with this, this topic, but we'regoing to dive into it.
And then, as as always, there'salways incredible, incredible
confirmation when I'm hesitantto talk about something.
So I'm sitting in our churchyesterday and minding my
business, as they say, and andthere was I was going to say an

ad, but there was anannouncement that came up in our
church I go to Perimeter herein Georgia that they are
actually going to be talkingabout this subject called
Journey to Generosity.
So they're going to be talkingabout money in the month of
August, and I was like what?
That's what I'm doing.
So we're calling today MoneyMoves or Missteps.

Our intention today is to prayabout some things, asking for
wisdom.
A lot of times when we go tothe Lord, we're asking him for
financial blessings.
But it's not like you know, godisn't like a genie.
Where you go and you pray andyou're like bless me, and then
the money just pops up.
Um, he gives you the resources,um, sometimes the, even

awakening the desire, and I'lltalk about that a little bit, if
you let me um around beingfinancially blessed.
I think there's so many folkswe've got it wrong Uh, I, I, uh,
and.
And.
As I was thinking about thissince last Thursday, because I
(07:13):
was even on the prayer phoneline, asking for prayer for
wisdom, for how to talk aboutmoney in a way that it doesn't
come off cringy, it doesn't comeoff like oh gosh, there she
goes right.
But we have to have the rightrelationship with money.
I know a lot of Christians, alot of folks, a lot of folks
will run to money is the root ofall evil, and it is true.
If your intention is to getmoney and your focus is to

consume and just consume wealthand that's your focus you don't
care about people, you don'tcare about how you get it, you
know, or you have such a disdain, you have a poverty mindset
where there's such lack in yourtalking, there's such lack in
your thinking, and then youstart to become bitter with
people who might have money.
You know, who does she thinkshe is, and you don't need all
that and you don't need to bedoing all that and everybody
can't do that.
So there's so many, so manyways to pull on this topic,

which is again, like I said, whyI'm going to share a couple of
just personal things with me andthe intention here is to
encourage all of us to take alittle bit different look at
money this week and then, if, ifthe Lord leads me, then we'll
keep talking about it in August,totally separate and totally
different topic that we'retalking about on the Thursday
podcast which, as a quickreminder, y'all can find the

jump further and go into prayer.

Thursday we'll shift to andwe'll consolidate to 7 pm phone

line prayer, so Three PrayingSisters will only be at 7 pm
Eastern, and I think this isjust a much better way.
It works with all of ourschedules.
Meeting at 1 o'clock during theworkday is really tough y'all.
So consolidating and having usmeet up at 7 pm on that phone
line so it's open again toeverybody is free, and I think

that this is going to help blessall of us.
And then the last thing is justa reminder that as I'm sharing
and teaching, I'm encouragingyou to also listen to what the
Lord is showing you in your life.
This weekend I was thinkingabout just how big God is, and I
think we've gotten so used totreating God like he's a bestie

that this weekend I was justsitting back, like when you feel
really just pause and thinkabout the God of all, the
creator of the universe, he whois everywhere and nowhere.
At the same time.
When I say nowhere, I mean likea blank space, not that he's
not evident.
When you think about, like,even if you try to wrap your

mind around it, even if you tryto envision it in any way and I
was really trying this weekendto wrap my mind around this
incredible God, like if youwatch, like I watch, I like
movies or like shows, that showI even.
I enjoy learning about Greekmythology, not because I believe
(11:55):
in Greek gods.
I enjoy learning about Greekmythology, not because I believe
in Greek gods, but when Ilisten or read about that it
kind of puts a perspective.
If you think about the god ofthunder and even those gods are
still not as powerful as the godbecause they were created,
right, you know what I'm saying.
Even if you try to do it levelby level by level, you will be

mind blown.
I also think about that sameYahweh, that same creator of
heavens and earth, that sameeternal being, that same
incredible force and power thathas the world in the palm of his
hand.
That same incredible Yahweh ismy Abba, that's my father, right
(12:41):

And so the things that I do,the breath that I take, even the
lifespan that I have, like I'mstill connected to him and I
just want to remind us every nowand then.
We got to lift our head out ofour troubles and look up and see
how incredible, amazing andawesome this God is that we

serve and y'all, and so when youdo that, your perspective might
be a little bit different,right?
So, anyway, I say all that tosay that you, you might feel
like what we're going to talkabout when it comes to money and
how we position for that.
I, absolutely I don't thinkthat we have anything.
Nothing is impossible to mebecause of the God I serve.

When you lift your head up andyou start to understand and you
ask God to give youunderstanding of who this
incredible, eternal being, y'all, again, we, I think we get so,
um, comfortable when we talkabout even our lord, our savior,
jesus christ, our brother.
Right, when we speak about him.
(13:46):
We just think about the jesusin the bible, right, we think
about the jesus at easter, wethink about the jesus on the
cross, but you're not thinkingabout him, he who is all, he who
was before everything, he whoreigns.
You're not thinking about theHoly Spirit as this incredible
(14:06):
light that, when he is in you,that his features come out of
your mouth, your eyes, your ears, you start to have more faith,
more joy, more love, moreself-control, just by the nature
of his light, like we have tolift our heads up and see.
You know again just themagnitude of the God we serve.
(14:28):
And so it's important that youhave that perspective, because
if you don't, when we starttalking about money, the first
thing that's going to come toyou is you ain't got it right.
The first thing that will cometo some of you well, my family's
always been poor, or we used tohave money and then we lost it.
I'm just fine where I am, Idon't need nothing, right?
(14:53):
You start your thoughts, you'llstart to convince yourself into
lack.
You'll start to look at thingsthat's counter to the great God
you serve.
So that is going to require amind shift for all of us.
All, right, if you don't liftyour head up and acknowledge the
mighty, incredible, big Godthat we serve, you'll start to
(15:17):
become comfortable with lack.
You'll start to becomecomfortable with not having
access.
You'll start becomingcomfortable with being broke.
Right, that's not our fathery'all, we are royalty.
I mean, if we truly understoodthe magnitude of the God we
serve, we would see thingsdifferently.

