Speaker 1 (00:00):
no-transcript.
(03:26):
I'm just adjusting my music.
And how are y'all doing?
I hope everybody's doing.
Okay, it is.
I just can't believe.
We're almost.
No, we're midway through April.
So we've got a couple moreteaching on this particular
subject.
So this is week three for usand the title for this, this
particular subject.
(03:46):
So this is week three for us,and the title for this today's
teaching is keep going, evenwhen it's hard.
So we've been really leaninginto scriptures that encourage
us, and it doesn't matter whatseason you're in If you're in a
season where it's all going well.
I'm just looking at my commentsreal quickly.
Good morning, dr Tracy.
Faithful Tracy, it doesn'tmatter what season you're in.
As I was saying, this might bea winning season for you, and so
(04:09):
then the encouragement is tokeep going.
This might not be a winningseason for you, and then the
encouragement is for you to keepgoing.
So, either way, whatever seasonyou're in.
So before we get started, I justwant to say a quick prayer and
then I'm going to pull up thescripture we're going to be in
Galatians 6, verse 9, and thenwe're going to close with prayer
and move on with our day.
(04:31):
Okay, all right.
So, lord, we just thank you forallowing us again to see
another Thursday.
We're so grateful for all thatyou have already done and we
declare victory in this day thateverything that we do, every
meeting, every encounter, everyconversation, every email, even
the post, anything that we do,lord God, even the things that's
coming in our mail, it's allgoing to work out for our good,
(04:52):
no matter what it is that we'regoing through, the season that
we're in, that there won't beany doubt that you are still God
.
You're still a father thatblesses his children.
We thank you that you'll showus mercy today.
We thank you for the goodnessof the day.
We thank you for blessing usand restoring us and protecting
us, especially those who arecommuting now to work.
(05:12):
Lord, I ask that you'll blessthem as they go to and from
their destinations, that they'llcome home safely.
For those who are in the jobmarket, lord, that those are
feeling weary by not hearingnews or being, or the sense or
feeling of rejection, that thatyou'll, you know, even use this,
use this podcast, lord God, toencourage them to just hold on,
(05:34):
hold on.
So all of these things we askin Jesus name, amen.
We got to start with prayer, okay, so I wanted to.
I'm going to pull up thisscripture Galatians six, verse
nine.
So I wanted to.
I'm going to pull up thisscripture, galatians 6, verse 9.
This is the ESV version and itsays and let us not grow weary
of doing good, for in due seasonwe will reap if we do not give
(05:55):
up.
It's very tempting and enticing, when things aren't going our
way, for us to look for aneasier way out, especially can I
just be honest especially whenit looks like people who don't
deserve it are getting all ofthe things, it's really easy to
fall into that mindset Like waita minute, I'm not going to, I'm
(06:16):
not going to do.
They're taking shortcuts, okay,and it's not fair.
And so it's easy to fall intothat mindset when you're
watching things happen aroundyou and I'm really big on
justice, I really have a senseof always doing the right thing.
But you got to recognize thateverybody doesn't.
(06:37):
Everybody don't think that way,right?
Everyone isn't about doing theright thing or advocating for
others.
A lot of people are in it forthemselves.
They advocate for one right.
So even with that, we have tobe careful that we don't fall
into judgment, because everybodyisn't built with us.
We don't have the same mindset, the same thoughts, the same
desires and all the things.
(06:58):
So let us not grow weary ofdoing good.
So I want to share three thingsthat I do with my day to just to
keep going, even when it's hard, even when things are tough.
Again, I'm talking about, youknow, maybe it's tough on the
job, it could be your home, yourhome life, your marriage life,
your kids, whatever right, justlife is lifing.
(07:19):
But just three things that wecan do with our day, and I break
my day into three components.
The first way is the first partof my day is waking up, the
second part is midday and thethird part is just evening.
Right, just like y'all, right.
So in the waking up, the firstthing that I do, and something
that I challenge myself to do,is that I declare the day.
(07:42):
So it means that when I get up,I don't get out of my bed and
start cursing the day or cursingmyself.
I don't wake up and start going.
Here I go, I can't stand Monday, oh, this job, I don't do any
of that.
I wake up and I start declaringthat this is the day that I
will see the goodness of theLord.
This day is going to yield allgood things for me.
(08:03):
All things are working togetherfor my good.
Thank you, lord, that today I'mgoing to be reminded of the
apple of your eye.
I start to bring scripture intomy day, and I'm not even talking
about prayer, this is just mespeaking into the day, waking up
with the mindset that sometimeswhen I come to my work calendar
and I look at the meetings thatI have and and what I'm doing
(08:26):
is I'm already setting theexpectations of what my day is
going to be.
But I'm using it, I'm aligningit back with God's word.
It's important to do thatbecause otherwise we get so worn
out, like listen.
