(01:47):
the time.
Uh kicking off the anniversaryfestive festivities and allowing
audiences worldwide to onceagain witness the tale of the
Fire and Boy, the Princess'sscoundrel, and the two androids
changing the fate of a galaxy.
Uh there'll be othercelebrations uh that year as
well, and we'll find those outlater.
On to next one.
Star Wars Faith of the OldRepublic was unveiled at the

(02:07):
2025 Game Awards.
Now, this game, uh developed inpartnership with Lucasfilm
Games, comes from a ArcanautStudios as described as a
narrative-driven single-playeraction RPG where players take on
the role of Force User in theGalaxy on the Brink of Change.
Which when isn't the Star WarsGalaxy on the Brink of Change?

(02:30):
Um now they're very happy to beworking on this game, but uh
don't hold your don't hold yourbreath yet.
This game will not be out forquite some time, think 2030s.
Now let's go on to the Marvelnews.

(02:59):
In anticipation of AdventuresDoomsday set for December 18th.
Also being released around thattime, and August 7th will be
star will be Supertroopers 3,which uh will be the same as
Super Troopers 2, 1 and 2.
There you go.
Let's go on to the Geek News.

(03:34):
Dogma, the Kevin Smith uh movieabout uh Catholicism, has been
re-released on 4K Blu-ray.
Now uh this has been a long timecoming, of course.
Uh the film was held hostage bythe wine by Harvey Weinstein,
who owned Miramax, who wascompany controlled Miramax.

(03:55):
So uh luckily a company acompany stepped in and has
gotten it back for them.
So the first ever Blu-ray fromLions Gate was released, as well
as a short term a short run intheaters, as well, and a parents
of the can film festival.
Now there's uh other the otheruh things in the works for Kevin

(04:22):
Smith, including uh Twilight ofthe Mulra of the Mulrats, which
is still it's been blocked for10 years, so uh it's it coming
to fruition is neither here northere.
So we'll just have to wait tosee.
Uh Jane Bob, Jane Silent Bob'sStar Wars, the third film was
supposed to shoot earlier thisyear, but was derailed due to

(04:43):
financing being withdrawn.
So uh hopefully he'll get thatshot next year with new funding.
He uh took it personally, sayingthat he felt responsible for not
being financially successfulenough to uh have to fund his
own art.
And also, he's back on thecannabis.
So uh get ready for more goofyuh skylarkings.

(05:06):
Anyway, let's go on to our nextstory.
Uh Disney has made a significantcommitment to artificial
intelligence, securing the mostnoble collaboration between a
Hollywood studio and an AIcompany to date.
This move signals Disney'sacceptance of AI.
Now, uh, this was an investmentin uh open of$1 billion in
OpenAI.
The deal establishes Disney as amajor customer, intending to use

(05:27):
OpenAI's tool technology todevelop new project products,
tools, and experiences, including for Disney Plus and
deploy Chat GPT for employees.
Now, uh the biggest part of thisis opting into their Sora 2,
which uh Disney is opting inbecoming the first major content
licensing partner.
The deal permits Sora users tocreate personalized short-form

(05:50):
fan video using text prompts anda vast selection of Disney
Marvel and Lucasfilm characters, including those from Frozen Star
Wars, Captain America, Yoda, etc., etc., etc.
Now, a selection of those videosare expected to stream with
Disney Plus.
Now, both companies haveaffirmed the commitment to
protecting creators andmaintaining robust controls
against illegal and harmfulcontent.
In other words, you're not gonnaget uh X-rated content or even

(06:14):
R-rated content from these, mostlikely.
So, you know, use your timewisely, folks.
And uh so they're very happywith this.
Let's go on to the next story.
Netflix and Warner Brothers haveannounced a agreement where
Netflix will buy WarnerBrothers, including the film
intelligence studios, the HBOMax and HBO.

(06:35):
Uh, this was worth about$82.7billion for the enterprise value
and$72 billion for the equity.
This announcement is uhalongside a competing bid from
Paramount Skydance, which ismore of a hostile takeover.
And uh they'll put that toshareholders.
Now the cash and stocktransactions are valuing WBD

(06:57):
shares at$27.75 per share.
Uh the completion of the deal iscut is uh conditional, and the
spinoff is currently projectedto be for Discovery Global
Networks, would be third quarterof 2026, with the subsequent
close of this deal in 12 to 18months.
Request with WBD shareholdersand regulatory clearances, which

(07:20):
there's already you know balkbalking at from all sorts.
Uh everyone seems to be againstthis.
Frankly, I like I would ratherNetflix have it than Paramount
at this point.