So I'm going to challenge ustoday to see things just a
little bit, even if it's justfor the next 15 minutes, y'all,
just to challenge ourselves tosee things a little bit
differently.
And again, it's not that we'repraying for wealth, right, but
we are praying for resources andwe need it through finance, and
it's okay to ask God.
Listen, if you don't need it,then you don't pray this prayer,
but if you're like me and youneed it, then we're going to

pray this.
Okay, we're going to ask ourFather for what we need, and if
you don't, if that's not yourthing, that's all right.
Okay, but for those of us whoneed it, we're going to go ahead
and ask our great, incrediblefather.
The three scriptures that I wantto share with you before we go
into prayer the first isProverbs 21, verse five.
These are all a Shelly versions.
Okay, esv, the plans of thediligent, the diligent.
(16:28):
Now I want y'all again be wiseto these words.
Okay, cause nothing I'm goingto say to you is going to say
you sit back and things justshow up.
Nothing I'm going to say to youis going to you just sit back,
imagine and manifest.
It requires something.
It requires something on ourpart and it says the plans of
the diligent lead surely, toabundance.
The plans meaning you have tohave a plan.

So a lot of us are stuckbecause we don't have a plan, we
don't have a financial plan, wedon't have a financial plan, we
don't have a job plan.
You might have the desire tostart a business, but don't
leave your day job to start thatbusiness.
Start that business when youhave enough money in your
account that equates to your dayjob.

That's when you leave your dayjob.
Right, stop jumping.
All right, have a plan.
What does your plan look likefor the rest of this month?
Or maybe you want to kicksomething off in the month of
August, like for me.
I've written down the two bigbuys that I'm going to have, my
personal big buys outside ofpaying my bills and putting
money aside.
The two big buys I'm going tohave in the month of August and

that's all I'm'm gonna do forthe month of august.
Just two things each paycheck,understand.
So what is the plan?
What is your plan?
Right?
And it says lead surely, toabundance.
It means that our focus isgoing to be what we do, the
seeds we plant we're going tofocus on leading it says surely
to abundance.
Well, abundance means thatyou're also being wise with what
(17:58):
you have in your hands.
So we're going to ask the Lordto give us wisdom so that
whatever plans we have is goingto lead to abundance.
Amen.
And it says but everyone who ishasty comes only to poverty.
So we're not going to just rushinto things.
Some of us have things in ourAmazon cart.
We're going to need to movethat to our wishlist.
Okay, right, we're not going torush into any financial
(18:20):
decisions this month.
Right, we're going to slow downjust a little bit.
And that does include travel.
That does include conferences.
This is conference season.
That's why I keep saying thisright, conferences, where you go
, you pay your money and everyyear you go and you're still
going for the same breakthrough.
Okay, we're going to put apause on that.
Okay, so I'm sorry for y'allwho are listening, who already
(18:42):
put the money out, but we'regoing to be a little bit more
cautious about where we put themoney In the month of August,
even where you maybe eat out alittle bit less.
Don't starve yourself, right,don't starve yourself from the
things that you need.
A lot of us have invested a lotof money in self-care.
But even with that, is theresomething we can do to invest

our money in a different way sowe can lead to abundance?
We don't want to go inSeptember in the way that we
started August.
We want to have an abundantSeptember.
Okay, all right.
Luke 14, 28,.
It says for which of youdesiring to build a tower.
So if you're desiring to buildanything a tower or a business,
(19:26):
or maybe you're trying to buildup your savings account, your
checking account, whatever it isright.
Desiring to build a tower,maybe trying to pay off or do
renovation in your house, payoff your bills, kids about to go
back to school, y'all.
So now we have to put moneythere.
It says for which of youdesiring to build a tower does
not first sit down.
Sit down and count the cost,budget y'all, whether he has