There are days when I look atmy calendar and some of those
meetings I'm like, oh, will itjust be?
I don't want to deal with thisperson.
But I don't let that come outof my mouth.
(08:46):
I go oh Lord, I pray that inthis meeting that you will give
me your favor.
Like all the things right, waking up.
You know, take time in themorning to go through the
process of waking yourself up.
I know a lot of us, you know, especially if you have young
kids, that you're.
You know you end up rushingright Cause you've got to get
people out the door, you got tofeed people, got to get them on
the bus, you got to get to work, all the things.
(09:07):
But maybe for the rest of thisquarter remember I said we're
going to break things up byquarter so that we can
realistically see more results,if you will.
So this quarter means it endsin June, we're in Q2.
So maybe for the rest of thisquarter you put into practice of
(09:30):
raking your days like this.
You got to check your thoughtsin the morning when you first
wake up.
Don't open your mouth and sayanything that curses the day.
If you open your mouth, maybethe first thing you say is thank
God, I'm alive to see the day.
Okay, just putting that intopractice.
That's the morning Again.
Take your time, get yourselfready.
As you're getting dressed, asyou're getting showered like
(09:52):
little things I do y'all, evenas I'm getting showered, when I
let that water hit me, I'm likethank you, lord cleansing me
with this water.
The same way, this water iscleansing me, you're washing my
sins.
I'm repenting in the shower.
I'm doing all the things right.
As I'm getting dressed, I'mthanking him.
(10:14):
You know for thank you, lord, for I can afford this lotion.
Thank you, lord.
I mean all the things.
So it changes your mindsetbefore you even get started with
your day.
So that's the waking up part ofthe day.
Again, we're talking about notgrowing weary of doing good, and
all of these things.
As you start to put them intopractice, it does shift your
(10:35):
mindset.
You're not focused on all thethings and all the people doing
wrong.
All of a sudden you're kind ofconsumed with all the things
that are going well and watchingGod work in your life, because
you know, in due season we willreap.
But we got to plant the rightseeds, including us, right, so
all right.
So the next part of the day is Icall it midday.
(10:55):
This is when you've been at thejob.
Or, again, if you work fromhome or you work out of the
office, whatever it is, or youknow, even if you're not working
right now, you need to carveout a part of your day to do
this Midday.
So midday typically comes afteryou've gone through some
meetings, you've heard thethings and all the things, right
, but midday is where I feellike I'm under more.
(11:18):
I feel like I'm more.
I'm not under attack, y'all, because I don't claim that from
me, I'm protected, okay.
But midday is where you'veallowed other people to pour
into you in different ways, iswhere, like, gossip happens or
frustration happens or thingslike that, like those icky
things start to happen.
So midday is when I go intoPsalm 40.
(11:39):
So maybe for you it's adifferent Psalm.
Just telling you what I domidday, I typically do this like
after lunch and I'll go intoPsalm 40 and I'll release that
word and you know, sometimes I'mfeeling a little weary, tired,
mentally exhausted, right, because I would have dealt with
the morning.
So midday is when I come backto the Lord and I start putting
(12:00):
presenting things before him.
So if someone is going crazy onthe job, or your kid's going
crazy, like you know, if you'rea teen mom and you get those
texts from school where they gotto do the event that night and
you're finding out at twoo'clock, like all the things,
right, or maybe you know ifyou're in the job market and you
, you know, by midday is whereyou're getting those rejection,
(12:23):
or maybe you lost a project orall the things.
But regardless of what the daystructure looked like, midday,
around the lunch, lunch hour, iswhere I start going back to the
Lord and I start, I go intoPsalm 40 or I start repenting of
oh Lord, forgive me for what Ijust said, forgive me for the
thoughts I had, because, y'all, life is lifing.
So I do that.
And then how I close my day isevening time.
(12:45):
So when I'm closing my day, when I'm laying in my bed,
before I go to sleep, the thingthat I do right before I go to
sleep is, first of all, I askedthe Lord to speak to me through
my dreams.
So for him to do that, I haveto kind of dump the day right.
So I released everything thathappened during the day.
I have a grateful heart.
(13:07):
I repent of anything I said ordid or thought.
I let go of any doubt or fear.
And then I started saying Lord,I know I'm going to see you in
the like.
I, you know, I hear from God.
I'm not a person that's goingto say I don't hear from.
I hear from God all day long.
It God is speaking to us allday long.
Holy Spirit is tapping us onthe shoulder all day long.
(13:27):
It's just a lot of us refuse tolisten.
Or you're waiting for him toconfirm it and then confirm it
again and he's like hello, I'mtalking to you but you're not
listening.
So something I do at night is Iquiet the night down so that and
I mean listen I don't taketexts, I don't do phone calls,
there's just a period of thenight where I have to.
