinthians um.
Second corinthians 1, verses 20through 22.
This is the esv asia version.
Okay, for all the promises ofgod find their yes in him.
That is why it is through himthat we utter our amen to god
for his glory.
And it is god who establishesus with you in christ, as you

(03:20):
and me, and has anointed us,okay, and who has also put his
seal on us and given us hisspirit that's Holy Spirit in our
hearts, as a guarantee For allthe promises of God find their
yes in him.
That is why, through him, thatwe utter our amen to God for his

(03:41):
glory.
And it is God who establishesus with you in Christ and has
anointed us and who has put hisseal on us and given us his
spirit in our hearts as aguarantee, the spirit in our
heart being the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is with us, inus.
Sometimes, when I pray, I saythank you for being with me,

(04:02):
around me, near me, by me.
All the things, okay, all thethings, so the anointing, and
and how we take care of eachother and how we respect each
other.
Don't get confused and thinkthat just because someone has a
pulpit or just because they havea platform or they're claiming
to be a prophet or they'reclaiming to be an evangelist or

(04:23):
apostle, don't be confused, thinking that they are more,
they're better than you, they'rehighly anointed.
We are all the same in God'skingdom.
And to me, can I?
They are more, they're betterthan you, they're highly
anointed.
We are all the same in God'skingdom.
And to me, can I just be honest, sometimes that is the most
frustrating thing ever, becauseI'm like Lord, your son, your
apostle, so-and-so, is out heredoing the things, saying the

(04:44):
things, and he's getting awaywith it, and you know what I
mean.
I get so frustrated sometimes,y'all, but I want to speak to
those of y'all who are in anassignment where the Lord is
using you and you are anointedto do the work that he's graced
you to do.
So for those of y'all who are, again, you don't have a platform
.
You're not trying to be aninfluence, you're not trying to

(05:06):
do all the things.
You're just trying to live yourlife and reflect the love of
Christ to those who comealongside you.
When you show up on your job, you're living your life and
reflecting the love of Christ tothose you work with.
When you're going to the store, you're living your life right.
When you're going to the store, you're doing your things and

(05:27):
you're reflecting the love ofChrist in how you approach the
cashier, the person at the door, how you hold the door, how you
deal with you know all kinds ofcrazy racist stuff that's going
on right now how you respond toyour environment.
You are anointed to operatewhere he put you.
The word says that he's put hisseal on us and he's given us
his Holy Spirit.
That is our guarantee, thegrace that God has given you to

(05:48):
do what you've got to do y'all.
You are anointed so that youcould be a great teacher, if
that's the assignment he's givenyou.
If you're the godmother, theperson who's watching over
children, you are anointed inthat way.
So don't get caught up thinkingwhen people say, don't touch,

(06:12):
not my anointed you also, thatalso means they can't touch you.
Okay, I don't worry about hatersand who's doing the what.
Trust me, I get it.
Trust me, I get it.
But I'm not concerned aboutthat because in the same way the
Lord has his divine protectionover me, is the same way he has
it over you.
That's why I always urge you to, first of all, stay within
God's perfect will for your life, ask him what you should be

(06:33):
doing and stay that path.
Okay, don't be so worried abouttrying to build out your
ministry, because the moment youstart to focus on building
something out, you miss whatGod's working on.
You miss what the Lord istrying to do.
We start to allow our ego totake over.
We don't want to be taught bynobody.

(06:54):
You know, everybody wants.
You know what I'm saying.
Like, we all want success andwe want it right now, but I
don't want you to miss theseincredible, awesome
opportunities that God gives youto just do what maybe are the
small things.
I'll deal with.
I'll take the little things.
If the Lord says something minor, you know, go, do something.
Go speak to that person, smileat that person.

(07:17):
To me, that's my assignment, right, and I'm going to do it.
A lot of folks don't want to dothat because it's not big
enough, it's not bringing youthe cash flow you thought you,
you know you deserve and all thethings.
So I hope this is making sense.
I know I'm uttering a lot, butI just want to give a quick
shout out to those of us who wedon't have the platforms.
We, we don't have all thethings, okay, but we are still

(07:39):
being obedient to when the lordtells us and calls us to do
something and we are happy withthe small.
Be okay with a small if hegives you.
If your assignment y'all is abaseball coach, right, say you
know, you're the coach, you'rethe dad and you're the coach,
and that's your assignment.
You're anointed because you'rethe dad and you're the coach,
and that's your assignment.
You're anointed because you'refollowing Christ and the Holy
Spirit is with you.
Then, when you go to coach, you're coaching through

(08:02):
discipline and love.
Right, you're anointed to dothat.
That's what you do.
And you never know you touchone child's life, that one child
might be touching 10 otherpeople.
So numbers don't make sense.
Don't get so excited aboutpeople with big platforms y'all,

(08:24):
because there's a lot of folkswho are just audience members
but they're not actuallybelievers.
I'm just okay.
So I don't want to you knowagain.
You know, for those of us youknow bus drivers, mechanics,
teachers, all of y'all, all ofall of us who have access where
the lord's put you in anassignment, you have access to
many, many people, um, that is,you're anointed to do the work,

(08:44):
and let him work through you,let the holy spirit do the work.
Let the holy spirit do the workthrough you.
So that was, um, that was comingout of second corinthians 1,
verses 20 to 22.
And again, I always urge you togo back and read the Word,
because I'm not making thisstuff up.
We just have to do a little bitbetter of a job reading what

(09:05):
the Word of God says, so that wedon't become stumbling blocks
to each other.
All right, I will drop thescripture in the notes also,
just so y'all have it, so thatyou know I don't confuse us.
It's second Corinthians 1,verses 20 to 22.
My bad, all right, I love you, jesus loves you more, and God
bless you all.
Right, bye.