enough to complete it.
So we're going to sit down andwe're going to look at where
we're going to spend our coinsfor the month of August.
Right, we're going to considerit whether or not we can afford
some of the things that we'reattempting to do, again that
we're changing our mindset.
And then James 1.5 now brings itback to the Lord.
So see, first we started withhaving the mindset, the plans of
(20:13):
the diligence.
So we have to change ourmindset.
We have to actually startthinking about having actual
plans about how we're going tomanage our finances this week
leading into August.
The second step is that we'regoing to sit down now and we're
going to consider, before westart throwing money and
building things and buyingthings, we're going to sit down
and count the cost.
(20:33):
We're going to make a budgetright.
First thing is mindset.
Second thing is budget.
The third thing is we come backto our father.
Now, this is why I started thatWe've got to understand we serve
a mighty, mighty, big God.
Okay, nothing is impossible toGod, nothing is impossible.
So if nothing is impossible toGod, nothing is impossible to me
(20:55):
, nothing is impossible to you.
All right, there is zerolimitation on us this month.
We thank you, lord, that you'regoing to give us wisdom in this
specific area.
The word says if any of youlacks wisdom, let him ask God,
ask your father, who gives whatGenerously to all, without
reproach.
He's not going to look at youand say I can't believe you're
(21:16):
asking me for that.
Okay, it says it will be given.
So we have to believe.
But you got to have a plan, yougot to have a budget and then
you got to have wisdom.
So those are the three areasthat we're leaning into as we're
closing out July.
Like I said, it starts with ourmindset.
We got to remember who we serve.
(21:37):
Father God, I thank you that youbrought us here this morning,
and for every family under thesound of my voice, as we are all
in need of something, that youare the only resource we truly
have.
We worship your awesome namethis morning and we cry out to
you as your children, father, weknow that we are your children
because we have received and webelieve we have received the
Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviorand our King, and that everyone
(22:00):
isn't your child.
We're not all children of God,but those who you have marked,
those who have received andbelieved because of the
suffering, because of what theLord Jesus Christ has done.
We are the inheritors, lord.
And so, lord, I ask that forthose specific or your family
members, as we come to you thismorning, we give you honor and

praise and we worship you.
We thank you.
You are a mighty big God.
There is nothing impossible foryou.
So we're asking you to unlockour own mindsets, the way we
think, for those who have livedlives of poverty, who have been
told time and time again thatthey can't achieve anything, for
those who have been told thatthey just need to sit down and
be content.

Lord God, we're blowing off thedoors of that thinking this
morning because we areinheritors and, lord God, even
as we are inheritors in heaven,we're asking, just as we inherit
in the spirit, that we'llinherit in the natural and that
we will create behaviors overthis week.
That's going to set us up to besuccessful the entire month of
(23:02):
August and change our path.
Lord God, I pray for every oneof us as we sit down to write
plans, as we change our mindsetand we start to plan for what we
want to see with our finance.
Lord, you have given us muchand so, lord God, I thank you
for those who you've given jobsto right now, that they will
(23:22):
take care of the paychecks andthe finances that you've given
them For business owners and newbusiness owners who are just
starting, that you help them to,lord God, to finance and
forecast.
Lord, god, lord, we ask thatyou will today give us wisdom,
lord, as we sit down and writeout a budget for our families,
that we'll have the rightmindset as we're doing, that
(23:44):
we're not lacking in anything,but we know that we will need to
sacrifice something.
So, father God, if it's throughtithes or offerings, whatever
it is that you have put on ourhearts to do, to be obedient
with the money that you havegiven us.
Father, I pray for every familythat's preparing this week to
send their children back toschool.
I also pray for the teacherswho are filling out their
(24:07):
classroom supply lists.
Lord God, many of them don'thave the money.
So, lord, I ask that this week,there will be an overflow in
every one of our household.
Those who are waiting for aloan to come through, lord God,
those who are waiting for billsto be paid, they're waiting,
lord God, for help from you.
Our help only comes from you,lord.
So I ask that you will openheaven's door for us this
(24:29):
morning and that you will blesseach and every family under the
sound of my voice, wherever theystand in need of this morning,
lord God, that you'll fill theircoppers with gold, father God,
I ask that you will give themthe resources, lord God, so that
they will earn the money theyneed and beyond the need, lord
God, bless them.
Need, lord God.
Bless them so much, lord God.
Bless them in such overflow,lord God, that they will end up

blessing the very people aroundthem, not just blessing our
household.
Lord God, today I ask, lord God,that you will cease and stop
any attack that was launchedagainst our homes, against our
cars, against our mindset,against our bodies, bodies,
everything.
Lord God, as we travel, I pray,holy Spirit, that you will give
us the power to speak the thingand let the thing be done in

Jesus name, and we want yourpower, lord God, is only through
you, holy Spirit.
So we're asking that you willgive us even self-control this
month as we, as we, as we comein into alignment, what you want
us to do with our finances andwhen we move into September.
We'll move into September withhigh balances in our checking

and saving account.
We won't have any loss, we willhave gain, and that you would
have trained us this season sothat we can move into a season
of abundance.
Lord God, bless us and protectus from anyone.
Any evil thing, any scheme thathas been made, any marketing
scheme, anything that anyonesets out, whether it's through
influencers or even at the verychurch, lord God, lord God,

where thieves have been runningthrough your temples.
Lord God, anyone who tries tosteal the finances.
If our finances are leaking outof our hands, it's like for
those who, every time they get apaycheck, it's like sand the
money just falls through theirhands that you will shut that
down now.
Whatever contract they havesigned for generations before

them with the evil one that hasbeen snatching and taking their
money, lord God, I ask that youwill shut it down now, in the
name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we want to walk inabundance this month and in the
month of September and, as wekeep moving forward, one foot
before the other, that you'llcreate the right mindset and
behaviors to teach usself-control so we won't just
shop and buy everything.

