The Uncertainty Gap: Staying On Track In Difficult times

What if the stories you tell yourself are quietly shaping your entire future? In this episode, Susan Britton—a pioneer in neuroscience-based coaching—reveals why so many of us get stuck in the “Uncertainty Gap” and how we can rewrite our internal scripts to move forward with confidence. We explore how the brain wires and rewires itself, why curiosity is a game-changer, and how coaching can help you shift your identity to align with your goals. If you’ve ever wondered why change feels so hard, or how to create lasting transformation, this conversation is packed with answers.

Episode Takeaways

·       Your brain is always wiring itself—repetition creates new pathways, reducing stress and helping change stick.

·       The “Uncertainty Gap” is real—it’s the fear-based space where self-limiting stories live.

·       Curiosity is your superpower—question your thoughts when you feel stuck or restless.

·       Start small and iterate—tiny changes create big momentum for career pivots. Rewrite your origin story—your past doesn’t define your future, but the stories you believe might.
