Speaker 2 (03:07):
All right, good
morning y'all.
It's Thursday, it's August,it's August 7th and I'm so
grateful for this day.
I'm just turning on, I call it.
It's soaking music, so I try tohave something.
Actually, let me do somethingdifferent, y'all.
Let me just change things up alittle bit, if you don't mind.
Again, I'm excited about themonth of August, but I'm always
(03:31):
excited about new months becauseit gives us an opportunity to
start over.
I love a refresh and a startover and I'm not ashamed to
admit it.
And again, the month of August,we typically look at this as a
month of new blessings.
Good morning, dr Tracy.
Good morning Facebook family.
Everybody who watches the replay, replay, whether you're also
(03:53):
the folks who listen on theaudio.
Thank you all for watching andsupporting and please don't
forget to like and share.
And again, I always forget thispart, but it's important to
help us get the word out andkeep us relevant on the youtube
streets, so please don't forgetto do that.
But um, what I wanted to saywas you know, what I love about
starting new months is we havean opportunity to kind of shed
(04:16):
the skin, leave the failuresbehind and be in the month we
just come out of, and then itgives us an opportunity to reset
, reframe our thinking and startover.
Some of us are starting overand I say I know I say this
enough, uh, so that y'all areprobably like I know, we know,
but I always tell you to leavethe baggage behind.
(04:38):
Whatever didn't serve you inthe previous month, don't bring
it to the new month, right?
Uh?
So, even saying that, as we'removing into this new month, this
first first week, we're justgoing to talk really quickly
about needing something to standon, and you know, in the word
we talk about having a firmfoundation, and I just want to
(04:59):
also share just again somethings that's happened to you,
girl, on this side, in real life, because we're doing life
together, and maybe some of theexperiences I'm having look a
little bit like what you'rehaving and I'm praying that both
of us will be encouraged by it.
Right, and so needing somethingto stand on.
So I'm going to share my screenbecause I have a scripture.
(05:21):
It's a little bit long for meto drop it in the chat y'all.
So if you bear with me, I'mgoing to go ahead and just share
my screen and it's going tocome out of Matthew 7, verses 24
and 25.
Obviously, the HLE ESV versionand this little caption you're
seeing here build your house onthe rock.
(05:42):
It's in the Bible, I mean, it'sin the version in ESV, not in
the scripture.
Ok, so here we go.
Everyone, then, who hears thesewords of mine and does them.
So let me just pause for aminute.
Thank you, holy Spirit, forbringing us your word and giving
us your wisdom.
Thank you, lord, for showing usthis new month, allowing us to
(06:03):
wake up in it, and no matterwhat our situations are, whether
we're having any sense of lossor lack, that, you'll give us
the tools, the resources and thewisdom so that we can see the
answers that you are providingto us in the form of people, in
the form of idea, in the form ofinspiration and encouragement.
Lord, and I ask, now that youbless us, to hear your word
(06:24):
clearly, speak to each of usindividually, so we can hear
exactly what you've got for us,lord, and that we can go on
about our business.
Thank you for divine helpyou've already sent us, and we
just bless your name.
You're such a good father.
Amen, I can't start withoutthat, y'all.
So the scripture says everyone, then, who hears these words of
mine and does them, will be likea wise man who built his house
(06:48):
on a rock.
So there's two things here thatI want to, actually three
things here that I want to showyou just in verse 24, and we're
going to apply it to our lives.
We're going to make itrelatable, right, so we can use
scripture to help us live ourlives out, all right?
So the first thing is everyone, then, who hears these words of
(07:11):
mine?
Okay, the thing is, when we'reasking the Lord, we're asking
him for wisdom, but we're askinghim to open up our ears so we
can hear what he has to sayabout certain situation and I
know, you know, a lot of timesthat's really hard, because if
you're, if you're, anoverthinker, you start to craft
these narratives in your headand the Lord, god, has nothing
(07:34):
to do with it.
I'm always fascinated whenwe're especially on social media
, because it's such a thing,y'all, where people will pop on
and they'll drop something, andthe Lord told me to tell y'all,
and really it was him tellingyou, not us.
Tell y'all, and really it washim telling you, not us.
(07:54):
Okay, so we have to be wise tohearing his words, but we also
have to be wise enough to knowwhat he's saying to us
individually.
And then it says and does them.
You know and does them.
So when he's showing you, um,this month, as he's speaking to
us, we're in a position wherewe're humble enough to listen,
because it's not always theLord's telling you you're going
to win a lottery.
And if you listen, I'm going tosay if you go to a conference,
(08:17):
you're going to come back andeverything's going to change.
You have actions that you haveto do.
It says and does them.
So you have to hear his word, hear the words, and then again
does them and it says then, right, it's a hearer and a doer.