And anytime we think, lord God,let it be a thought, anytime we
think about spending money onsomething frivolous this week or
this month, or even today, lordGod, every time that thought
pops up that you will remind usthat hey, hey, self-control.
If it's not something we need,we don't need, we shouldn't get
it.
This month, this is a monththat we're going to plant seeds

with our finances.
Oh God, we're going to showthat, lord God, and that you
will bless us in the harvesttime.
Lord, as we're moving into thisfall, we're understanding that
seasonal change also means thatwe have to shift.
Lord God, we need to be whereyour grace is.
So if you have put us someplaceand you are no longer there, I
ask, lord God, that you show uswhen to move and how to move.

Father, I thank you for everyfamily under the sound of my
voice, that they will seetremendous turnaround if they
are obedient to your voice.
So speak louder to us, holySpirit, so we can hear you
through the noise this month,and we bless your holy name.
Father, we thank you.
We receive all and every singlething that heaven has for us.
We don't believe in limitations,because of the mighty God that

we serve.
We don't even believe in timeTime isn't even real because of
the God we serve.
So we ask that you will eventurn the clocks around.
Turn the clocks back, lord God,father, for those of us who
need an accelerated blessing inour finances, that you'll skip
us to the front of the line,those who are waiting for a word
on a job or on a loan, lord God, that you will do that for your

children, those, lord God, whoseek you out.
We are seeking you out, lordGod.
Break the mindset of debt thathas been hanging over our heads,
break the spirit of poverty offof us.
Lord God, father, we areinheritors of your kingdom and
so we are asking for access.

so we're asking for access, lordGod, and breakthrough this

month, lord God, in our financesand turn things around.
We bless your holy name, father.
Bless our homes so that therewon't be any issues, no
electrical issues, nothing withplumbing, no issues at all.
That you'll bring peace, lordGod, I even ask that you bless
us into a season of renovationin our homes and remodeling and
making our homes beautiful andpeaceful and welcoming.

Because we want to be theportal to heaven.
We want to be the place wherepeople can come and sit and be
under your glory, lord God, andbe under your glory, lord God.
So, even blessing every familyunder my voice, bless us, each
and every one of us, so that wecan restore and renovate our

homes, lord God, so they'll bepeaceful and comfortable, so we
can draw more men, we can cometogether we can congregate, Lord
God, even, lord God.
Even in that we thank you, lordGod.
We thank you that this is amonth of generosity in our
spirits, lord God.

spirit.

because we're going to agreewith everything I just said, and

We're the righteousness of God,and you got to remember that.
Favor does surround us as ashield.
So does divine protection.
It surrounds us as a shield,and we are in the right place at
the right time.
We can't be defeated ordestroyed, and every tongue that

accuses you and me, and everytongue that attacks you and me,
I condemn with my words Thankyou, father, god, that you have
marked me to be able to speak onyour behalf.
I don't care what my title is.
I don't need a title, I don'tneed a five-fold, I don't want
any of that.
I just want access and power tothe kingdom of God, and that's
what you have given me.
And, in obedience to what youhave said, I release it now over

every person that's listening,with an ear to hear Lord God.
So I thank you, god, becausethis is our heritage, this is
our right as a child of God.
We're made in his image, we'remade with his dominion and
authority, and he says and I'mnot broke and authority living
in me, coming forth out of myspirit through my words.
Thank you, holy Spirit, thatyou're declaring today that

Satan has zero power over ourlife and every weapon he uses in
our finances will be defeated.
And that fear of being brokeand that fear of poverty and
that fear of lack and that fearof the future, none of that,
that fear is cast out.
It's God's love that's makingour faith work and therefore we
can't fail.
And his word, god's word, can'tfail.

We're made up of his word.
It's in our DNA.
We're made in his image, we'reafter his likeness.
Thank you, god.
With the power of the HolySpirit and the authority of his
words, he speaks over our lives.

Therefore, by the blood of Jesus, we can dwell in this awesome

aligned to building out.

We won't be looking around atour circumstances and saying,
well, my family never could,well, maybe we're the ones to
take them to the next level.

So for those, lord God, youhave marked for this time, to
take our families out of poverty, to come out of the poverty
mindset, to always looking forlack, always having an excuse
for not doing something, thatyou will change and shift things
around, lord God.
We are not going back to theold versions of ourselves.
We have been delivered.

You have delivered us and youhave delivered us.
From this mindset, father, Ipray a special ask now that
those who will come intofinances as things start to
change, that they will not losethemselves to it, that then
money doesn't become the root ofevil for them, that they won't
use this money to hurt or harmothers or to oppress those

around them.
As we're planting the seeds, weknow that there will be a great
harvest, not just for ourselvesand our families, but also for
our communities.
So I'm asking, lord God, forthose, that you remind them, as
you did in Deuteronomy when youtold us of our blessings.
Lord God, you also warned usthat we needed to come back to
you and give you honor andpraise, that we don't waste the

blessings that you give us.
So, father, I thank you for thespeaking engagements and all of
the opportunities and all ofthe mentorship programs and the
coaching things and all thethings.
I thank you for the steady.
I thank you for those who arekeeping a steady employment and
they're happy with that.
They're happy, they're contentwith the portion of you giving

them a job.
And so, while they are on thejob, Lord God, even though they
might have desire for more, thatyou will, lord God, you will
show them when and how to moveso that they don't move off of a
job just because someone istelling them that they can make
money quick if they start theirown.
There's so many who havestumbled into that decision,

who've made the wrong call,because they were irritated on
the job.
So I ask, lord God, that youwill even speak to the heart of
those who have stepped into that, who jumped too quickly, lord
God, that you'll put them backinto a job so that they can work
that appointment until theappointed time, and that you
will show them when there is areal release, because you're not

going to put us in a season oflack.
That's not you, you're not thatfather, you're not an unkind
father, and so we bless you andI ask that you will correct the
mindset, that you will give adoor open, even as contractors,
or God, give them theopportunity, even as contractors
, to take on a part-timeassignment and while they're

working on that assignment, thenthey can build the business out

You know what I'm saying, lord,so that they won't have any
lack in this season.
They won't have doubt, theywon't be scrounging for finances

We don't want to have to beg,steal or borrow money from
nobody, lord God.

every person who has thatmindset, lord God.

