Episode 426: Billboard Modern Rock Tracks - One Hit Wonders

On today's edition of the cast we talk about the plethora of one hit wonders that graced the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks charts over the years, and talk about how their contributions shaped the future of the chart to come. We discuss such artists like Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Butthole Surfers, Eagle Eye Cherry, Semisonic, Eve 6, Marcy Playground, and a whole lot more and how their one fleeting moment in the sun made for some of the most memorable and catchy tunes of the late 90's. One hit wonders aren't necessarily a bad thing, but for some artists it makes it hard to live up to the success and expectations from their prior hits. I also play a song from Boston's own The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and their massive 1997 breakout hit, "The Impression That I Get".
