July 9, 2009 - Authorities are called to the home of Bryd "Bud" and Melanie Billings, a couple well known in their community for their business acumen and large family of 16 children, many of whom have special needs. Bud and Melanie are found shot in their bedroom and the attack happened while six of their children were home. The home invasion and murders were so swift and organized, they would soon be dubbed "The Ninja Killings".