And we want to be, lord God, wewant to be businessmen and
women, we want to beentrepreneurs, all of those

confirmation when I'm hesitantto talk about something.
So I'm sitting in our churchyesterday and minding my
business, as they say, and andthere was I was going to say an

ad, but there was anannouncement that came up in our
church I go to Perimeter herein Georgia that they are
actually going to be talkingabout this subject called
Journey to Generosity.
So they're going to be talkingabout money in the month of
August, and I was like what?
That's what I'm doing.
So we're calling today MoneyMoves or Missteps.

Our intention today is to prayabout some things, asking for
wisdom.
A lot of times when we go tothe Lord, we're asking him for
financial blessings.
But it's not like you know, godisn't like a genie.
Where you go and you pray andyou're like bless me, and then
the money just pops up.
Um, he gives you the resources,um, sometimes the, even
(06:52):
awakening the desire, and I'lltalk about that a little bit, if
you let me um around beingfinancially blessed.
I think there's so many folkswe've got it wrong Uh, I, I, uh,
and.
And.
As I was thinking about thissince last Thursday, because I
(07:13):
was even on the prayer phoneline, asking for prayer for
wisdom, for how to talk aboutmoney in a way that it doesn't
come off cringy, it doesn't comeoff like oh gosh, there she
goes right.
But we have to have the rightrelationship with money.
I know a lot of Christians, alot of folks, a lot of folks
will run to money is the root ofall evil, and it is true.
If your intention is to getmoney and your focus is to

consume and just consume wealthand that's your focus you don't
care about people, you don'tcare about how you get it, you
know, or you have such a disdain, you have a poverty mindset
where there's such lack in yourtalking, there's such lack in
your thinking, and then youstart to become bitter with
people who might have money.
You know, who does she thinkshe is, and you don't need all
that and you don't need to bedoing all that and everybody
can't do that.
So there's so many, so manyways to pull on this topic,

which is again, like I said, whyI'm going to share a couple of
just personal things with me andthe intention here is to
encourage all of us to take alittle bit different look at
money this week and then, if, ifthe Lord leads me, then we'll
keep talking about it in August,totally separate and totally
different topic that we'retalking about on the Thursday
podcast which, as a quickreminder, y'all can find the

This weekend I was thinkingabout just how big God is, and I
think we've gotten so used totreating God like he's a bestie

that this weekend I was justsitting back, like when you feel
really just pause and thinkabout the God of all, the
creator of the universe, he whois everywhere and nowhere.
At the same time.
When I say nowhere, I mean likea blank space, not that he's
not evident.
When you think about, like,even if you try to wrap your

mind around it, even if you tryto envision it in any way and I
was really trying this weekendto wrap my mind around this
incredible God, like if youwatch, like I watch, I like
movies or like shows, that showI even.
I enjoy learning about Greekmythology, not because I believe

in Greek gods.
I enjoy learning about Greekmythology, not because I believe
in Greek gods, but when Ilisten or read about that it
kind of puts a perspective.
If you think about the god ofthunder and even those gods are
still not as powerful as the godbecause they were created,
right, you know what I'm saying.
Even if you try to do it levelby level by level, you will be

mind blown.
I also think about that sameYahweh, that same creator of
heavens and earth, that sameeternal being, that same
incredible force and power thathas the world in the palm of his
hand.
That same incredible Yahweh ismy Abba, that's my father, right

And so the things that I do,the breath that I take, even the
lifespan that I have, like I'mstill connected to him and I
just want to remind us every nowand then.
We got to lift our head out ofour troubles and look up and see
how incredible, amazing andawesome this God is that we

serve and y'all, and so when youdo that, your perspective might
be a little bit different,right?
So, anyway, I say all that tosay that you, you might feel
like what we're going to talkabout when it comes to money and
how we position for that.
I, absolutely I don't thinkthat we have anything.
Nothing is impossible to mebecause of the God I serve.

When you lift your head up andyou start to understand and you
ask God to give youunderstanding of who this
incredible, eternal being, y'all, again, we, I think we get so,
um, comfortable when we talkabout even our lord, our savior,
jesus christ, our brother.
Right, when we speak about him.
(13:46):
We just think about the jesusin the bible, right, we think
about the jesus at easter, wethink about the jesus on the
cross, but you're not thinkingabout him, he who is all, he who
was before everything, he whoreigns.
You're not thinking about theHoly Spirit as this incredible
(14:06):
light that, when he is in you,that his features come out of
your mouth, your eyes, your ears, you start to have more faith,
more joy, more love, moreself-control, just by the nature
of his light, like we have tolift our heads up and see.
You know again just themagnitude of the God we serve.
(14:28):
And so it's important that youhave that perspective, because
if you don't, when we starttalking about money, the first
thing that's going to come toyou is you ain't got it right.
The first thing that will cometo some of you well, my family's
always been poor, or we used tohave money and then we lost it.
I'm just fine where I am, Idon't need nothing, right?
(14:53):
You start your thoughts, you'llstart to convince yourself into
lack.
You'll start to look at thingsthat's counter to the great God
you serve.
So that is going to require amind shift for all of us.
All, right, if you don't liftyour head up and acknowledge the
mighty, incredible, big Godthat we serve, you'll start to
(15:17):
become comfortable with lack.
You'll start to becomecomfortable with not having
access.
You'll start becomingcomfortable with being broke.
Right, that's not our fathery'all, we are royalty.
I mean, if we truly understoodthe magnitude of the God we
serve, we would see thingsdifferently.

