Dubbed the “white Tracy Morgan” by Devon, comedian and writer Jo Firestone is on the pod this week to recount her Rockabilly roots in St. Louis, break down the magic of the Cha Cha Slide, and deep-dive into her favorite parts of Soulja Boy’s “Crank That.” Jo Firestone is a comedian and writer best known for her work on After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson (CBS), ZIWE (Showtime/A24), and Joe Pera Talks With You (Adult Swim). You can watch her most recent comedy special, Good Timing, currently streaming on Peacock. She can be heard hosting the long-running podcast, Dr. Gameshow, with comedian Manolo Moreno. She is also the co-author of two card games: Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers and Fruits. Her debut murder mystery novel, Murder on Sex Island, was published through Bantam and hit shelves in June 2025.