(13:48):
I switch over and do this onyour phone, put it on, do not
disturb before you go to bed andthen just go into a position of
being gratefulness.
And the only thing that I askat night is the only prayer.
That or prayer point that Ihave at nighttime is Lord, I
want to see you, I want to hearfrom you, I can't wait to hear
(14:10):
from you.
Thank you for speaking to me inmy dreams.
I'm open.
I want to hear from you.
Holy Spirit, thank you forcorrecting me, thank you for
blessing me.
Like that's the position that Ihave and it's so amazing, and
then you know it's kind of, theday starts over.
So those three things, so all ofthese things, is to say that
you have to have some kind ofdiscipline, even when things are
hard.
(14:31):
Like I said, if you get tiredof doing the right thing, you
will find you will look for waysto do shortcuts If you're
trying to, um, build a businessand it's not working out as fast
as you think it should.
Um, and then you start to lookfor shortcuts to entice people.
Um, and it doesn't work outright, right, uh, you know
(14:55):
that's what I mean.
Like you might get weary oftrying to build up your business
and you're looking for ashortcut.
It says in, in due season wewill reap right Seasons right,
it didn't say tomorrow, rightSeasons.
And then the encouragement isfor us not to give up.
Also, I want to remind y'all wehave our prayer twice today,
thursday, and so I encourage youif you're in that season where
(15:17):
you feel like, man, things arehard, listen, things are hard
right now.
Okay, even if this is a seasonof winning, you still have to
maintain that it is still veryhard to maintain the win, okay,
so no one is no one isn't.
You know, you might see smileson people's faces, but we're all
dealing with you know, how?
(15:38):
How do we, how do we hold on,how we keep going?
So I hope that helped y'all.
Like I said, I just wanted toshare the kind of the way I
bucket my days.
Again, it's morning, so we'vealready done the morning part.
I'm here, you know, herepraying and you know, and
learning and doing life withy'all, and I just hope that this
will encourage you to keepgoing, even when it's hard.
(15:59):
So, lord, I thank you for yourteaching this morning.
Thank you, holy Spirit, forreminding us that everything
that we need you have alreadyprovided, and we thank you.
We are grateful for this day.
We thank you for reminding usthat we have access to you all
day long, and so I pray thatevery person under the sound of
my voice who's standing in needof a word, a special word or
blessing from you, that theywill receive that today, lord,
(16:22):
we give over this day to you.
We thank you for all of thefavor and all of the blessings
that you have already laidbefore us, but we're claiming
that now we're standing inagreement with what heaven says,
that this is our day and thatyou will bless us in this day,
that you'll show us where to goand who to speak to.
We ask, lord, god, that you'llforgive us for anything that we
have said or done or thought, anything that is blocking us
(16:45):
from hearing from you.
We want to hear you clearly.
I pray, lord, god, that thisday is a day full of joy.
We will observe that with ourhearts, we'll feel happy, we'll
feel relieved.
No tension, no worry, lord God.
That we'll feel even lighter onour feet, lord God, that will
allow us to be able to hear fromyou and be more creative and to
(17:08):
really lock in on your voice.
If our minds are filled withworry and doubt and all the
other things, lord God, we won'tbe able to hear you.
Lord, I pray for every personwho's in their car driving, lord
God, now to their jobs, or kidson the buses, or your bus
drivers, or anyone right now intraffic we're about to get in
traffic that you will take themsafely to their destination and
(17:30):
bring them safely back home.
Thank you, lord God, for alland everything.
Thank you for our praying team, thank you for our intercessors.
We thank you for our familiesand our friends.
Thank you for this day, lordGod, that you have marked this a
special day and that you willbless us and we will see and
experience it today, and allthese things we ask in your holy
name, lord Amen.
Isn't that awesome y'all?
(17:51):
So I hope that this encouragesyou to keep going, even when
it's hard, even when it lookslike it don't make any sense.
We don't see God's hand ineverything, but I know his hand
is in everything.
Okay, I don't need to see hishand in everything to know that
he's in everything.
I know that he's in everythingand I know that all things are
(18:14):
working together for my good.
That's just a fact, okay.
So I want to encourage you toremember that all things are
working together for your good, even when it looks like it makes
no sense, when you lose theopportunity and the bills are
piling up, that the Lord willuse that as an opportunity to
show you that he's still yourfather and he is your provider.
(18:37):
I want that for you.
I want us to have, honestly, aheart of joy to just remember
that, even when it's hard, thisis his finest hour.
Amen, like listen, god is Godand God is good, but when it's
hard he is great.
I love to see him show up whenthings are hard in our lives,
because most of us, all of us weneed that.
(18:59):
We need to see you show up,lord.
We need to see you show up inall of our lives when it's hard.
So that brings us to our close.
I hope you have an amazingThursday y'all.