So I'm going to challenge ustoday to see things just a
little bit, even if it's justfor the next 15 minutes, y'all,
just to challenge ourselves tosee things a little bit
differently.
And again, it's not that we'repraying for wealth, right, but
we are praying for resources andwe need it through finance, and
it's okay to ask God.
Listen, if you don't need it,then you don't pray this prayer,
but if you're like me and youneed it, then we're going to

pray this.
Okay, we're going to ask ourFather for what we need, and if
you don't, if that's not yourthing, that's all right.
Okay, but for those of us whoneed it, we're going to go ahead
and ask our great, incrediblefather.
The three scriptures that I wantto share with you before we go
into prayer the first isProverbs 21, verse five.
These are all a Shelly versions.
Okay, esv, the plans of thediligent, the diligent.

Now I want y'all again be wiseto these words.
Okay, cause nothing I'm goingto say to you is going to say
you sit back and things justshow up.
Nothing I'm going to say to youis going to you just sit back,
imagine and manifest.
It requires something.
It requires something on ourpart and it says the plans of
the diligent lead surely, toabundance.
The plans meaning you have tohave a plan.

So a lot of us are stuckbecause we don't have a plan, we
don't have a financial plan, wedon't have a financial plan, we
don't have a job plan.
You might have the desire tostart a business, but don't
leave your day job to start thatbusiness.
Start that business when youhave enough money in your
account that equates to your dayjob.

That's when you leave your dayjob.
Right, stop jumping.
All right, have a plan.
What does your plan look likefor the rest of this month?
Or maybe you want to kicksomething off in the month of
August, like for me.
I've written down the two bigbuys that I'm going to have, my
personal big buys outside ofpaying my bills and putting
money aside.
The two big buys I'm going tohave in the month of August and

that's all I'm'm gonna do forthe month of august.
Just two things each paycheck,understand.
So what is the plan?
What is your plan?
Right?
And it says lead surely, toabundance.
It means that our focus isgoing to be what we do, the
seeds we plant we're going tofocus on leading it says surely
to abundance.
Well, abundance means thatyou're also being wise with what
(17:58):
you have in your hands.
So we're going to ask the Lordto give us wisdom so that
whatever plans we have is goingto lead to abundance.
Amen.
And it says but everyone who ishasty comes only to poverty.
So we're not going to just rushinto things.
Some of us have things in ourAmazon cart.
We're going to need to movethat to our wishlist.
Okay, right, we're not going torush into any financial
(18:20):
decisions this month.
Right, we're going to slow downjust a little bit.
And that does include travel.
That does include conferences.
This is conference season.
That's why I keep saying thisright, conferences, where you go
, you pay your money and everyyear you go and you're still
going for the same breakthrough.
Okay, we're going to put apause on that.
Okay, so I'm sorry for y'allwho are listening, who already
(18:42):
put the money out, but we'regoing to be a little bit more
cautious about where we put themoney In the month of August,
even where you maybe eat out alittle bit less.
Don't starve yourself, right,don't starve yourself from the
things that you need.
A lot of us have invested a lotof money in self-care.
But even with that, is theresomething we can do to invest

our money in a different way sowe can lead to abundance?
We don't want to go inSeptember in the way that we
started August.
We want to have an abundantSeptember.
Okay, all right.
Luke 14, 28,.
It says for which of youdesiring to build a tower.
So if you're desiring to buildanything a tower or a business,

or maybe you're trying to buildup your savings account, your
checking account, whatever it isright.
Desiring to build a tower,maybe trying to pay off or do
renovation in your house, payoff your bills, kids about to go
back to school, y'all.
So now we have to put moneythere.
It says for which of youdesiring to build a tower does
not first sit down.
Sit down and count the cost,budget y'all, whether he has

enough to complete it.
So we're going to sit down andwe're going to look at where
we're going to spend our coinsfor the month of August.
Right, we're going to considerit whether or not we can afford
some of the things that we'reattempting to do, again that
we're changing our mindset.
And then James 1.5 now brings itback to the Lord.
So see, first we started withhaving the mindset, the plans of
(20:13):
the diligence.
So we have to change ourmindset.
We have to actually startthinking about having actual
plans about how we're going tomanage our finances this week
leading into August.
The second step is that we'regoing to sit down now and we're
going to consider, before westart throwing money and
building things and buyingthings, we're going to sit down
and count the cost.
(20:33):
We're going to make a budgetright.
First thing is mindset.
Second thing is budget.
The third thing is we come backto our father.
Now, this is why I started thatWe've got to understand we serve
a mighty, mighty, big God.
Okay, nothing is impossible toGod, nothing is impossible.
So if nothing is impossible toGod, nothing is impossible to me
(20:55):
, nothing is impossible to you.
All right, there is zerolimitation on us this month.
We thank you, lord, that you'regoing to give us wisdom in this
specific area.
The word says if any of youlacks wisdom, let him ask God,
ask your father, who gives whatGenerously to all, without
reproach.
He's not going to look at youand say I can't believe you're
(21:16):
asking me for that.
Okay, it says it will be given.
So we have to believe.
But you got to have a plan, yougot to have a budget and then
you got to have wisdom.
So those are the three areasthat we're leaning into as we're
closing out July.
Like I said, it starts with ourmindset.
We got to remember who we serve.