Then you'll be like a wise manwho built his house on this rock
.
So so, as we're thinking aboutthe month of August and
(08:40):
everything that we do, y'allwant to put ourselves in the
position where we're yes, we'reasking the Lord to speak to us.
He's speaking to us.
Sometimes he sends it in theform of correction from somebody
you don't like, but he isspeaking to us, right, and then
we take action and he says andthen then we'll be like a wise
man who built this out on a rock, on something strong, on
(09:03):
foundation, not just, but, youknow, not just building the
foundation on.
You know, again, most, mostChristians will read and hear
the word about the foundationand the Lord being the rock and
all of it, and we only applythat to well, the foundation is
the blood of Jesus and we leaveit there.
But we also have to do somethings right Now.
(09:25):
What I love about verse 25, thisconditional statement it's like
it's, it's it's basically in inmy interpretation for for our
application purposes today, Igot to do all the disclaimers
right, but the but the way we'regoing to use it today in our
situation is for those who hearsthese words and those who does
these, you know, does the words, follows through on the action,
(09:48):
right, the actions that alignwith what the Lord is showing
you again, and and those peoplewho are building their house on
a rock, those who are obedientto what the lord is telling you.
Then it says and the rain felland floods came and the winds
blew and beat on that house, butit did not fall.
Why?
Because it was founded on arock, there was a solid
foundation.
So when situations come, whendeath, when debt comes, when
(10:14):
plans fall through, when youlose your job, you feel like
you're losing your mind, whenyou feel like you're being over
take, overtaking.
When circumstances come, youknow, all these things happen.
You're not gonna fall apartbecause you're solid.
On that rock, I feel like Ijust poured a song, right, you,
you were, you were solid, youwere, you were, you had a solid
(10:34):
foundation and um.
So now I'm gonna sharesomething with you.
Let me just come out of the wordreal quick and I want to share
some.
Just a really quick, practicalexample of um having this solid
foundation and having a mind, amindset where you're willing to
listen.
Right, because a lot of us,it's easier for us to listen and
hear from those.
(10:55):
Maybe someone who looks likeyou, maybe someone who dressed
like you, maybe someone who grewup like you.
It's easier for you to listento someone who kind of mirrors
your thinking.
But what happens if you onlylisten, if you only listen?
So, for example, yesterday I hadthese amazing conversations and
(11:16):
before I went into the officeand I'm telling my business
before I went into the office, Isaid my you know, said my
prayer, prayer made mydeclaration of the day.
Okay, and something that I wasasking the lord is that show me
where I need to adjust.
Right, you know, I'm, I amcoachable, okay, so show me
(11:36):
where I need to adjust mythinking.
And so, um, I had not only likea couple of meetings, but I had
the opportunity to be, to be inthe company of women, and it
was.
It was one of those situationswhere we just, it just happened
Right, I was, I had allowedmyself to be, um, uh, vulnerable
(11:56):
enough and available right, sothat I could be in the company
of these women and we just weretalking and sharing things that
weren't our was, were, uh, wason our heart.
We talked about family, wetalked about business, we talked
about life, and it was really,it was so good.
But in the middle of thatconversation, I knew when the
Lord started to speak to methrough someone who might not
(12:17):
have known that he was doing, but I'm wise enough to know when
he's speaking to me and he'sspeaking through someone because
it was confirmation afterconfirmation after confirmation
on something that he was showingme.
Okay, and so then what happenedis after I took that counsel
and I went back.
Thank you, lord, for showing meI was.
(12:37):
I was, uh, again, humble enoughto hear open my ears, and then
it was a do so I heard, and thenthere was an action that I had
to do.
I had to follow up with thatperson.
Okay, I had to come out of myshell and my comfort zone and
follow up with that person tosay, hey, can you give me, can I
get 15 minutes on your calendar?
(12:58):
What was happening now is Irecognize that the Holy spirit
was using this individual.
Again, the Lord will useanybody he chooses.
Okay, stop looking, for youknow, the Lord is only going to
use a person with a possibletitle.
That's not the case.
Okay, god uses who God uses.
Okay, so I'd realized that, that he was speaking to me, that
(13:20):
he was um, that he was shiftingand shaping me, he was course
correcting me through someoneelse and I had to do something.
And I thank God for the favorbecause it worked out that the
things are going to happen.
I'll get to meet the person, etcetera.
Now I'm sharing all this to saythis very simply that it's not
just when we say we needsomething to stand on.
(13:43):
I'm standing on the very basicprinciples that the Lord has
already given all of us.
He's already told you who youare.
He's already told you thatfavor surrounds you as a shield.
He's already told you you havedivine protection.
What more do you need?
Now?
You have to go out and do so.
I stand on what God says aboutme every day.
