While it may have served Will Wood well to fall in line with the demands many artists face when confronted with an unexpected viral moment, the cult singer-songwriter has remained defiantly himself. In the theater, Wood's emotive storytelling and standup intertwines with his widely varying style of music in a way that refuses to conform to either tradition, and when with his band his raucous "Tapeworms" concerts are equally unconventional.