Father God, I thank you that youbrought us here this morning,
and for every family under thesound of my voice, as we are all
in need of something, that youare the only resource we truly
have.
We worship your awesome namethis morning and we cry out to
you as your children, father, weknow that we are your children
because we have received and webelieve we have received the
Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviorand our King, and that everyone

isn't your child.
We're not all children of God,but those who you have marked,
those who have received andbelieved because of the
suffering, because of what theLord Jesus Christ has done.
We are the inheritors, lord.
And so, lord, I ask that forthose specific or your family
members, as we come to you thismorning, we give you honor and

praise and we worship you.
We thank you.
You are a mighty big God.
There is nothing impossible foryou.
So we're asking you to unlockour own mindsets, the way we
think, for those who have livedlives of poverty, who have been
told time and time again thatthey can't achieve anything, for

Lord God, we're blowing off thedoors of that thinking this
morning because we areinheritors and, lord God, even
as we are inheritors in heaven,we're asking, just as we inherit
in the spirit, that we'llinherit in the natural and that
we will create behaviors overthis week.
That's going to set us up to besuccessful the entire month of

August and change our path.
Lord God, I pray for every oneof us as we sit down to write
plans, as we change our mindsetand we start to plan for what we
want to see with our finance.
Lord, you have given us muchand so, lord God, I thank you
for those who you've given jobsto right now, that they will

take care of the paychecks andthe finances that you've given
them For business owners and newbusiness owners who are just
starting, that you help them to,lord God, to finance and
forecast.
Lord, god, lord, we ask thatyou will today give us wisdom,
lord, as we sit down and writeout a budget for our families,
that we'll have the rightmindset as we're doing, that

we're not lacking in anything,but we know that we will need to
sacrifice something.
So, father God, if it's throughtithes or offerings, whatever
it is that you have put on ourhearts to do, to be obedient

Father, I pray for every familythat's preparing this week to

I also pray for the teacherswho are filling out their

Lord God, many of them don'thave the money.

every one of our household.

We won't have any loss, we willhave gain, and that you would
have trained us this season sothat we can move into a season
of abundance.
Lord God, bless us and protectus from anyone.
Any evil thing, any scheme thathas been made, any marketing
scheme, anything that anyonesets out, whether it's through
influencers or even at the verychurch, lord God, lord God,

where thieves have been runningthrough your temples.
Lord God, anyone who tries tosteal the finances.
If our finances are leaking outof our hands, it's like for
those who, every time they get apaycheck, it's like sand the
money just falls through theirhands that you will shut that
down now.
Whatever contract they havesigned for generations before
(26:19):
them with the evil one that hasbeen snatching and taking their
money, lord God, I ask that youwill shut it down now, in the
name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we want to walk inabundance this month and in the
month of September and, as wekeep moving forward, one foot
before the other, that you'llcreate the right mindset and
behaviors to teach usself-control so we won't just
shop and buy everything.
(26:40):
And anytime we think, lord God,let it be a thought, anytime we
think about spending money onsomething frivolous this week or
this month, or even today, lordGod, every time that thought
pops up that you will remind usthat hey, hey, self-control.
If it's not something we need,we don't need, we shouldn't get
it.
This month, this is a monththat we're going to plant seeds
(27:02):
with our finances.
Oh God, we're going to showthat, lord God, and that you
will bless us in the harvesttime.
Lord, as we're moving into thisfall, we're understanding that
seasonal change also means thatwe have to shift.
Lord God, we need to be whereyour grace is.
So if you have put us someplaceand you are no longer there, I
ask, lord God, that you show uswhen to move and how to move.
(27:23):
Father, I thank you for everyfamily under the sound of my
voice, that they will seetremendous turnaround if they
are obedient to your voice.
So speak louder to us, holySpirit, so we can hear you
through the noise this month,and we bless your holy name.
Father, we thank you.
We receive all and every singlething that heaven has for us.
We don't believe in limitations,because of the mighty God that

We don't even believe in timeTime isn't even real because of
the God we serve.
So we ask that you will eventurn the clocks around.
Turn the clocks back, lord God,father, for those of us who
need an accelerated blessing inour finances, that you'll skip
us to the front of the line,those who are waiting for a word
on a job or on a loan, lord God, that you will do that for your

children, those, lord God, whoseek you out.
We are seeking you out, lordGod.
Break the mindset of debt thathas been hanging over our heads,
break the spirit of poverty offof us.
Lord God, father, we areinheritors of your kingdom and

making our homes beautiful andpeaceful and welcoming.