(14:05):
I stand on what the word saysabout me, and so, because I am
grounded, because I hold on tothat foundation, then there is
nothing that anyone can tell methat can counteract that.
For example, if I come on hereand tell y'all I'm going to be
an astronaut, crazy as it sounds, I'm believing.
If I say I'm going to dosomething, I'm going to be an
(14:26):
astronaut, crazy as it sounds,I'm believing.
If I say I'm going to dosomething, I'm going to do it.
I don't have any.
I don't.
I'm not an imposter.
I keep saying that you can't bea believer and be and then claim
these things of the world.
We're not fake, we're notimposters, and I don't have to
fake it till I make it, becauseI know who created me, I
understand what he's done for me, I know what he's delivered me
(14:47):
from, I understand favor andgrace.
So so because of that, y'all,we can walk into any room.
We can.
We can right.
We are in positions where Godhas placed you right.
He's put you there, and so youshow up with a different level
of courage.
Right, we don't claim thingsthat are counter to what the
Lord says.
(15:10):
That's why the verse it says itdidn't fall when rain came, when
doubt came, when distress came, when all the things came, winds
blew, beat down your house.
All the things are happening.
You won't fall apart becauseyou've been founded on that rock
, right, you're solid on thatrock.
You're not pulled apart justbecause something goes wrong.
(15:31):
Oh, lord, the devil's chasingme.
Let me tell you something weare blessed children of god.
Go back to deuteronomy, and, and, and even bring back to your
own memory the blessings thatyou have come under.
Okay, the same blessings indeuteronomy applies to us.
So, every now and then, go backand say, okay, wait a minute,
if I am a child of the king, ifI'm a, if I'm a child of the
(15:56):
creator of all creation, right, because we don't worship
creation, right, the creator ofall and everything.
Then what do I have to beafraid of?
When you start to reallyremember, y'all, who you are in
the spirit, when the Holy Spiritstarts to show you like hold on
a second, you've been markedand set apart, okay, then then
(16:16):
you start to understand thecourage that the disciples had,
right, you know when, then youstart to understand why they
could walk in such courage?
Because they knew who they were.
We're not perfect, but we knewthey knew.
The same way disciples knewknew who they were.
I love David, I love the heartof David.
(16:37):
David knew who he was.
It didn't mean that he didn'tmake mistakes, it didn't mean
that rain, rains didn't fall,winds didn't blow, things didn't
go, things didn't happen, buthe was standing on that
relationship with God and heknew who he was.
I know how God sees me.
Do you know how God sees you?
Or you're waiting for somebodyto tell you?
(16:57):
I can stand on what the wordsays about my life, and so every
day, I started to do this thingnow, where I start to, to, to
command, after I prayed, youknow, for the day, and I thank
God for all the blessings andall the things and wisdom.
Lord, I want your mindset, Iwant to see things from your
perspective.
Then I start to command the dayto yield the fruits for me,
(17:22):
right Yield, the debt yield, andso so I want to encourage you
don't stand on just what peoplesay.
You can't even again.
I love a women's empowermentconference, but it always
troubles me For those of y'allgo to the conference.
You spend your hard coin, you goand you're blessed and two days
(17:42):
later you're back in a trench.
You're back in a psychologicalwarfare you created on your own
and then you call that spiritualwarfare.
No, a lot of times it's justdisobedience.
You've been, you've been, you've gone in on a sugar high.
When the sugar's over, youstart to blame God or you start
blaming the devil.
Come on, y'all, you got to knowwho you are and whose you are,
(18:10):
and that's what you stand on.
So if you know that the Lordhas blessed you he's given you
these awesome talents, Wheneverthe rains fall and the winds
blow, it means it doesn't meanthat he's taken that away from
you.
It means that you need toadjust your thinking right.
You have to adjust yourthinking so different
opportunities can show up to youin a different way and it's not
always going to come to you inthis in the way that you've been
used to.
(18:30):
If I was disobedient yesterday,I would have missed about five
hours worth of blessings.
Okay, if I was just, you know,I'm saying like if I, if I was
going with a quote religiousspirit.
I wouldn't hear what anyoneelse to say because they're not.
They're not sounding the way Ithink they should Come on y'all.
So again, I told y'all I'mreally excited about this month
(18:53):
of August for all of us, all ofus.
I really want us to do betterthis month than we did last
month, and to do better andbetter each month.
We only have a handful ofmonths for the rest of the year,
and so you've got to be able toadjust your thinking
differently this month.
All right, and again, I lovey'all.
I really honestly, when I say Iwant all of us to be successful
(19:16):
, I mean that spiritually,financially, mentally, health
wise.
I want success in every area ofyour life.
I want you to be able to bereminded when you're in the dark
places, before you get todepression, before doubt takes
over.
