Things take a darkly comedic turn during a company retreat when Larry, the travel liaison, is found murdered. Using her HR skills, Jemma begins to investigate, interrogating her eccentric and suspicious new coworkers. Throughout the season, Jemma navigates the quirky and dangerous personalities within the company, uncovering secrets and building alliances. Despite the danger, Jemma’s HR prowess shines through as she manages to oust the CTO, Trish, as the murderer, improve the workplace environment and is ultimately welcomed into this deadly den of assassins. With the truth revealed and the office slightly less toxic, Jemma’s journey proves that even in the most lethal of workplaces, HR can make a difference. And just when she thought she had everything under control, a cliffhanger reveals Jemma’s first hire, Shane, is a mole for a rival company.