We want to be the place wherepeople can come and sit and be

So, even blessing every familyunder my voice, bless us, each
and every one of us, so that wecan restore and renovate our

homes, lord God, so they'll bepeaceful and comfortable, so we
can draw more men, we can cometogether we can congregate, Lord

what you have given me.

every person that's listening,with an ear to hear Lord God.
So I thank you, god, becausethis is our heritage, this is
our right as a child of God.
We're made in his image, we'remade with his dominion and
authority, and he says and I'mnot broke and authority living
in me, coming forth out of myspirit through my words.
Thank you, holy Spirit, thatyou're declaring today that

Satan has zero power over ourlife and every weapon he uses in
our finances will be defeated.
And that fear of being brokeand that fear of poverty and
that fear of lack and that fearof the future, none of that,
that fear is cast out.
It's God's love that's makingour faith work and therefore we
can't fail.

We're made up of his word.
It's in our DNA.
We're made in his image, we'reafter his likeness.

With the power of the HolySpirit and the authority of his

It's time for you to understandthat you're a king's kid, as

It's time for you to understandyour position and your place If
you want to do things forpeople in this here world, in
your community, even in your ownfamilies.

You got to have a differentrelationship with the finances.
We got to have a plan and amindset.
We've got to stop waiting forbad things to happen and start
thanking you for the good thingsthat's coming, that there is
better and better and better.
Your word says, surely goodnessand mercy follows us.

for the rest of this day, forthe rest of this week, for the
rest of this month, for the restof this year, for the rest of
our lives.
That we will see, lord, god,your goodness and your mercy,
not just in our jobs, but in ourfamilies and in our finance.
That you'll show us, lord God,how to plant the seeds, the very
small seeds, even if it's fivedollars.

That you'll show us where tospend that money.
That, as we'll put that money,where you tell us, as we plant
that seed, that you will causeit to multiply 10,000 times,
lord God, that you will bless usin this month, everything that
we do with our hands will beproductive and successful.
Lord God, Whether we're typing,lord God, whether we're building

, lord God, whatever it is we dowith our hands, anything that
we do with our minds and ourthoughts, this month, lord God,
whatever it is we do with ourhands, anything that we do with
our minds and our thoughts thismonth, lord God, it will be
aligned to building out.
Lord God, there won't be anyfear, there won't be any lack.
We won't be looking around atour circumstances and saying,
well, my family never could,well, maybe we're the ones to
take them to the next level.
(36:49):
So for those, lord God, youhave marked for this time, to
take our families out of poverty, to come out of the poverty
mindset, to always looking forlack, always having an excuse
for not doing something, thatyou will change and shift things
around, lord God.
We are not going back to theold versions of ourselves.
We have been delivered.
(37:10):
You have delivered us and youhave delivered us.
From this mindset, father, Ipray a special ask now that
those who will come intofinances as things start to
change, that they will not losethemselves to it, that then
money doesn't become the root ofevil for them, that they won't
use this money to hurt or harmothers or to oppress those
(37:32):
around them.
As we're planting the seeds, weknow that there will be a great
harvest, not just for ourselvesand our families, but also for
our communities.
So I'm asking, lord God, forthose, that you remind them, as
you did in Deuteronomy when youtold us of our blessings.
Lord God, you also warned usthat we needed to come back to
you and give you honor andpraise, that we don't waste the

blessings that you give us.
So, father, I thank you for thespeaking engagements and all of
the opportunities and all ofthe mentorship programs and the
coaching things and all thethings.
I thank you for the steady.
I thank you for those who arekeeping a steady employment and
they're happy with that.
They're happy, they're contentwith the portion of you giving
(38:14):
them a job.
And so, while they are on thejob, Lord God, even though they
might have desire for more, thatyou will, lord God, you will
show them when and how to moveso that they don't move off of a
job just because someone istelling them that they can make
money quick if they start theirown.
There's so many who havestumbled into that decision,
(38:34):
who've made the wrong call,because they were irritated on
the job.
So I ask, lord God, that youwill even speak to the heart of
those who have stepped into that, who jumped too quickly, lord
God, that you'll put them backinto a job so that they can work
that appointment until theappointed time, and that you
will show them when there is areal release, because you're not
(38:55):
going to put us in a season oflack.
That's not you, you're not thatfather, you're not an unkind
father, and so we bless you andI ask that you will correct the
mindset, that you will give adoor open, even as contractors,
or God, give them theopportunity, even as contractors
, to take on a part-timeassignment and while they're
(39:18):
working on that assignment, thenthey can build the business out
.
You know what I'm saying, lord,so that they won't have any
lack in this season.
They won't have doubt, theywon't be scrounging for finances
.
We don't want to have to beg,steal or borrow money from
nobody, lord God.
So I ask that you will, lordGod, you will speak to each and
every person who has thatmindset, lord God.
(39:39):
Thank you, lord God, that youhave given us the seeds.
And we want to be, lord God, wewant to be businessmen and
women, we want to beentrepreneurs, all of those
things, lord God.
But we want to do it inalignment with what you say and
how you say it, and then thetime that you say it and where
you send us, lord God, we wantto do it in order, we want to do
(40:00):
it in lockstep with you.
So I ask you, god, that youwill give them all the downloads
for every plan and every budgetand every person they need to
speak to, and that, lord God, wegive even all of those things
back to you and with your stamp,lord God, with your goodness
and your mercy, we can carrythings out.

You're an amazing Father.