I want you to be reminded ofthis power that you have through
the Holy Spirit in your belly.
(19:37):
I want you to walk into roomsand not be worried about whether
you fit there.
You belong there.
Jesus sent you there, then youbelong there, that's all to it.
If he puts you in the jobyou're in, it's your job.
Now it's up to you to do thething right, the best of your
ability.
You don't have to question whatpeople think.
People are always going to talkabout you, trust me, right, but
(19:58):
you don't have to worry aboutwhat people are saying.
If you're focused on theassignment right, if you're
doing things in the best of yourability and making your father
proud, if you honor the peoplethat he put in your life,
whether they like you or not, okay, because the Lord will take
care of everything.
Right.
And remember that favoractually does surround you.
(20:19):
It does.
It is a protection when youhave the level of favor.
I'm talking about that.
Even when we make mistakes,y'all, even when I make mistakes
, the Lord will course correct.
He will do it in a way, I'lllearn the lesson right, but
he'll course correct me in a waythat I won't suffer.
I don't have any suffering.
There is no sufferingwhatsoever that happens to me as
(20:41):
a believer.
As his daughter, I always say,as his favorite, that it's done.
You know why?
Because I am always yieldingand submitting to him right, and
that's something that I canstand on and I encourage you to
stand on that.
So, as you go back into yourprayer closets this week, or you
pray in your car, or maybeyou're just praying, you know,
just standing around the house, wherever it is, even at the,
(21:04):
even at the bus station.
You know, you.
You say a word of prayer.
Ask the Lord to reveal to youwhat, what areas he wants you to
focus on this month.
Don't worry about what otherpeople are saying.
This is not the season to becaught up in gossip.
This is not the season to bedistracted.
Right, and then, as he startsto show you, you start to
command your days to now.
(21:25):
Yield to me all the promisesthat God has for me.
Stay focused on what you'redoing.
We're still in the year ofdiscipline, y'all, and I told
you, when we get to December, weshould be celebrating,
regardless of all the thingsthat's happening around us.
We should still be celebratingbecause God has been faithful,
god has been good, god has beenmerciful, god has been kind,
(21:45):
right, he's been a loving father, he's provided for all of us,
even at our lowest low.
He's pulled us out of the verydepths of that right and, if
nothing else, he's giving you acommunity to pray alongside you,
right, three praying sisters,y'all.
Come on, he's giving you.
You know, if you've asked Lord, send me, send me help.
He's sent you help.
(22:06):
Have you taken the help?
Have you done anything with thehelp?
Right?
So I pray that, bless you, Ipray that, bless you, I pray
that, I pray, I really do and Ihope that, as you're hearing, go
back and hear what I'm saying.
Go back to Matthew seven, verses 24 to 25, and see how
that, see how you can weave thatinto your day for the rest of
(22:27):
the week.
If you need something to standon, the Holy Spirit is available
, okay, but so are we.
We.
That's why we're here, right,that's why we're here as a
community of prayer partners.
As I say it, if you needsomeone to stand with you,
that's why I'm here, I'm not.
I said, if you need someone tostand with you, that's why I'm
here, I'm not.
(22:47):
Listen, I know I come on randotimes.
I've been doing this for yearsnow Okay, but if you need
someone to stand with you and wedon't even know each other,
just know on the other side ofthe screen, just pretend we're
besties and I know you and youknow me, and I'm standing with
you If you have no one else.
There's a lot of men who havelost jobs and they feel so
absolutely alone right nowbecause they are the
(23:09):
breadwinners in their family.
Let me just tell you, if youneed someone to stand on, I'm
going to urge you find a friendgroup.
Don't allow yourself to fallinto depression.
You're not alone.
But at the very worst case, ifyou can't even find a friend
group, there's somebody hereevery Thursday at 7am, on all
(23:29):
these broadcasts, speaking toyou and hoping to lift your
spirits.
Okay, so I'm rooting for you,I'm pulling for you.
We've got this, y'all.
We've got this if we help eachother out.
So that's all I have for today,thursday.
I know I rambled a little bit,but I had to talk to the
brothers, because I knowbrothers watch this too, and I
hope that this helps you.
Thank you, Lord, for this day.
I thank you that your wordswill yield fruit in someone's
(23:50):
life, lord, god, that they'llpull from it what they need and
that you, holy Spirit, you'llspeak to them through
confirmation and lift theirspirits today.
Thank you for giving us thespirit of joy today.
I'm excited.
Amen, go out and have anawesome Thursday.
Don't forget to do me a solidlike and share the video y'all,
especially on Facebook.
What are y'all doing?
Share the video.
(24:11):
All right, I love y'all.
Jesus loves you more and I'lltalk to you next week.
